Job Title: Raijin, the Tempest God
Rank: 10Y
Job Location: Silent Cemetery
Solo Word Count: 11,000
Group Word Count: 22,000 word total
Additional Requirements: Mai Stormschild MUST be present
Job Description: Following Mai's approval into S-Rank, trails begin to emerge regarding the whereabouts of her father, Raijin. This leads her to the Silent Cemetery, where she is told that her father is waiting.
Upon arrival in the mysterious lands, she and her party is immediately accosted by a group of wizards who bar her entry, though they strangely seem to know who she is. Following their defeat, she notices an open mausoleum which, upon further inspection, reveals a tunnel into some catacombs. The catacombs wind and weave like a labyrinth, with a distinct smell of death and, strangely, rain. The party may encounter more wizards during their trip through the labyrinth.
Upon reaching the heart of the labyrinthine catacombs, a group of five wizards stand before a magic barrier, chanting a spell to break whatever is in it out. Despite the best efforts to stop this, they succeed, unleashing the horror within, which is revealed to be an undead version of Raijin, Mai's godly father. He is berserk from his undeath, and must be killed.

Raijin, Reanimated God of Thunder
The foster father of Mai Stormschild, Raijin has been resurrected from the dead. He stands ten meters tall, and is as strong as he looks. A light purple aura radiates around his body, and the magnitude of his magic can crush enemies if they are weak enough. His once-jovial nature has been stripped away, leaving him to be nothing more than a beast, intent on destroying everyone and everything in his path. This may lead to the “arena” of the fight shifting as the battle progresses, whether it be walls and pillars being destroyed or the entirety of the catacombs being caved in. While his fighting capabilities have certainly been weakened from his time in death, he is by no means an easy foe, considering his status as a god.

- Notable Contents of the Journal:
- (the date on this entry has been scrubbed out by time.) We've done it! I can't believe it! Gods are real, and they can bleed. They might be divine, but they can die! They're damn powerful, that's for sure. A legion of Rune Knights, plus half of our own people in order to take him down. Even then, we got lucky that the little girl showed up. By herself, she killed a couple dozen by herself, but what's more important is that she struck the God with some of her magic. God Slayer Magic! To think that some little whelp could have that kind of power, but to think that a god can take a direct hit from God Slayer Magic that obliterated a few good men and still have enough strength to tell the kid to run. Dunno why he did, though. Raijin was a crazy old bastard, hated everyone and everything, but looks like he could throw that aside. Shame the girl disappeared. Couldn't find her. Even crazier is that Raijin still managed to down another hundred soldiers before finally falling to a knee. Another hundred before he was finally killed. Even then, I don't think we really did all that much in the end. Had he not been hit by the girl, he would have obliterated all of us. Little kid tore off the arm of a god with a single breath! I want to find her, see if we can use her as a weapon, but we know nothing about her.
(the date is mostly removed by wear and tear, but a "10" can be seen) We decided to check around the area of the battle. Surprised that most of the wreckage was cleaned of the site itself - Rune Knights work quick - but they didn't check around much more than that. Not even three miles away we found a cave with a strangely high concentration of ethernano. We suspect that the bastard lived here, and, interestingly enough, that girl might've as well. Two beddings were set up, one that seemed large enough for the beast to sleep in while the other looked much more comfortable and also much, MUCH smaller. Couldn't've been taller than his knee. Shifting the earth around a bit showed off some books on etiquette, some basic reading, and, oddly, a "Parenting for Dummies" book. Raijin didn't seem like the type to care about manners, nor would be father a kid, even if he were able. I shudder at the thought.
(the date is, once again, worn away, but a "14" is barely legible) As much as I hate those damn twins, they're useful. Waterboy found a name carved into a tree another four miles south of the cave: Mai. The handwriting was absolutely awful, even for three letters carved into a tree. So we got a lead. Could that be the kid? Is it just a coincidence? We've got this in mind.
(many of the other entries are much more logistical in nature, in terms both of running the cult and acquiring the supplies and information to revive Raijin. However, one more entry is of note. It is dated two months prior to the mission.) Turns out Raijin was behind those village attacks, probably. Mukumukumuku managed to develop a way to make Tempest Clones, and while they definitely help with the revival process, their combat capabilities are interesting for sure. Kaile was sent out to Cedar to get to work on it, and lo and behold we find something rather interesting. We've found our mysterious little girl. Whelp is part of Sabertooth. Powerful, too. Mai Stormschild. Little girl, no older than fourteen. Same magic we saw back then. Let's hope she doesn't get involved.
