Memories... For better of for worse. [Valentine's Event] Empty Memories... For better of for worse. [Valentine's Event]

Post by Sir Leonard 25th February 2020, 5:33 am

On a lovely afternoon, Leo found himself among the crowd for a small and equally lovely event appropriate for the month it was being held on. Yes, February is the month of love and its 14th day was the chief day for celebrating love and life. Which is why Leo agreed to take part in Mura, the current guild master of Fairy Tail and an old friend, in his request. That request being to accompany one of the new members of their little family around, and the guild master thought it would be a good idea to make them go together to Rose Garden where a seemingly wedding convention is taking place. Admittedly, Leo was hesitant at first because he did prefer to spend to keep things quiet and relatively silent, especially his existence which was becoming a more difficult endeavour for more and more people are beginning to know who he was, and it wasn’t through because he told them. Nevertheless, Mura presented some convincing and valid points which is why he agreed, admittedly, reluctantly at first. However, he could use this moment to spend time with Lina. Though it was at this moment that he thought that he should think of other ways to spend time with Lina aside from events such as these, it began to feel as if he has been failing as a parent recently prompting the old man to look down to the ground from his seat in an outdoor cafe that was put up for the special occasion. Lina saw this change of expression from her father and reached out to him to see if he was ok. He slowly lifted his head up to meet his daughter’s eyes who asked if he was alright. And upon seeing the face of his loved one, with the smile she had on her lips, and the innocence in her eyes, an expression of happiness Leo was suddenly feeling alright, it was as if Lina knew what was bothering him and immediately made him feel that everything was ok.

Happily, Leo sat up straight and placed his gentle hand on the small one’s head and nodded. Everything was ok now, and he could always find another time to take Lina somewhere soon for he had eyed a humble job back in the hall wherein he can take Lina with him for it.

Being brought back to the present reality, Leo looked at a brochure that was highlighting all the events and activities in this “convention” that was apparently spearheaded by a company that makes chocolates who are now trying to take things a step further by performing catering services and baking cakes. He was personally interested in the cakes they will be serving today in an attempt to further hone his own baking skills and take his locally-famous Leocakes to new heights. As he looked on, Lina was peeking from beside him and was trying to see what she would like to try and apparently, it was everything but was wise enough to keep her cute little hands away from doing a marriage ceremony, thanks to having bugged the souls, refugees, and helpers in their old mansion in the woods, especially the head butler Angelo. But with so many weddings happening around them, Lina couldn’t help but be curious what was his and her mother’s wedding like.

While that was a topic Leo would like to avoid memories and images couldn’t help but make their way back to his mind. Of a clearing, a wind breeze all around them, a woman in pure white, matching her white hair in front of him… It was happy, and painful at the same time. Letting out a sigh, Leo simply looked at his daughter and said, it was… windy. Confused, Lina tilted her head ever so slightly to one side before lifting it back up to ask more questions. Questions that will never be heard because Leo placed a finger to her lips and giggled, telling her we should go get their companion in order to get things started. So he got up his chair and approached his companion with whom they will be spending this day with today.

Post by Kumiko 27th March 2020, 7:23 am

It was a pretty special day for Fairy Tail's newest and almost cutest member. Kumiko would have been sent by Mura to participate in some kind of strange ceremony between people. She had wanted to really stay at the headquarters and spend the day napping in her room or bugging the receptionist again, but it seemed somewhat important given that the task was given to her by the guildmaster himself of all people. And so it was on this moderately normal and warm day that a small fox girl with her tail swaying with each energetic step would come across the fork in the road which the guidance of Mura helped her overcome with very little difficulty. Clutched in her hand was a brochure of the company's that had been sent en masse to just about anybody who might have had the slightest idea of housing space on a job board for their advertising. It was a company that had dealt with one of Kumiko's favorite snack, chocolate. They seemed to be more interested in branching out, and would be inviting folks of all sizes, ages, genders and any other kind of descriptor that would be used to identify a person.

COME ONE, COME ALL! WE'RE SEARCHING FOR ALL ABLE BODIED WIZARDS OR PEOPLE TO PARTAKE IN THE COMPANY'S NEWEST VENTURE! EXPERIENCE THE WEDDING YOU'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF, OR ATTENDING A FIVE STAR RESORT WITH A ONE STAR PRICE! GOURMET FOOD, DESIGNER DRESSES, AND A DANCE UNDER A STARLIT NIGHT! COME AND MAKE YOUR DREAMS OUR REALITY! FOR MONEY!

