    Midsummer Festival,
Terra Ignis. That was where she wanted to go. ‘Wanted to’ being the key words. She didn’t get too far. She was in Shirotsume rather than Terra Ignis, and there seemed to be something going on here that seemed a good deal more interesting than seeing about some old dude putting some laws in around that old town she was going after. Before she left the castle, she requested for Bertrand to go off and find one of her guild members, but when he came back to her, he told her he requested two of them to accompany her, even though she was going to be taking the twins with her. Saraphina figured that whoever her servant had gotten to join her, would be plenty to accompany her. She was a bit too excited to leave when she had, and left her guild mates behind, she had only waited a little bit for her guild members to show up. Whoever came, was who came with her on her polar bear.

Currently, she was giggling as she was standing outside of the city that seemed adorn in various decorations across every building. The curiosity got the best of the white queen as she got close, and she made her way into the city, leaving Tỳr to wait outside for her for the time being. She just might want to crush the place like she had to Moabay Village. Today felt a bit odd to her though… She was feeling a weaker weaker magically. She hadn’t felt anything like this… ever. Or at least since she had gone to the Neutral Grounds and gotten herself her iLac. She never did use that thing anyways. Maybe she should try using it. She then looks over her shoulder to see where the twins were. Both of the black haired siblings were behind her, Nadaline holding her hands in front of her, while Bertrand stood up straight while following their mistress. “Is there a problem, your majesty?” Nadaline questions as she holds her chin up. Saraphina smirks as she looks to the city. “No, nothing is wrong… I just think I want to see what’s going on here…” She muses as she sees something out of the corner of her eye. There were shops in the distance in what seemed like the square, and they had some shiny object just waiting there to be viewed by others. Her attention was instantly grabbed as she makes her way into the city more.

The festival seemed to be spread all across the city. Shops opened with the midsummer themed products, foods, and little games for children to play. The closer she got to the center of the city, the more games she was able to see that were being set up. “What… what is this?” She questions as she started seeing more of the stalls she had noticed earlier. Her eyes lit up as she saw a jewelry stall with a bunch of shiny jewels on display. Of course… she needed it.

Sounds, music, laughter... it was all a bit much for the clown. Something deeply disturbed within the red-head fellow was stirring. A nostalgic feeling layered with misery and rage. It was boiling, boiling under his skin like a thick layer of hate. He had only been tagging along at his Queen's request, riding on the back of the familiar polar bear. He was dressed a little fancier today, having made an interesting new outfit that took his fancy. Purple trousers and a matching waistcoat, a white shirt underneath. A giant black bow-tie decorated with various card suits in red. To top off the look, he had a fancy black top hat, and a half-mask, of red and gold, modelled after his precious harlequins.

Yet as they travelled, the familiar sound reached his ears. The aura around him would thicken slightly, radiating with malicious intent. Kill, kill, kill. He wanted it so badly; he needed it. Somehow, a small rationale in his mind would prevent this spiral of rage. He would watch quietly, hopping off of  Bear-bear. He would follow his queen into the festival. His movements stiff, robotic as though severely restrained. She was, of course, eying up a stand of jewels. Like a magpie, it was not unreasonable to expect that his Queenie had a tendency to be attracted to 'shiny things'.

    Kill, Kill, Kill.

The thoughts were getting more intense, the sound of a laughing child passing sent a tingle of emotions through the clown. He wanted nothing more than to grab the brat and snap its neck in two. His golden eyes grew hazy, almost as though a red shimmer was beginning to glaze over. He could feel it; he was losing control. Any second now, he would disappear, unleashing the monster within. He moved to the stand near the one his Queenie was admiring, his hands flexing and unflexing repeatly as he approached the gaming booth. A man in his forties was standing in front of an open barrel, several apples bobbing along the surface of the water.

"Hey there fella, nice suit you got there, fancy a turn? Only a hun-"

Jester would lunge, ploughing himself head first into the water, gripping onto the sides of the barrel desperately as he emersed himself into its icy-cold contents. He would stay there for a time, appearing to do nothing.

