Job Title: A Wrinkle in Time
Rank: B
Job Location: Capital Crocus
Solo Word Count: 3500 Words
Group Word Count: 7000 Words
Additional Requirements: Ozwald Emeraude Morgan must be involved
Job Description:
It was just a lovely morning in Capital Crocus when an anomaly has befallen on Capital Crocus, though not one of a high magnitude, nor does it put its citizens in grave threat. No, the anomaly in question is referred to as a 'Time Skip', where civilians have noticed to have moved forward in time without any recollection of their actions. It wasn't noticeable at first and has been happening rarely, however, the anomaly has occurred multiple times.
As stated, the anomaly is not life threatening, but it is very annoying. The time skip's pattern is ever changing, some skipping time for 5 seconds, and the maximum observed time skipped is 30 seconds. This is where Ozwald's book, the Chronicler's Grimoire, holds the key to the mystery of the time skip.
An artifact bearing the script of the Brass Cogs has mysteriously activated on its own, and it is being kept by a collector of the unique and mysterious. The artifact in question is shaped like a sphere with a white surface and a golden trim, and it bears the insignia of the Brass Seraphs and the script of the Brass Cog.
Find the collector, disable the artifact, and retrieve it. Expect heavy resistance, for the collector is a man who has dealt with hired men who acquired his collection illegally either through theft or assassinating the other collector.
