    Spoiler:
William never forgot the day he was born. Bits of memories from someone different but not having existed himself until that moment. It was scary and confusing. He appeared in a place that wasn't in any of those memories. One person was almost insistent that he should die, but a gentle voice was different. It felt like that person wanted to protect them. The scary person hadn't stopped being scary to the baby clam that day. He didn't understand why the gentle person was so gentle towards even the scary person, but the one year old new why at this point. His father is someone who forgives people for acting on blind fear. Why wasn't something the red head knew, but that made sense. No matter how smart the tot was, they were still young in age and understanding. Something they did understand is the desire for their father to be happy. They always seemed to run themselves ragged for business or loved ones, but not himself. The younger of the Omaras had thought they could make their father happy. Seeing Perry and his father in the office a week earlier had made the tiny individual realize there might be a type of happiness that kids couldn't give their parents. Besides that if their dad got together with Perry then he would have two parents right? Two dads? He wanted two parents. This was how he ended up looking through his fathers office, filling a few things out behind his parents back, and bribed an accomplice. The bribing was with sweets and treats the demon had earned them self by being cute around the right people. William was glad to have pretended to still be asleep in that office.

The elder Omaras had caught up to William being the culprit that had signed he man up for a romantic valentines day job, it wasn't exactly hard. The one year olds giggling wasn't exactly the best poker face, but at that point the doctor had already been signed up. There was no point in fighting against it now, no matter how embarrassed he may have felt about the whole thing. This was how he ended up standing outside of a chapel in rose garden. It seemed like the company had already hired guests to try things out in the 'wedding' as well. Even if this was just a temporary job marriage, it still left Harakas heart beating fast. He wasn't exactly waiting for a stranger though! Then again if it had been a stranger than he definitely would have canceled the job in the first place. There had to be a way to calm down. Deep breath, take a calming deep breath. That didn't work! Take another, that's right, let the cool feelings wash over. Now, he should probably have some talk with the tiny one year old now. This was a flashy area full of flashy people into celebrations and shopping. Dressing in uniform for once made him stand out. How weird was it to have dressing plainly be the reason why one stands out among a large amount of people? It was probably best not to think about it. In any case... "William, do you have something to say for what you did?" The tiny boys big eyes looked up before a smile graving their mouth. "I want two daddies." If there was a way to find himself upset at his son after being so adorable, he couldn't find it.

Why did he have to be so adorable and sweet? It was natures way of tricking you into forgiving them when kids broke rules or did wrong. The father leaned down towards the tiny little trouble maker before fondly petting them on the head. "Next time please let your daddy and Perry decide things like this, okay?" He didn't move from the semi crouched position until the one year old nodded their head. This was hopefully the last time his son did anything like this. It was adorable and sweet, but still not okay. They were only a year old and this wasn't anything harmful though so this was as close to a scolding as the boy was going to get from their father. With that over with, he stood back up then started straightening his back a bit. This was sort of like a job and a date combined wasn't it? It was certainly hard to remain level headed when thinking that way.

    Perry Bardell

Nova was slowly getting fed up with Perry constantly brooding in his room. He wanted to help him so bad, but he didn't know how. The only thing he could do was to listen to what he had to say every now and then and that's where his help stopped, for the most part. That was until he was approached by this little thing, a child. It was the child, William, whom he had met during one of the festivals. Soon enough it became clear as to why William had sought him out. The extraterrestrial creature was offered a bunch of sweets from the child, in exchange of delivering some papers to Perry. It didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary, except for the little tidbit the child had said - something about having two dads. Nova would have to concentrate a bit to read through the words on the papers, but he agreed to bring the papers to his friend.

"What is this?" The elf asked, as he took the papers from Nova. "I dunno. I'm just a messenger." The creature shrugged and then let out a short burp. All of the sweets were long gone. Perry narrowed his eyes at the Khigmax, before taking a proper look at what his friend had brought him. His expression transitioned from confusion, to shock. "Who gave you this?" His voice turned into a higher pitch in his disbelief. "William." Nova replied and tilted his head. "So what does it say?" Perry froze. William was Haraka's son. Why would he have Nova send him something like that? "It's... It's a confirmation of a sign up for a marriage try out event a company in Rose Garden is doing, to test out their wares and services. There's my and Haraka's names on it." The elf squeezed out of himself and Nova burst into mad laughter. "Oh that's great. You're not going to pussy out, are you, though?" The Khigmax asked, right after he got his laughter under control. Perry's face was beet red, both at the prospect of the event and Nova's reaction to it.