It was a pretty unique and rather interesting concept. Kumiko obviously was far too young to understand about what marriage was, but she could at least understand the concept of filling herself with the best chocolate cake made by (in her mind) the best people who made said chocolate. It was why she even agreed to take the job on in the first place. Of course, she probably wouldn't be married in the first place anyway. She still had to find her father with the help of the guild, after all!

Kumiko looked at the hastily drawn map given to her by Mura to check on her progress was at. If her hunch was correct, she was just near the site where the company would have hosted their event at. The small foxling trotted down the beaten path light on her feet like every other child save for the ears and tail. And we'll, that whole "accidentally ate a magical artifact" thing. Kumiko approached the entrance to the convention with rather curious eyes. There were some employees mulling about in Butler and maid uniforms, each housing a heart shaped pin that was visible on their breast pocket. Once noticed her approach and even greeted her with a pleasant and smooth now. One that was reciprocated with one of the child's own.

"Ah, welcome to our fine establishment! Your partners are just inside! Please hurry inside and meet them with all haste!"

Kumiko smiled and would increase her pace going inside. The sunlight shifted to plain and artificial light, powered by electricity and the soft him of the bulbs overhead which her cabin ears could just barely pick up. The change in scenery made her take pause to absorb all this new information at. Her tail flickered behind her out of instinct while taking a looksies of what she was dealing with. A lone man was just away from her, looking at the cakes that were so ceremoniously displayed. She didn't blame him, they looked incredibly tempting to take for herself though Mura had warned her against just taking something without paying for it with currency. Things worked so much stranger here than back in Midi. The wore his long, silver colored hair down with the tips just reaching about neck level. He wore a rugged and short beard that looked well kept around his unclenched jaw. In all honesty, Kumiko thought he would have been lifted straight from one of those books where people hunted monsters, gained fame, and received a doting princess for their efforts for the realm. Around his legs stood a child, a girl that Kumiko took interest in. It would be the first girl her age (or near it) that she would have come across since leaving her home for a few months now! She was eager to meet a possible new friend provided she was shy or put off on why there was another girl running around that was a yokai. She approached the pair with a beaming smile and an eager look on her face to get going and shovel as much chocolate into her mouth as it could manage.

"Ohaiyou!" she greeted both, raising an hand in the air as her ears twitched upon hearing some commotion in the kitchen nearby. "Are you two my partners? The Fairy Tail guildmaster sent me here on my first job! I'm Kumiko~" she placed a hand on her breast to introduce herself, puffing it out a bit to seem as though abd strong as this guy was. Of course, she couldn't match his rugged appearance or magic for that very matter, but that didn't mean she couldn't try! With that display of power established, Kumiko would move onto more pressing and urgent matters.

"Are they serving cake yet? Did I miss it? I hope I didn't miss it..."

After Leo had gotten up from their table, their companion arrived from opposite them their companion. The person in question was a young fox girl. An interesting creature, one that Lina was most excited to meet. From her greeting and finally outfit, he could tell that she was once a resident of Midi. In fact, he thinks she was born there after further inspection and was thankful for the years he spent roaming around Earthrealm.

She had begun greeting them in the traditional Midian way which Leo was able to understand. However, never the one to stand out or impress anyone simply greeted her back normally, paired up with a slow nod appearing like a small courteous bow. “Good morning to you too. I’m… Leo.” he said, taking that small pause to try and remind himself that no one should know who he is, a lot of people already do. Though he would argue with himself that people in this day and age wouldn’t exactly know who he is anymore, there are still people out there that are looking for him, watching him, and would use anything and anyone against him. He must stay hidden, so much so that he is consciously masking his own magic from everyone else.

Moving forward with their introductions, he swayed his hand toward his daughter to introduce her. “And this is my daughter, Lina.” he continued all the while Lina was hopping and wiggling in place, waiting for the perfect opportunity for her to spring into action and this was after that introduction.

Lina screamed and happily rushed forward to hug Kumiko, obviously excited to have met another around her age. Her circle of friends expanded from her friends at school, Arcadia, and now Kumiko, and Leo was fully aware of this way of thinking of his daughter, honestly not minding how they were interacting. He found it refreshing that Lina is making friends, especially at times like these.

After the energetic hug, Lina pulled away and held both her hands, cheerfully exclaiming how happy she was to have met her and calling her Kumi-chan the nickname the little fox girl will be stuck with for the time being. That is, until she grows up.

With the introductions out of the way, it appeared time for what the day was all about, having the honor of being Kumiko’s companion on her first job ever which she was evidently excited for as Leo can see, looking for the cakes they will taste today.