"Hey mister, mister! Come on now; you're going to drown yourself." The man would grab for him in an attempt to pull him out. Jester would thrust his palm out suddenly, using the edge of his palm to wack the man in the throat. Causing him to reel back, wheezing desperately, all the while the clowns head remained submerged in the water.

Post by Arkadi Azarov 24th June 2019, 4:07 am

It wasn't that Birch was against happiness and fun, he just didn't really enjoy being stuck in the middle of it. He was the more serious sort, finding most of this immature and beneath him. The blonde was in a race to regain his former strength and glory. He didn't have time to entertain such childish notions as a Summer Solstice festival...wait. Summer Solstice? Was it that time already? How far had he fallen that he, a celestial firebird being, hadn't noticed the position of the very god he worshipped in the sky? Stormy gray eyes shifted to the glowing orb that sustained life on the planet, confirming its position. Oh, now this really put him in a sour mood. He'd been drawn to accompany this group of miscreants, and now he'd be doing so in a weakened state. In fact, he was somewhat certain none of his magic was working at all. How dreadful. Every bit of today would be absolutely pointless. Folly. He hated folly.

As he skulked along behind the rest of his Errings Rising group, the sharply dressed man held himself to a more dignified standard despite how ill he was feeling. Never would he angle his head down to examine any of the nonsense around him. No, he'd merely side-eye it with his dark and brooding gaze, appraising it and judging whatever it was harshly. For example, a young teen was nearly drowning herself bobbing for apples to his left. One scathing glare later, she'd forgotten about the apples and was simultaneously enraptured with him and in tears simply from making eye contact. Suffice to say she lost the game. In this foul mood, that pleased him just a little.

The small spark of satisfaction was ruined by a commotion three barrels down. Birch's hawk eyes narrowed and darted down, unfortunately recognizing that tacky getup. It seemed one of his guildmates had decided to end it all right here, in a barrel of watery apples no less. What did he call himself? Joker? It didn't matter, Birch had no intention of interfering. It had nothing to do with him, nor would it benefit him in any way. The blond thought that perhaps their leader, the so-called queen, might pull her daft, punchy underling from his potential death, but when he looked for her he only spotted white between two dark heads looming around some worthless jewels dressed up to get some quick cash. His gloved hands slid into the pockets of his sleek black slacks, intent on watching where this would lead...or at least hanging aloof and out of the way until they could get on with what they were originally trying to do.  Or not. Honestly, nothing he could do today would bring him closer to the strength he desired, so he was just waiting to go back to the castle. If he'd had his magic he'd just have flown or teleported back, but he was SOL. Also, feeling weak like this made the walk back seem impossible, so riding that accursed bear back was somehow the better choice.

    Midsummer Festival,
Saraphina had been pleased once again to see her favorite jester dressed up in something new. It was just as fancy as his other outfit, but it was different. She honestly couldn’t deny that she enjoyed seeing him dressed like so. When they had arrived at the festival, she didn’t think anything of it and hadn’t paid much attention to Jester. Nadaline and Bertrand did though. They noticed his stiff movements, and were keeping a slight eye on him as they walked a distance behind their queen. While she was admiring the jewels, Saraphina heard a splash and looked over to see Jester being touched by one of the workers here while his head was dunked under the water of an apple bobbing tub.

“Miss, he hasn’t been acting like himself since we got here.” Nadaline mentions quietly. The white haired queen looks over to Jester, then the jewels, then back at Jester. He wasn’t coming up. She looks to the jewels and picks up one of the necklaces that she had spotted that seemed nice. She handed it to Nadaline to hold before she walks over to Jester and taps him on the shoulder. She believed he wouldn’t try to harm her, and felt that there was nothing to fear. “Jester~! You getting me one of the best apples in there?” She giggles as she stood close to his side. She hadn’t paid any mind to the worker, her thoughts on making sure her jester was fine, and the jewelry not too far from her. “If you want to be dunked under water, the dunk tank is not too far from here~! But I command you to not harm yourself… who else can I play with when people are being mean to me?” She pouts as she crouches next to him. Her purplish pink eyes sparkling for a moment. She lifted her head to see where the other member had been. As she had done so, a thought came across her mind as she quickly shoots up and clapped her hands together a bit. “Oh~! Lets have fun today~!” She declares rather loudly.