That was the story behind the reason why Perry was sitting in a train in his Company uniform. It was the first time he decided not to cast glamour on himself of his old self, keeping to his new, elven look. He had a pair of short boots, pants and coat with a long sleeved shirt underneath it. Everything was white, as per Company's policies. Next to him was Nova, sitting on his seat and taking a bit of a nap, as they approached their destination. Willow was hidden in Perry's coat's pocket, looking around the train, curiously. It didn't take long for the train to finish the last stretch of its route and stop in Rose Garden. Perry poked his friend to wake him up and they got off of the train shortly after.

The elf had to search for a map of the Rose Garden, to see where the place of the event was. Apparently the company had booked an actual chapel for the whole thing, which made Perry's heart race. He had to keep reminding himself that it was just to try out their services and nothing more. Once the path was acquired, Perry motioned for his friend to follow him. The city was as beautiful as ever. He never thought that he would be visiting it to visit a chapel, but there was a first time for everything. Rose Garden was decorated in reds and pinks and plentiful heart motifs. Love was supposed to be in the air, but Perry felt only nervousness. Almost the same nervousness he felt when he was going on his first date ever. He clenched his fists and sped up his pace.

As they approached the chapel, Perry could already make out Haraka, along with his son. The tiny culprit behind the whole situation. The young elf relaxed his hands. He didn't want to seem like he was angry with what happened. There were already some other people, which Perry guessed were most likely just extra people to make the wedding seem more genuine. Audience that the thief thought he could really do without at that moment, but there was nothing he could do. The elf and Khigmax neared their colleague and his child, only for them to overhear William saying that he would like 'two daddies'. Perry's face turned into a beet again and Nova chuckled. At least Haraka seemed to make sure that his son doesn't make decisions such as that one again. As Haraka straightened his back, the elf and Khigmax would give them a wave. "Hey Haraka, William." A greeting was easy, but he felt incredibly awkward afterwards. What was he supposed to say? "I.. I'm glad-" He was going to continue, but a lady coming out of the chapel interrupted him. "Greetings, greetings! My name is Lavinia and I will be your guide through this special day!" Lavinia introduced herself and gave the gathered people a small bow. "If our two main honoured guests, Haraka Omaras and Perry Bardell are here, then please follow me inside to have your outfits made with our very special tailor. The guests, if you would be so kind, head to the outfitting room to your left, where you will receive a few touch ups or accessories. Chop chop!" The lady giggled and clapped her hands, to get the people going and waited for the two guests of honour to present themselves. "Very well... Let's go, shall we?" Perry wanted to sound confident, but the nervousness was most likely too evident in his voice. "Alright, I'll see you on the flipside." Nova waved to his friend and would follow the guests who were headed to the other outfitting room.

Post by Haraka Omaras 17th February 2020, 5:43 am

The doctor turned to see the blushing elf, causing the death faes face to flush a bit in reaction. Oh no, how much had Perry heard? Or was it about the job itself? He wanted to hear what Perry was going to say next, but of course someone had to come out and interrupt. She was at least a good reminder why the two were there, even if he wished the woman had waited a few more moments before coming out. She spoke so sudden and fast! They were supposed to be dressed up so soon? But she didn't even let either of them respond yet! William let himself get ushered inside with the other 'guests' with a bit of a smile. Strangers were scary, but he was pretty sure his dad was having fun. That made the child happy enough to go along with everything. Haraka wasn't happy with how rushed everything was, but also wasn't the type to do anything he considered rude. Asking for a few seconds to hear what Perry had to say was what the Elder Omaras wanted to do, but he was pretty sure the staff there would see only rudeness in the holdup. This was how the vice president was quickly ushered towards a changing room with Perry.  In the room was a lacrima, as well as two tailors. What were they even testing here? Maybe things would slow down from here on out? At least enough for the mans heart to slow down a bit. That was what he was hoping for, but it wasn't what life was going to deliver. One of the tailors started speaking as the young looking man was pushed a bit more towards the tailors. The west fore trading company member gave up at this point in not being rushed before walking over to the one that wasn't talking. At least that woman was with the guests. How many staff members would be speaking in a rushed energetic tone?

"We are both your tailor mages! Using this lacrima we will create the outfits of your dreams, just touch the lacrima here and it will read it from your thoughts! We will fix any minor mistakes it makes." Wait, wait, mistakes? But with how rushed the tailor seemed and thinking on how sped up the woman had been before, they were probably expecting the mages to both just grab on and get fixed up. This was a job so it made sense, but didn't they know calm here? "Fast..." He muttered it out, but had a feeling from the look he got that taking too long wouldn't be taken kindly. The death fae tried to imagine something modern, though a very different image was fae stronger and clearer behind the forced thoughts. Perhaps this was how Haraka had ended up in the outfit that he did after touching the lacrima. It was still a wedding outfit and fully traditional, but a far cry from anything from current a modern culture. It was shocking yet moving. The tailor next to the elder Omaras looked a bit startled and confused until the fae had started crying. "Let me fix the measurements real quick so it fits perfect." It seemed he was used enough to reactions to know when the crying was a good thing when it came to wedding outfits. "Everything's moving so fast, I didn't think, I didn't expect... I never thought I would even see these materials again, or ever get to wear this. It even has a variant of the flower for eternal bonds... The colors a bit off, but it looks just right. The white pearls, soft woven metal, the heart glass, everything..."

