Name: Warden Azraleth
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Birthday: 4th April
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
Personality:
There are two sides to Warden’s personality: the apparent cheerful, friendly and playful young man and his dark passenger – a mixture of repressed emotions and memories as well as an everlasting evil which resides within him.
Be it a simple meal or a random chit-chat he sees it all as part of the joys of life. Often he can be found roaming the streets, beaches, forests and/or parks completely void of thought, simply enjoying his surroundings – sounds, smells, sights, tastes and other sensations. He is positively one of the few people who can enjoy everything and anything to its fullest no matter what the circumstances are. This fact also makes him something of an optimist. Warden’s almost constant positive attitude towards almost anything makes him see the bright side of anything, supplying him with vast seas of motivation. It is almost impossible to discourage him or force him to lose his temper – NOTHING can annoy him.
Positivity and joy – A result of these two aspects is Warden’s friendliness. Always with a smile he greets everyone with a cheerful “Hello!” and helps those in need if he is close by. Always kind and caring it is hard to dislike him. Whether it be an old cynic, a bratty child or foul-tempered middle-aged man they all come to like him in the end. Basically he is the kind of person that walks into a funeral and cheers everyone up.
Friendly, happy, positive and likable…a perfect gentleman – or so it may appear. In the end Warden’s character comes down to his love for messing with people. Be it scaring them, covering them in slime or deceiving them. Mischief is his specialty. And in it, he sees no bounds. Be it a guild master, officer of the military or even a government official once you’re in his sights you will become a victim. Especially if you have manage to get on his bad side – which in itself is almost a place of lore – you will feel the full brunt of his devious wrath. But it is this playful side of him that makes him great with children. Now I wouldn’t say that he is a good father figure, but he would make a pretty good one. It’s just the women that he “strikes out” with. He isn’t trying anyway, but let’s just say that the only relationship with a woman that could have would be that of a caring, supportive, jolly and child-like F.R.I.E.N.D.
“There is nothing in this world that comes without sacrifice” – despite Warden’s usual attitude these words escape his lips at times. No matter how cheerful a person may seem there is always something else on the inside. In this case it is an entity, an alternate Warden Azraleth that he calls his “dark passenger”. It is an amalgam of repressed emotions and an unexplainable evil. Over his short 17 years Warden has lived through more than your average teenager from famines, to pests and even complete massacres. So what can a kid do to mentally survive? Simply forget – Warden simply avoids any thought about the events of his past and thusly avoids any negative emotion; he lives only in the present. Whenever he remembers any event he falls into a deep depressive state and becomes serious and easily agitated.
But that is only the surface of the “dark passenger”. Its true form is that of rage, hate and despair – a being that basks in the suffering of others and death. He only comes out when Warden is near death or when the emotions hate, anger and sadness are strong. The “dark passenger” uses those moments of weakness to gain control over the body. Once this happens a ruthless and sadistic murderer comes into existence, relentless in its pursuit of destruction and despair. Its ultimate goal is the subjugation of all around him.
Likes:
There are four basic essentials that Warden simply cannot live without:
1. Mischief, Warden’s own personal humor. It’s his way of expressing his love or disdain for anyone and of course his greatest hobby. He especially loves to cause trouble for city guards and the magic council.
2. Warden, though unapparent in his appearance, is a glutton. He loves to eat and the more exotic the food the more he wants to eat it.
3. He likes to walk around in parks or empty streets at night. It bring him a sense of calm and serenity that remains unexplainable to this day.
4. Nighttime is the best time for Warden. There is just something about the bright moon, the sparkling stars and the rhythmic chirping of grasshoppers that bewitches him. He can often be found sleeping under an open night sky in a softly swaying hammock.
5. Trains…There is no specific reason Warden likes trains but he does. He becomes something of a child the moment he enters on and cannot stop staring out the window with amazement.
Dislikes:
1. If there is one thing he hates it is sadness. His past filled with it, Warden will do anything to turn a frown upside-down.
2. One way to get on Warden’s bad side is to wake him up from a deep sleep. Though usually not grumpy even with lack of sleep he will kill you if you wake him.
3. Cats are his most hated animal. He finds them too annoying leaving hair and fur balls everywhere. And their incessant screeching at night…merely thinking of it send chills of horror down his spine.
Motivations:
1. Warden wishes to bring necromancy into society. He wishes for it to be accepted by society, no longer viewed as a power of evil but simply for what it is – a hereditary force that certain people learned how to use.
2. At some point in his life Warden wants to deal with his past. Though it may be too painful now he wishes to face his demons and the unexplained evil that lurks within. For that he seeks guidance, guidance from a force that no man has been able to comprehend – Life.
3. His one true goal for life is to simply live and enjoy every little aspect. It is his moral, his law, his oath.
Fears:
1. Wardens greatest fear is to succumb to his “dark passenger”. He fears what it may do with the power he possesses. Unsure of what will happen to himself in this event, it is the sole thing that he cannot overcome.
2. His father was a tyrant and treated Warden more like a science experiment than anything else. Even now that man roams his nightmares, tormenting him in his sleep.
3. Death had always followed in Warden’s wake. He realized that even as a child and soon he hated human contact. Once he was taken into the necropolis it stopped and ever since Warden has feared its return.
