Ring ring, ring ring... The sound of a familiar ringtone rung against Sojiro's tired ears, followed by a vibrating in his right pocket. With a grunt he would place his newly purchased book into his school's duffel bag and reach down to grasp his phone, checking the ID. 'Taku' was what it read which caused a groan to leave his lips before he'd slide his finger across the screen, bringing the phone to his ear,"What's up, Taku-san?" On the other end of a line was the loud voice of a man, causing Sojiro to flinch away from the phone, sliding his finger along the side to lower the volume to try and save himself a literal headache. His soft purple eyes watched cars fly by in the street, the sky turning shades of orange as the sun set,"I just picked up that book for our English assignment. I'm about to head to the library for a bit." And Sojiro was silent for a few moments as Takumi began to spew about this and that, the blue haired man holding the phone to his ear with his shoulder now. As he let out a long yawn, he'd turn to start walking up the stairs to a large building,"Yeah, yeah, I hear you Taku-san. I'm heading inside now though, I'll see you when you get here?... Definitely bring some drinks." And with that he'd hang up his phone, turn the ringer off before sliding it back into his pocket.
Sojiro would enter the public library and proceed to sit down at a four person table, placing his bag on the seat next to him. He'd take off his red framed glasses for a moment, placing them on the table and rubbing his brow as he sighed,"God, I'm so exhausted..." He'd take a few moments to rest his face in both his palms before he felt a short vibration in his pocket. Pulling out his phone again there was a text from Takumi; *What type of soda did you want? And any snacks?* To which Sojiro would take a moment to ponder before replying;*Dr. Pibb. And is that even a question?* And with that he'd place his phone on the table next to him, sliding his glasses back on before he'd reach into his back to pull out the book. It was a thick, leather bound book with a crimson cover. The Hero Spirit Contract, what an odd name but it sounded like a more interesting read than their last assignment. Sojiro turned to the first page and was immediately stressed by the sight of the page, the words on it so small that they blurred before his eyes,"Oh come on..." This caused the man to scan it quickly before setting eyes on the signature line on the bottom,"I guess when you spend a lot of money on a book like this, you should expect it to be eccentric for no reason." And swiftly did he mark his name down on the line...
A few moments passed before there was a sudden stabbing in his chest, starting as pins and needles before increasing rapidly. Sojiro was engulfed in so much pain that as he tried to scream nothing but empty air came out of his lungs. Wasn't he too young to have a heart attack?! He was too healthy, he was positive! The man tried to stand up, his knees buckle underneath his weight almost immediately as he'd topple to the side onto the bag with his belongings. Both him and the chair would go toppling to the ground with a loud thud as his vision blurred, one hand grasped tightly against his chest with the other reaching desperately for the edge of the table. In that moment Sojiro Sakura's vision faded to black as he felt, what he thought, was his heart explode...
......Meanwhile....
In one of the forested clearings in Sakuramori, powerful energy swirled in the area as it went from a bright afternoon to a cloud-filled one in an instant. Power magic crackled in this opened as a summoning circle appeared in the sky, tearing open a rift that blew the grass flat and the tops of trees to dance furiously. The energy seemed to be feeding into the center of this circle as it reached an climax, exploding with a furious bolt of lighting that collided with the ground. And then, as fast as it had arrived, it was gone. The clouds cleared and silence fell over this portion of the forest, the bolt of lightning not damaging the area in the slightest. All it left in its wake was a confused young man with sapphire hair, sprawled out on his back wearing a white shirt, a red tie, and black pants to match. The only detail on his was an unfamiliar insignia on his left pec for his shirt, as well as a large duffel bag with the same insignia. Slowly Sojiro would regain his consciousness, grunting and squinting from the bright sunlight.
