Post by Gaia 17th December 2019, 12:44 am

    The Divine Mage
Gaia takes a deep breath. In her hand was a letter that found its way to her. Her parents had found out where she lived and requested to meet her. She knew it would have been a matter of time. Olga had been publishing more magazines with her in them as her model for her outfits, and the Sorcerer's Magazine also was publishing little bits about her every now and then too. And now she was working at Dagger Corp as a Library Manager on top of being the ace of Sabertooth. Now she was married, and just had her twin boys and being contacted by her own parents. Realizing all of what has happened, Gaia had been reminded about how much was on her plate now and questioned herself about how she was able to handle this. They mentioned about her kid, and she squints. She never told them, and she refused to be a model while pregnant to minimize it being public too.

Reluctantly, Gaia gathers her family and makes their way over to the Sabin Fioren Vacation House her father had bought ages ago. Gaia had honestly forgotten about the house as they never visited it when she was growing up. Well, not as a family at least. She knew Kyran was reluctant to go, but she wanted closure. The curiosity that it only took her family now to reach out to her and find her. What exactly they all had to say to her…? She was feeling sick to her stomach thinking of it. She hugged Bel to her and takes a deep breath. The bespeckled mage had dragged her husband on a carriage with her to go to the house, or she at least guessed it would be a villa more for normal people, to meet her family officially as a married couple.

They pulled up in front of the massive home, and she starts to exit the carriage. A worker around the villa had spotted them pulling up and instantly calling for a butler to go and assist them. Gaia was wearing a white off the shoulder sundress that Olga had made her and held Bel in one of his custom onesies that she also made. Ducarius was in a matching one. Gaia’s hair was a little longer than before, as she was growing her hair out for once. Originally she cut it to not be mistaken for her mother, but now she felt a great deal confident in herself that she didn’t look like her, may it be in how she carried herself, or in the fact that she made a name for herself in fashion. It was just going to feel weird now that she was going to at least see her family looking like this. She glanced over to her husband for a moment before she hears a loud grating voice. “Gaia~!” Her mother had called out all to happily. “How is my beautiful daughter?!” Instantly, a frown was on her face before she looked back at her mother.

She was suppressing her magic abilities at current. Wanting to see how they would react to thinking she was still magicless. Her cards were in her pocketbook though. She forced a smile, and grins to the woman who looked like a decently older version of Gaia. “Hello… Mother…” She almost wasn’t able to get out the word ‘mother’ from the back of her throat. Maybe this was a bad idea to accept coming here… “Come inside! Tea just got finished being made!” Her mother saw the baby in Gaia’s arms and had her eyes locked lovingly on the child. Gaia held Bel closer to her and hesitantly nods to her mother before they start going inside the villa.

Once inside Gaia wouldn’t let go of her son. Refusing anyone besides Kyran from touching either of her boys. She seemed to stand a little straighter and had a bit more of a ‘purposed’ walk. She was naturally falling into line of her teachings when growing up, but her refusing others touching her children were her doing now. She saw her father coming down the stairs adjusting his suit while he was talking on his iLac. Gaia wasn’t going to give any of them her iLac number. Kyran could be the only one to have it, and people whom she actually trusted. “Ah! Gaia! You’ve made it!” Her father calls down to her, ignoring his call for a moment. “How’s life been treating you in Fiore? Well I hope!” “Especially since you’re a fashion model and a Rising Star? Who knew my young and beautiful daughter could become so talented by just running away from home?!” Her mother smiles ever so sweetly to Gaia, and she just returned a confused glare at her. They were sick, right? This was a prank? Gaia seemed to refuse to speak now. Honestly, she was actually speechless because of how cheery sounding they were to her right then.

Dearest Family Empty Re: Dearest Family

Post by Kyran 18th December 2019, 7:46 pm

Kyran wasn't happy about the sudden turn of events. Their boys had just been born. Both were being watched carefully to prevent any mishaps. He'd finally begun to calm down, enjoy being a father. Bel was bonding better with his mother. Ducarius, on the other hand, seemed calmer with his dad. Kyran was content. As much as he could be when Bel woke them up at all hours of the night. Then Gaia came up to him with a letter. A letter from her family asking for her to visit. Kyran hadn't mentioned his encounter with her family yet. It had been a business thing. He wanted to be sure he could share the information with his wife without getting their family in trouble. Now, it seemed he'd be in a different world of trouble.