With a smile Leo said “You’re just in time for cake, Kumiko. Come, it’s this way.” pointing towards the general direction of where their cake was. “From what I gather, it’s a chocolate cake, topped and iced with cookies and cream and has a chocolate glaze and filling.” he continued, describing what their target was because Leo had something in mind, knowing this was her first mission in Fairy Tail. “I would be honored if you would lead us. Since we’re both… fairly new to Fairy Tail, and I’ve already led a job once.” he proposed all the while bending his knees to go down and pick Lina who has been rendered immovable and seemingly a vegetable after hearing her father describe the cake they were going to eat. “Besides, I’m going to have to carry Lina for a while since she’s still… day-dreaming.” he added as he was gently patting on Lina’s back.

Post by Kumiko 1st April 2020, 10:49 pm

Wow! Kumiko's partner sure was old! Was he really old? He did have white hair and a beard like one of those heroes in her fantasy books but looks could be deceiving! Mura and his friends did think that she was like over a thousand years old or something. His armor gave him the look of a well seasoned magic warrior that had seen his fair share of battle. Kumiko herself had some battle herself, if trying to swat a fly counted as such. She was woefully under prepared for any kind of fighting though she did have a pretty hand card up her sleeve. Nobody ever suspected the kid of launching attacks of her own.

The man introduced himself as Leo, as Kumiko placed a hand on her chest and offered the a man a respectful bow of the head. The child squirming around by his leg would be named Lina, which Kumiko immediately took a liking too. The way she was overflowing with energy reminded her of the other kids back at the shrine back home in Lower Midian. She felt the young girl's arms coil around her and squeeze as hard as they could. Of course, she wasn't constricted but Kumiko's tail twitched a little as the distant recollection of memories resurfaced in her mind. Sure everybody fought, but they were family. "It's nice to meet you too!~" she answered back with as much energy as Lina had. Had she met her match in how cute one could be? Probably! Lina ended the end and went on about how cool it would be that they'd be friends, even granting for the nickname of Kumi-chan. It was cute, though Leo might be able to tell that something was kind of festering in her head. She had that look in her eyes of somebody that was reminded of something that was long gone but still missed all the same.

"Totally! I bet you're the strongest mage in Fairy Tail, like your dad." Kumiko teased her, the golden colored tail behind her swaying to the left while shooting a knowing glance at Leo. She might be young but the kid certainly wasn't stupid. With introductions finished, her partner got the foxling back on track and reminded the two kids of the reason they came here for! Cake! Well, no. The whole event thing. But there was cake nearby! It was nice to see somebody sharing Kumiko's enormous sweet tooth, which made Lina mimic a statue with how infatuated with the idea of tasting the delectable morsel of confectionery goodness. The way was shown while he would give the child a rundown on what to expect from the cake. If there was ever a glazed over look on Kumiko's face, it was from the sheer amount of sugar she was about to consume. Her mouth watered just at the description of the cake. Boy, she was going to have a field day with this thing! But then Leo asked of her a rather strange request. One she had not been expecting any time soon.

"Me...Lead us?" Kumiko repeated. She had never really taken the reigns of any kind of a job like this. Happiness poured into her heart as she would stand proudly, puffing out her chest in front of Leo and the ever frozen in time Lina. "I can do that! Follow me and we'll get to glory in no time flat." Pause for dramatic effect. And leaving...

The girl lead the way down the hall and towards the banquet hall with the ever established cake. A majestic find it was, with as much stuff a growing about probably shouldn't ingest in more than one sitting. Kumiko's eyes widened in awe at the sight of this thing! She guided the three of them to the chair surrounded it with a few slices cut neatly into perfect little pieces for sharing. Of course, if there was anybody who deserved the first slice, it would be the ever excitable Lina! Kumiko had some experience with keeping the younger members of the family happy, which typically meant they get the first of everything. "Lina!" She called, picking up a plate and waiting for the child to come scurrying over towards her. The kitsune gently picked a bite sized piece from her plate and tore it away from the slice with her fork. The icing was smooth and looked even better cut like this. "Say ah!" she said, leaning forward to deliver the morsel of cake into the younger kid's mouth. The delivery hit its mark and soon, Lina would have the first taste of the cake all to herself. Kumiko sometimes help her get some, laughing at how utterly adorable the child was and taking much larger bites for herself on a separate plate. No need to steal them off of hers.

