"... And you really think that it's absolutely necessary to place it this high up?", the one of the two Ambassadors of Dies Irae asked, seemingly speaking to himself, though Mars' answer would echo through his mind immediately, the deep, distorted cackle, as always, unheard by those around him. "Tse ... of course, old man! You have to display your spoils of war properly and with pride!". The silver-haired Rune Mage was, at current, attempting to remain in balance while standing on top of the tall ladder that leaned against the side of the throne hall, a somewhat tattered, yet intact banner in hand, trying to, with what he would call exceptional care, place it on the wall and make sure it would stay there. The idea to collect and display little trinkets and insignia from the dark guilds and groups they had defeated, "trophies", some might call it, had not been his own, of course, but he certainly understood the appeal and effect it would have not just on moral, but also the renown of Dies Irae. Psychology, of course, was part of warfare just as much as the soldiers or the weapons, and so, Johann von Weiss, God of Ishgar, did his best to place a banner bearing the symbol of a now forcibly "disbanded" dark guild in this space designated to hold these trophies in the Throne Hall, with somewhat meager levels of success. Mars, of course, found the idea absolutely hilarious, encouraging the man with every new thing added to this collection, his ever-giggling voice echoing through Joh's mind incessantly.
After a few minutes and some effort and delicate balancing, the banner just wouldn't quite remain straight, the man had done it, sighing as he descended the ladder and looked up. This was acceptable. "Acceptable? No, this is grandiose, my friend! I can't wait to go out and add more to the collection. Why don't we go for a quick mission and-". The Ambassador, not exactly fond of the idea to go out and hunt for trophies, cut the Second Seal off quickly. "Oh, I would love to, Mars, but as long as there is paperwork left I sadly have to remain within the confines of this very guildhall. Unfortunate, is it not?". Mars, somewhat disgruntled, replied swiftly, his tone disappointed, "You're a killjoy". Johann simply shrugged. Dressed in his Ambassador uniform, as he was most of the time these days, the man turned, intent on heading from the Throne Hall itself to one of the storage rooms in the West Wing to fetch the next banner. It was dull work, for sure, but something that the Ambassador himself would gladly do. Certainly, if he himself or even Sivvy, his fellow Ambassador, would do it, it would have even more of an effect to the members of his guild ... and the dark mages that caught word of this practice.

Training was no short, simple task when it came to Mia’s daily routine. Normally, it consisted of just normal target practice with her bow. However now, having her new weapon, melee training was also something she needed to work on. All her life, she was the long ranged fighter keeping her distance or having that range for those who might be too strong to fight unless a sneak attack was made first. Working on a good fighting style with something completely new to her was a very strange concept, but she was always the stubborn type and this time would be no different when it came to her life or the life of her guildmates. Still, the elven woman was going to try do this at least on her own. Worst comes to worst, she try and swallow her pride and ask for help, but that would need time.
A heavy swing was paused, causing her to flinch from the soreness of her arms from the hours so far in putting into her training in the last few days. The doors opening up created what she thought to be a loud creaking while she was nearby in the training hall. In the moment of her being caught off guard, the grip on her sword slipped and it dropped onto the floor before a sighing few words of distaste left her mouth in her elven tongue. Mia picked her weapon up and sheathed the weapon before he headed into the hall where she froze up rather quickly. Her eyes had to slowly make their way up as the titanous being that entered was at least twice the size of the bounty huntress herself, and she was just under 6 feet tall herself!
Stuck in a moment of shock, she had her mouth agape for a good minute before pushing it shut and collecting herself. Putting on a small smile, the elf approached the stranger and tried her best at least to keep from seeming hostile even without the compacted bow on her back and the sword at her side. ”W-Welcome, sir.” She greeted, looking up for a change... at least from that height and direction anyway. ”Is there anything I can do to help? I’m sure the ambassador will be around soon.”

