Rosa Tenebris
Description:
Power means absolutely nothing when what you want to rule is absolutely in shambles around you. The world can do much better with the right hand guiding it. Rosa Tenebris is that hand that can steer Fiore in the right light from within their shadows. Together as a family, those within Rosa Tenebris will be the shepherds that Fiore needs. They are like the loving parent that just wants what's best for their child to Fiore and does whatever it is that is needed to be done to ensure that they get what they need and has a happy and healthy life, no matter the costs and what it is that needs to be done.Rosa Tenebris works both in the light and shadows, and almost everything the guild owns, throughout the whole of Fiore, has both a legitimate aspect and an illegal aspect and are run by one of the Families that make up the guild. These businesses are also fronts for the Family to not only adopt/sponsor new members into the family but to also ensure that their respective communities are well taken care of by Rosa Tenebris as well, kept safe and the rules of the Family are being followed.
Goals:
- Protect the Family - The safety and longevity of the family should be placed first in any situation. Unfortunately, that is not the priority of every person. As such, every member of the family should strive to ensure the guild survives.
- Classy Criminals - Rosa Tenebris strives to redefine the word criminal. They wish to show the ever-increasing amount of scum and villainy isn’t the only kind of criminal Fiore has. There can be honor among thieves.
- Puppetmasters - Rosa Tenebris is the only guild capable of ruling Fiore. The MC is incompetent, civilians are sheep and the legal guilds are too good to do what is necessary. The common person deserves a better leader. However, it would be naive to think criminals would be accepted as leaders. Therefore, Rosa Tenebris will use extortion, well-placed members, bribes, blackmail to rule this continent fairly from the shadows.
- Money - Money is power. Power is needed to rule, even from the shadows. It's also needed to protect the family. Make money however you see fit, be it extortion, selling said drugs and alcohol, moving unregulated goods or even people.
Rules:
- Honor - Rosa Tenebris will not be as common criminals. They will adhere to a code for nearly everything. Only in certain cases, such as an unhonorable foe, might the code be cast aside.
- Loyalty - Above all, loyalty to the Family. Those that fail to be loyal to their seniors and the guild are no better than bugs.
- Family - Rosa Tenebris is a family unit. Respect is given to those within the family. Fighting might happen within the family but no resentment should fester. The only deaths dealt to the family, by the family should be in regard to traitors.

- Dominus - Guildmaster ~ The leader of the Mafia
- Patron/Matron - Aces ~ The heads of Families, a council under the GM
- Legatus - Second in Command to the Patrons/Matrons
- Centurion - Legatus’ right hands
- Frater/Soror - The common soldiers of the mafia
- Associate - People that work with Rosa Tenebris
~The Dominus and each Patron/Matron will have a customized advisor position that acts as a third-in-command which could potentially have more respect than a Legatus.
~Members of the guild can advance via 'beating' another member of the same position or one of a higher position. This can be done using combat or by a challenge. This does mean PVP is encouraged with some stipulations. Player characters cannot pester others for a fight. Those caught pestering will be issued ONE warning before being kicked. Fights will be as fair as possible. The fights may also be plot only if members wish to do things that way.

Guildhall:
The main hall of Rosa Tenebris is located within the woods of Sakuramori. Using the protection of the cherry blossom trees and the creatures within it to keep those within the oriental styled hall, safe and out of the public eye. Magical wards keep the creatures away from the guildhall. The wards also allow the guildhall to function as a safe house for civilians and the odd traveler.
Code of Honor:
1) Honor your Elders, especially the one that brought you into the family2) Don’t steal from the guild
3) Do not take drugs/alcohol in excess
4) Act chivalrously to the common person - even while robbing them
5) Always tell the truth when asked for information
6) Don’t snitch on guild members
7) Don’t be seen with police
8) No second chances
Buisnesses:
- Blackmail - Rosa Tenebris owns several news stations, anonymously. Each is a wellspring of information. Trusted reporters are used to gather intel on anyone Rosa Tenebris might need some dirt on. Of course, plausible deniability is used if said reporters are caught. P.I.s can also be hired by these news stations for this task. The information is sometimes placed in a folder for future use, depending on the person, or sold on the black market to the highest bidder.
- Car/vehicle theft - For cars stolen by their members, Rosa Tenebris has a process. Mechanics owned by the guild take the car apart or carefully repurpose them. Depending on the car, it is either placed on the black market, sold to street racers (for races which the guild bets on) or placed on a car lot owned by the guild. Sometimes the car is sold to be reacquired and sold again.
- Money laundering - Dirty money is filtered through several casinos and businesses (small shops, pawnshops, apartments, etc.) owned by the guild. Those trusted to handle the guild's money have a clear warning over their heads: Anything happens to the money, you'll be wearing stone shoes and swimming.
- Drug trafficking - The guild buys and steals pharmaceutical drugs. They are sold through the guild's pharmacies. Illegal drugs are created in secret locations. They're transported via a variety of methods. Sometimes the illegals are sold on the corner, in an alleyway, and sometimes they're sold in the pharmacies in specially marked bottles.
- Contractors - Sometimes, bribery and blackmail can't sway an enemy of the guild. For those times or when someone needs to disappear, the guild retains a group of contract killers. Each killer is kept in the dark as to who their employer is unless they are deemed trustworthy. The guild likes employing those with few scruples and fewer morals.
- Enforcers - The guild provides a bodyguard service for top paying clientele. They also own several small neighborhoods. These two legitimate jobs work together to squeeze money out of people. The bodyguards offer protection for a small fee and enforce the need for it should someone refuse. The enforcers also are used to enact punishment on those who break the rules and a few of them function as a cleanup service. Those that do cleaning work in some of the guild's butcheries instead of the bodyguard services.
- Human Trafficking - Blind auctions are a friend for those wanting to sell illegal goods. It is even better for those selling humans and intelligent beings. Rosa Tenebris owns several auction houses, all of which use the blind auction. Humans and intelligent beings are kidnapped before being brought to underground holding areas near the auction houses. Those interested in buying people are given select information as to how to find what they might be looking for. The lists used in the blind auctions don't actually list people obviously - otherwise, they'd be caught. there are special phrases or code words used in item descriptions that tip-off those in the know.
- Transportation - Rosa Tenebris keeps many various taxi and teleportation services funded. They range across all of Fiore and are in no way obviously connected to the guild. There are specially placed agents in every funded service. These agents are on call to be used as getaway mages/drivers where the guild has need of them.
