It really was beautiful here. Nyx was truly entranced. Not only was she part of a guild, but she was on a flying city! She didn't even know this feat was possible - which made her wonder how much magic was involved. Probably more than she's ever seen used in her life.
Her steps on the bridge to the guild hall almost seemed insignificant compared to the sheer floating size of this place. Not only was it a flying city, it was huge too! Seriously, she needed to know how much magic ran this thing... But her reluctance was less a case of "curiosity killed the cat" and more a case of "the cat is damn lazy".
She'd have to get a guild tattoo, and she already knew where. A smug look came across her face. Flaunting was something she did both intentionally and unintentionally: she did occasionally seduce to get her way, but throwing herself out there was undignified and stupid. Nyx constructed an equilibrium of sexy, basically. Too much or too little and the cycle is thrown off. Too much and she risks a bad reputation, too little and it's harder to get what she wants, so Nyx strikes a balance that allows her to get both. It's complicated, really. Life is hard when you have the responsibility of flaunting your assets, you know. That, and the back problems. Those were a pain, too. Literally.
The doors were huge and golden, quite stunning really. She was impressed to say the least. Even being all high and mighty like the cat that she was, Nyx adored the nice and calm too. Maybe she could get stuck in one of these trees like she did when she was seven? For old time's sake.
Well either way she could just stand here, staring at the doors like a dumbfounded idiot, she had to push them open.
Push she did, and inside she stepped.
"Man, this place is big..."
