Coming from the country of Seven, Odhran Aegisbane was far from a fan of the cold winds of Mount Hakobe. Errings Rising was not a place that he had expected to join, but he was here nonetheless, and he wished to grace their halls with his presence.

"Surely these cold winds are no place for such a wondrous and indefatigable being such as myself to bear! Clearly the foul machinations of nature itself have no bearing on the strength that I possess!"

Having made his announcement, he twisted the marble on the ring on his right ring finger, and the snowy tundras near the peak of Mount Hakobe shifted to that of a sandy desert. He smiled, already feeling the heat of his pocket dimension. Instinctively, he opened the Gate of the Broken Tooth, letting Syloria rest on his shoulders as he made his trek closer to the castle where Errings Rising sat. He was almost certain that the sudden and drastic shift in the landscape outside of the hall would be noticed, and he made sure to adjust his appearance to make a good impression. Syloria whispered something in a language that Odhran did not truly understand, yet he laughed and pretended that he understood the words that his Celestial Spirit spoke.

He swung open the doors to the guild hall, Syloria still sat on his shoulder. "People of the guild Errings Rising! Fear not, the God of the Celestial Spirit Realm has come forth to grant you his favor! My fellow gods have deemed you all worthy of being in the presence of the one to whom all Celestial Spirits bend! I am the one to whom this mortal coil has called Odhran Aegisbane, and those that have drawn the ire of my wrath have been met with a swift end at the hands of myself or those Spirits that bid themselves allies of the God of their realm!"

Ending his announcement, Syloria began jumping and cheering atop Odhran's shoulder, clapping with glee. Odhran stood proudly in a typcial "superhero" pose, hands planted into his sides as Syloria served as his cheering section. Hidden in his hands were the poweful keys of Arnaluuk and Lupa, though he saw fit to hide their presence for the time being.

Another fine and fun day within the halls of Errings Rising. The maid had been in the middle of preparing a nice, hot stew for later in the day. Serving for many was a skill one had to develop and anticipate for many more mouths than in the current moment, but it was never a problem when you prepared enough to assure leftovers. It wasn’t as though they lasted long anyway. She had to make sure not only the members were able to be fed, but for those that they had “employed” as well. Something she became a little more generous of now that her memories had returned to her. Sanguine was not a fan of remembering the origin of her name, but she had to live with that being the one she was most known by because of the situations at hand.

The maid hummed to herself as she had finished chopping up the few ingredients left for the vegetables she put inside the stew while tending to a couple minor details such as washing up and doing so with the help of her hair magic. It was a very.. lackluster purpose for using it, but in her profession it was the difference between a half hour and an hour and a half sometimes. ”Miss Sanguine?” Another maid had entered the kitchen and seeking her attention, she turned around and gave her a bright, happy smile as always. ”We have a guest in the hall. He’s... a special case for sure.” The maid replied. The unsettling look of discomfort in her body language and face had no affect on the smile on her face. ”I see...” She said, wiping her hands on the apron she had used and then removed it, laying it on the counter and turning around to face this nervous maid. ”I’ll take care of it. If you could please just take over for me with the meal preparations, I’d much appreciate it. I trust you know where I keep the book? There’s not much left, so you should have some time to relax and I’ll be in to check on your soon.”

Giving a small patting to her shoulder, she left the maid behind and made her way through the dining hall and a couple other miscellaneous rooms before she came to find the guest. It.. wasn’t very hard seeing the way he was posed and yelling loudly to tell what exactly he was; just another blowhard. She could be wrong of course, but she had removed a couple bad eggs before because of it. ”Welcome to Errings Rising, sir.” She calmly greeted him as she approached, sure to give him the same courteous greeting as she did everyone. The head maid gave a curtsy and then rose back to stand in her more natural standing position with her feet together, her back straight, and hands present in front of her with one over top of the other. ”My name is Sanguine. I first would ask you to lower your voice, as there may be members whom are resting from their completeD tasks. Now, with that out of the way, how may I be of service to you today?” She still held her smile, assured that if she were lucky enough, he just wanted to put on a show, but... she wouldn’t take kindly to much else.