When they went to her parent's villa, Kyran opted to wear what he usually did around Tolgalen - black dress shirt, red tie, white vest, white slacks. His eyes kept wandering to Gaia. It made Ducarius jealous. The tyke was wiggling about. "Yes, I know you want my attention. Mommy deserves my attention too!" The blood mage finally cooed to his son. Their kids being here could be a blessing in disguise. It would be harder to start something should Gaia's parents be as bad as they were last time. Gaia's mother startled Kyran from his fuzzy mood. Instinctively, the blood mage stepped behind his wife. Not that she could hide him. Rather the hope was her mother's attention would stay on her daughter.

The pleasant interaction with Gaia's mother helped ease some of Kyran's anxiety. A cold statue kept popping up in his mind. It happened to be the woman he'd met in Bellum. This happy woman couldn't possibly be the same one. Ducarius gurgled in his arms. Could you keep that baby quiet? The little monster is giving me a headache. Malinda complained loudly. Kyran barely contained his wince. There happened to be one other problem with this visit. His demons were acting up again. The blood mage rubbed his eye, hoping it hadn't changed. Then he followed Gaia and her mother into the house.

The appearance of Gaia's father broke Kyran's control. That pompous ass had been one root of his problems in Bellum. Luck kept their side though. While Kyran might have lost control, he wouldn't attack. His children were a lifeline of support. Ahriman and Erebus rushed forward at his weakness. Each managed to pull partial control. Kyran's magic began to erupt in an aura of red violence. Erebus had him step out from behind Gaia. His mouth opened to speak. "Hello there, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law. I am so pleased to be seeing you again. Please, Vesa and Adsila here? I'm sure they didn't learn their lesson last time. I'd be happy to teach it to them again." The mischevious demon added a smirk at the end.

Ducarius began crying. Kyran struggled to regain control. Both of the twins hated when the demons were in control. It was like they knew their daddy was missing, even if his body held them. The slayer let out a small pulse of magic within his own body. The demons hissed, retreating back into his mind. Kyran slumped, hugging Ducarious close. "Hey now, little man. Don't cry. Daddy's got you." He hunched over the baby. Everything was focused on calming the child down.

Dearest Family Empty Re: Dearest Family

Post by Lehanna Seraph 19th December 2019, 11:59 am

It has been quite a while since she has stopped off at home and frankly it felt a little overdue. Not that anything could have gone wrong in her absence, but she had been a little busy with her own things lately that this just seemed to be a little more of a vacation than anything. She was enjoying herself, her sisters company, and overall everything. The fear of her magic wasn’t nearly as high anymore, it was more of a subtle thought of using it would turn against her. Probably a standard thought among some summoners maybe? It was hard to really explain the idea, but not having just monstrosities for summons made communications much easier in the long run.

There was no expectation of what was to actually come when she got into the house. She was expecting the usual; come home, find it empty and devoid of life like usual, lounge around on a couch, maybe use the jacuzzi and then go to sleep after a movie or two. Cersei had come to give up when it came to the idea of being around her father anymore. It had been at least a year since she last saw him in person, several since she’d been to Bellum to watch his shows. After the years of demotivation of not living up to his expectations, she gave up trying with him and just moved on to do her own thing. What led to bad decisions only furthered her down a path that came with as many ups as it had downs.

The pink haired summoner paused on the outside of the estate. Did she pick a bad time to come? She could tell there were people inside, but there was no telling how many were there. The sounds of laughter and joy were a little lack luster to her. Missing out on some fun? It was unlike her, but still, she walked forward to the door and unlocked the locked door with her key. Once she was inside, she adjusted the sword on her back and walked further inside until she had paused seeing the menagerie of people looking at her in a new dead silence. ”Uh..” She was at a loss for words, her eyes surveying around until she laid eyes on her father. ”I didn’t know you were having guests over, daddy. I wouldn’t have come.” Giving a rather innocent smile, thinking nothing of this being some others that he invited over for maybe some kind of party or something of the sort, she hadn’t noticed the faces of every other person in the room after hearing the girl addressing him as such. ”Is... Is something wrong? Is it the sword? My hair? Clothes? You’re a little pale, daddy.” The smile on her face settled out seeing how his worsened as such.

Dearest Family Empty Re: Dearest Family

Post by Gaia 2nd February 2020, 9:58 pm

    The Divine Mage
In the carriage, Gaia had given her husband and other son a sweet smile as Ducarius was being a little wiggle bug about daddy not paying attention to him. If anything could help her after this trip, it would be her children and husband. All the jewels in the world couldn’t buy her happiness like time spent with the three boys in her life. The little carriage was a safe haven before she were to step out of it.

