It was sweet hearing the herbalist speak of her work in such a passionate way but Cierra found it difficult to keep her attention focused on the conversation. The world of plants was not one that she was all that interested in but she at least looked as though she could understand what was being said. The mage had promised to return and had stuck to her pledge although she secretly hoped that there would be no need for gardening this time. She had her fill of that for the time being and even blasting the plants to nothing but limp weeds would not satiate her today. It had been a while since her last violent job and the Goddess was beginning to feel the thirst for chaos once more. She had to be satiated from time to time, not just for her sake but for Elysia's too.
A noise from outside the house caused Cierra's head to snap to her left and the herbalist stopped mid word but Cierra motioned for her to continue and so she duly did. The mage stood up and crept up to the window, her Slayer enhanced hearing just about making out something from the other side of the window. With a smile, she activated her magic and evaporated into what seemed like nothing, causing the herbalist to yelp in fright. In reality, she simply became molecules of blood, slipped through the gap in the open window and then re-emerged outside, resulting in her appearing behind a shadow like figure who had been spying all along.
His reaction time was excellent and he quickly spun on his heel and lashed out with a rapier, which caught Cierra on the cheek, causing her to bleed. The reaction was instant and the effect of blood always had the same effect on her, whether it be hers or someone else's. Her pupils dilated and a sickening smile crossed her face. He had made a mistake. As he attacked again, the mage dodged the blow and drove her knee into his stomach, causing him to recoil and leave himself open to one of Cierra newest abilities, it looked like just another punch but it contained a great deal of her magical power as well as her physical. "Elysia's Might," was its name and it certainly lived up to it here, catching the stalker hard in the side of the head, viciously snapping his head to the left due to the force of it. She then followed it up by surrounding her fists with blood and moving in to strike with a powerful left, right combination of punches, causing blood to spurt from his face too, enhancing Cierra's strength.
He managed to roll out of the way before she could continue her barrage and compose himself although he looked staggered already. He started to circle and then dashed forwards but his strike missed again as the Deity managed to turn her head in time, causing him to lose balance and leaving himself open to an uppercut that the mage swiftly delivered, knocking his head back and forcing him to stagger backwards. She then began to spin in a circle and caused a cyclone to erupt from beneath him, sending him up into the air, trapped in its grip. He was hers now and used the opportunity to combine that ability with another. As the cyclone ended, he started to fall, only to be scalded as Cierra unleashed a geyser of blood, which he was unable to do anything about.
He fell to the ground, bloody, burned and confused, unsure of where he was. All he could do was try and crawl away but Cierra was having none of it. She raised her hand and fired a net of blood, which captured him, immobilising him the moment it struck. He rolled around, trying to escape his bonds but to no avail. The mage was not yet finished and created a whip of blood, which she soon cracked across his back, resulting in him crying out in pain.
"Cierra! He's had enough," the herbalist barked, rushing to the mage's side, "He can provide us with...."
Cierra paid no heed and started to inhale, before unleashing a powerful stream of blood from her mouth which he was unable to dodge because of the net. The attack hit him with its full force and he rolled around no more. His life was over.
Walking over to the body, Cierra swiftly searched him and discovered an odd assortment of items, which she swiftly passed over to the herbalist, who was still shocked by what she had just witnessed. Nevertheless, she paid the mage what she was owed. Feeling that she was too involved now to back out, Cierra agreed to return once more if she was needed, an offer which the herbalist accepted, even if she was starting to have reservations.
With their business concluded once again, Cierra took to the trail once more, her Godly partner with her as always.