The jewelry stall vendor noticed something was missing finally, and started to look angry. “Hey! Miss! Give back that necklace you just stole!” He cried out. “You have to pay for that!” Saraphina just looked at him like he had ten heads, before she puts her hands together and laid her cheek on the back of one of her hands and giggles. In all reality, she didn’t notice she stole anything, paying for it wasn’t something she did. “I don’t really know what you’re talking about. Must be those fire sprites doing it~!” She giggles as she had noticed four little sprites running about. They were going around starting little fires, and Saraphina found it good luck as it cleared a lot of the people out, but it made the vendors start to try to protect their stuff. She frowns as she puts her hands on her hips. She seemed to watch the fires that started while the sprites danced about and seemed to be giggling as they did so.

She turned her attention away from the sprites, enjoying the chaos that they were causing for now. She was hoping Jester had removed himself from the tub while she went over to the other member who accompanied her. “Please, remind me your name again?” She asks as she smiles up to him, showing her sharp teeth. He was about a foot taller than her, but she didn’t seem to mind. “You don’t seem to be having fun. Why not relax and enjoy yourself?! I’m sure you’d find something that is fun~! Like maybe…” She let her wide eyes trail around them, and gasped towards one of the games. A ring toss. “Why not win yourself something fun~?” She cheekily giggles. Her servants were a bit hesitant behind her as they were being cautious of the flames as they started to grow wider. She looks over to them before sighing and holding up her hand, letting her fingers wiggle as she spoke the spell. “Aegir.” The water started to swirl around with the little dance her fingers did and was making its way towards the fire. It was actually a bit of a struggle right now as she felt weak using the water on the fire to queel her servants anxieties. At least they weren’t running away like the rest of the people.

    Kill...Kill.. Ki...

It seemed the thoughts would slowly subside, the red haze that had threatened to overcome him fading away. Distantly he could hear the muffled sound of his Queenie's voice, giggling nearby. After an curious amount of time past, Jester's head would emerge from the water, his flaming red hair clinging to his scalp. An shiny red apple in his mouth. Like a lost deer he would turn his head to and fro, looking around in a doe-eyed manner. As though he hadn't just been about to savagely massacre everyone here. He would reach up, taking the apple out of his mouth. Moving away from the still wheezing vendor, his golden eyes found his Queen who had wandered over to the blonde fellow. Jester recognised him from the opening day of the guild, a quiet invidual, who seem to keep to himself. He hadn't done anything especially exciting, but he was quite the pretty portrait of a man. With a face like that, Jester could only imagine was fascinating expressions he could make; pain, hate, angiush. Would they still look so pretty? His curiousity was peaked. He would casually offer the apple to his Queen, as though it had been his intention all alone.

Perhaps the water had done something to calm him down, or perhaps it was the fact that the festival seemed much less like a festival now. What with all these creatures flying around and people running in terror from this fires they were creating. Ahh yes, this was better. Much better. As Jester rejoined the group, watching as his queen would put out the fires. He turned to his Queenie, a wide smile on his face, almost child-like in it's enthuisiasm. "Are we here to play Queenie?" He would ask excitedly, trailing along beside her as they wandered through the streets. His golden eyes found a curious looking stall, he wandered over, his face lighting up in excitement. As he perused the Ring Toss, the vendor who was cowering behind the countedr, peeked up at him. "I wanna play!" Jester chirped excitedly. The vendor looked at him as though he was insane, glancing around at the few sprites still remaining. "Sure, just as soon as you get rid of those monsters setting everything alight! I'll give you as many free goes as you and your friends want!" Jester's face split into a wide smile, he flicked his wrists and cards appeared around him out of nowhere. Flying in every which direction, they would hunt down the fire splits and cut them in two. It didn't take long before they were gone, carved in two by his magical cards. He slammed his hands down on the counter, "As many turns as we want." He repeated back to the man, a delighted excitement in his eyes.

