Description:
Tranquility; Repose; Rest; For many, a fundamental misunderstanding of tranquility is formed from a belief that it is wasted time. For many, if life is not spent working for something, improving something, then it is time wasted. But for there to be rest, one need know toil; so it was in the time before time. Before Creation was formed, there was ________. To most mortals, ________ is incomprehensible. To most, ________ and Nothing are the same. But for Nothing to exist, Something must have existed or continues to exist to contextualize Nothing. But ________ was before time, before Creation, and from that age came the Absolute Divines.
Of the Absolute Divines, there exist ten. Once reality was made, they were equals; different from each other yet equally powerful. However, before Creation was made, there was one who stood before ________. Their name is not known to history, to any save the Divines and they do not speak that name. It was through their action that reality was created and given shape. This act, giving form to something within _______, took an unfathomable amount of power. In the wake of reality's birth, there was Amos, the Absolute Divine of Repose.
In the wake of the birth of reality, Amos saw it as His duty to spread tranquility throughout this new Creation. And so He looked upon reality and saw that it was formless; Creation existed, but it held no meaning, no purpose. And so Amos toiled, forging the stars in the night sky and the planets under their light. It was after His toils that Earthland came to be. He looked upon this new world and was pleased with the results of His efforts. Other Divines toiled and soon mortal life began to take root on Earthland.
These mortals spread, each passing on the gift of life to the next. And Amos was pleased. These mortals gave the Absolute Divines what they needed to keep reality together, to keep _______ at bay; their Belief, their Worship, their Dedication, their very Souls were a gift to repay a gift unbidden. The peace and rest they found in their lives amidst the struggles and tribulations, in particular, were as music to Amos' ears. Yet as time passed, the struggles and trials of mortals seemed to grow more numerous, more all-consuming. Their lives grew bleak and filled with all-consuming toil. It was more than Amos could bear to witness. He could not intervene directly in the affairs of mortals, but there was a solution; to guide and empower a mortal whose life creed was unknowingly written as a direct dedication to Amos.
And so this person was chosen as His vassal, to be empowered by a spark of His Absolute Divinity and to travel the world. This person would become known as Amos' Conciliator.
Abilities:
- The Price of Leisure: Rest is not done without a cost; the price of leisure is often the works and toils of days past. Yet the Conciliator is ordained to facilitate rest wherever they go.+100% Jewel rewards from jobs for the Conciliator. On jobs with other people, the Conciliator may elect to reduce their Jewel bonus by 25% to grant another person +25% to their Jewel rewards. This can reduce the Conciliator to a +0% bonus. No one person may benefit from this effect more than once.
- Bastion of Tranquility: Within the realm of Mount Seren'ii, the Absolute Divine of Repose rules from his chosen place, the Bastion of Tranquility. Here He enlightens those He chooses, showing them the myriad of ways their life would improve if they would give themselves the chance to rest.
The Conciliator gains five (5) normal spell slots for a single magic and two (2) additional signature spells that cap at S rank. All normal spells are subject to normal spell slot maximums and all spells are required to be graded as per normal spell rules. - Library of Repose: The dust left over from the works and toils of mortals is gathered in a grand mausoleum within the Bastion of Tranquility, as a place for their life works to rest so that their souls may finally enjoy repose in the afterlife. The Conciliator has access to this knowledge and, as such, is capable of expanding upon their abilities.
This grants the Conciliator with five (5) lineage advanced spell slots for a single magic (which follow an independent spell maximum from the regular one up to S and must be distributed according to regular advanced spell maximums, 2 B+, 2 A+, 1 S+) as well as one (1) advanced spell that increases in rank as the user does, ranking up to H+, to be used on a single magic. These spells have to be made and reviewed like any other spell and follow the same rules and guidelines. But this empowering, pushing a mortal past their limits, does not come without a price. That spark of Divinity burns so strongly, they count as both Divine and Mortal for purposes of damage calculations and take an increased 50% spell damage from all forms of God Slayer magic.
- Conciliator's Promise: The Conciliator, by design, must face a great many hardships to bring the promise of rest and serenity to Earthland. They cannot falter in this pursuit and must have an inexhaustible well to draw on for this task. The Conciliator enjoys an increase in their base Magic power, by +50%. However, the ceaseless nature of this task wears on the spirit. Any and all Healing effects that target the Conciliator, regardless of caster, have their base Healing reduced by 25%.
- The Eye of Serenity: Amos sees the toils of mortals, all the ways in which they struggle and are left without rest, and knows what they could do to make their burdens easier to bear. His knowledge and experience, imparted to His Conciliator, make the toils of the word easier to bear. The Conciliator's base Damage Resistance is increased by 50%. However, their base Spell and Technique Speed and Range are reduced by 25% each.
- The Bow of Amos: Marked by Amos, His chosen vassal bears a mark of His authority. Somewhere on the Conciliator's body is a tattoo of a sacred relic, the Bow of Amos; this marks them as His Conciliator. This grants them an active Requip slot beyond the normal limit.