There was no more frustration or upset in his system anymore.  Negative emotions just couldn't find any space in him right now. Everything had been gone, every bit of the culture that he couldn't preserve himself. The bare bone bits found in some books just wasn't the same, nor even the full bare bones. He didn't want to loose this outfit after the job. If he did, would he ever get the chance to wear it again? The uncertainty was more than enough to drive him to ask... "May I keep these even after this job? I..." How do you say in case you ever get married for real in front of the person you were going to pretend merry this day? The same person he had confessed to and still liked. Still, he had to, he had to! But it wasn't just that. He felt so touched and was still full of many tears. He wasn't supposed to get emotional at a fake wedding! This wasn't fair!

    [Going with Haraka's roll]

    Perry Bardell

Nova disappeared along with William into a preparation room for the guests and Perry with Haraka were led to their own room. Willow was still hidden in the elf's pocket, though. She wasn't sure whether she was supposed to be there, but decided to lay low for the time being. The two men entered their changing room. There were two tailors present, as well as a crystal, of sorts. One of the tailors explained that the crystal was a special tailoring lacrima, able to recreate an outfit depending on person's thoughts. Perry hadn't heard of a lacrima like that before and it sounded quite intriguing.

Haraka approached the crystal first and touched it after a brief moment of thinking. The young elf didn't know what he had imagined for an outfit, but... it looked beautiful. Haraka looked... beautiful. Perry simply stood there, stunned, unable to take his eyes off of his friend. He was very much surprised to see Haraka cry, when he saw the outfit on himself. The thief's heart squeezed in his chest, seeing his friend be so taken away by the clothes that the lacrima had created. The little fairy peeked her head out of the pocket. Upon seeing the situation, she felt quite embarrassed. As if she was intruding in on something she wasn't supposed to see. "Hey. I'll go find Nova, alright?" Willow whispered and flew out to find the Khigmax. The elf nodded in approval and took a mental note of the fairy's leave, as the other tailor started to fix some parts of Haraka's outfit.

The other man tried to explain why he was crying, ending with a question about keeping the clothes after the event was done. "To be honest, we have no idea right now. As far as we know, the outfit will disappear after a certain amount of time passes. But we can always try to recreate it for you to the best of our abilities, if you wish! Or you may book your wedding with us, when the right time comes to use the lacrima again!" The tailor replied and motioned for the thief to come forward. Perry absent-mindedly started at the tailor, until he realised what he was supposed to do. However, as he passed by Haraka, he had to speak up. "Haraka, um... You look beautiful." Perry managed to push the compliment out of himself, before he turned to the tailoring lacrima with red in his cheeks. He didn't give himself time to think about the outfit too much. The thief just thought 'fancy' and touched the lacrima.

Within a flash, his white Company outfit was replaced by a red and white outfit with golden trimmings. It was about as fancy as Perry had expected it to be and he was satisfied enough. Especially since the lacrima probably didn't have much to go on. He very much enjoyed the boots, as well as the length of the tail of his coat. The elf examined himself, noticing a few loose buttons, which the unoccupied tailor came to fix. "Thanks." The elf knew that it was the tailor's job to tinker with clothes, but he was grateful for the help, nonetheless. The tailor grinned in return and finished working on reattaching the golden buttons on Perry's coat.

The door to the changing room would then open, with an another staff member entering the scene. "Are our two lovebirds rea-" It was a young man, who lost himself in his sentence. Most likely because he just noticed that the lovebirds were two guys. "...dy?" He finished the sentence, unsure whether he made a mistake or if it was fine with calling the two main guests lovebirds. The thief would nod. "I'm ready. What about you?" Perry would turn to Haraka, still slightly red in his cheeks.

The outfit would vanish after the event. That made sense, they were here to test things for that company. Was it old and sentimental thinking to want to keep such items after a wedding? This may have been them doing a job and testing a product, but they were testing out the full product. This wasn't some cheap lower quality free sample, but the whole deal. It meant the only way to get an 'eternal flower' that lasted more than a few hours would be to get all the miasma in his homeland entirely cleared up. It was okay that the tailors couldn't do it, that the best they could do would be to attempt to re create it. If he relied on that then it would be akin to many other lost arts. Something lost could effect something as simple as fabric making. Even if you think you relearned old lost techniques, without every detail it's just a poor imitation that they're trying to make as authentic as possible. His homeland still existed, so the materials did as well. Did the devices and techniques still exist? That depended on what was left when the miasma is cleared up. There was a large area that should be filled to the brim with books on every detail on making different local materials, including the different versions of materials that could be used for different 'eternal flowers'. "Thank you, this is still amazing. At the least I have hope that it's possible now..." His voice had returned to its soft and quiet self, certainly much different and far more meek a voice than the death faes natural deep and silky one. Still, the tailors weren't Perry. The young looking male wasn't going to suddenly become more open with strangers just because he was with a certain elf.