The girl, who called herself Sanguine, curtsied to the Odhran, who slowly removed himself from his pose, petting Syloria on the head. "Of course, dearest Sanguine! I am Odhran Aegisbane, of the long-disgraced family of the Celestial Spirit Gods of Seven, and the King of the Celestial Spirit realm has deemed fit to bring the presence of my service to the forefront of your hallowed halls! The God of the Celestial Spirit Realm, Odhran Aegisbane, has power beyond what could be imagined from a mere mortal! Behold!" He opened the door once more to the outside, revealing the sandy deserts outside. "Nature itself bends to my whims, and the spirits that have made themselves my allies have a great appreciation for my presence, and I am sure you will have as well! Behold, again!" Slipping the keys he had in hand out, he simultaneously opened them. "Key of the Frozen Sea Spirit, Arnaluuk, and Key of the Pterolykos, Lupa, I bid you to come forth!" Coming forth in the desert outside were the Frozen Witch and the Flying Wolf. Arnaluuk had a cross look on her face as Lupa wagged her tail, panting. "These are Arnaluuk and Lupa, the only keys that my family once owned that I have been able to retain from the years of toil and exile. They are among the strongest spirits at my disposal, and they are sure to grant a wonderful presence to your guild!"

He laughed, ignoring the odd looks from the onlookers and Arnaluuk. "As for myself, I have seen fit to join one of the Wizard Guilds of Fiore! Yet there are few that are worthy of my presence. Those that bid themselves the lapdogs-" Lupa sat her head on the shoulder of which Syloria was not on at the mention of the word lapdog. "-of the Magic Council are unfit to host one of my caliber, and those that deign to follow the rules and laws of this feeble country are, too, unworthy of my presence. Rather, I saw fit to travel to you, Errings Rising, who are at the peak, the pinnacle of true freedom! Perhaps, as I should say in a more...mortal sense, I wish to join your guild. You certainly will accept someone of my caliber, of my prestige and status, will you not? Should you not, you will surely rue the day to which I become one of the Warlords of this pitiful country. While I have yet to grown fully accustomed to the magical aura of this feeble and weak country, I, as the God of the Celestial Spirit Realm, certainly have the capabilities to rule over this land with, and I shall bring glory and fear and respect to all that shall call themselves allies of a God! I am no simple man, as you can tell. I am the God of the Celestial Spirit Realm, and I shall soon be a God amongst men! I have seen fit to grant you the wills and whims of my presence to bring this guild, this community of fellow greats, to the heights of glory and fear!"

He once more was going to roar in laughter, only to be met by Arnaluuk hitting him upside the head. "Ignore his antics. He, as you can see, has a bit of a...problem with himself. What I want to say as one of his...ugh...'trusted marshals and generals of his royal army,' is that we will be a great help to this guild."

Lupa merely barked in agreement, wagging her tail as she licked the side of Odhran's face as Syloria leaped atop her head.

The more she listened to Odhran speak, the happier she was feeling to know she was a god slayer. Just one prick of the skin and she could make his rather insolent cries of attention and self proclamation go away. BUT, she wasn’t at that point yet. She was a dutiful, happy maid and she would make sure to keep to it until she couldn’t any longer. If anything, her anger issues were that of the past, which helped her immensely with her past and present conjoining now. But, he began to go on about his abilities, and while at first she was a little skeptical of it all, seeing it for herself was al little more of a shocker than she had imagined. Not one to put on the face though, but she nodded slowly in an understanding. Even so, anyone can play a trick of the eyes and the former nun was not above the thought of optical illusions to flex ones muscles.