Once everyone was inside, and Kyran broke at her father, her eyes glared absolute daggers at her husband for the demon breaking loose. Of course both the boys were now crying at their father because he suddenly went into one of the demons. She pulled Bel up a bit higher and hugged him to her shoulder as she lightly bounced him while rubbing his back and swaying from side to side. Her mother was attempting to take Bel from her, but Gaia took a gentle step back as her baby was calming down already on her. No way was she letting this woman touch her baby with her filthy hands. Gaia looked over to Kyran again, honestly wondering how he knew her brother and sister.

While the Tarot mage was curious, her father ended the call he was on and hung up, stuffing his iLac back in his pocket before fixing the top of his coat and lightly glaring at Kyran. “They’re in their rooms sleeping. They won’t be coming down for now. Maybe in a bit, though.” He says as he looks over to his daughter. He was still expecting an answer from her. Gaia was fighting a lump in her throat to even speak. She couldn’t do this… It was a bad idea. She wanted home. Her fears and anxieties were taken over her when the door opened. Her burnt sienna eyes traveled back towards the door to see exactly who entered the building.

Of all the people in the room, Gaia’s father’s face paled at the sight of the girl. Her mother’s face was red as she looked over at her husband. “Daddy?!” She practically shrieked at him. Gaia quickly passed Bel onto Kyran and walked up to the girl. Gaia simply ignored her mother’s now angry voice going on a tirade about how unfaithful her father was, even going to the point to be using his full name in front of everyone and grilling him about how long he was going to keep a ‘skanks’ daughter hidden from her.

“Hi,” Gaia said with a soft smile to the girl. She had gotten over the lump in her throat. “Ignore the woman, she’s not important, nor is the man really. You called him ‘daddy’ though, right? Is he really your father?” She asked curiously. She had slightly looked up and down the girl to see her style, but a smile grew on her lips. “Not going to lie, you look rather cute. I hope you’re not living here all on your own, are you? My father wouldn’t be so irresponsible as to leave someone who looks like they’re barely out of school to live here, right?” Her eyes glared back towards her parents.

Bellona gritted her teeth and looked to Bartolomeu before she turned around. Gaia's two siblings had come out of their rooms and were on the balcony before the steps, watching the scene down below. They could tell their mother was pissed, especially by the magic energy she gave off. Gaia was half tempted to let her own loose too, but she was going to wait just a little longer. An idea came to the mage as she straightened again and turned around. “How about we go to the parlor? You said there was tea just finished being made? Lets talk about what happened in there and let everyone make sense of things. I can tell you about my modeling and whatever afterwards.” She waved her hand and offered her other to the girl. “Care to come with?” She muses as an unfortunate butler begun to lead the group towards the parlor. Gaia knew they were trained to keep their emotions mostly hidden, but she still felt bad for him having to see all this family drama be thrown down.

Dearest Family Empty Re: Dearest Family

Post by Kyran 11th February 2020, 12:28 pm

Bel got thrust into his arms suddenly. He couldn't even see the reason for the action. Kyran panicked a little. Up to this point, he'd only had to deal with one twin or the other. Gaia had always been there to help. They weren't calm either. Ducarius was still upset and his fear threatened to send Bel back into a crying fit. Their grandmother wasn't helping either. While not yet mages, the twins had shown an aptitude for sensing magic. They'd never know the demons were in control otherwise. At least that was Kyran's best guess as to how they seemed to know. I can take one for you, Master Kyran. This would be a good time to test those dolls you were building. Eae suggested. The blood mage thought about it as he rocked the twins. Neither was calming down.

"Mrs. Sabin" Kyran finally snapped. His voice was cold, controlled. "You're bothering the twins. Please, get yourself under control or move to a distance where it won't bother them as much. They're children and they don't have magic." Kyran deliberately left out the 'yet'. Let these pompous windbags make a choice: accept the bloodline legacy or reject it based on purely inconsequential denominators. The blood mage noticed the siblings' appearance. He bit back a grin and a challenge. Their arrogance was the only reason they lost the fight last time. Gaia wouldn't appreciate it though. They had the twins here after all.

Speaking of the twins, Bel slapped a pudgy hand onto his father's face. Kyran grinned at the tyke. "How about we let Grandma stew a bit? Let's go meet the stranger!" He whispered. Bel smiled, clapping his hands together. Ducarius gurgled apparently over his fear. Kyran would never understand children. Bouncing as he walked, Kyran carried the twins over to the newcomer. "Hello! I'm Kyran. This is Ducarius on the left and Bel on the right. Your nephews if I heard you right." The redhead twisted trying to figure out a handshake. In the end, he gave up. He smiled widely instead. "I'd shake your hand if I could."