And so, the Ambassador marched through the hallway towards the West Wing with a clear goal in mind, intending to stick to his own business when he came by a wide-open archway that led to another area on the compound of Dies Irae, spotting two figures in passing. One of the two was familiar, Mianala, a soldier of the guild, and one of them the God of Ishgar hadn't seen before ... or had he? For some reason, the honestly quite imposing form of the man seemed a little familiar, though he couldn't quite put his finger on where or when he could've seen him before. In any case, the man was towering over the girl easily, though despite the fact that this was the case, or perhaps because that was the case, seemed strangely out of place. A newcomer? Perhaps. The silver-haired Rune Mage couldn't be sure until he had inquired about it.
Johann sighed. It looked like he had to postpone his work in "decorating" the Throne Hall for a short while, pushing past the doorway and towards the two individuals. "Good Day, Miss Qinwynn. I see you're hard at work. Commendable", Joh offered the elven woman a friendly, polite smile, gesturing at the blade at her side. "And who might this be, a friend of yours, perhaps?". Joh turned towards the man, lifting his gaze up to meet that of the man that, by merit of his sheer height, easily reached higher than the Ambassador himself. "Or simply a new arrival? In any case, good man, I am Johann von Weiss, Ambassador of Dies Irae", the silver-haired man raised his right hand to his left shoulder, bowing forward slightly as he introduced himself. With the formalities out of the way, there was really only one thing left to ask. "So, who might you be, and, more importantly, what can Dies Irae help you with?"

Fairly enough, she wasn’t trying to seem rude to the guest in the hall of the guild. Her last intention was to try and set herself a little further down from when she had first joined. It was something that she had still had a bit of a sour taste in her mouth over. Trying to let that be brushed off from her conscious, Mia shut her trap and stood firm to her trying to be a more courteous welcoming committee. Thankfully so, it seemed the guest to the hall wasn’t all that upset or bothered by her reaction. Her guess was someone that size was used to it. ”I’m sorry about that look I gave. I’m used to being nearly the tallest person in a room, but I’m more than impressed.” Her arms folded at her chest, looking up to try and keep her attention focused on him rather than his size. He mentioned the fact that she had not known him already, which normally would have ticked her off immediately, but thinking logically about it, it made her chuckle a little bit. ”I’m.. not really from around here. The elves I had known were very self kept, didn’t really bother with anything that didn’t bother us.” She paused, letting a bit of steam exhale from her nose to keep the obvious annoyance of mentioning it quiet. ”My name is Mianala Qinwynn. You can just call me Mia if it’s easier for you, I have no qualms or issues either way.”
It was true. With her life primarily being called “soldier” or “Huntress”, being called by her given was always nice to hear. Of course, it never stopped her from having that innate response from years of strict regiments and routines. 30 years of it was very hard to break from overnight, but it was a day to day battle with her to try and keep from falling back into it. Things around the guild helped embrace her thought to expand out and essentially “overwrite” these old routines, but something told her there would always be a part of her that would be like that.
Her arms suddenly shot to their sides when the voice of Johann spoke up. Even with a simple greeting, Mia couldn’t help but have taken almost a militaristic form of a stand. She blinked several times, lost on what he was trying to allude to until she looked down where he eyed up, seeing the scimitar on her side. ”O-Oh, thank you, ambassador. I’m too used to a bow, and not turning the training area into a desert is not something I’m trying to do either.” She replied, placing one hand on the hilt while her body relaxed. Knowing now that she could just be a little more at ease, the elven woman gave a shrug and looked back to the guest as he asked her about him. He inquired about him having been a friend of hers, which frankly made her laugh. A friend was something that she really never had the luxury of having, but as he asked about joining, she slowly nodded her head in conformation. ”Yes, sir. He was looking to join. I hadn’t gotten much further than that at all before you arrived.”