""Enjoying the cake?~" Kumi asked Leo after a while, completely full of her fill: two and a half slices. She likely could have downed more much but the sugar was just too much for her. Was there any ice cream? Soda? She could just get a sickness here and be done for the day. That mission did honestly keep her from getting too full. Once he answered, Kumiko gazed around the large gathering place for the next station or activity that would be required of them to partake in. Hopefully it wasn't more cake.

Post by Sir Leonard 3rd April 2020, 12:12 pm

It was such a delightful and peaceful sight to see the rapport between the two young children. Such a sight was rare in the Leo’s circle. Mostly due to the lack of children in said circle. But he would remember the old times. The times back in the day when everyone in the guild was relatively young and such faces filled the hall with cheer, stories, challenges, and above all, clamours for cake. Cake that he would provide. Truly times have changed, and he was ok with it, the age today shows promise as he would constantly tell himself for not only is it secured with the likes of Mura, Arcadia, and Nessa, Leo can also see it being secured in Lina and now Kumiko. He couldn’t tell what magic she wielded, but she shows much promise if her physiology is anything to go by. Leo may not know much about the fox people of Midi, but he has heard that they are gifted with potent magical powers from birth, that is only ever strengthened as they progress through life. Quite an interesting thought that he pondered as he looked onto the children who seem to be having fun, even teasing at how they are the strongest mages in Fairy Tail, and naturally in topics like this, Leo would feel uncomfortable. As if they are hinting on the fact that they know who he is, that he has a past that stretches out to the very beginning. Of course, he wouldn’t want to dwell on these thoughts for long, for who knows who might be peering into his mind. No, he wouldn’t like to take the chance for any unwanted people to know who he is, lest the people important to him get harmed, just to get to him. Which is why Leo has spent most of the time, making sure to mask and hide any that would link him to the Dragonbane name, even his thoughts and magic.

Which would lead the old swordsman to focus on the brighter side of things. That perhaps maybe Kumiko was only joking when she mentioned being the strongest in Fairy Tail because it would hardly be even true in this time, with the fact that many of Fairy Tail’s more esteemed members are famous wizard saints. No, this was only to incite conversation between the two, which Lina happily replied with a resounding and enthusiastic “No.” a reply that took even Leo off guard, awaiting what she had to say next. The young daughter actually followed her reply up with a heart-warming statement, saying that she would only want to be strong enough to help those in need, the little guys. A response that made Leo immensely proud.

Continuing on to the matter at hand, Leo was delighted to see the determination in Kumiko’s eyes and gestures in leading them today. It was refreshing to know that there are natural born leaders in these times, for he only saw and met a handful of people, all of which were interesting, inspiring and uplifting. Leaders. And on their way, there were numerous delectable desserts all lined up to be tested by various people, yet there, at the end of it all, stood the one assigned to them. The most glorious piece of cake he saw in the entire area, as he had the opportunity to pick it out himself because earlier while waiting for Kumiko to arrive, Leo was chatting up one of the event organizers, letting him know that he has one insightful palate when it came to cakes. He even had the time to bake him up a sample which impressed him. And with that display of skill, Leo was asked to sample one of their masterpieces.

Now in its presence, Leo sat down slowly, setting Lina at the seat next to him, putting her in the middle of him and Kumiko. The young one’s circumstances were not improved being this close to the source of her current condition, with the excitement of its consumption ever increasing with every moment that passed by.Lina’s trance like state would be broken however by the call of her new friend. She would quickly snap her head towards her and she would exclaim in excitement as a piece of the slice on a fork hovered in front of her, quickly gobbling it up at the call to say ah. But Lina wasn’t a simple eater, especially when it came to cake.As the daughter of a baker, she learned to savour every bit of the pastry in her mouth, chewing it slowly, getting every bit of flavour she can that all ended with a satisfied “Hhhhmmmm”. She was also quick enough to return the favour to Kumiko when she took a piece of the slice that was in front of her, telling her friend that it was her turn to ingest in some delicious cake, slowly offer it up to her, making sure she would get in her mouth, which she perfectly did.

Seeing the two young ones enjoy themselves placed the old man’s mind at ease. Allowing him the time and peace to partake on his own slice which came as advertised. It truly was a masterpiece. The flavours were blending perfectly with each other and the bread was soft, not too chewy as to get in the way of focusing on the flavours, but not too soft as it would lead the cake to break down and crumble at the slightest touch. The flavor was indeed strong, including its delicate aftertaste which he had washed down with wine he brought himself in a flask, obviously unable to share it with the young people. Although he was considerate enough to ask the people for a glass of water for the two children. When asked about how it was, Leo smiled and gently replied “It is perfect. The sweetness is just right as brought about by the chocolate and cream, not so much as it would make you sick. The fudge really holds it together along with the bread of the cake. I’d say it was as they advertised, a masterpiece.” After answering, he would pull out the same brochure from before and took a look at the other activites the convention had in store, even handing it out to Kumiko to let her take her pick as leader of their job.

