Ever since his brother, Michael, went berserk back in the Observatorium and eventually finding out that he has literal demons in his body, Ozwald set forth in search of answers to remedy his ailing brother. With that in mind, the Motherlode could not supply the remedy he seeks, for it is hypothesized that the knowledge he seeks is long gone. Still, he can't sit idly while his brother lives with demons. Who knows how long he has before these demons take over?

Ere long, Ozwald has traveled far and wide across Fiore in search of the knowledge he needs to help his brother, even clues to the history of these demons will suffice. He even bid his time looking at others' collection of antiques and scrolls just so he can get an understanding of his brother's situation. His efforts in searching for clues in this enigmatic situation has proven fruitless. Ironic it is that the book he wields harnesses the power of time, and yet time is against him in his race to save his sibling. It is only a matter of time before Michael turns, and without any data of his current state, he has no clue how much time he has left.

The Alumni of Grimwold is incapable of helping him. After all, a collective of non-mages can only do so much and he would rather have them use their resources on research and development of magicless contraptions. Just when he felt his efforts to be in vain and about to fall to despair, a sliver of hope revealed itself.

Francois, his brother who is part of the Rune Knights, have told him of the guild Silver Wolf. Astonished to hear they also delve into research and the likes, perhaps it is best he paid them a visit. He wondered why he has not heard of this guild before, most likely that prior to his brother's predicament, he never cared joining a guild, and has remained ignorant of their importance ever since.

"O Brass Cogs, ignite the flames of the still furnace." A small spec of flame bursts forth from his book as he finished chanting, giving him warmth as he starts his trek through the snow storm, hoping to find it soon before he suffers under the extreme cold. Though it is snowing, the fire he created is in no danger to be put out by the harsh winds. Still, with all the winter gear and all, he never expected the snowstorm to be this cold. His flame isn't being very helpful in keeping him warm.

As an adventurer extraordinaire, there is no weather he can't endure. This is all for the sake of his brother, and he will get the answer he seeks or die trying.

    -In the Guild Master's office-

Wearing her green, gold, and white outfit with Argent Gloves, Leona was in the Guild Master's office browsing clothing catalogs in an effort to find the supplier of Celestial Fabric, that miracle material that repaired itself whenever damaged. She had a blue, white, and gold outfit that could repair itself thanks to Ruvel, but she wanted a Celestial Fabric version of her green, white, and gold outfit because she wore that particular outfit the most. Leona should have been doing something more productive with her time like actually doing paperwork, but Silver Wolf's Aces were all good at their jobs, a fact which left Leona with a much lighter load of administrative work to do than she had when she did not have any Aces to help her. Looking for Aces was something she should have done a lot sooner than she had.

Leona did not dwell on that thought for long because it was an unpleasant reminder of how far she still had to go before she could even consider herself a remotely competent Guild Master. However, what she lacked in personal administrative acumen she had made up for in the selection of competent Aces. Aspen, Mercury, and Theo all had their own quirks, but when it came down to it they were good at their jobs and that was all that mattered. The guild was in safe hands as long as they were around.

Leona was thumbing through a clothing catalog from Bellum when she felt a magic signature somewhere close by. That was the Wizard Saint's cue to put down the clothing catalog and go check it out. Leona stood up, pushed her chair in, and made her way towards the guild hall foyer to meet the new person and see what brought them all the way out here.

    -Outside the Guild Hall-

Leona strode outside the guild hall and spied a well-dressed brown-haired man about her height who had the air of a scholar. If that were true Silver Wolf had need of him, but she was not sure that he was here to join Silver Wolf. Leona would find out what he needed before assuming that he was here to join the guild. The Wizard Saint made her way through the snow to speak to him instead of making him walk to her. She needed the exercise anyway.

"Hi there. I'm Leona Jarnefeldt, Guild Mistress of Silver Wolf! How can I help you?" Leona introduced herself before asking the well-dressed brown-haired fellow how she could help him. The cold did not bother her too much since she had lived in this region for almost two years now, but it still managed to punch through her outfit with contemptuous ease even without the wind blowing. Maybe she should start wearing a jacket whenever she went outside.

Ozwald has endured worse snowstorm than this. To be honest, he doesn't know how much longer he'll last under this extremely frigid weather, with the heat from his grimoire the only thing helping him bear the extreme cold. Dying from hypothermia certainly does not bode well with him. At the very least, he is more than happy to pass while taking a nap beside the fireplace.

Ere long, he has come farther from when he started. He certainly cannot go back now that he has traveled far. Looking back, a part of him regrets journeying through the storm unprepared for the worst. It would make sense for a guild to be fortified, on this case being the frigid cold weather.

