Post by Alma 19th October 2019, 2:05 pm

It had only been around six weeks since he had entered into the guild of Silver Wolf, this was his third guild in as many months and was wondering just how long it would be before he felt the pull to move on. It wasn't that he had wanted to leave the Rune Knights or Sabertooth, they just didn't feel right to the magenta haired teen. Magical military police? He was way to lazy and immature to do that, he prefered to do his own thing at his own leisure and in honesty to him it was up to the person in question how they wanted to use the magic they had been gifted in life. Magic itself wasn't inherently good or evil it was the one wielding it, but he guessed a magic police was needed to handle situations that normal guards and police without magic couldn't, so it wasn't exactly like he could argue the fact that the Rune Knights weren't needed or acting in the best interests of people, he just hoped they didn't become authoritarian but in his short time there he trusted the leader to be just so he didn't ever see them doing anything terrible.

Even Sabertooth was a nice place he had his friend and teammate Tyson there with him but protecting the realm against the supernatural and evil, yeah, that wasn't quite his cup of tea either. He has assured his then guildmasters that it was nothing against them or the guild it just wasn't his calling. He didn't want that kind of responsibility, he knew he wasn't ready to look after a goldfish let alone a whole realm of people against things that they had no clue about. Tyson had been out on a job when he had made a decision so left a message for him and slipped it under his door so he could get it as soon as he got back. He left soon after requesting his guild mark removed and started his journey once more to find somewhere that he felt was right for him. He thought it would be next to impossible given how he was, he had always been given what he wanted without question and his freedom where given came with a set of eyes constantly watching him so now he was out on his own he was like a toddler seeing the world for the first time and like a toddler he liked to push the line, luckily it was never to the point that he got into any serious trouble but he had been told off quite a few times for his behaviour from guards now and then. It was a learning experience for him and he had always made sure never to make the same mistake twice.

It was after leaving Sabertooth he had heard of Silver Wolf and what they done but not knowing their location or any of the members to get any real facts he done a bit of digging. He had found out that it was in an alliance with Fairytail and the West Fiore Trading Company, he didn't know anyone in the former guild but did know where it was located luckily but given its past transgressions he was always told to be wary of the mages there. He was told that tigers don't change their stripes, he however believed that the past didn't make a person and that people made mistakes so always should be given a second chance. He however wasn't near Magnolia at that point and not knowing a Fairytail mage he decided it might be a little awkward walking up to their guild hall to ask questions about another guild, also it might come off as more than a little rude so again decided that it would be a distasteful act on his part. The later however he did know people in as his family had been doing business with them for years so decided that since they weren't officially a guild and he had connections he would head to Hargeon and get a ship to the company to find out the information he was needing... big mistake...

After the week long cruise he had ended up on he got caught in the torrential rain getting to the company headquarters. He not only bumped into the only person in the company he didn't want to see, he was also dragged to a strange amusement park he wanted to now forget and couldn't. He saw a side to the man that he already wanted to avoid that he wanted to unsee, he couldn't comprehend it and to be honest with himself it scared him more than a little. Reapers, spirits and the likes, to him these were nothing but myths, folklore and urban legends used to scare children into behaving but he had seen first hand this wasn't the case and he wish he hadn't. Regardless when the task was done he asked his questions and was given the answers so headed to his now guild. He hadn't left the guild grounds really since arriving but took to being in the library absorbing information and exploring the area around the guild territory wondering about its mysteries and history even finding some caves that seemed to have went previously undiscovered that he marked on a map and intended to explore at a later date maybe with someone else if he could find someone interested in doing so.

So he had been having a good time since joining and his day so far was going well, then again well might have been to strong a word as it seemed to take a bizarre twist when a strange masked guy turned up and handed him a letter without a word. Taking it he seen the guild stamp and opened it reading it tilting his head a bit before looking over his glasses to the masked man "Up for a journey to Sakuramori? There's apparently an artifact there I've to go find and bring back." he said to the other remaining seated he awaited a response before standing and heading for the entrance to the guild hall towards the forest where the once proud guild of Black Rose once stood, now in ruins tarnished by a vile plot that to destroy the magic council was later discovered. Where he might not agree with everything that they may stand for he knew better than to go against what was pretty much the people who decided what was the do's and don'ts for magic. What that guild was planning was pure suicide, more so as it was orchestrated by former wizard saints, gods of ishgar and rising stars. He had to wonder if they had lost their minds or been invaded by body snatchers, whatever happened they were gone now and everything for the most part was back at peace.

