Palace Magic
Magic Name: Palace Magic
Magic Type: Solitary Holder: Palace Type
Description: "A man's home is his palace..."
A statless holder type personal space magic in which the caster makes use of an enchanted building (a 'palace') as the primary source of their power. Weak practitioners can only work with a space the size of a small toolshed, but the upper echelons can utilize buildings akin to manors or castles.
There are several aspects to be considered with this art: The building itself, the building's contents, and the space it consumes. While a weaker mage will only rightly have very rudimentary uses for these aspects, a more practiced mage can change their palace's shape and materials to act as a fighting machine on its own. In fact, with some modifications, which are wholly within the realm and spirit of this art, one's palace could be totally decked out with any number of gadgets and weapons, simply by storing them inside the palace. Open the windows and fire a hailstorm of homing lasers? Sure why not.
Obviously its biggest weakness is the sheer size of itself, and while palaces are oft built with prodigious durability, that only ever seems to inspire would be invaders to try harder, often thinking bigger. Smaller palaces are more replacable and less durable, while larger ones cost more mana to move around, but are more versatile and sturdy.
Yogi Babel is a practitioner of this Magic, fairly straight and narrow with his style of use. As a member of Silver Wolf, he locates and hunts for treasures which he stores inside his Palace, and uses to modify it and attack; Or at least he will once he gets his hands on some of such relics... and a palace big enough to keep them in. Outside of that, there is nothing altogether special about his variant, it plays the theme directly, equally as effective at using the Palace as a weapon or a shield depending on the situation, functioning as a item or a territory in equal measure.
Lineage: Lucifer’s Descendant
Description: Lucifer took control of a vessel and mated with a princess of a very powerful kingdom, and gave birth to the son of the devil. But the princess knew the baby was born evil, so abandoned the newborn in the forest to die. Little is known about this lineage due to the common disbelief in the actual existence of this demonic child, but legends tell of supposed descendants of it that were capable of imposing their upon the demonic abominations of Hell itself and guide them into our own world...
Ability: The ability allows the user to open the gates of hell summoning 2 demons to the user at will. The demons are agile, strong, and have tough hides to protect theirself from magic. Demons have 25% HP of the user’s rank each and deal melee damage equal to the user’s rank(max S-rank) each. They have no special abilities and are basic in all respects (No strength or speed increases from base level for their rank effect)
Usage: 4 post duration with a 8 post cooldown. If all are slain the ability goes on cooldown.

Unique Abilities:
- Recuperation: While he is inside his Palace, people that Yogi designates heal at an accelerated rate. As long as Yogi stays in there with them the whole time, most nonlethal injuries will heal overnight except for severed body parts and unset broken bones, though it can fully 'reattach' severed limbs and heal broken bones back together if they are properly set. This effect only works if he sets his palace on a Ley Line.
- Fast Travel (B-Rank): Yogi can control a handful of smaller sub-palaces which are connected to his main palace in a manner similar to the palace and himself. These sub-palaces can be brought forth by his King's Call spell. Once inside, he can transport himself and anyone else inside to any other sub-palace or his main palace. He can only have three sub-palaces out and about, but he can return them to his main palace at any time. They can also be used as a medium for D Rank spells.
- Ability 3:
Spells
- Signature Spells:
- King's Trove:
- Name: King's Trove: Cannon
Rank: User Ranked (Up to S Rank)
Description: Once per post, Yogi can use his connection to his Palace to conjure a floating window linked to one of his Palace's, which opens up to reveal a magic cannon from his personal collection, that fires an exploding cannonball at a target. He can do this without his Palace being nearby.
- D-Rank Spells:
- King's Call:
- Name: King's Call
Rank: D
Description: With a snap of his fingers, Yogi summons his Palace to a location nearby with a puff of smoke. This is a neutral technique meant to put the Palace nearby, and can only accidentally be used to block an attack, as doing so on purpose is called a different name.
- King's Guard:
- Name: King's Guard
Rank: D
Description: He calls his palace to surround his body, effectively shielding himself from weak attacks. This can also be used to block for nearby allies or contain nearby enemies, although they'll be right next to the front door if this happens.
- B Rank Spells:
- Evict:
- Name: Evict
Rank: B
Description: Opening the front door of his Palace, Yogi teleports someone or something from somewhere inside his palace to be in front of it, and forcefully ejects them like a projectile. Said something or someone can be accurately aimed in an effort to blast a target, potentially dealing damage to both.
- King's Broiler:
- Name: King's Broiler
Rank: B
Description: Slightly modifying the palace, he bends his chimney to point in a set direction and connects his stove to it, creating a makeshift flamethrower attack that belches a burning gout of fire in a directional cone.
- Magnanimous Rain:
- Name: Magnanimous Rain
Rank: B
Description: Slightly modifying his Palace, Yogi connects some pipes together to form a powerful water system that pokes out the top with a showerhead. It fires water into the sky, causing the surrounding vicinity to rain, stanching flames and getting things wet.
- King's Command:
- Name: King's Command: Jump
Rank: B
Description: Yogi says 'Jump!', his palace says 'How high?' Alright, the palace doesn't say anything, but it sure does leap. It repurposes a pair of lower level rooms to act like legs, which propel the palace skyward, along which whoever happens to be on board. Only good for one jump at a time, but it has an astonishing vertical or a vast horizontal. The legs it forms to do this look oddly chicken-like.
- King's Trove:
- Name: King's Trove: Ballistae
Rank: B
Description: Yogi taps into his treasure room and takes a few magic guns off the wall, opening the windows of his palace and poking the barrels out, releasing a small fussilade of magical gunfire, taking the form of flowing lasers which weave through the air to strike one or more targets. The lasers don't home, but they can curve unpredictably, making them hard to merely sidestep.
- Shuffle:
- Name: Shuffle
Rank: B
Description: Once per post, within the confines of his palace he can swap some or all of the contents of one room or hallway with another room or hallway respectively. Alternatively, he can scramble all the rooms and hallways completely, causing the layout of his palace to change entirely.
- King's Ravenous Hunger:
- Name: King's Ravenous Hunger
Rank: B
Description: Yogi slightly modifies his palace, causing the chimney to warp in the direction of an oncoming spell or active spell, and 'inhale' causing the spell to be sucked down the chimney and into furnace, where it is stowed away and burned harmlessly. Not suitable for water spells.
- Advanced Spells:
- D+ Rank:
- The Hammer of Law:
- Name: The Hammer of Law
Rank: D+
Description: Yogi uses this technique to teleport his palace directly over the opponent's head and smash them underneath it. Fairly useless if the opponent can just lift the Palace. As the palace grows in size, it can affect a larger number of foes, though it becomes less viable in smaller places; Even when the palace is just toolshed, it's not usable indoors most of the time.
- B+ Rank:
- The King's Thunder:
- Name: The King's Thunder
Rank: B+
Description: Yogi causes his palace's electical wiring to temporarily go on the fritz, allowing him to arc a bolt of lightning into the sky, which comes down in a nearby target. If it has been raining for at least 2 posts, he can catch the lightning bolt in his palace's lightning rod, and channel the electricity into the ground creating a sizable blasting zone by conducting it through the water.
- The King's Bulwark:
- Name: The King's Bulwark
Rank: B+
Description: Yogi coats his Palace in a series of metal sheet layers, inside and out, which act as a set of overshielding for his palace. Should somebody strike this armor with a melee-range attack and not break it they will hurt themselves as well. Ranged attacks are still safe-enough to strike it, but it's still quite durable.