To say Kumiko was surprised by Leo's daughter's answer to her compliment would be an understatement. Lina, the ever excitable toddler, would instead go on to inform her of not wanting to be the strongest in Fairy Tail, but enough that she could protect the people she loved. The answer perplexed the rather simplistic foxling, as she tilted her head to the side in thought. Wasn't that the point of becoming the strongest? To protect everybody that you wanted to without choosing? Leo seemed to be content with the answer, which was enough for Kumiko to think of it as acceptable as he had done. "That's good!~ We'll just have to get super strong together! Then none of our friends will ever get hurt." It was a more childish side of Kumiko, brought out by interacting with somebody younger than herself for a change. Her tail spun a mile a minute, a constant swirl of golden orange colors behind the miko uniform that she had been wearing. If it was any closer to the ground, the cleaning staff would have been able to finish their work just a few minutes earlier.

Back at the tables with the diabetes inducing cake, Kumiko was happy to see that Lina had expertly approved of the taste of the cake as much as her. The younger girl savored every last morsel of what was inside of her mouth as opposed to Kumiko, who had swallowed her down like a bottomless pit. She found herself a bit confused of why somebody would not just swallow a slice of cake whole, but decided not to ask in fear of coming off as somebody who had very little of how food worked. Mura did a good job of that already with magic and how life actually worked as opposed to the fantasy of what was the inside of the girl's mind. Lina wished to repay Kumiko for her kindness, which amounted to repaying the act in full, holding a fork up to the kitsune's mouth and motioning for her to open up. "Ahhhh" Kumiko felt the moist cake be placed down without too much trouble, who would then be recalled back and allow Kumiko to munch what was inside. She decided to mimic what her companions were doing and opted to savor the piece of cake given to her. It seemed like some kind of special technique that they had been doing, so that just meant she should do it too! The results were a bit mild, with Kumiko finding that she enjoyed the sweet and delectable taste better than just inhaling it whole. Looks like the both of them did have a few tricks up their sleeve! Kumiko swallowed after a short time and laughed with Lina. "Haha, thank you, Lina." After everybody finished, Leo gave his report about the cake. Kumiko listened attentively with a blank expression on her face. That was a lot of words that she wasn't expecting and felt her brain stop for a second after he did. She responded with a simple, "Yeah, me too." and collected the brochure that was handed to her.

"Next...Um, dress outfitting sounds fun. Better than dancing. Let's do that one. It's just past the hallway over there." Kumiko pointed at the direction in question and led Leo and Lina towards there. During the steady beat of her feet hitting the ground, she sometimes looked over her shoulder at Leo and Lina for a moment before returning her gaze back towards the the front of her and down the after-mentioned hallway. She wasn't too keen on what this feeling was inside of her chest, but it was starting to annoy her a bit. The fox ears on her head flattened briefly in annoyance before returning to their previous position. The door to the outfitting room was opened, as several employees would be awaiting the guests to arrive at first. "Welcome, our most esteemed guests. In here, we'll be practicing our newest magical addition to the company's ranks, and craft the perfect dress for you. Now please step forward and we can get started."

Kumiko was the first up, stepping forward in her usual clothing as the clothier would almost looked repulsed by the sight of her. "I can see why you came to us immediately." Kumiko smiled, still remembering the taste of the chocolate laden cake. "Yeah, the cake was awesome!", clearly misunderstanding what the man said. With a simple incantation, her clothing would vanish before her eyes, replaced by a pretty cute one piece dress in white, which went to her ankles and even have a hole for her tail! She was amazed by the work behind the craft...until she tried to breath and found it hard. The child coughed, wheezing while trying to open the dress up so that she could get some of that precious air. "Oh, is that too tight?" the man asked, helping Kumiko get the dress adjusted. The material touched her ankles and the fabric seemed to lengthen in all directions as the kitsune child was finally was able to be at ease from her prison of white fabric. Choking aside, Kumiko would model for the group of them, posing like in the ways that had been done in the magazines in the lobby of Fairy Tail at times. Normally with women in expensive looking clothing.