His trek through the snowstorm was cut short when a woman clad in green, gold, and white, introducing herself as the guild mistress of the guild. In his mind, he thought himself to be most fortunate to meet the guild master. "Salutations! The name's Ozwald Emeraude Morgan, adventurer extraordinaire and treasure hunter." He introduces himself per usual in this manner, as it is customary for him to regale his audience of his profession. Mannerisms aside, he is having a hard time offering the woman in front of him a respectable gesture. "I daresay I have never been through a snowstorm as cold as this one. As for my purpose, I've come seeking knowledge concerning what ails my brother dearest, that is, if you're welcome to accommodate my inquiry."

Upon greeting the man Leona learned that the man's name was Ozwald Emeraude Morgan. Ozwald also identified himself as an "adventurer extraordinaire" and a treasure hunter. Leona was intrigued by these claims... Silver Wolf could use a man of his talents, but whether he joined or not was his choice to make. She would just have to speak to him and find out what motivated him to come this far into the Phoenix Mountains. As it turned out, she did not have to wait very long to hear his reason.

Ozwald had come to Silver Wolf Guild Hall to seek knowledge that could help his brother with a problem that he was experiencing. Leona was intrigued by that and wondered what sort of problem his brother was experiencing, but finding out what that problem was would have to wait because Ozwald had asked if she was open to answer some questions of his. She was willing to answer questions the best she could, but out in this inclement weather was not the best place to carry on an extended conversation with Ozwald. Ozwald himself had dropped a hint to that effect earlier on. Acting on that hint, Leona's next move was to suggest that they go inside the guild hall before continuing to talk.

"I'm willing to help the best I can, but you look kinda cold. Would you like to go inside the guild hall before we continue this conversation?" Leona asked Ozwald, pointing towards the guild hall not too far away from their current position. The Wizard Saint was getting kind of cold herself. The outfit she was wearing was intended for everyday wear in warm climates, not cold ones.

When Leona expressed her willingness to help him in his endeavor, he was delighted. He admires Leona's willingness to help him in his plight, though the question remains whether the information he seeks are available or not within the guild. Still, even if they lack the information he seeks, what's a guild like them standing tall without any purpose? Perhaps then they can help him recover the information he needs to figure out what exactly ails his brother, as well as how to cure it.

Although... she is right. It is too cold to continue talking in the midst of a very cold snowstorm. He nods in agreement, eager to get somewhere warmer before the cold takes its toll against him. He does not want to be remembered by dying due to hypothermia, afterall. "I'd be delighted to."

Ozwald's next course of action now would be to follow the guild master back to their guild hall, eager to resume their conversation once they get somewhere warmer. He feels a little excited to know what its members look like and what they are capable of. Back in his youth, he'd be fascinated by magic so much he had an entire encyclopedia of magics, though he later gave it to his brother Francois, who is more fascinated with magic than him.

    -Outside the guild hall-

"OK then. Follow me and I'll guide you to our guild hall." Leona said to Ozwald as she pointed towards the guild hall and began slowly walking towards it so that he would have plenty of time to catch up to her.

As the Wizard Saint made her way to the guild hall the structure appeared to loom over her. It seemed to challenge her authority as she approached it, demanding to know by what right she claimed the title of Guild Master. Several months ago she would have had no good answer to the silent question, but thanks to the hard work of her Aces she finally had one. Instead of continuing to live in the shadow of Leila Vergious and Poko Monstar and preserve the status quo Leona had finally effected a change that would keep the guild going strong. Together with her diligent Aces, Leona had reorganized Silver Wolf into three distinctive divisions that served the organization as a whole.

Together with her Aces the Wizard Saint had divided the guild into Hunters, Scholars, and Defenders to serve the guild's role of magical research, conversation of magical artifacts, and treasure-hunting. That innovation had already drawn more mages to the guild and had also given Silver Wolf a clear mission, but it would be up to Leona to keep the ball rolling on the  progress that had been made to date. There was still much work to be done, but now she could finally begin emerging from the shadow of Leila Vergious and Poko Monstar and build her own legacy as Guild Master.

Leona slowed down to let Ozwald catch up to her and paused in a zone where the cold was not nearly as intense. She silently thanked Leila for having the foresight to employ weather-based defenses to discourage hostile incursions into Silver Wolf territory. She also thanked Leila for making a zone where the cold was less intense so that potential members would not freeze to death before reaching the guild hall.

"It's not much further, Ozwald. You should be a little warmer here." Leona encouraged him to keep going. It was not like she really had to encourage him, but Ozwald had come this far and was clearly cold and tired. He might need a helping hand to make it the rest of the way and if that was the case she would be glad to provide it.