A massive figure moved thru the trees in the woods of Sakuramori and it was easy to hear the large branches creaking and groaning under the weight of the massive Hybrid, Yuudai was actually hunting a rather rare animal that had become something of a delicacy to many. A rare deer that had snow white fur and jeweled antlers that had incredible and delicious meat not to mention the antlers fetched a hefty price on the market. The hybrid had been tracking the scent before suddenly catching the smell of another person in the woods and he veered off to have a look. Sure enough he caught sight of a young man with magenta hair and he decided to see what the person was up to. He had lost track of the scent since it kept getting more and more faint so he decided to take a bit of a break. Jumping from a few more times he landed on the ground gracefully though his paws did make some noise. He was hunched over for a moment before he stood to his full height of 10 feet and his nine fox tails waved lazily behind him as he glanced at the young man. After a moment he cracked his neck and yawned revealing the gleaming white razor sharp fangs in his mouth. He was only garbed in a simple pair of black Hakama pants with his guild mark in full view on his lower back.

I wasent expecting to see someone else here in the forest you haven’t happen to come across a white deer with jewled antlers have you by chance?” he asked politely before he remembered his manners and bowed a bit. "Im Yuudai Ortinbras of Silver Wolf I should have introduced myself before” he added before he turned and revealed his guildmark on his back so the other would know he was telling the truth before he would approach slowly as to not spook him. Yuudai knew that many people were not used to seeing a ten foot tall creature so they often were surprised. To be honest it felt good to be out and about since most of the time now he was on Tolgalen keeping an eye on the triplets as they were a handful for both him and Adalinda. Since he had a babysitter watching over them along with Tammy the God Slaying Hybrid was able to take more jobs for his guild and also indulge in hunting a bit which he had missed doing more often. He pulled a flask out from his hakama pocket and unscrewed it before taking a drink of the home made alcohol before he capped it since he didn’t think the young guy in front of him was old enough to be drinking in the first place. “ So what brings you into this forest its not for the faint of heart” he asked curiously his eyes holding a questioning look in them but they were not judgemental.

Oh, you know that finding new artifacts was something Silver Wolf adored. And as long as said artifact was in book form, you could always count on Yuvon to step in first and crave its pages to be read by him - if Haley didn’t stop him in his tracks many a time. However, the journey was just as educational, and Yuvon had gotten much more used to going out on long travels after the events and exploration at Tolgalen’s restricted fields contaminated with disease. Urgh, the things he saw back then… gross and not for the faint of heart. Luckily, he kept most of his cool, and so did his trustworthy team of wizards from all three guilds in the triangular alliance - Silver Wolf, WFTC and Fairy Tail. Not only had Yuvon expanded his horizon by exploring a previously by-his-feet untouched continent (which had seemingly been inhabited for eras), but he also managed to return back home and update his atlases. Apocrypha was kind enough to help him find all of them in that pocket space of his, and he found himself in deep work for a while in there.

But he had his duties in the guild, and it was time to exit his closet dimension and work. And as he swapped between dimensions, slimy tentacles engulfed him to transport him around. He had all the lack of attention to the grotesque fashion of having tentacles move you around like that, for it was his magic in the end. And, oh yeah, he wasn’t feeling up to date with his hunger, so he quickly summoned his kitchen tools and baked a loaf of bread while walking towards the middle of the front guild room. It was just before he considered going to the hot springs and temper his mind. But the guild had been thoroughly explored by a new member, and Yuvon gladly wanted to meet up with said member as he found… by the Saints, he looked so girly. The eyes on the mask straightened up in disbelief on what he was looking at. For a moment, he felt genuinely sorry for assuming the new member to be a boy, because… no, no, no, look closely. Yuvon started moving his masked head closer in inspection, even strolling around said person before handing them a letter and deciding that such assumptions based on a feeling of misunderstandings and lack of true information from the individual was below him. He should just learn overtime…

“O-Oh, so you are- I see! It’ll be my honor to accompany you there,” Yuvon replied elegantly, even with a formal bow alike a butler in an internal guilt of what he had been thinking earlier. Was it a boy or a girl? Who cared? Judging by the voice, it was a young boy.