It would be nice to make his own wedding uniform. The highest of nobility and royalty tended to make their eternal flowers small, sitting as part of a ring or hairpiece. The lower the rank had been, the larger the stone had to be, thus the larger the flower was. What mattered was that a loop was attached to the flower, that it would wrap your eternal spouse. The stone was made of a plant material that could be made hard multiple ways. The cheapest way also made the stone like material larger as a result, as well as less stable. More expensive materials made it smaller as well as more stable, though such things were certainly one of many ways people showed off their status in his homeland a long time ago. Even the sleeves on these clothing spoke of statues. The lowest in the old caste system would wear sleeves that went up to the finger tips but didn't cover them, but even then that was only on their wedding day or important occasions. On normal days the sleeves were of normal length. The longer or winder your sleeves were, the more it showed your rank. It meant you could afford to wear something like that without fearing that it would be tarnished. How could he ever explain to Perry that he was royalty that hated wealth? Someone who was in the same family of people so wealthy that a castle made of gold would have cost less than what remained below! Yet at the same time he had been raised in a clinic small enough that he and his mother shared the same room in order to make more space for patients. It was an almost dizzying difference.

It would be eventually, but not today. He needed something nice. Seeing Perry dress in such amazing finery? That was amazing. Part of the dragonfly wanted to wrap a clock with an eternal flower that wouldn't fade after a few hours. Maybe this was the rush of feeling love for the first time that could be pursued, or perhaps this was the effect of both of them being dressed for a wedding. He wanted to show Perry what he thought of that outfit in a way that worlds could never fully describe. "Actually, it being temporary means I get to do something." This was why the taller male walked closer to Perry, circling to in front of the man before the two could be ushered out towards the next piece of the event. He didn't notice the door was already open, or that guess could see inside the room now. If he had known, the elder Omaras certainly wouldn't have managed to muster such courage. With only a small amount of fiddling the cloak had been taken off. "For my homeland, flowers symbolize something pure and above people. Th petals would be metal or fabric, but the gemstone would always be primarily made using a specific herb. This was because it could be made into a gemstone that would be clear until you pressured your magic into it, then it would be colored by your essence. having an item wrapped around you that had someones eternal flower on it symbolized a relationship that would be bound for as long as the flower so lasted. It's only for a few hours, but I would still feel blessed if you wore this until it fades with the magic that made it.

I don't know anyone else can be so blessedly beautiful and elegant and yet still have a wildness akin to being kissed by fire and dancing with the wind, making for a heated wit and a speed enticing to chase after. I want to hear your every word and everything about you, bit by bit, day by day. You make an amazing groom."
Of course that was spoken in his true voice, so sounded deep and silky. He didn't kneel.. but then again who the heck would kneel for trying to put a cloak around someone? With all that said, face flushed, and heart racing, he put the cloak around the slender blond elf. "I'll be as patient as it takes to win your heart one day, because you already started to win mine."

    Perry Bardell

The door was open for the two lovebirds to go through to the main hall of the chapel and Perry felt ready enough to go forward with the event. Haraka seemed to be saddened by the fact that the clothes the tailoring lacrima created wouldn't last long, but that demeanour swiftly changed. The man came closer to the thief and stood in front of him to face him. The elf's eyes widened, unsure of what was happening. Some of the guests who were already gathered in the hall beyond were peeking into the changing room, trying to see what the hold up was.

The taller man took off the cloak he had upon his shoulders and explained the traditions of the land he came from. The way the vows seemed to work, wherever Haraka hailed from, were truly intriguing, making Perry wonder what other knowledge his friend had that he could learn. There was so much he didn't know about Haraka and vice versa. And Perry wanted to rectify it. However, what the other man had said and did afterwards, knocked the breath out of Perry's lungs. Haraka put the cloak around him and after having its importance explained moments prior, the elf realised just how important the gesture was. After hearing the way Haraka viewed Perry, there wasn't a single, tiniest spot on his face and ears that wasn't red as a beet. He wanted to say something in return, but there wasn't a word that he could form in his head.

