Raviel stopped by the front door. Without wasting much time, he knocked at the door. No need to wait or waste any more time. Considering Oykai, Sol would probably already have been notified.
He waited there, staring at the door. He knew Oykai was never the easiest to deal with, but to think he sided with someone affiliated with the traitor. Well, that was somewhat of a sour spot for the young prince. He could strip him his rank and play around all he wanted though, if there was one thing he would not give up would be his pride and his indipendence.
He did admit he had acted like a brat to someone that was more or less just thrust in there. Still, he could not understand. Oykai would not accept the guy in the family, but then when HE was of similar ideals it was wrong? Perhaps this was simply one of Oykai's games, then again Raviel knew that the leader of the Reapers was weird in his own right. He pretty much despised anyone anyway. So perhaps he misunderstood his stance on the matter.
Sure, he was being forced into playing the little slave game now...with someone that, after their first scuffle, wanted nothing but humiliate him again most probably. What better validation than ordering him around. Nothing like that to affirm his superiority.
Then again, he did not really care about that. For all he cared, he could be put cleaning mud and other things the entire time he was supposed to amend for his behaviour. No, what he really cared about was excellence. He had been easily bested in combat. Something, up until now, he excelled at. He had been unable to even make the other guy break a sweat.
Never in his life, had he been so outmatched. Now that, was something he really took to heart.
It was probably due to his lack in magic use, now that he thought back at their fight. He ought to correct that. Another loss was not going to be tolerated. He would make sure about it. So he played along. In the end, being stuck as a servant for the would be Delthousin was kind of a blessing. Not only he could poke around his stuff to see if the guy was actually doing things under the table with Demi or not, but he could also find out more about his "master's" weaknesses. He really only meddled around in the World of the Living because of his curiousity around Lord Mizune and his relation to his siblings. It looked like he would need to make a detour and study Sol first. Kinda of a stepping stone.
In the end, if he would end up making Sol's training obsolete, then he could resume his own agenda. Right now, if there ever was one thing the void prince craved more than anything was just that. Perhaps his current fighting style was wrong. Attacking the conventional way did not seem to work at all. Though it would be a waste to throw away everything he had cultured up to now just because he failed. There would surely be something he could use it for. Perhaps...he could keep investing in conventional fighting styles only as a way to better defend himself. If he were to get a deeper understanding of the various patterns and attacks, it would be no biggie anticipating what was coming and counter accordingly.
Yeah, working on his defence that way would certainly be very useful while he worked out a new way to attack. Sadly, since Oykai decided to currently strip him of his royal rank and have him stuck with Sol, he would not be able to go snoop in the royal library for some ancient scrolls.
Oh well. One thing at the time. First, get this farce out of the way. Then, focus on the actual stuff.