"Birch," the tall blond answered curtly, staring down into that sharp-toothed face with his average level of disdain tugging at his handsome features. He was possibly the most reserved of the wacky guild, and he often questioned his own motives for remaining with them. He'd made no great strides at all to reclaim what he lost; his power nor his status. If anything, the only thing keeping him in place was his newfound hatred for Fiore and how it worked. In fact, all of Earthland left a sour taste in his mouth. However, as much as he wanted to go back to his homeland, he wasn't yet ready. There was much work to be done.

Fun. All these two talked about was fun. They were like undisciplined children! The guild master was suggesting, nigh insisting on him having fun. Win a prize. What good would that do him? "I'm not looking for cheap prizes," he huffed, stormy eyes sharp with irritation. He followed along behind the other two as they frolicked off to enjoy the rapidly emptying festival. The flames around him on some of the tents from the fire sprites did not scare him. If anything, he was jealous. Once he had powers like that, of flame and light, darkness and ice, the push and pull of the galaxy. Seeing the fire made his veins ache like a stomach that was empty too long. Birch wanted to run to the sprites and squeeze them until they gave him their power, but of course, before he could act on it Jester had simply downed them all in favor of unlimited ring tosses. Really?

Fed up with this asinine event, the out-of-place man started to stalk away and back toward the guild. It'd be a long walk, but he was more inclined to spend his time doing that than this. He didn't get far, though. Only a few steps, actually. "DOWN WITH WINTER!" a warcry rang out ahead of him. A woman stepped from behind a tent, promptly setting it on fire. "LONG LIVE SUMMER!" a man joined her, vaporizing another tent and possibly a few vendors with a beam of light. They seemed intent on seeding panic and destruction, and on that front Birch could care less. However, their elements were enticing. His veins ached again. The weakness in his body throbbed like a heart low on blood. Likewise, they seemed drawn to him. Without realizing it, both had a fixed point they intended to reach, and that was Birch, who stood waiting for them. Just like that, they entered into battle.

Two on one wasn't good odds, especially when two were decent mages and one had no magic. Perhaps surprising to any who attempted to know him, Birch was quite capable with just his finely trained body. The summer-worshipping pair relied too heavily on their spells, leaving them open to physical attacks. His grace made it seem like he danced around them, landing kicks and punches where openings arose. He tricked them into hitting each other with spells. He knocked out the supports under a tent he lured them into, trapping them like fish in a net. Then, like a wolf on its dinner, Birch advanced on them. Cutting the tent open over one of the wriggling victims, his now ungloved hand whipped out. There was a small black hole in his palm that now situated over the light mage's face. As the mage screamed, Birch relieved him of his element. As the body shriveled in his grasp, the woman wriggled her way free of the tent and watched in horror. "Hugo, no!" she lamented, only drawing attention to herself. Done with this 'Hugo', Birch rose and advanced on the remaining injured mage. She crawled like a worm from a bird, and within seconds he placed his knee in the middle of her back to keep her still and to push the air from her lungs. Sometimes the screams were okay, but at this point it was just annoying. Placing his hand on the back of her head, he sucked in her fire element, closing his eyes and leaning his head back in ecstasy.

After a few moments, he rose from the shriveled corpse, rolling his shoulders, cracking his neck, and flexing his fingers as if he hadn't been able to move in a long time. "Oh...now this is what I was looking for..." an invigorated Birch grinned, looking more lively than he had since he'd arrived at Errings Rising.

Summer Fun (Midsummer event with Jester and Birch) Empty Re: Summer Fun (Midsummer event with Jester and Birch)

Post by Saraphina 4th July 2019, 11:14 pm

    Midsummer Festival,
When Jester came back up with an apple, Saraphina let up an excited gasp. She was happy that had gotten her an apple like she requested. After he handed it to her, she held it in her hands gingerly before she took a bite out of it. She looks over to the blond as he told her his name, giggling once again as he introduced himself in a sense. “Don’t look so sad, c’mon! We’re going to have some fun here afterwards and take care of that one village not too far from here~! Put our lovely mark over it to show that we’re not accepting of the rules.” She purrs as she holds the apple to her lips once again. The white haired queen tapped the sides of the apple delicately while holding it with her palms of her hands. Jester questioning their reasoning for being here got her smiling. “Here? Yes! I want to have some fun before we destroy that village, Terra Ignis. Because the gods only know that the man whos there probably was going to succeed with his stupid laws by the time we got there.” She waved her hand a bit as she shrugged her shoulders.