So they were going to Sakuramori? The forest of pink flowers where an old guild had met its end while residing there. He recalled its name to be Black Rose, a fitting name with its base in a forest of roses… but wouldn’t it have been more fitting to reside in Rose Garden? He was fairly sure that, according to his intel, Black Rose had a building in Rose Garden. That building, however, could be interpreted as anything but a guild base; it could’ve been an outer cell, you know, for spreading influence. And given its history, it wouldn’t be too farfetched to say that Black Rose really wanted a bigger influence in Fiore than other guilds among the same alignment. The likes who would rebel against the Magic Council openly would surely have heart, and Yuvon usually didn’t meddle in politics, but his thirst for intel often pulled him towards that area.

No, no, no, no! It was time to think about the more important things. In the company of your guildmate, focus on your duty.

Along the way, Yuvon held his left hand up and managed to utilize some Archive Magic. A hologramlike map floated above it, showing his location on the map of Fiore as well as the destination marked by a Silver Wolf Crest.

Speaking of wolf, Yuvon caught a glimpse of a werewolf! And that werewolf was none other than Yuudai, and what a silent approach he made towards them. The abnormally tall and built hunter showed concern for Alma’s presence in the forest of Sakuramori, given that he was hunting down a deer and that this forest provided any tourist with its own challenges and obstacles. Who knew if another not-so-friendly predator would jump at them?

“Ah, fear not, Yuudai,” Yuvon assured Yuudai whilst grinding his hands together, “I’ll have a heart-starting spell ready in the worst scenario.” His hands caught bolts of lightning akin to a fashion of catching yourself on fire; the auras of electricity surrounded his gloves as he showed his spell in a humored spirit.

Post by Alma 21st October 2019, 12:42 pm

He had never seen someone such as the person that stood in front of him, he had no idea if they were male, female or even human if he had to be perfectly honest with himself. Part of him wanted to tie him to a bench and do some sort of examination on him but that might be frowned upon, perhaps he could ask him if he could take some blood and do some visual observations that he might agree to it. Perhaps he'd even agree to do offer his body to be researched on when he eventually died but he thought he should get to know the person in question before asking for a body donation at a later date, but he knew they could work something out at an agreement he was sure. Seeing the strange person looking at him like he had something on his face he started to rub it a little "Sorry is there something on me? Is it gone now?" he asked not realising how he looked might actually be an issue, sure he looked more feminine than most guys but he wasn't as bad as one of the two leaders of the West Fiore Trading company, he could at least pass as some what as a guy in male clothing, in female clothing... yeah all bets were off that was for sure he looked like a girl and how Sol never let him for get. He honestly wanted to punch some colour into the guys face but knew that was unseemly and given they were now in allied guilds he would get in trouble from his own guild master for creating issues that should be avoided. Then again he could always avoide the person in question and that would solve that problem he guessed, something told him however that he wasn't going to be so lucky so just forced a smile and bore it.

He blinked at the sudden elegant bow, the voice now telling him he was male so at least that solved that mystery. "I'm guessing with how you are now reacting with me now, you didn't know if I was male of female. I'm a guy, I'm called Alma." he let the other know standing returning the elegant bow with one of his own, it was clear he was well rehearsed in making such actions but his facial expression showed it was something he would rather not go into if possible. Standing he smiled once more and nodded "I'm glad for the company... uh... sorry, I don't know people's name just yet." he said nervously scratching his cheek, it wasn't that he didn't want to know his guild mates it was just that he hadn't met to many of them as of yet, after all he had only been here for around six or seven weeks, people were always coming and going while he himself was exploring what was his new home... he still got lost though...

After a short journey they ended at the edge of the Sakuramori forest, he looked at the flowers almost as if comitting each and every detail to memory. "It is so beautiful here, it is sad to think it once housed corruption." he said to the masked male his voice saddened by the thought, he hated politics but given his family standing it was something that he was never able to avoid as he grew, now it was a little different as he could decide what he done and when; well.. within reason, he still answered to his guild master after all and would rather not have her angry at him if he could help it. Give it enough time and it was bound to happen, there was a high probability but he would try and curb himself a little and hope it worked but who knew if it would work at the end of the day.