Tears formed in the corners of Perry's eyes, but he swallowed them back, leaving only a bit of redness behind. A small voice in the back of his head whispered to pull the taller man in, to let him know for sure that he was not going to break his heart. But a greater voice, a voice of reason, told him that he wasn't quite ready for that leap, saying that he still needed a bit of time to be able to begin a new chapter in his life. A rather important chapter. The young elf would keep his gaze on the taller man, disregarding the little chuckles and gasps that could be heard from the guests over yonder. "I... I hope that one day I will live up to your expectations." Perry's expression would soften, as he pulled the cloak around him closer. "I really really hate to interrupt you, but..." The staff member would chime in, with a look of embarrassment on his face. He really didn't want to disturb the couple, but the event had to keep going.

"The hall is ready for a demonstration of the walk to the altar and bouquet throwing." It was an indirect way of telling them to proceed. The staff member would motion towards the door, where the guests had already gathered. Some of them were smiling, some of them were giggling and some of them were snickering. The elf would smile at Haraka. "Shall we go, then? Everybody's waiting for us." He would ask the taller man and extend his hand.

Post by Haraka Omaras 23rd February 2020, 3:33 am

Haraka smiled a bit, enjoying the color on the others face quite a bit. This wasn't a bad reaction in the slightest. The warm color was easy to see against that pale skin, looking akin to roses nestled near golden threads. It would be nice to capture those warm soft lips, but that would be breaking the mans own word. That wouldn't be giving them the needed space, would it? Of course not. "Your happiness is more important than any expectations." This was spoken with a bit more firmness in their silky deep voice. That was something ho wholly believed with every fiber. The fae wouldn't allow his love to become some freedom or identity thief, not when others had tried that very thing to himself so long ago. That wasn't romantic love back then, but in a sense that made it all that much more worse. But those times weren't even on his mind, merely a silent influence on current actions. It was also one of the influences that allowed him the strength to not lean in to capture some physical attention. There was certainly a strong want, but the need to respect the elves boundaries was above all else. That was something important to any healthy romantic relationship, one that could lift both individuals higher. But still, they were in the middle of a job. The staff were reminding, Perry himself doing the same soon after. That was true, he couldn't spend an unlimited amount of time standing there to bask in the other mans company. Even if it was a bit exciting to see the other pull the cloak closer, a bit like the elf was tucking himself within the doctors presence. That caused the heart of his to race just a small bit faster with sensations.

He took the extended hand, finally turning towards the door. It was only then that the dragonfly actually noticed the guests peeking in, his son included in the curious crowd. The one year old certainly looked happy with himself, but who can fault a child for that? At least the little clam kid wasn't still saying they 'wanted two daddies'. Admittedly, as a child they also lacked a filter. That meant the red head might just say it was what he wanted if someone asked. At least he was mostly certain people didn't loom around wedding events to stalk down underage kids. Feeling all sorts of embarrassed, the vice president still continued onward towards the very door that was crowded with people looking. He could hear his son saying to someone that the 'pretty green one was his daddy'. Who was being spoken to was a slight worrying concern, until the realization that they were just in the crowd being excited. The younger Omaras wasn't speaking to anyone in particular, safe and fine in the event. Perrys fingers were warm in his own cold grasp. It was a nice sensation, to be able to hold hands like this. Even if they were doing this in wedding clothes and in front of a horde of strangers whom had more than likely heard far more than the man would have liked. That didn't matter though, this job wasn't for the crowd. What was it for? Having fun, not refusing something after its tossed on his plate, and a mischievous child that attempted to get a second father. One of the staff members handed Haraka a bouquet.

It was a basic one full of roses and babies breath. This wasn't a favorite, but it had its own charm. "Get ready everyone that's single old enough to wed." The soft and gentle voice was back, but that was bound to happen. The two were in a far less intimate setting now, even if they were both feeling rather moved. The comment spoken was mostly to hint to William to not go after the flowers. Children liked flowers, but some single adults also liked the idea of being the next one to get married, a lot. He didn't want his tot to get hurt by excited women. Once he was in the main room with Perry, and all the single guests were ready, the death fae... tossed the flowers too hard? He thought he knew how to be gentle, but maybe not? Then again, he heard one of the staff muttering about an unfixed bug. "It's... nice to know the exploding bouquet and the chaos it brings has nothing to do with how I tossed it."

    Perry Bardell

Tears threatened to form in Perry's eyes again, as Haraka said that the elf's own happiness was more important than expectations. It made Perry doubt the moments in his past that he used to call happiness. The young man was glad when the taller one took his hand, both ready to proceed with the event. Haraka's hand was as cold as were his lips back then, at the festival. A strange memory that popped up every now and then and made Perry's heart beat just a bit faster. As they neared the door that led to the hall, Perry noticed some of the guests actively peeking in, Nova included, who was grinning. The group was engaged in chatter and the elf noticed even William piping up. He seemed to get what he wanted to achieve with Nova's bribery. Though if he had to be honest, Perry wasn't even that mad.