"Mhm, I see", Johann's response was simple, but acknowledged the elven woman and the information she had presented to the Ambassador. "Thank you, Miss Qinwynn". So this man was seeking to join Dies Irae? It was not too much opf a surprise, in honesty. People came to the guild hall of Dies Irae for one of two reasons, either to join, or to offer the guild a contract on someone's head. It had become somewhat of a routine for the silver-haired Rune Mage at this point. The Ambassador nodded, turning to the newcomer, who strangely enough seemed to have shrunken from when the man had first laid eyes on him. Perhaps that was part of the others abilities? It certainly wasn't among the stranger things the Ambassador had seen in this world of magic and otherworldly phenomenons. In any case, the man, who now pulled back his hood, seemed like he was friendly enough, mannered, certainly, and Johann's expression formed a small, polite, welcoming smile as the other began speaking.
It seemed like the other knew Joh, or, at least, that was the conclusion he had drawn from the way the man addressed him before finally making his name known, Johann raising an eyebrow. "Ah, I see", the man nodded, the name "Hero Yamamoto" certainly ringing a bell. He vaguely remembered seeing him before when both worked for the same Company. The other certainly did stand out, at least, when his form was naturally imposing. Hero could easily be called a giant, considering his regular size that had now been adjusted to a somewhat more regular level. "In that case, Mr. Yamamoto, I welcome you to Amber Island and the Guild Hall of Dies Irae". The Ambassador let his gaze wander over the other's appearance for a few seconds, acknowledging the several scars and marks on him as a sign of experience as a fighter. The man would certainly fit in with the guild if what Joh saw was testament to his combat prowess. "Of course, the guild will accept you if you seek to join, though, out of curiosity ...", he would pause briefly, not making a secret of his interest in the man's words, especially what the other had mentioned at the end "... you mentioned your cousin. May I ask, Mr. Yamamoto, do I know of him? And, maybe more importantly, what was it that he started? Perhaps Dies Irae could assist you with your goals, if you would be content with sharing them with us, of course". The newcomer naturally didn't have to answer his question, it was a bit personal, after all, though the Ambassador found himself captured by genuine curiosity considering that the man had specifically brought this up as what Joh could only assume was his reason for joining the guild. It would be interesting to converse with this man, for sure.

Her brow couldn't help but be raised lightly as she had listened to him first off tell her that he liked her. Usually, the way that the elf spoke was what got her in trouble, however trying to adapt to actually caring for others was coming to her a little more than she had realized. Be it the natural need to adapt for survival or just a learning experience was beyond her. Still, having someone to have her back socially was a little nice. "I'm used to simply speaking the truth no matter the impact. Think of it more of efficiency over compassion. Not much of that went on in my lifetime. Yet, everyone here is much of a different shade of the rainbow when it comes to personality, so I had a bit of a crash course upon joining myself." Her folded arms tightened up again, almost as if cringing in the memory of the meeting she had when she came to try and join.
Mia's face seemed to flatten into a very obvious surprise. Watching Hero deflate almost as though he were some human balloon, though the name was lost on her on what one even was, she had waited until he settled down to be just slightly taller than her, letting her head retract to a much more fitting position. "I've heard the saying 'full of hot air', but never did I think it was actually true...." Well, it wasn't, but some things were better left to be learned in harder fashions. Still, her facial expression was very oblivious to what she'd just said aloud, showing just how out of tune to social ques she really was. With any hope it wouldn't be used against her, but it wouldn't be a such a bad thing for that to happen otherwise.
Fianlly, Johann seemed to step in and push to what she thought to be the point of the visit to the guild hall. Sure, the idle conversation was getting to be a little nice, however this was still not really much of a social club and therefore she wasn't going to be the type to treat as one either once she'd gotten whatever information she could from him. Something close to beating around the bush, but it would have helped her gain a bit more skill in things like analogies or play on words scenarios. But those things would most likely have to come in time. As she watched them beginning the conversation, the bounty huntress looked around for a moment, remaining quiet for a moments time to allow them to speak before she would chime in. "Pardon me, but I was going to get a drink to relax from the training, but if you two would like anything, I'm sure standing around would be a little less tenuous." She looked toward both males about in the room, wanting to give them time for any recommendations, preferences, or even a refusal before she would step off, allowing them to get down into more private, detailed information without the need of a normal member being around.