Ozwald squints his eyes and tries to find the guild hall, which he eventually found. Excellent. Just a few minutes of trudging through the snowstorm and he should be in someplace warmer. He follows suit as he fixes his gaze on the guild, admiring the appeal and architecture of it. He tries his best to follow Leona towards the guild hall, and slowly but surely, he feels himself warmer and warmer. Ere long, he caught up to her, and the snowstorm isn't as bad as it used to when he started his trek towards the guild.

At long last, the embers on the pages of his book starts to warm him up more and put his freezing to a halt. The snow covered ground isn't as deep as it was when he first arrived, which lets him move around with ease. He is so close to finally being able to seek the help he needs to help his ailing brother, and it was the thought of him that let him persevere through the harsh climate. He couldn't give up, and if anyone has any leads on what's ailing, it could only be him. He has the resolve to see things through that he will gladly lay down his life just to save him.

"I should be fine on my own. I daresay it doesn't look like the weather is as bad here. Perfectly manageable, as is on one of my adventures in cold climates" He says as he continues to march towards the guild hall, and perhaps a bit eager to meet a few of the members after he converses with Leona. He wanted to know what being in a guild looks like, with peers who wield unique magics.

Leona watched Ozwald in case his condition was worse than she had anticipated, but as he drew closer to the guild hall he began to move quicker and more smoothly. She was glad to see that he was doing better than he was when they had first met. The Wizard Saint was from the desert and even after living here for almost two year she still had difficulty with the cold, but it had to be a lot worse on someone who had seldom traveled in cold climates.

Leona listened to Ozwald talk and was glad to hear that he was not a total stranger to the cold, which was good because if he joined Silver Wolf he would be traveling to a variety of places. Ozwald would need all of his adventuring experience to make it through some of the places he would would be going. Depending on the needs of Silver Wolf he would be traveling to danger zones like the numerous sections of the Cursed Lands, Desierto, the Spooky Forest, or perhaps even Sin, a place that Leona had not yet been to.

"So... where have you traveled to, Ozwald?" Leona asked Ozwald, letting her curiosity take over. She was something of an adventurer herself, one who had traveled far and wide across Earthland in her brief but eventful career. Leona's mother was not pleased with her life choices and always tried to get her to come back to Desierto to stay, but Leona steadfastly refused because this was her life to live, not her mother's. Going back to Desierto to stay would have been impossible because Leona had long ago abandoned the "small desert village girl" mindset needed to consider life in a small desert village even remotely bearable. While she would doubtlessly have plenty of adventures in Desierto before her career was over, Leona could no longer live in Nebdoui and be content with her life, not after everything she had seen and done up to this point.

Since he was asked of his endeavors prior to his coming to the guild, Ozwald smiles, gladly regaling Leona of his adventures. It is not often that he was asked for stories of his adventures save for his other sibling, Cinna. He loved hearing his stories.

"I have been through numerous ruins, donated most of the artifacts and treasures I found to the museum. I was paid kindly, too. Recently, I discovered an ancient ruin near the shores of Cedar by the cliff side. I had my team of archaeologists and scholars come hither towards it in hopes of uncovering lost knowledge as we always do. We were called the Alumni of Grimwold, though I'm a more recent addition to their ranks, I believe? They're a collective of scholars and researchers, same as the guild. The difference being their incapacity of wielding magic has allowed them to develop and research gear that requires no magic and tailored to them."

He fixes his gaze on the ember sparked pages of his grimoire, looking back at what happened back in the ruins. "I wasn't a magic user then, until I happened to acquire this book back at the ruins. I daresay it's peculiar for a book to be found in a library filled with scrolls. Can't you believe I cast a spell that reversed the flow of time?" He chuckles, remembering how he and his brother was being overrun by clockwork golems, threatening to take their lives away. Back then, they had no way of stopping the horde from their rampant onslaught until the pages revealed a spell that could turn back time. "It was then that I truly experienced wielding power, the power to save lives."

Having a hunch that he doesn't need his spell to keep him warm, he closed his tome, sparks of ember fleeting from the pages and dissipating into nothingness. "Do you perchance know of the Brass Seraphs?" He asks the guild master, wondering if she has any knowledge of the tale of an ancient civilization that sought to harness the power of time. Not much was known of them, save for their intricate marvels of engineering, and how there's no one to inherit their legacy is unknown. The Tales of the Brass Seraphs was a children's book that inspired him to take up engineering, though he later found his higher calling as an adventurer extraordinaire. His skill and knowledge as an engineer has been useful to him and got him this far thanks to his ingenuity.

Leona's question soon yielded that Ozwald was not making an idle boast when he had claimed to be an adventurer extraordinaire. He had recently discovered a ruin in Cedar that had been a fruitful find for him and his group, the Alumni of Grimwold. She had never heard of them before today, but there were likely dozens of groups just like it scattered across Earthland that labored in obscurity. A special feature of the Alumni of Grimwold was that their membership was composed of normal people who could not use magic, but they compensated for that inability by researching and developing special gear that boosted their abilities without the use of magic. Leona found that to be an impressive way to compensate for what some would consider a major problem.

