Madi comes from a very affluent family. Never once has she known what it was like to be deprived of anything. This can make her seem like a bit of a snob, because, well, she doesn't know what it's like to struggle. How would she be able to relate to anyone who does? Despite being very wealthy, and getting everything she could ever dream of, Madi was never truly happy. Sure, she received temporary happiness from the superficial things she received as gifts, but there was something missing deep inside.

Madi ran away quite often in her youth, trying to get away from the big mansion and the people that lived within it. It often felt like a prison to her. On the outside, she felt like she could do anything... That was, until she became tired and hungry and begrudgingly went along with the butler that would come to retrieve her. Her parents would never really spend much time with her growing up, which meant that she was pretty much raised by the staff which tended to the mansion. To waste away the time, Madi taught herself how to play the violin, which she still enjoys playing to this day. She also enjoyed playing with dolls, pretending they were her friends, which contributes to the boundless imagination she has to this day.

When Madi turned 20, she decided she had had enough of the life she had been forced to live, and became much more of a wild child; getting a tattoo, dying her hair, and just generally acting out. Her parents became furious, telling her that she wasn't acting the way an heiress of a prestigious family should be. Giving her parents a stiletto nailed middle finger, Madi left the mansion. Since then, her family has disinherited her from their wealth, leaving her broke and on her own.
