    Description:
        Forbidden even in lands where regular necromancy is perfectly allowed, Bakeneko’s Curse is very special and ancient magic which has originated in the East. Though not quite falling into the category of Lost magic, the Forbidden Necromancy can only be practiced by an actual Bakeneko, a cat yōkai with the power to naturally control the dead. Putting this ability as a focus of magic, it becomes a powerful ability which possesses deceased bodies. However, this is no different from regular art of necromancy. This magic’s true power lies within the ritual known as ‘Awakening’.

        If a corpse is awakened, the soul that once belonged to it is dragged back inside of the flesh and bones from the afterlife or even oblivion, while at the same time its freedom becomes completely restricted. In other words, the ritual allows the creation of an undead which can act and think for itself, though it's will completely belong to the Bakeneko. Once awakened, the undead cannot disobey its master unless given explicit permission to do so. This is why the curse is seen as forbidden almost everywhere and all Bakeneko who practice this type of magic are hunted down and slain when possible, sealed away when not.

        Kuro herself is not fully aware of this magic’s history, though she has no problem actually using it. In addition, she has learned how to manipulate the raw life force that flows through those awakened or even risen by this necrotic arts. Paired with sub-spacial magic of forgotten mists, she can summon her undead army at any point and to pretty much anywhere. And although she controls such powerful magical arts, she has so far been unable to truly reach its darkest depths because of her own physical shortcomings, as the girl is magically talented but very frail in her yōkai body.

    - Unique Abilities -

    Necromancer’s Ward
        Mages which rely on summoned creatures are often quite weak themselves. This is especially true with Kuro, as the girl is especially physically weak, both her total health and physical damage permanently decreased by 75%. However, she is extremely talented in ways of magic, especially summoning and defensive spells.

        Not only are all of her defensive spells 50% more durable, but she also obtains a permanent ward that can by default block up to 2 spells of her rank (160HP). However, if this defense is destroyed, the ward will start using HP of any currently active summons of Kuro to block any further attacks until no more summons are present. Only then will the girl be actually susceptible to attacks.

    Queen of Undeath
        As someone who is mastering the arts of resurrection and darkness, Kurome has become even more of a special existence than she already is. A new power swirls inside of her that allows her to use spells of all creatures she had summoned and are currently present on the field. However, doing so will count as the creature itself using the spell and thus it will still enter cooldown.

        Another effect of this new power appears to be an ability to self-resurrect. Though this takes a lot out of Kuro and cannot be done very often, she is capable of surviving lethal strikes. Her body will simply regenerate even the most brutal of wounds and the girl will awake once more. (Plot only, requires OOC permission from those in a thread where the ability is used.)

    Description: While the awakening ritual is a powerful ability that can permanently bind a deceased creature to a necromancer. However, this ritual takes a lot of time and energy, making it not very viable in combat. This is why the Bakeneko devised a lesser version which can awaken a deceased being temporarily. A corpse awakened though this power will scale to the spell’s rank and retain a single ability it had when alive. This ability cannot change until the summon is re-made and will always deal one type of damage along with one buff/debuff dependent on the acquired ability. If the corpse had no specific abilities, it will obtain a generic necromancer-based one. The scaling is as follows:

    Effect: No soul or body that has once perished is safe from the Bakeneko and their accursed magics. Using this spell, Kuro can forcefully invade the inner sanctum of a deceased body or a soul that has been separated from a living physical form, freely viewing their memories and knowledge. (PCs and NPCs of other players require OOC permission)

    Effect: Necromancy revolves around concepts of life force quite a great deal. Corpses simply cannot move without it, rendering the arts useless. And while not directly tied to the art of necromancy, Kuro had learned how to make herself far more sensitive to this energy. Upon activation, her eyes will glow crimson and veins of blood red magical energy will pulsate on her cheeks. In this state, the Bakeneko will be able to clearly see life energy of living beings, even through solid objects.

    Effect: Kuro can already warp her awakened to her location when needed, but she had learned how to utilise the sub-spacial forgotten mists for herself as well. Once per post, she can warp herself to anywhere up to 15 meters away. She also can use this power to warp her undead as well, though only by switching spots between two of her undead or an undead with herself.

    Effect: When in need, Kuro can quickly drain raw life force from any undead she might have currently summoned. This will naturally damage the summoned creature (30HP), but will also heal the girl for more than usual spells of this rank will be able to. (90HP)




    Name: Veil of Woe

    Effect: Cloak of Woe is a peculiar spell that covers the user in pure necrotic energy that will corrode anything that gets close enough. Due to the difference in small range and high speed, it becomes extremely difficult to deal with for those who wish to attack from close range. Not only that, the very same energy will coat any attacks of the user, increasing their damage by 55%

    Effect: Gathering as much necrotic magic inside of her as she possibly can, Kuro will release this attack and create a rather devastating explosion that will not only errode the bodies of those affected, but also forcibly tear out their souls. This effect counts as a stun as the souless bodies will be unable to move and the souls can return into them after one post. Those affected by this effect cannot be affected by it and other immobilization until at least one more post elapses.

    Effect: The stronger opponents Kuro has to face, the more she has to rely on her protective ward. Her frail body is simply too weak to be able to take any hits and survive, that is the reality of things. For this very reason, the bakeneko had spent a long time ensuring that the ward is as powerful as possible, increasing it's durability by aditional 50%.

    Description:
    Not your average corpse, the creatures of Ash are not of this world. Even Kuro herself doesn’t quite know where they came from, or what purpose they serve. All she knows that she had been given this corpse as a ‘gift’ when she left for Fiore. Finally powerful enough to perform the accursed rite of awakening, Artemis is bound to her will. Appearing as a floating torso of a reaper-styled knight with a scythe, Artemis will usually stick close to, if not right behind Kuro to aid her with melee attacks to anyone who gets far too close.

    Effect: The strike of Harvest with Artemis’ scythe creates a shock-wave in front of the knight. All hit by this freezing wave will only not get damaged, but a portion of their soul will also be torn out of their body and harvested by the knight. This will make the affected deal 45% less spell damage and 45% less physical damage.

    Effect: Focusing on a single opponent and quickly moving to it at the spell’s speed, Artemis slashes it’s victim and marks it for execution. Those with the mark will receive 90% more damage from all spells directed at them for the remainder of the duration, most likely assuring their complete obliteration.