Haraka was handed a bouquet by a staff member, that was a mix of two kinds of flowers. Roses and some other, white little flowers, name of which was escaping Perry's mind. The two men then enacted a little walk through the main hall. All eyes in the room were glued to them. Once the walk was over, the taller man gave a warning to the singles who were of the age, before he tossed the bouquet behind himself. Perry observed its trajectory, until there was bouquet no more. Only sparkles and petals remained, as the bunch of flowers... poofed. There were whispers about a bug or something between staff members. The guests who were waiting for the bouquet to land among them were just as surprised as everybody else. Attendees exchanged looks of confusion, especially since Haraka told them to get ready. The taller man seemed to be glad that the mishap was not of his doing. "Still looks pretty, though." The elf smiled, as he would stand next to Haraka.

"Soooo, what's this all about?" A distorted voice surprised Perry in his mind. He immediately recognised it and he tried to see where Nova was. The young elf noticed the extraterrestrial creature among the guests, as well as Willow. Both of them were looking upwards, taken by the sparkles and petals slowly falling down. However, it was at that moment when Nova extended his head appendages and snatched a number of those petals to study them closer. "No, but seriously. What is this supposed to be? Is it even supposed to be like this? Everybody looks like they never saw anything like this before." Nova seemed to be both confused and irritated, making Perry wish he could communicate his thoughts back to his friend. The creature then shrugged and tossed the petals at the nearest guest. It happened to be a young lady, who seemed to have taken offence to the gesture. "Hey! Stop it!" She stood her ground, before taking a proper look at what was behind the sudden bunch of petals on her person. "What are you, anyway?" She would ask as she scrutinized the creature, who just shrugged again. He had no idea what the idea of tossing flowers around was. Haraka said something about singles, did that mean him aswell?

Perry would only shake his head at the witnessed Nova's actions. Willow then seemed to step in, most likely to calm down the lady and make sure that Nova doesn't act rude. "In hindsight, I most likely should have told Nova about the intricacies of weddings." The elf would say amusedly, hoping that his friend wouldn't get him into trouble. "What is next?" He would ask a nearby staff member, trying to see what else they were going to do. "Cake! The best part!" The lady would answer cheerily, as she waved to an another staff member, signalling that the next step of the event was up.

Cake and Lace Empty Re: Cake and Lace

Post by Haraka Omaras 27th February 2020, 2:40 am

How could a fake wedding done for work purposes feel so nice? There were emotions that the elder Omaras hadn't been expecting to feel, nor even fully understood. There was a lightness, something that he couldn't recall feeling before. Had it existed within him at some point before now? Maybe it was just far back enough that it couldn't be recalled. If the emotion could be described, it was like everything was going to be alright. It took a bit for him to recognize it as being at peace. Realizing this only gave him yet another reason to smile, like the moving expression on the blond elf by his side. The man that was still wearing the very hooded cloak with the eternal flower on it. Even if it was for a temporary amount of time, Perry was his. It seemed that some people were grasping at the petals at an attempt to put them together again to make the bouquet. Of course that was never going to happen. Flowers tended to not go back together after breaking apart. William looked towards the spectacle with wonder. Books and people never mentioned explosions and sparkles at weddings! The child didn't notice that it wasn't supposed to happen, only that it had. Then again nobody was really trying to get him to turn from the sparkles and petals either. That really was over far too soon. The tot went over towards Nova after the petal thing seemed to be done, petting the small being a bit while their large curious red eyes watched the two adults. Everything was going great to the clam demon. Maybe he would even get two daddies! At least things seemed to be going in the wanted direction, even if things weren't as simple as he thought before.

"You can tell him about it after the event at least." Even if it would be too late to get ready for the job and things happening in it. The information might still be useful for another time or day, that would be nice. There was no reason to regret the small thing to him, not while they could be having fun. Even if the man wasn't sure he would admit it out loud this very second, this had been turning out a lot nicer than expected. He didn't release the others hand from his grasp, even while the doctor walked over towards the foods. The centerpiece was very clear, the four tier white and gold wedding cake with shimmering sugar pearls and some flowers made of fondant. It looked simple for a wedding cake, but extravagant none the less. The use of fondant meant it wouldn't taste the best in some spots as it was a material better for look than taste, but that was alright. But once they got there he knew the grasp on the others hand had to be released. Why did he feel so reluctant? Perhaps the same reason it felt so nice to see Perry dressed for a wedding and in that cloak. "Where would you want an eternal flower wrapped around you, if you ever got one that didn't fade in a matter of hours... in the far future?" This was spoken half hushed, face flushed. It was an odd confidence boost just as it also messed with the faes own mind. He grabbed a small shimmering white plate, then the used a knife to cut a slice. This wasn't something he normally did, but one isn't testing products if they magic to avoid using items at the event meant for testing and use.