"How do I look? AM I as pretty as all those super rich girls yet?~"

A few more poses here and there before the child had her fill. She stepped to the side...and almost faceplanted onto the ground on the count of her new white heels. She had never really walked in anything close to them before, having grown used to the tabi that were normally planted on her feet. She pushed herself back up and would then looked at the two who were next up in line. "I can take you or your daughter first, sir." the man spoke, waiting patiently for his next client.

Memories... For better of for worse. [Valentine's Event] Empty Re: Memories... For better of for worse. [Valentine's Event]

Post by Sir Leonard 5th April 2020, 12:06 pm

The way Lina and Kumiko were bonding over the cake was such a sight to behold. It was something he had not seen in a long time and is having a hard time getting over such a fact, but he needs to make a move from it. Which is why it was probably best that he was asked how the cake was, but apparently, he failed to keep it calm and collected in that conversation as well. Directing all his attention and thought into the criticism of the cake, he mentioned a lot of words that, if he thought about it, might have been too much to a young lady, only ever being struck with that thought afterwards. It appears the old man is easily distracted by the sights, sounds and smells present in the atmosphere in the convention today. It was entirely different to the kind of things he had seen and felt in his previous life. He would apologize for the mouthful he had uttered to the young soul. Not only because he thought it was a bit much, but from the looks of Kumiko, as well as her reply, it was more or less confirmed.

Thankfully tho, it was time for another activity, perhaps it could be something to take Leo’s mind off of the cake or the sights for that matter, however, he really doesn’t want to spoil Lina or Kumiko’s day so he really is trying to make the most out of the situation he is in, possibly even beating himself up for even going to a wedding convention. The activity chosen by their ever cheerful and energetic leader was to try on new outfits in a different area from the cake eating part of the whole convention. A decision Leo happily agreed to, and when he asked his little offspring if she wanted to play dress up and try on new clothes. Lina then jumped for joy and happily said yes, assumingly loud enough for anyone near them to hear but did nothing as they either thought it was not their business, the big old guy behind the children looked scary, or because they knew he was a man of acquired taste and has his reasons for keeping children close. Either way, it felt like the entire convention was their playground and they can do anything, but if it came to that, their glorified chaperone would limit any damage these two might cause.

Kumiko stayed in front of them and led them with such confidence that was comically very delightful. Lina even said she wished she was as strong and confident in her abilities as Kumiko was. This conversation between the father-daughter duo would persist in this particular topic, even reaching the conclusion that Lina would like to be like Kumiko. However, along the way, Lina also commented at how beautiful the place was, decorated with all the beauty and splendor of a wedding. She even pointed out that people were getting married at what seems to be the main stage of the convention and that they all seem to be enjoying every moment. Leo giggled at his daughter, agreeing that they were indeed happy and that is basically what love can do. That it can transcend any situation, just so their pronouncement of love can ring true and loud. And though he giggled and preached about what a wedding basically is, more memories would flood into the swordsman’s mind. Memories of a time before that… proved to be painful as he would not want to dwell on it any longer for his own marriage, happy as it was, had a bitter ending. And thinking of that bitter ending was not distraction enough for the man to bump into someone unexpectedly. Leo was quick enough to say sorry which prompted the person, which was a white haired woman no less. The woman was just as stunned, much like Leo.

However, how much Leo was more stunned that she could possibly ever be. And though the lady was kind and gentle, she did remark to him to watch where he was going next time. “Yes, of course, Lady A- sorry. Miss.” he replied, stuttering at almost every word he uttered. It was a rather embarrassing affair that he had hoped not a lot of people had seen and after a quick look around, it didn’t seem to be the case. He didn’t see Kumiko tho, perhaps she was already too far off, or just not within Leo’ line of sight at that time. In any case, he wanted to leave the scenario all together and simply said “Excuse me.” hastily, grabbing Lina’s hand afterwards.

During their getaway, Lina asked if the woman was like her mom. The question, simple as it was, sent shivers down Leo’s spine and with a quick sigh simply replied with a quick “Yes.” before finding themselves near Kumiko again, just in time to see Kumiko in front of the tailor who to Leo’s perspective was a bit condescending and judgemental of people’s clothes which was rather annoying, fortunately, at an acceptable level.

And it didn’t take long for the magical tailor to make Kumiko a rather splendid piece of clothing, it made her look like one of the people getting married in Lina’s eyes, prompting her to ask her new friend “Beautiful! So! Who are you marrying, huh? HAHA!” After which, Kumiko would ask if she looked any of the rich women. “You already looked more beautiful than them without the dress, Kumiko.” Leo said, smiling at the end. Then it came to be their turn once Kumiko had stepped away from the tailor, allowing the two to step forward, with Lina taking charge, excited about what kind of outfit she would get.