It was then he seen something standing almost as tall as a single story building, black as shadow and caused him to blink. He was about to reach for his bow and shoot the thing until the other he was with spoke with familiarity and made him tilt his head as he turned to look at the masked man again "You know the big bad wolf?" he asked his eyes going back to the wolf kitsune hybrid beofre walking around him curiousity written all over his face "So did you eat the three little pigs, red riding hood or all your vegtables to get that big?" he asked his voice not showing sarcasm but true sincerity as he spoke to the man, it was clear it was nothing more than an innocent question coming from him as he once again stopped at the masked man once more "A half kitsune, going by the colour of the fur perhaps dire wolf as well but I could be wrong." he said looking at the one called Yuudai in the hopes he would fill in the blanks.

Yuudai Blinked as he saw Yuvon appear beside Alma and greet him which made the Hybrid cross his arms and nodded in greeting.”Its been a while Yuvon and that’s good to know but jut make sure you don’t jump start yourself by accident” he joked with a barking laugh. It was then that Alma then questioned if the two knew each other and the hybrid simply nodded “ Im a guildmate of his and if your inside our guild as well then I am an ally of yours as well”he explained before he suddenly heard the younger boy call him a big bad wolf along asking if he ate all three pigs along with others to get as big as he was. It made the hybrid sigh before grabbing his flask and took another swig. “I don’t have enough alcohol for this” he muttered before he pocketed it again.”What I am is hard to say im a combination of werewolf and werefox but as for my height its always been a bit of a mystery” he said rubbing the back of his head.

since you guys are here can you give me a hand finding this deer or are you guys here on other business?” he questioned. If he got some help it would go a long way considering that his target seemed rather elusive and for a hunter of his caliber it said something about this creature, of course if Alma and Yuvon were seeking something else the Hybrid would help them the best he could, he stretched a bit as his tails moved and flickered behind him. “Has the guild hall been busy Iv had my hands full lately with the triplets” he explained, he was either hunting in the woods for his family or he was taking care of his three children. It often came as a surprise but Yuudai was a very attentive father and made sure he provided well for Ada and the triplets. “shall we keep on the move there are nasty things in this pretty place” he suggested to the other two guild members

Oh, a name! Alma, what a particularly simple and easy-on-the-tongue name for Yuvon to remember. It was only custody to say his own name now, for otherwise he would be a simpleton and quite rude to the young wizard. “I am called Yuvon. My last name brings horror to me, so just go by Mu-Myu if you ever find it necessary…” he informed Alma whilst resting his hands on his hips. Names, they were so solid and fundamental to people, and yet Yuvon had the outrageous issues in the world with them at the moment. But that, fellow listeners, was a story for another day…

“Yes I do,” Yuvon replied, “The big, bad wolf is a Silver Wolf Wizard too, and a ferocious mascot at that, in all honesty.” Yuvon felt deep pride in knowing Yuudai as an ally and as a friend, and his honor yielded him from ever betraying such elemental structures of acquaintances. Alma had quite the sense of humor, comparing Yuudai to the ‘big bad wolf’ that ate pigs in the Red Riding Hood story… it-it was a joke, right?

“Triplets? You’re a father now?” Yuvon remarked before picking up a notebook and writing down, “A hybrid between a werewolf and werefox… most hybrids turn sterile when they reach adolescence, but if you managed to breed, then that throws some more light into that area." Yuvon’s writing was refined to inhuman accuracy and haste, he made notes like an abomination with movements of the pen that could set ordinary paper on fire any time. Three pages were filled with lines about his thoughts on the matter, and he left the fourth page open for further notes when he would go back and search in his archives for any other information about hybrids and their abilities at reproduction.

“Alma and I are on the search for an artifact in these woods - presumably leftovers from Black Rose - but… jeweled antlers do count as artifacts too, right sir?” Yuvon commented as he eyed Alma, “If you wish, we can go aid Yuudai before continuing. The deers in these woods have this special trait that let them grow citrines, rubies, emeralds and sapphires out of their antlers from organic material.”

Not All Gold Glitters... at least at first... Empty Re: Not All Gold Glitters... at least at first...

