It’s time.
The one time a year that West Fiore welcomed the haunted and the haunters, Halloween.
Aliannah looked proudly at the work that she had done. The once bright and crystal chandeliers of the ballroom were down covered in spiderwebs, the lights that scattered the hall had been replaced with something more dreary, red and black curtains covered entrances on the main floor while whispy curtains covered the second.
At the time there were tables that covered the floor, indicating that the meal would occur before the dancing. This was a formal thing of course, West Fiore Trading company really wouldn’t have it any other way. Well, Aliannah wouldn’t have it any other way.
The blonde walked amongst the tables, looking at the arrangements that were on the tables and the exactness of the table setting. This was her first year planning such an event and she wouldn’t have something go wrong and make a fool of her. Her fingers grazed along the gold and blood red table covers and looked at the old looking gold plates and silverware. She couldn’t help but thing what the menu was to be: to begin there would be a goat cheese crostini with olive-fig oil drizzle, followed by a slightly spicy and earthy pumpkin soup, then a simple salad with raspberry vinaigrette to cleanse the tastebuds, no nuts just in case of allergies, finally the main course of Roasted Duck with plum sauce, a vegan option of tofu would be offered, this would be followed by a lemon sorbet, then a dessert of fruit tarts along with champaign, finally to end the meal small chocolates would be served.
She had designed the meal herself with a little help from the internet, but once the meal was done the tables would be cleared from the floor with a bit of magic and the dancing would be able to start. There would be a bar then, she had convinced that one bartender from a while back to pay back the favor that he owed her from making her job harder than it needed to be. A small smile graced the lips of the girl and she took a breath, everything was set up, now all she needed was for the party to begin.
Aliannah thoroughly looked forward to the event she had spent much time on her costume, a valiant angel, it was slightly ironic and really only she would understand, maybe Cirven if he came. He had taken time to put waves into her hair and actually do make-up for once. She had also looked all over the internet for the pieces that she wanted for her costume, making it elegant a blowy, sure it wasn’t a typical halloween costume, scary to halloween themed, but it was an angel of some sort and to her that counted. Pushing her hair from her face the girl moved away from the table that she was at and to another one, preforming the same check she had done on the last table.
The girl smiled to herself at the audience that she would have and was proud of herself as she had thought of having a children’s area in the room over so that the mages could bring their children along to the party. She had planned for the children to have their very own party of sorts with crafts, games, and snacks with gift bags to go home with them once the adults were ready to go. Aliannah was also proud that she had volunteers from the Sanctuary coming to watch the children as several from the sanctuary were bound to show up themselves. A chuckle left the lips of the girl as she thought of the small children running around in their costumes, playing and shouting. She was trying to make this party fit for all.
But she still had to wait, she only hoped that the invitation that she had gotten approval for and sent out reached all of the registered guilds.