"I've been to quite a few places across Earthland, Ozwald. I've been to Hargeon Town, Silent Cemetery, Desierto, Spooky Forest, Lycan Woods, Haunted Castle, Minstrel, Midi, and a bunch of other places that I could list if we wanted to stand out here all day." Leona said to him, employing only a mild degree of hyperbole as the pair continued to move towards the guild hall. The Wizard Saint had indeed been to numerous places across the land and had deliberately omitted a few so that the pair could go inside the guild hall before nighttime arrived. Despite her longer career and greater range of travel she felt that her accomplishments were not quite as good as Ozwald's, but they were still respectable accomplishments nonetheless.

Many months ago Leona had found a Muserian Focusing Stone and the magical sword Sand-Splitter; both were items found in Desierto and originated from a time long before the sultans came to power. She had also helped Dr. Anna discover a temple filled with artifacts belonging to the ancient Lestrek people in the Forgotten Deserts. Leona may not have done quite as much as Ozwald in the field of archaeology, but Leona's accomplishments were still nothing to sneeze at.

Leona listened to him describe the book in his hands and how he cast a spell that affected time. The blonde had always been curious about that kind of magic. While slowing or stopping time did not have the raw power and speed of her magic or that of other mages, slowing or stopping time was powerful in its own right because a Time Magic user could easily shift the flow of battle in their favor with a single spell. They could use that shift in momentum to attack themselves or help an ally with offensive magic or weapons set up for an attack. If they had enough control over time, they could even age up or age down opponents and render them powerless to resist the Time mage or his allies.

She blinked when she heard the name "Brass Seraphs." She had never heard of them before. Who or what were they?

"I didn't know that you could use Time Magic, Ozwald. And I've never heard of the Brass Seraphs before." Leona replied to him just before the pair got to the front steps of the guild hall. The Guild Master stepped up and opened the door for Ozwald so that he could go first.

"We can talk about the Brass Seraphs in the guild hall if you'd like." Leona said, holding the door open for him.

OOC: I have Ozwald's permission to move his character to the guild hall.

He assumed the guild master of Silver Wolf is interested to know more about the Brass Seraph, and had a face of eagerness. As much as he would want to, however, he doesn't know much of them save for their brief history and accomplishments. "As much as I would love to regale you about the Brass Seraphs, I have little to no available information of their history save for their marvels of engineering and a few pages worth of their tale in a children's book." He says as he enters the guildhall with the guild master, though he feels he should be the one to open the door for her. Wouldn't want to leave a bad impression to the guild master.

Ever since he and his team acquired the scrolls from the Tomb of the Brass Seraphs, they have made little to no progress on translating the contents within them. Even cross referencing symbols and scripts didn't bear fruit. Up until now, the scholars of the alumni are hard at work in translating these texts. Perhaps the key to his brother's ailment can be found within one of those scrolls, this he thought much, but if he wants to make any solid progress, he has to get help from a guild. "There's not much information would could gleam from the scrolls and it's proven difficult to translate them."

As he enters the guild hall, he was greeted with the warm atmosphere of the guild. From the dark wooden walls to the carpet covered floor, it almost feels as if he's at home. And he was glad to be finally out of that snowstorm, and he's thankful for the blonde woman for her assistance in reaching the guild. And thank the higher powers he didn't die of hypothermia on his way here, even more so if he would get sick from the cold. "This place looks cozy. I like it here. Where will we be continuing our earlier conversation?" He asks while he was looking around at the guild hall, admiring the craftsmanship on the structure.

Leona was hoping to learn a more about the Brass Seraphs because she had never heard of them before, but she was informed by Ozwald that he knew little about them except what little he could learn from their "creations" and a few pages from a children's storybook. That was hardly encouraging, but if that was the case then Ozwald could not help it. Still, the mention of the children's storybook with their tale was something she could possibly go on... maybe Leona should ask him about it some time in the future. It might look dumb for a Wizard Saint to buy a children's storybook, but sometimes the truth was hidden in unusual places just like the demon-quelling sword Shoki was hidden "opposite the blind" in Okyto Temple. The cryptic clue meant that the sword was hidden inside a secret room opened by a panel located in the wall opposite the statue of a blind priest, but on the surface the clue sounded like just a misleading remark... true adventurers had to learn to read between the lines and search unlikely places to find the truth.