”Your family must have taken great pride in you, I take it.” She started off simply. It must have been nice. A family to have doting on you from day one. For her, it took 13 years to learn she had one, let alone meet them. As envious as she could have been, it bothered her not. She was going to be the one person she could be, and that would be herself. If that meant a cheerful maid, than so be it. It’s what made her happiest and so far, everyone in Errings Rising made her feel wanted, so she felt no need to change that. ”But you have some very unique creatures at your beck and call. I hope you treat them well.” She wondered, looking over the wolf and the woman whom arrived from... somewhere. She hadn’t been paying too much attention as his rambling on about his mighty self was a bit much without moderation.

One thing seemed to tick to her. When he had brought up the fact of letting him join because of who he was, that wasn’t something you can brush off with ease. But as this stranger stood in her halls, proclaiming his status to her, and then had the Gaul to say that if they didn’t let him in, that they would rue it and it hit a nerve. The god talk was one thing, but the sweet smile soured very quickly. It mattered not that his own summoned creatures tried to reprimand and apologize, though they did a decent enough job of giving him the slap and apologizing for him, but she was going to stand the ground of a proud person whom took pride in where she belonged. ”I will not sit idly by why you prance around as though we’re so grateful to have you in here. Truthfully, I’ve killed several others with the mouth and self entitlement that almost rivals yours, but honestly, they tasted just like the garbage they spewed from their mouths.” Her eyes would turn feral, draconic almost as she glared at the male. ”Nobody will proclaim themselves to be better than one another within these halls, and especially than our Queen. The rest of the world may feel your rather, but you WILL be respectful of your other members.” She stopped herself, giving a low snarl and trying to keep herself together. ”If you agree to that, I will gladly allow your admittance to our guild. But believe me when I tell you, I am the kindest soul you’ll see around here when it comes to your ‘higher than the lord himself’ attitude.”

The maid's attitude had quickly soured, with Odhran unable to understand why, though Arnaluuk seemed to have some explanation. "I'll be sure to do whatever I can to keep him reined in with his...attitude," Arnaluuk said, apologizing. "As you can see, he's a bit of a dunce. As one of his Celestial Spirits, I can't really do anything to stop him, considering our contract and all, but I'll see what I can do about him."

Lupa barked, wagging her tail as she approached the maid. "Very well, Lupa. I understand what you are saying. As for you, dearest Sanguine, I suppose that I must apologize for my actions. Lupa has bid me to...change how I act. She has wisely recognized that I, at present, am little more than those petty magicless specks that disgrace this world, especially in comparison to the likes of those...more accustomed to the magic of Fiore. I do not know who this Queen of yours is, but I shall ensure that I let my actions speak moreso than my words."

"You...you didn't need Lupa to tell you that. I was telling you that already."

"Sanguine! I shall accept your condition that I ensure that I prove my worth towards your guild, rather than simply speaking from my mind about my talents. I have certainly proven some of my talents already, yet they are nothing more than a farce, naught more than a show to display my capabilities! Until such time that I prove myself among the ranks of the Warlords of Fiore, I shall be little more than a subservient God! It will never be denied of my holy and ethereal status among the heavens, as even the King of the Celestial Spirit Realm has seen the extents of my glory, but I shall ensure that it will not be I alone that bring this guild to glory! I must thoroughly apologize for this...unclear explanation of my goals. If I merely sought to bring glory to myself, I would have forgone such an idea as a guild, but as my great and gracious allies have proven, I am far from a lone wolf. I am one who seeks the best in all my allies, and my allies are my greatest strength. I am no mere God, I am the God of the Celestial Spirit Realm, and thus my dominion is wrapped in the bonds of friendship and camaraderie. Indeed, I shall ensure that my talents are used to benefit those who are, at present, above my status. Perhaps within the lands of Seven, I may be able to challenge ones such as yourself in the throes of combat, but within the country I am in now, even I must recognize that I am helpless to those that would bid themselves against me, especially those talented as yourself. My sense of magical attunement within Fiore is lackluster, but I recognize your power. Perhaps it may be one of the boons I have as a God, that I can-"