The knife cut fine, being wiped off with each cut to make it as perfect and beautiful as possible. It was placed down after that was completed, the cake server pushed perfectly under the piece , being moved onto the place without issue. It seemed that the top tier of the cake was two layers with a bit of cream and jam in between. The cakes flavor couldn't be guessed from appearance alone, but it could be guessed from the scent. Did he though? Not really, not at this time. There was something more important and fun than guessing a cakes flavor. The fairy took one of their hands before digging his fingers in it just enough to tear a chunk of cake out. This was the traditional way to feed the spouse the first bite, so there was no hesitation. Well maybe a little, but only because the vice president wasn't typically the hand in cake type of person. If he thought things would keep going smoothly, the elder Omaras was wrong. Just before the piece reached a certain elves mouth, a small force bumped into the tall mans legs. At least some of the cake got in, but much of it didn't. Wondering what had run into him was short lived, as looking down gave all the answers he needed to know. The sparkly eyed child didn't know what they were interrupting, only that everything looked so great. Everything was perfect! "You both look happy, but I wont push. I love you daddy, and cake." Was William expressing his love for their father, or wanting some of the giant cake? There was no way to get upset at such a happy and innocent face.

    Perry Bardell

The extraterrestrial creature received a pet from Haraka's child and the Khigmax would give the kid a thumbs up back, along with his signature grin. He reckoned that William got what he was after with the situation that was unfolding in front of them. And Nova himself couldn't say that he was opposed to it. Seeing Perry not being all gloom and doom in his room was a very welcome change. Now the trick was for them to keep it that way. The solution to that predicament was quite obvious, however.

Haraka noted that Perry could always tell Nova about weddings a bit later and he had to agree. He wasn't sure if the Khigmax would care for an explanation, but the elf would try. Through the whole procedure, the two men were holding hands and Perry didn't mind the strangely cold touch of his friend's hand. It brought him comfort, being so close. It put his mind at ease. A state of mind that he was desperately trying to achieve. Haraka started to head in the direction of the food and Perry went along with him. He was kind of excited to see what the company had prepared for them. From the distance, one could very clearly see a white and gold four tier cake in the middle. It looked quite pretty, even if it looked a bit basic. Even though the young elf was excited to see the food selection, he knew not to get his hopes too high up about the taste. Perhaps he would be pleasantly surprised.

The two men stopped in front of the food display. Haraka had let go of Perry's hand and even if the elf already missed the comfort, he knew why he did it. Before they dug into the cake, however, Haraka asked him in a hushed voice about the potential placement of the eternal flower he mentioned before. Perry's ears turned red again, as his fingers instinctively moved to the flower that bound the cloak sitting around his shoulders together. He was at a loss for words, for a moment. "I.. Perhaps on my neck as a necklace or an earring, instead of this feather." The elf would poke the little feather on his left ear. For whatever reason it came with his physical transformation. The question about the flower had left him wondering about the future.

Haraka then got to cutting the cake. The thief knew that his colleague was a very skilled cook and it showed in the way he cut the cake. Some of the guests cheered, as the main dessert was officially cut. A piece was then placed upon an already prepared plate. Perry was going to reach out for a fork, to steal a bit of the cake that was on his plate, but Haraka dug into the piece with his hand and tore off a chunk out of it. Perry's face went red once again, as Haraka's hand neared his mouth. The elf would take a small but shaky step forward and open his mouth. However, before the cake could be delivered, something interrupted Haraka's trajectory and only a small bit of the cake actually got into Perry's mouth. Some of it was smeared on his cheek and the rest of it was going to fall onto the floor, but Perry's thieving reflexes caught as much of it as he could save. With a little shrug he would eat the pieces that he caught, as he noticed the reason behind the mishap. It was William, standing next to his father, saying how happy they looked together.

And once again, Perry's face was filled with heat. He did feel happy when he was with Haraka. So why couldn't he bring himself to... to say it back? The voice he called reason kept stopping him. It kept saying that he had to come to terms with himself, before he could move on to possibly bigger things. Things that didn't only him, but others aswell. The elf would look to the side, as he wiped his cheek with his thumb and licked off the bits of the cake that he wiped up. Thankfully, there were plenty of napkins. With a shaky hand he would grab one and try to get the rest of the cake off of his face. In the meantime, since the cake was cut and a child already having disturbed the scene, the rest of the guests would seek to grab a piece of the cake or have some other food from the selection.