"It's OK, Ozwald. If you really don't know anything about them yet, I won't hold it against you. Searching for answers to old mysteries is part of what Silver Wolf does." Leona replied calmly, stating that she was not mad at him for his ignorance of the Brass Seraphs. She was ignorant of so many things like operating modern technology, blacksmithing, and other things she should know as the leader of a science-oriented guild. Leona was slowly working to close the gap, but she needed to learn faster so that she could hold her own if her Aces were out in the field or otherwise occupied. If anyone had a right to be mad over ignorance, Silver Wolf's Aces would be fuming at Leona for foisting a lot of guild paperwork onto them instead of doing them herself because she had a shaky grasp of the finer points of bureaucracy.

Leona heard Ozwald ask where they would be continuing their conversation and thought about her response for a moment. By slowing down and thinking carefully she soon came up with two viable options for a place to talk. Both had their perks.

"I have two suggestions for you, Ozwald. If you want something to eat and drink and be in a relaxed atmosphere, we have a cafe that we can go to. If you want privacy for what you're going to ask me, we can go to my office. It's your choice as to where we go from here." Leona laid out a couple of options for Ozwald to choose from. It was his choice as to where they went to continue the conversation and either option was fine with the Guild Master.

Presented with a choice between two locations to continue with their earlier conversation, Ozwald ponders for a moment to think of where wants to go to. But perhaps it is more of a need than want, as information regarding the Brass Seraphs and their artifacts might be known by spies should there really be one. He knows how powerful the artifacts of the Brass Seraphs are, though from what the blonde haired woman said, she herself has not read of the tale of the Brass Seraphs. It must not be as known as he thought. Then again, who has the time to believe a myth? Other than him, that is.

He does want to see the guild members of Silver Wolf and what they can do. He's still a magic geek after all, similar to his twin brother, Francois. What better location to continue conversing and observing the other guild members than the cafe? He's also quite exhausted from all the walking and climbing towards the guild. "Perhaps we could continue our chat on the cafe? I would also like to meet some of the members if that's ok. I daresay I'm quite excited to meet with the rest of the guild." He says as he removes his emerald tinted goggles he used to traverse the snowy climate, which he also uses as safety goggles when working with machinery.

"You want to go to the cafe to continue our conversation? OK, we'll go there then." Leona said to Ozwald. She would not mind taking a trip to the cafe because she had been meaning to try a new blend of coffee they had recently imported from Desierto. Whether that coffee was imported because someone on the staff liked it or because someone was trying to curry favor with Leona was up in the air, but the blonde wanted to try it anyway. Several months ago in Hargeon Town Leona had tried a blend of coffee from Desierto named Tri-Cities Delight and found it to be strong but pleasant-tasting... the strength of it made the blend an acquired taste. Fortunately Leona had consumed many a cup of coffee back home, so she was no stranger to strong coffee.

"There are plenty of other members of the guild that you have a chance of meeting, Ozwald. They're all over the guild hall either working on a project or preparing to go on a job, but the cafe tends to be a common meeting ground. If you're lucky you might even meet one of the Guild Aces who helps me run the guild." Leona replied to Ozwald expressing hope that he would get to meet some other guild members when the pair visited the cafe. Thanks to the hard work of Aspen, Mercury, and Theo plus a little help from Leona herself, the guild was currently undergoing a revival since it had found a clear-cut mission and reorganized itself into three divisions of specialists who worked to serve the guild's mission of magical research, artifact conservation, and treasure-hunting. Silver Wolf seemed to have a bright future ahead of it, but this was no time for Leona to rest on her laurels. She had to continue becoming a more responsible Guild Master and start doing more jobs that benefited the guild instead of her pocketbook or her personal armory. However, as a Wizard Saint, Leona was obligated to answer any and all calls for help whenever they reached Silver Wolf Guild Hall.

"Is there anything special you'd like to get at the cafe?" Leona asked Ozwald an easy icebreaker question to keep the ball rolling. To become a better Guild Master Leona had to learn how to talk to people, especially her guild members and prospective guild members. That was going to be tough to do, but Leona would have to learn to speak with people more naturally than she did now if she wanted to remain a Guild Master and Wizard Saint.

Ozwald wasn't sure what to get in the guild's cafe. He wasn't aware guilds have their own cafes until now, or maybe it's just a Silver Wolf thing. From the cold weather he endured, however, he needs something warm to consume and thaw away the cold. As a bookworm and mechanic, he is very fond of coffee and their miraculous spell of keeping him up in the morning. "Hmm... I'll have some coffee, then, if you don't mind. And some croissants, if there is any." He says as he pulls out a pair of correctional glasses and wipes it off before wearing it. He is nearsighted and he needed them in order to see properly, and his safety goggles has lens that also correct his vision.

"I must say, I never expected a guild to have a cafe of their own. Does every guild have one?" He was curious about it and was meaning to ask the guild master about it. There is a lot he doesn't know about guilds, and this is his first time in a guild building. That, or maybe it is his inquisitive personality that wants to sate his curiosity, morbid or not. It has always been that way for him, back when he was still a kid who asked too many questions. Annoying, perhaps, but he has grown to learn to ask the right questions without asking alot. "Or is it a unique thing in this guild? Pardon if I ask too much." He says, apologetically.