Arnaluuk was ticked now, and summoned her trident, whacking Odhran repeatedly atop the head. "Just stop talking, dunce. Lupa, if you would?" Lupa barked, quickly licking Sanguine before tackling Odhran, taking a rest atop his body, completely covering him and leaving him unable to speak. "Look, I know that even compared to that idiot that I'm weak. I'm a Spirit bound to him, for goodness' sake. But he's unsurprisingly already been kicked out of a few smaller dark guilds, and I don't really want to be out of a home again. Well, I mean, I'm fine. I'm a Celestial Spirit, but I don't want to have to deal with him complaining to me about 'this foul country not having respect for one of his status.' He gets really annoying. You already know that, and you've known him for just a few minutes. I've had to deal with him for fourteen years. Yes, even when he was a kid, he was this annoying. Lupa."

Lupa barked once more, springing up from her Keybearer and took a rest beside the maid's feet. "Indeed. As dearest Arnaluuk has stated, some other guilds-" Arnaluuk glared at him, anticipating what he was going to say. "...have seen me as unfit to join their ranks for much the same reasons as you have presented before me. The streets of Fiore are most uncomfortable to sleep in, so I humbly request that you grant me a place within these hallowed halls. Landlords of the various cities seem to not want to trust my payment, and even the homeless shelters of Crocus have denied me entry, and so I ask that you permit me into these halls." He hesitated for a moment, sucking in his breath as he dropped to his knees, prostrating. "Even a God such as myself can be brought down to the whims of fate and poverty. Though I may be a God, I am but a weak God. I am a God without the power to even gain a hall to rest my weary soul in, and so I humbly ask you to allow me to join this guild. Please?"

Arnaluuk looked shocked. She had never seen Odhran act in such a way. Perhaps it was the status of Errings Rising as opposed to the other guilds he attempted to join, but she did not expect Odhran to ever humble himself, especially in such a way as to prostrate. She sighed, curious at how things would advance. Lupa rested calmly at the feet of Sanguine while Syloria gave her best pleading eyes towards the maid from atop the Pterolykos's head.

Despite the words that the more sane summon that had spoken up for Odhran had been clear as day, she wasn’t really hearing it. And even despite his apparent ability to speak to this mutt that walked up to her, she had looked down to it once before she peered back up to the summoner of the pair while he tried to lay out an apology. He was still rather ignorant in the way he referred to those whom didn’t have the ability to use magic, which for someone whom was raised with those people and for the most part of her life for a while, was the same, this hit harder to her than normal. She was only getting angrier the more he spoke, despite how calm she was trying to be, more and more of it was starting to seep through.

”The Queen I speak of is our guild Mistress, Saraphina. Though I warn you she may act a little childish at times, she is much more competent to put your head on a wall mount over a fireplace.”

Granted, it was a bit excessive to say something like that, but truth be told, Sanguine would believe her to do something of that sort, so it could very much be a truth and she not really be lying at all. It was just an assumption she believed to be a truth. Who knew what she would do with it. It became harder and harder to tell of his intentions as he spoke them in a mix of contradictory apologies and self praises, but as the summon of his whom tried to pipe in to correct the situation, the maid held her hand up, signaling her to stop. She took one drop breath in, held it momentarily, exhaled, and then smiled brightly with her eyes momentarily shut. Though, it was an unsettling smile to say the least. ”Allow me to stop you there. I need not hear another word of an explanation or a reiteration of his. Your intentions are not unappreciated, I promise. But I am going to simply state that your proclamations of godliness to one who slays them is not so much a good idea.” She giggled, as if it were a lot of a joke to her.