What she got was a beautiful gown, with black and white color schemes running down vertically on the outfit. Lina was loving it when she first laid her eyes on it, and it was topped off with a matching cowl. Excitedly, she rushed off to the mirror to get a better look and upon further inspection thought that it was close to looking like a nun’s outfit. The tailor was surprised to see that even he wasn’t able to see it. Apologizing, the tailor offered to adjust the outfit to Lina’s liking, and said that she would like to have the black colors and cowl removed. With that request, Lina’s nun looking outfit, turned into a beautiful bridal gown looking outfit which she loved very much, so much so that she rushed to Kumiko to tell her all about it. And with the children supposedly chatting over their new clothes, Leo took this time to step forward and have his turn which the tailor wasn’t very enthusiastic about, given that he’s basically wearing old rags that don’t really smell like a field of flowers. But the tailor chose not to say anything, perhaps feeling that Leo was not a person you should be… commenting about. Instead, he simply got to work with making Leo an outfit.

What the tailor got him was a simple suit and slack combination, topped off with a cape and hood, as if the tailor knew Leo was trying to hide his face as much as he could. It had a regal look to it that, with its white coloration, made it look like he is about to be married. So much so that he would remember once again his own wedding once more all those years ago, in front of the altar with a lady all in white, and he was the same. He quickly asked for the colors to be changed to black, similar to what an executive would be wearing. Quickly, Leo’s request was fulfilled, and gave the tailor an approving smile and thumbs up after walking towards the two ladies asking them “So. How do I look?” Lina would giggle and say that her dad looks stunningly handsome, like he was a different person altogether and that the tailor was considerate in giving Leo something to cover his face. After that, she would ask for Kumiko’s opinion.

Post by Kumiko 7th April 2020, 12:08 am

Aw, her little helper was so helpful! Lina went and said that Kumiko was beautiful enough to be the bride to be, waiting for her groom at the altar to end up as a wonderful couple forever more. Of course, it wouldn't become a reality for quite some time, especially in a kitsune child's case. She knew that she likely wouldn't even be considered mature for at least a good hundred years or so. She laughed alongside Lina again, the tail swinging around while the child would pose for her smaller friend. The kitsune made a few poses to mock how she had seen some of the models on the runway would take. She didn't know exactly why but she thought it seemed like they held a certain kind of power against people! That's why a bunch of guys always bought magazines and books with women on the cover, right? "Thank you! This dress feels perfect! Even the tail hole's just right for me~" she said eagerly. Not many people had a great deal of knowledge on how to create a separate hole for people who needed accommodations for limbs floating around in the back of their body. It wouldn't get any easier considering the mount of tails that her race tended to grow over the course of their life time.

After her bit of fun was had, it was time for Kumiko to play the part of a spectator as Lina and her white haired father would be next in line respectively. She sat down in a chair and spun around while facing the opposite side, her young eyes trained on whoever was the first up. Lina had volunteered herself to be just that, watching as the well dressed employee whom had just gotten finished with the excitable kitsune would look down at the small bundle of happiness that come alongside  her grizzled father. Kumiko watched in excitement, her ears bouncing along her head in a steady, unheard rhythm. The swirls of color would surround Lina and...bam! Her outfit was complete! Or as close as it could be. For one, this did not look like any type of bridal gown that Kumiko had come across i her limited amount of wedding knowledge. Lina and Leo seemed to share the same sort of hesitation on calling it an end of her refitting then, as Kumiko chimed in with, "That doesn't look like a dress for a wedding..." Of course it could have and she received a dirty look but it was not like it was called for or anything. The man apologized and corrected the spell with another swing. This time, the correct dress design materialized and it looked much more fitting for a girl of Lina's caliber. She rushed to a mirror to check herself out before making a B line for Kumiko. The foxling cheerfully jumped down from her seat and entertain the younger child and keep her nice and happy. "Wow, you look so pretty, Lina. Much better than me, for sure!~" Leo would make his way towards them after a short time, the child looking up alongside Lina as she would be pretty surprised with how well he turned out! Not that he was ugly or anything, but tuxedos and suits seemed so...not really creative as one could get with a dress. She gave the man a thumbs up, offering a wide smile.

"You look awesome. Almost like you're the one getting married, huh?"