Post by Alma 1st January 2020, 11:08 pm

The magenta haired teen looked between the two others looking confused, he was starting to wonder if the guild he joined was filled with experiments as other than himself the only normal looking person he had come across was the guild mistress Leona. Then again he wouldn't have been surprised if she was some sort of experiment in her own right, it really didn't seem as if anyone in the magic world was what most would deem normal. Then again normal was boring to the youth so he was quite content to keep the thesis that his entire guild was filled with experiments until there was proof to the contrary. Alma almost jamp at the barking laugh, he was in a world of his own thoughts and wasn't expecting it so it caught him off guard. "Damn it." he said holding his chest, it was clear that he was startled as he took deep breaths to calm his heartbeat but he knew that wasn't going to happen for a good five minutes so just listened to the world around him. After a good five minutes his heartbeat normalised and he looked to the giant of a man "I'm a member of Silver Wolf, I just recently joined so am still meeting people." he admitted to the pair, this of course was something that Yuvon already knew given they had this conversation not to long ago inside the guild hall. He could only watch as Yuudai took a swig from the flask before looking at the sun and quirked an eyebrow before checking the lacrima he always had on him "It's before noon and you're drinking alcohol?" he said smelling the subtle fumes in the air, he honestly couldn't believe it but it wasn't his place to judge another, especially if they could stand on him or eat him in two bites. It didn't seem like the smart thing to do.

He shrugged to his own previous comment "To each their own, so longs you're happy and not trying to eat a lil' ol' grandma I have no issues." he really wasn't meaning to go off stereotypes but this was the first time he had come across someone like Yuudai, everything he had read as a kid told him that he really should be running the other way just incase he became the next meal for this guy. He did hope the fact there was a witness and they were in the same guild that it might save him from such a fate but really at this point who knew. They were in a giant forest filled with strong mythical beasts, easy enough to make an excuse as to why he didn't come back but they had, that was a scary thought now it decided to run through his mind. Eventually however he snapped out of it and shook his head realising he was letting his overactive imagination get the best of him, these people were people that he needed to trust like they were actual family to him, he needed to trust his back to them like they needed to trust theirs to him if the worst should happen. That was going to be hard to accomplish for him given some of his other interactions over the last few years but he would try nonetheless. When Yuudai said about his races that created him but how his height was a mystery the youth's eyes brightened up, he loved discovering and researching things so the fact he had met two mysterious people he'd happily dissect once they eventually met their end, of course he would get a release from them both before they die but he should at least befriend them first because it would be kind of rude to do it as a stranger. "It seems like a mystery I'd love to help reveal!" he eventually said to the other hoping that the other would allow him to research it.

Alma wrinkled his nose at the thought of hunting a deer, he had been taken on a hunting trip when he was younger and he decided after seeing some dead rabbits he was never going to do that again. In fact he didn't eat meat because of it, it had actually put him off it for the rest of his life. "We're actually here because Leona wanted us to check up on an apparent magical artifact in this area." he said with a smile his tone filled with a happy, innocent glee. "I've only been there about a month and spent most of my time away from the guild hall than in it so I have no idea what the traffic is like. I did hear of a huge expedition that the allied guilds done." he said looking to the left as if he was planning something for a moment before his smile appeared once again on his face. He couldn't help but blink hearing that the tall male had children and even a partner his head tilting "Are they all as big as you?" he asked not really knowing who his partner might be and what age his children were or if they had the same look as their father or took on a more humanoid look, yet another mystery for him but this one he was sure would be easier to unravel than the reason a person might be as tall as his overgrown guildmate. "Do you have any pictures of you and your family?" he asked with the same childish curiosity he had for everything else when it came to learning something new, he still wanted to stroke and pet the mans tails just to feel just how soft they were. They looked as if they could be used as a wonderful blanket if cold and a great pillow if a person needed to sleep, he was sure that his children must have enjoyed playing with and using them as they grew as he knew he himself would have.