Letting the smile continue, she had opened her eyes and the beastly shape of her eyes has retracted to their normal shape and color as well. She allowed him to sound almost as though he were groveling as a last resort to take refuge within the halls. She didn’t let the way he spoke get to her that much. For one whom used to be an advent believer of god and church, the talk of ones levels of narcissism to that of a god complex was no longer affecting her. Besides, the one god she still believed in would no doubt turn him into ashes at best and a sniveling, broken husk of a being wishing for death at worst. She didn’t see it worthy to be angry over anymore. ”Very well, sir Odhran. Where is it you would like your guild symbol to be placed... and if you make a sny, lewd remark, please know I will personally make sure you have a permanent reminder of thinking before you speak.” Again, she laid out the happy, joyful smile as though she were being the sweetest she could be.

Just as quickly as it soured, the maid's attitude sweetened to one that Odhran thought typical of a maid. Granted, his only experience with maids was that of tales told in taverns and the occasional mansion raid, but this was more akin to what he was expecting. Of course, her words still held a certain bite to them.

"Ah, I...I see." He was visibly nervous at this point. "You are a God Slayer. N-No matter. I am c-certainly a God that is immune to s-such trivialities." A mere twelve seconds after he stood up from his prostrated position, he returned once more to apologizing, prostrating so quickly that his head left a small divot in the floor. "That said, I would never dream of challenging you to a duel! N-Nonsense! I-I would never dream of dueling a God Slayer in combat, ever! So, y-you shall have the full-blown l-loyalty of my services, L-Lady Sanguine! E-Er, y-you can also a-assure that your Q-Queen has my full service as well! L-Let this God of th-the C-Celestial S-Spirit Realm be of s-service to you!"

He felt the wet tongue of Lupa lick him in the face as two arms grabbed him and dragged him up to his feet. He looked around, happy to see the faces of Scorpio and Arnaluuk. "Ah, Scorpio! Glad to see that you have arrived! Now then, dearest Sanguine, as for the mark that shall show my allegiance to this wonderful guild, I would wish for it to be born upon this right arm that brings my enemies to ruin!" He tapped the bicep of his right arm, his former apprehension gone from simply forgetting that the maid was a God Slayer. Lupa continued to lick him in the face, distracting him from the faint feeling of blood dripping down the side of his head from his collision with the ground.

    Lupa barked.

"I would not quite say that, Lupa." he rubbed her behind the ear, causing her tail to wag, blowing the sand that had been tracked in from Perpetuus Sama's desert all around the room they were in. The flapping of her wings similarly served to boost this mess. "In fact, I think that she is quite a nice lady, and I'm sure their queen is as well." Lupa barked once more. "That is certainly a question to ask." He  now addressed the maid. "Would you or your Queen happen to have any treats for Lupa? She has been such a good girl, and she is dreadfully hungry. Well, perhaps not hungry. She is a Celestial Spirit, after all, but I believe she deserves a treat."

Lupa's tail wagging intensified, now bringing in extra sand from the outside to dirty the ground. Arnaluuk traded worried glances between Odhran and the maid, though Odhran was not quite certain why.

"Well, well, baby," Scorpio casually said, strolling over to the maid. "I have to say, I certainly enjoy a girl that has a lot of power, and sounds like you've got a lot of power. God Slayer, was it? I've never met someone with such a good and unique power, Lady Sanguine. Not to mention that you're a maid, too? Honestly, since I broke up with Aquarius, I've been looking for someone as perfect as you. Powerful, but humble enough to work for another. And as a maid! It's wonderful, truly. How's about we get something to eat? I know a couple of Celestial Spirits that are really good chefs."

"Scorpio, what makes you think she'll treat you any different than Odhran?"

Scorpio coyly flipped his hair with his claw. "There's more than one reason that I'm called 'Golden,' baby." He turned his attention once more to the maid, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "So, what do you say? How's about a little romantic traipse around the Celestial Spirit Realm? I can introduce you to the best of the best, and you'll come out looking even better than you already do."

Arnaluuk stood, staring at Scorpio for a beat. She then slowly darted her eyes across the now sand-filled room, finding the nearest wall and slamming her head against it in frustration. Even if she were just a Celestial Spirit, she realized that, of all the people she was acquainted with, she was the voice of reason, and it simply was not enough.