After that, the trio were thanked for their service as the employee with them would bow his head in thanks. "That should do it for you three. When you're ready to change back into your clothes to leave, come back and I'll get you all settled in. We hope you enjoy the rest of the facility." Kumiko led them out in her stunning new dress and would swing back around to face Leo and Lina, brochure in her awaiting hands. "So now that we're all dressed, let's do the flower toss thingy!" she said, holding the paper to them and pointing at the term "bouquet toss". Her feet carried her back towards the main staging area where the mock wedding was said to be held. On the stage near the makeshift altar would be two more employees, one dressed like a bride while wearing the pin of the company as another appeared to be her helper, who came dressed in the standard uniform. The "bride" spotted them approaching from afar and waved to the helper to get back into the service oriented mode that many of the company likely had drilled into their head now.

"Welcome! In our final event, we'll be testing our experimental spell involving illusion magic. Of course, I'll be your bride this evening..." The other woman took over, hurrying over to a table on the side which housed several bouquets in a large vase of a rainbow color. She returned by her partner's side and motioned to the flowers in her hand. "We've been working on this new formula which acts as a replicating agent for whatever it touches and dries. It's actually quite fascinating, really. We started by-" A hand covered her mouth by the bride, who shot her a knowing look of when it was best to remain quiet and so she did, handing over the bouquet without so much as an apology. "Alright, fall in behind me and we can begin. I won't throw hard, so do and try to actually catch it."

Kumiko and the gang would take a few steps back, getting in place nearby one another while the helper would call them out and give directions, adjusting locations and feet before the angle was just perfect. "Alright. Here we go." The bridge chirped, taking the flowers held in her hand and casually tossing them over her shoulders. The flora, now aerial, hung there for the briefest of moments before a dazzling mirage of lights would shower upon the recipients in front of it. In a matter of moments, the single bouquet would become three, and fall down arranged for the three below. Kumiko did not have much trouble collecting hers. She hopped up and grabbed hers while still in the air and then landed on two feet...before then proceeding to stumble off balance yet again. Fortunately this time, she regain it and catch herself from falling on top of her face for a second time. "Gotcha!" she exclaimed, looking at Leo and Lina to check up and how they had fared trying to catch theirs.

"Seems like everything went according to plan. I'd say this is a successful test, eh?" the bride winked. The helper would collect the copies of the bouquets from them and place the back into the large vase from before, clearly meant to hold more than what they had seen it first come from. "That should about do it for all we wanted to test. Thank you again for your assistance. We'll be sending you a nice gift in the mail to your guild office...plus, maybe a nice treat for your daughter." The helper smiled at Leopold, pushing her glasses up her freckled face. "Thank you for your help again!"

Post by Sir Leonard 7th April 2020, 6:37 am

The three all looked dashing, even more so when they all stood side by side. Kumiko even commented that he might be the one getting married. He giggled at the thought a bit, trying to be nice and all, since he didn’t really like the thought of marriage due to him being married himself and still is being hung up about it, owing to the distasteful past he has had before. But recently, he can see that less and less people care about who he is; perhaps it would be time to move on. With that thought came a slight comforting breeze out of nowhere, as if confirming what he had on his mind. Yet, he was the one afraid to let go, there was still regret in his heart that he can’t seem to bear simply moving on. “I don’t think I’ll even get married again.” said the melancholic old man, before they moved on to the bouquet toss, surprisingly not dampening Lina’s spirit; appearing to understand why her father was like that. Lina had heard a few stories about her mother before, and could tell that Leo loved her very much.

They had arrived on the next area of activity, which was near the main stage. Here, they were going to test a new spell which was pretty exciting. The people on stage were explaining more than they should, as observed by the quick disruption of the woman’s speech. There were a lot of people gathered around them in the area as well, probably due to the nature of the new spell they are about to showcase. Prompting Leo to pick Lina up and carry her over his shoulders. And without further ado, the people on stage demonstrated their new spell by throwing a bouquet, as was the name of the activity.

There was only one that was intended to be caught by the three of them. A problem he was mulling over how to solve, he was actually playing with black magic swirls on his hand, ready requip a sword to slice it in three equal parts. There was however, no need for it because the bouquet split itself into three like some sort of multiplying cell/. It was impressive to say the least, it’s not like he hadn’t seen his fair share of people cloning themselves in the past anyways.

With Lina being set up high, she was able to catch hers, and Leo simply reached out for his. This marked the end of their job, which Kumiko has led very efficiently in Leo’s opinion. Although, he might be jumping to conclusions and so he asked Kumiko if there would be anything else they would be doing.