"I believe that Fairy Tail also has a cafe, but I don't remember if it was attached directly to the guild hall or if it was in a separate building. I was in Magnolia Town almost two years ago for the Fairy Festival and visited the cafe... or was it a bar? I'm thinking it was a bar. I was part of the Fairy Festival as a duelist, so I don't remember a lot about the festival other than my duel with Aven Alveron and the fireworks show." Leona explained to Ozwald why her information was kind of fuzzy and hoped that he would not get upset with her for her uncertainty. She had been so excited about the duel at the festival that everything else was a blur. She recalled Samira Nassar and Arcadia Fairchilde providing commentary while she dueled Aven Alveron, which was an exciting duel because he was the first of a very few mages to ever set Leona on the back foot from the start and keep her there. Only her desperate gambit of ordering her Harpy Sisters to stand on Aven's magic circles gave her victory.

Aven was a very talented mage with hard-hitting offensive spells and powerful defensive spells who controlled the tempo of the match from start to finish with his excellent command of magic and an impeccable sense of timing. Leona was not even able to scratch his magic shield while he easily gave her grief with his powerful long-distance spells.. she wondered how a rematch against him would go now that she had become more powerful than she was back then. Then she remembered that Aven had also had time to improve and learn a few new spells himself, so she would not be able to exploit the weakness of his magic circles a second time.

Leona recalled that Ozwald had expressed a preference for coffee and croissants, if the guild cafe had any. Leona knew that the guild staff was diligent about keeping the cafe supplied with what it needed to serve customers, so there should not be any shortage of coffee or croissants unless there was a snag in the supply chain. She had not been informed of one, so the Guild Master assumed that everything was running smoothly and that the cafe had what it needed to serve its patrons.

"There shouldn't be any problem that would keep you from having coffee and croissants. The cafe has plenty of seating capacity and the staff is diligent about keeping everything handy, so I don't foresee any problems. I'm fond of the coffee myself, so I'll get some coffee while we're there." Leona said to Ozwald. She was not exaggerating when she said that she liked the coffee. The Wizard Saint had to be careful when drinking it to avoid caffeine rushes; she had developed something of a tolerance to it, so she ran the risk of experiencing a caffeine rush if she drank more than four cups in one sitting. Therefore she would limit herself to three cups at most and space them out to reduce the risk.

Ozwald was enlightened more about guilds as he heard from the guild mistress her vague recollection of her time in another guild known as Fairy Tail. As he heard this, something about the guild was familiar. He could have sworn he heard that name before, but until he finishes what he needs to do in Silver Wolf, he will have to acquiesce second-hand information from Leona about guilds, though that is of no concern whatsoever as one of his brothers is actually in a guild. Well, two of them, perhaps? He recalls his artistic brother, Cinna, planning on joining a guild named Sabertooth though he has had no news from his brother as of late. Meanwhile one of his twin brothers, the prodigy Francois, is a member of the Rune Knights. He does not recall Rune Knights being a guild, and he might have confused the Rune Knights as just any other guild.

"That... sounds fun. I've never seen a duel between mages, and I've only seen my brother being challenged to a duel by his colleague through swords." He responds to Leona's tale of her time in Fairy Tail as a duelist. A busy man like himself wouldn't have time to watch the spectacle of a duel between two mages. That, or he tends to avoid mages whenever he ventures into ruins. His insight has gotten him this far as he would avoid confrontation at all cost, even though the mage in question is not hostile. His behavior may have been influenced by the death of his parents by the hands of a dark guild, and it was Francois and Michael that bears the biggest grudge against the Dark Guilds that they took it upon themselves to wipe them out. His memory of that time was foggy and was mostly preoccupied with books, most probably to cope with the tragedy.

He's delighted to know there will be coffee in the cafe. He forgot to take his coffee before he went to venture towards the guild, so this is a chance for him to take one. He can barely function without one, which is probably why he was struggling to get through the snow. He usually takes only one, which is enough for him to get through the day. Perhaps this time, he can take two to make up for yesterday? "Hmm... make that two cups of coffee for me." He says to Leona.

"Yeah, fighting bandits with swords is one thing, but pitting your magic against a guild mage with formal training is another thing entirely." Leona said to Ozwald. Leona did not remember too much else about the Fairy Festival, but she vividly remembered dueling Aven Alveron in front of a crowd and vividly recalled the pressure to prove to everyone that she was strong and skilled enough to do more than beat up bandits. She also recalled feeling pressured to prove that Silver Wolf was not just a flash in the pan, but a guild that was going to be around for a long time to come. By some miracle she had won a narrow victory over Aven after he had battered her from pillar to post all match long, but it was still a crucial win that Leona and Silver Wolf needed to get to validate their existence. After being exiled from Nebdoui, that was one of the tensest and most emotionally charged days of the Wizard Saint's life.

