Hello people who felt like this was worth looking into, and thanks for taking the time to read up on it.
Somewhat Important to the writers:
Though you may disregard this in case you don't really give a crap about what I have to say personally, you may just skip the Italic portion and continue below. If not, thank you. I want to make it clear that, while I was here, I sometimes felt that it was hard to do certain jobs because I did not feel entirely connected with what they represented. That is why, for this Event idea, I placed a heavy focus on storytelling and world building. This way, everyone who takes part in it is aware of exactly what they are fighting, where they are taking part in a job, who they are trying to help and know where the hell they are. It is also the reason why two zones have been made to do these things in, and why they are both rather unique when compared to Fiore, as any Alternate Universe should be. If this turns out to be an idea people will like, Berg will be making a map for both of these zones so you will receive even more visual aid for this event. Now, please continue further down, and thank you for taking the time to go over this.
To keep things short (before going into more detail), I recently asked whether I could make this idea i've had for an event into reality. At the time, I was told that if it was something people liked, the event was fleshed out properly and the concept was good, that it would have a good chance of becoming an actual thing. So without further talk about such things, I want to tell you a little more about the idea itself.
P.S: Do keep in mind that the stuff I am sharing is only a small fraction of what has been created, seeing as how Berg is working on an actual map for the place and I more or less ended up creating an entire world, described the flora and fauna one could encounter and made specific jobs one can take here. But so as to not spoil all of it, I just put up some bits and pieces below. All so you can make a more informed decision.
The Event Setting:
The event setting itself involves us, the mages of Fiore, and invites us into a strange portal that has opened up within a hidden ruin in Sakuramori. From there, a strange plant man has come forth, asking for help. Because this portal only rarely opens itself up and only remains open for several days, these plant people took the risk of coming to us and inviting us into their world to help them restore the balance that has recently been disturbed by unseen forces.
The event itself would feature a filled bar, one i've dubbed the "Corruption Meter". This shows how much corruption there is within the Greenscape, which is something we would be fixing up slowly by doing specifically made "Jobs" within the place. The more jobs we do as a collective to help out this world towards restoring the balance, the closer we get to emptying the meter down to 0 (or an otherwise respectable level) and gain a collective reward in the process.
As i've said before, the event would be heavily focused on storytelling, meaning those participating in the event are pretty much aware of one another as we venture into this world as a sort of exploration team, a special task force sent in by the Magic Council of Fiore to fix what needs fixing before we can head back home to our own world (with our rewards, personal plot, knowledge of other player characters and more ofcouse).
P.P.S: Keep in mind that, while you will be rewarded for your actions within this place (The Greenscape), the event is heavily focused on storytelling and world building. It is for this reason that characters who choose to get involved are considered either Good guys or Neutral/Grey due to the nature of the event.
P.P.P.S: Because I imagined this event to be something that we'd do in two parts, I am only describing the first part of it. Based on how this goes, I might try putting up the second part after the first gets rounded up properly.