Cake and Lace Empty Re: Cake and Lace

Post by Haraka Omaras 25th March 2020, 1:31 am

There was a strange string of thoughts were triggered by Perrys comment. Around the neck would be like wrapping around the others very breath with his own essence. For a moment it felt like a warm and intimate location, until memories of long past flooded the mind. No, the neck wouldn't be right. It would be too much like a collar and that's not what any relationship would be like. The flesh had left the others face, despite not saying anything. The fear in his eyes were brief before the smile returned at the thought of the ear. It was an intimate place and didn't suggest having power over anyone. Suddenly it wasn't such a bad thought to have an eternal flower on a sensitive body part, it was certainly better than some others places. For some reason those thoughts didn't cause his heart to flush, nor face. Perhaps a bit too soon after the thoughts of his great aunt? Maybe he was just being too sensitive. It seemed she had a way of creeping up inside even after all the growing he has done. Everything felt so amazing and magical before too. It still felt special and at least these emotions didn't drive him into ripping their flesh open anymore. He was getting better, even if they fae was far from perfect. "An earring sounds perfect. Sorry about your face, would you like me to cut you a new piece of cake?" If they allowed him to anyway. He wasn't sure if he would be allowed to do so. There was more than enough cake for him to do it, but they had also technically just finished testing the cake. Their job was pretty much over. "If they don't let us, then I know a cafe nearby. It  sells some amazing cakes, including a strawberry one with fresh fruit and rosehips whipped cream."

It was pretty odd to think about. Soon the special clothes would vanish and life would go on like none of this ever happened. This wasn't something the mint haired man would forget though. Even if it wasn't a real wedding, it did at the least feel like a special date, or at the least something close to one. Maybe one day Perry would give an answer, but he could hold out until then. Right now it would be so nice to be able to hold the other. Maybe it was innocent to think of such a gesture as something deeply intimate and warming, thinking about doing it warmed their cold heart a bit. Everything would be okay, no matter what tomorrow brings. Even if it took a bit of energy to resist doing certain things, Haraka was certain that it would be well worth it in the end. Life was more rewarding as a whole if you strove and worked for the long run above short term pleasure, even if he didn't always resist the temptation. There was just one thing to settle though, his cake hungry child. Of course as much as he crushed on the elf, his son won every time. He wasn't sure if it was or wasn't okay to do so, but he put the partially eaten piece of cakes plate down briefly to cut a certain child a piece from the massive wedding cake. One plate, fork, and small piece of cake later, the elder Omaras handed the clam demon a slice. The excited child smiled before starting to eat. That was also a good reminder that unless a babysitter popped out of thin air? He wasn't going to be having any discussions alone with the other man anytime soon.

Perry was glad that his second idea with the earring was the preferred one by Haraka. Still, it would take some time until that would become reality. His hand would freeze on the thought. He didn't think of it in terms of if, but when. His cheeks would slightly redden, as he scrubbed away stray bits of cake off of his face. He shouldn't take the relationship for granted, no one knew what could happen. Haraka offered to cut Perry a new slice of the cake, but the thief would shake his head, as he felt his cheek for any remnants of the cake bits. "No, but thank you." He would softly smile, as Haraka continued with a suggestion for a café that sounded most lovely. "All right, folks! Take a few more bites of the food or take some with you and then please leave the venue!" A staff member would invade the scene, as Haraka served a piece of the previously cut slice of cake to William. There was audible grumbling from some of the guests, which probably prompted the staff girl to continue. "We apologise for the inconvenience, but we need to prepare the venue for the next couple's try-out wedding!" She would say in a cheery voice, earning a head shake from Nova. "I only just got here." The Khigmax would complain and stick his arm into the cake, taking out a large chunk, before devouring it in a single bite. The fairy and the thief were left speechless and quite horrified at the display.

The young elf would clear his throat to regain his composure, after witnessing his friend absolutely ravage an innocent wedding cake. "The café sounds like a nice idea. I'd love to go." Perry would hop on board of Haraka's suggestion, with a light red tint to his cheeks. Willow was mostly just hovering around, as she observed Nova licking his fingers in over exaggerated disgust. The elf would take a clean fork and poke a bit out of the cake and hold it out for the fairy. "Hey. Have a bite." He would urge her with a light smile, making her expression soften at the gesture. "I'll try." Willow would reply, knowing that the fork was a little bit big. She would manage to take a bite of the wedding cake and nod. "It's really sweet! Even more than some of our sweets!" She would say, making Perry wonder. "What do you actually eat?" The thief would pose a question to the fairy. Willow wanted to reply, but the staff members would start to round up people, so that they would free up the venue for clean up. "I think I will have to tell you later." She would look around the hall as the guests slowly trickled out.

A yet another staff member would come up to the unusual group. "Sorry to disturb you, but we would like to ask you to leave the venue.