Adding to that tension was the fact that Aven was a skilled mage who had a very good grasp of offensive and defensive magic and an amazing sense of timing that let him attack at the best time for him and the worst time for Leona. He made her work for that win and Leona had never forgotten that. Aside from Sol of West Fiore Trading Company, Aven was one of only two guild mages to ever duel Leona and control the fight from the start. Then again, she had only ever dueled two guild mages to start with. Still, Aven had proven himself to be a formidable opponent and a good example of the strength that Fairy Tail possessed.

Leona had never dueled Mura Kensho, Nessa Cordelia Lux, Arcadia Fairchilde, or Althea Eventide, but all of them were tough customers who had almost as much experience as Leona herself and the power to go with it. Mura Kensho and Nessa Cordelia Lux were fellow Wizard Saints and Leona's equals in terms of power. That would make them even tougher dueling opponents than Aven, which was no mean feat. Leona turned her mind away from that subject and towards the subject of coffee, a subject that she was able to speak about with authority.

"Coffee keeps me going too, Ozwald. I drink it more often than I care to admit and I drink about an average of two cups a day, three at the most." Leona admitted part of her coffee consumption to him. Leona realized that she had been going on and on for minutes and talking about the cafe was not going to help Ozwald get anything to eat or drink. They actually needed to go to the cafe to get food and drink, a realization that prompted her to speak.

"I'm sorry if I've been going on and on Ozwald. I'm ready to go to the cafe whenever you are." Leona assured him. She hoped that he did not feel pressured by her remark because she meant to apologize for the delay and let him know that she was ready to move on whenever he was. Ozwald was a really polite guy for putting up with her constant talk for this long and she appreciated that.

Ozwald looked around to see the both of them were still in the main hall of the guild. He wasn't aware, perhaps the lack of caffeine has affected his perspective and allowed him to miss details, small or otherwise, time included. It was not until Leona spoke up about going to cafe when he realized the two of them have been there for awhile. He lets out a chuckle at the silliness of the situation. "I'm ready. Lead the way!" He says with a smile. The lack of coffee really is starting getting into him.

That aside, he can't wait to continue their prior conversation. He's waiting for the blonde haired woman to lead him to the cafe. At the same time, he can't help but admire the atmosphere in the guild hall. It almost felt like home to him. He snaps out of his nostalgia ere long, focusing his attention to the task at hand. Perhaps after this, he can roam around the guild to see what else the guild has in store?

Ozwald was a polite fellow for putting up with Leona's rambling for this long without speaking up. She appreciated his patience more than he could imagine. She was trying to build her people skills by actually talking to other people, but learning to talk to others did not mean monopolizing the floor. It meant letting them get a few words in so that there was an actual conversation.

"OK Ozwald, we'll go to the cafe now. Follow me!" Leona said to him, walking at a leisurely pace so that she did not leave him behind in the foyer. She did not want to leave the hapless mage behind because she wanted to make a good impression on a potential new member. She was also genuinely interested in what Ozwald had to say about the problem that had brought him to Silver Wolf's doorstep.

    -In the cafe-

"Here's the cafe, Ozwald." Leona said to the adventurer extraordinaire, sweeping her left arm to present the Silver Wolf cafe to him like a game show hostess presenting a prize to a contestant.

The cafe was a medium-sized cafe with a semicircular wooden counter for the cashier sitting near the entrance and a seating area that dominated the center of the space. The wooden tables were of average height and were circular with four chairs at each table. Golden chandeliers with lacrima lights protected by glass globes hung overhead for a slightly elegant touch to round out the look.

The kitchen was found through double doors to the left of the seating space and swung open with ease to permit safe passage for staff and anything they were carrying. Leona had never been inside the cafe's kitchen, but that was for the best. After the cooking contest with Samira and Ruvel near Haunted Castle it was best that the Wizard Saint not cook anything herself for fear of what she tried to cook coming to life and wreaking havoc in the guild hall.

"So, what do you think?" Leona asked Ozwald as a cafe employee arrived to take their order.

OOC: I have Ozwald's permission to move his character to the cafe.

Ozwald continued onward to the cafe with the guild master, Leona. He was appreciating the interior design of the guild hall on their way there as he can't help but admire the quality of work done to build the guild hall. Kudos to the builders who built it. As they entered the next room, she introduced it to be the guild cafe, and he appreciated the cafe's interior even more with the rustic interior design and, like the guild hall, it has a homey feel to it. He would feel comfortable just sitting around and enjoy a nice cup of coffee with croissants, which he is in desperate need with right now. "I may not have said it before, I'll say this right now - I'm loving the guild so far. It almost feels like home with how it looks on the inside." He says while admiring the view of the cafe. That much is true as he enjoys doing activities in a more rustic setting. He can't quite point out why, but he feels some sort of familiarity with rustic architecture.

