Magic
Magic Name: Carpo's Prodigy Slayer
Magic Type: Slayer (Goddess)
Description: The Horae were a group of six goddesses that represented the seasons and order. The seasonal three were Thallo, goddess of spring bloom, Auxo, the goddess of summer and growth, and Carpo, the goddess of the fruit-bearing season - autumn. The three goddesses helped the growth of farming throughout the seasons, guiding the life cycle of the plants. Farmers revered these goddesses and often gave offerings of their plentiful crop to appease them.
Carpo was especially fond of humans and worked hard to make sure their harvests were bountiful enough to survive the winter. She loved how passionate the farmers were about their craft. Carpo's powers were used to fight off frost, bugs, weeds, and anything that may prohibit the crop from growing to fruition.
One year, the worst early winter the land had ever seen swept through, killing the majority of the crop despite Carpo's best efforts. The culprit was a demon, a nasty one whose magic directly opposed her own. The goddess and demon battled back and forth, desperate to either save or decimate the crop. At last, with the help of some local mages, Carpo was the victor. After the battle, she decided to create a lacrima and choose one of the mages to be her prodigy and travel the lands, teaching about the care of plants and using the lacrima's magic to help those in need. For generations, mages have been chosen by Carpo.
After mysterious circumstances surrounding the last host, following a strange hiatus, the Lacrima seemed to go without a host, removed from the world for months, until nearly two months later Carpo resurfaced as she found the next successor, a non human mage who already possessed a unique connection with plants, the Nature Fairy Lunaris, who by coincidence was the daughter of a previous candidate that never received the lacrima. As Carpo's Prodigy, Luna's innate power over plant life and nature is drawn out beyond it's peak.
Luna's initial skill set was about conflict aversion, keeping her targets at bay through using the environment and range based skills and allies. However as Carpo's Prodigy she acquired more versatility with an addition of close to mid range skills, focusing on creating plants and molding the earth, and meshing two together.