Alma then realised he hadn't really spoken to the other when they had travelled to this place and blinked absently as he remembered turning to look to Yuvon. "Yuvon is fine, last names hold secrets and I don't want mine out so you don't need to worry about the nightmare of yours from me." he said in a somewhat dazed and stoic tone "So he is the big bad wolf? Wow, nice to know he's on our side." he said with a grin turning to Yuudai "If I pay you enough would you eat someone for me?" he asked in a sincere tone, he would give him anything within his ability to give if he would eat Sol and solve one of the issues he kept facing with the albino male. He knew they were allies and shouldn't be asking for his demise but he was sick of everything he was put through, it hadn't stopped even when the other found out he wanted to join the guild in fact it hadn't even stopped when he got his guild mark so it was only fair in his opinion to wish the others death. Alma nodded hearing how Yuvon seemed to be out of the look that Yuudai was a father "I was told by Sol when I travelled to Tolgalen to find out about the Silver wolf guild. His wife is Adalinda one of the many vice presidents of the west fiore trading company, though he didn't tell me of the genders." he said thinking back to the storm and the theme park fiasco, in honesty he didn't believe it was Sol's right to tell him such personal information on another but that was now between Yuudai and Sol. "Actually, from what I've read Yuvon it depends on the hybrid, demonic hybrids tend to be more fertile especially if they have incubus or succubus blood in them." he added to the other so he might be able to make an amendment and know there is more research to be done "When we get back to the guild we can share notes if you like." he offered the masked man.

Alma tilted his head at the words on Yuvon and shook his head "No, jewelled antlers are not artifacts and likely should be left alone until the elk or deer in question has died of natural causes because I've heard of bad stories of killing such things just for the treasure they hold." he said honestly to the other, it seemed to drain the colour from the magenta haired boy's face as if he was recalling some disturbing image; after a few minutes he shook his head as if trying to come back to his senses "Yes, the artifact is said to have been something from a now destroyed or corrupted guild." he informed Yuudai, he had heard whispers that remnants of the once formerly great Black Rose guild still existed and intended to carry out the plan of their last guild master, whatever that might be. He didn't think it would come to much as there were far to many powerful mages that would squash them like bugs but that was neither here nor there at this point.

Yuudai smirked wolfishly as he made Alma jump from his laughing and he snickerd a bit more. “ah that was a good response” he said as he took another swig of his flask, as the younger male asked if he was seriously drinking alcohol before noon and Yuudai was in the middle of tilting his head back to take a drink before he suddenly glanced over at him before he pulled the flask back and shrugged before chuckling a bit at the grandma eating comment. “its five o clock somewhere and if your wanting to help figure out my height I suppose it would be ok to have you help out though im just assuming either I got lucky or another factor is in play” he explained as he put his flask away and stretched his limbs. Even though he was covered in pitch black fur it was easy to see the hybrids bulging muscles as he stretched and flexed a bit to make sure he wasent stiff.

Upon hearing the duo was looking for a magical artifact here that was a remnant of the black rose guild made Yuudai blink for a second before nodding.”I can help out with that and while I do so I can find this deer that is needed” he said before hearing about the expedition. “I did hear about that but I didn’t go since I heard it was a very careful and highly dangerous task I didn’t want to risk leaving my kids without a father” he explained before he dug thru his hakama pockets to find a picture as the Alma asked for one. “they aren’t as tall as me in fact I tower over my wife but I have no doubt my kids will be rather tall compared to most people.” He said as he pulled out a picture of himself and Ada together and the three infants before the,.”that’s my wife Adalinda and out children Aiko, Lethe and Setsuna” he explained pointing to each one. When Alma asked if he was payed enough if he would eat someone the hybrid blinked for a moment before he shook his head. "sorry no amount of money is going to make me a man eater it’s a bit off putting even though my jaws are built for it heck I eat metal as a snack I could most likely bite thru a human arm like it was a pretzel” he stated as he pulled out a few bolts from his pocket and started crunching on them like they were a simple bar food.

while it may be true that to just take such a thing would be bad rest assured that while my client will get the antlers I will not let any of the animal go to waste my people believe that by using as much of the animal as you can you honor the life that you have taken” he explained since even when he was hunting back on Tolgalen he always made sure to use as much from the deer and creatures as he could. He had actually made some very soft and warm blankets from the pelts of creatures he hunted and used them to keep himself and his family very warm. “well if we need to find this artifact then lets go hopefully its not something to dangerous” Yuudai said as he waited for them to start moving again and would follow to help them out