It's as if he went through one in the past.

He wanted to check the time and brought out his golden pocket watch, only to find it broken as he opened the cover, revealing intricate golden numbers and hands protected by glass, which shows a small crack. It is clear that the extreme weather he endured has put the gears of his watch to a halt. "Oh, bullocks. This was my favorite watch." he says, sighing, "I'll repair it later."

"I'm glad you like the guild cafe, Ozwald. The guild staff did a great job decorating the cafe and adding other touches to make it feel like home." Leona praised the guild staff in front of Ozwald. Leona was not just showing off... the staff had put a lot of effort into the cafe and spared no expense in its design or decoration. The sales the cafe did showed that it was not wasted money... it was frequented by both guild members and quite a few visitors to the guild hall.

Leona watched Ozwald produce a golden pocket watch with cracked glass. She then heard him lament what happened to the portable timepiece that was his favorite watch and heard that he would repair it later. The statement hinted that Ozwald was a man with mechanical skill in addition to his abilities as a scholar, something that would make him a valuable addition to Silver Wolf should he choose to join.

"Silver Wolf is meant to be a collective of explorers from all around the world, so we try to make things like home as much as we can. Me, I'm from Desierto and I'm not exactly fond of cold climates, but it's warm enough in here that I hardly notice." Leona explained to Ozwald one of the guild's purposes. Among its leadership were two mages from Desierto and one from Pergrande; she had no idea where Mercury Arsenault was from, but Mercury's home was a technologically advanced place and had representation in Silver Wolf. The rank-and-file membership hailed from diverse regions as well, which was living proof of Silver Wolf's purpose as a collective of explorers that was not bound by a rigid hierarchy and an endless list of rules.

"Era represent, in my case. Though I'm part of nobility, I'm not accustomed to staying in one place for far too long. Mayhaps it could be my adventurous spirit that made me uneasy standing still. I've gotten in a bit of trouble myself for wandering too far." He says in response to Leona mentioning herself being part of Desierto. He did used to fidget about when he was a toddler and wandered too far off into forests and lakes whenever he and his siblings were taken someplace for family picnics. He was scolded alot for his naive wanderlust and lack of supervision from his older twin step siblings, Cinna and Zander, which they also got in trouble for. He did grow up to be a fine adventurer, using his prior experience as a wandering child to avoid whatever needs avoiding for someone who used to have no magic of his own.

He understood why she isn't very accustomed to cold climates as he assumed she was born in a warmer climate. He theorized that her place of birth affected how resistant she is to certain climate conditions. He, however, does not know why a guild master such as she would decide to establish a guild in somewhere cold, a place where the climate is not very ideal for her. He had assumed her to have founded the guild, but he could be mistaken. "If you're not very inclined to the bitter cold, why do you persist to stay the guild where it is located within this frigid weather? If you don't mind me asking." He didn't want to sound rude as he was curious as to why the guild mistress couldn't just up and move the guild someplace else. He says this while he sat down to the nearest table. His legs and feet haves been hurting from the long trek towards the guild. "And I hope you don't mind if I sit here. My legs are tired."

"Me, I'm from Desierto. I'm from a desert village and my family's a mixed bag of occupations. My mother's a scribe, my father's a traveling merchant, and my older brother's a blacksmith." Leona said to Ozwald, who was of nobility from Era. Along with a handful of other mages from three separate guilds, Leona had been to Era once before to keep an evil Santa from passing judgment on Earthland for real and perceived crimes during the "Winter Wonderhell" incident. She had not been to Era since the Rune Knights claimed it as their territory... even as a Wizard Saint she was not sure how the Rune Knights would handle someone in their territory who was not on Magic Council business. The best option was just to stay away from Era.

Leona heard Ozwald ask about why she stayed here if she did not like cold climates. She decided to answer that question because it was no shameful secret.

"I stay here partially because I'm the Guild Mistress of Silver Wolf and the guild needs me to be on call to handle administrative tasks. I also stay here because I've kinda grown to like it in the Phoenix Mountains. It's relatively peaceful and there's plenty of food, water, and other essentials at the guild hall. Unlike back home I don't have to worry about bandits attacking out of the dark or food and water running low." Leona answered honestly. She left out the part about her family issues because he did not need to know about that yet. She did not want to tell him about how her mother Sophia wanted Leona to return home, marry, and have children for the rest of her life because it was a subject that brought up a lot of negative emotions for the blonde and she did not want to drive Ozwald away with those emotions.