Clearly, she felt the village was no big feat, but it’d be something big still regardless. As Birch said he wasn’t looking for a cheap prize, she pouts a little. “Who said the prizes had to be what they were offering?” She was trying to not giggle* now as she turns on her heels. She giggles as she watches Jester go off to start playing ring toss, peering over at the prizes. Did she want one? She wasn’t sure. She blinked as he went and took care of the pixies as they were having fun, and pouts. “Should have let them terrorize the place.” She shrugs. She had only made the pixies wet before to calm her servants so they could listen to her like they were supposed to, though, they were seeming like they were trying to go after her before she soaked the cretins. This game didn’t seem like it was too much fun anymore now that they had ‘free turns’ to play out of it…

She looked away and noticed that Birch was going off away. She pouts and quickly goes after him. When she caught up with him, she noticed the two mages and grips her hands together a bit. Down with winter?! Yeah right! Over her dead body! She was about to go and give them a piece of her mind, but they started going up to Birch instead. Curiosity got the best of her as she watched them start to fight. A grin grows on her face as she moves herself to sit on a bench nearby to watch the fight. She crossed her ankles over one another, and placed her hands together on her knee. Her eyes were shining as she watched how gracefully he fought these two numbnuts and found herself starting to lean forward a bit while she watched. Her head begins to tilt as he put his hand on the mans head and made him scream. What exactly did her member do? The curiosity was going to kill her. He apparently repeated it with the woman too. She taps her chin a bit, but she felt he was slightly different now.

The white queens’ lips curled into a rather devilish grin as she slowly stood up, clapping her own gloved hands to the show as she started to step forward. “So this is what was being hidden from me…?” She mused as she smiled. “Did you have fun? I’m glad you silenced them though! They seemed like they were party poopers!” She puts a finger on her cheek as she sticks her tongue out slightly. “Care to show me more of this power you possess?” Peering past Birch, Saraphina spies another game. She gasped and reached out to grab his arm a bit. “Would you want to play the Strength Hammer game?!” She didn’t really give him time to answer her question, as she started to attempt to drag him behind her. Towards the strength game anyways. Somewhere off at the other end of the festival, the music seemed to be getting louder as the events over at their end didn’t affect them. She glanced up to the sky a bit, noticing that the sun was reaching high noon. Something green and yellow caught the corner of her eye as she made her way towards the game, with or without Birch. Her attention is immediately grabbed and her head turns toward it just as a creature came crawling out of it. “Excuse me?” She questions as she was already tired of this festival having creatures and wackos just pop out. She wanted to play the games! The creature that came out was rather tall, and was mixed with a man and beast.

He spies the two of them and seemed to come charging at them. Without even thinking, Saraphina raised her left arm and yells; “Brunnhilde!” Down her arm and all the way to her feet is instantly covered in Armor. Her once white dress seeming missing as she was in golden armor without a helmet. She raised her arms and was crashed into by her. She made a growling face as she stumbled back a bit. Like hell was she going to be shoved around. She twiddled her fingers a bit and the water shot at this creature, but it seemed to just bounce off of him. She blinks as she didn’t understand for a moment. He was being his arm he had crashed into her with a bit though. Her armor had lit up on it, and seemed to burn him some when he touched her. A grin forms on the white queens’ face again as she holds her hand out once again. “Thrud!” She howls out and the hilt of a sword was suddenly in her grasp. A moment later, the blade flashed out, completing the sword and seeming ready to be wielded.

“I don’t like people hurting me…” She simply says as she giggles. “Would you like to try again? I can promise I won’t be the one down and losing.” She held her sword rather limply, acting as if she never held one before in her life. Her lack of even trying to take a defensive or offensive position made her seem like she was a great target. But the purplish pink eyes had a special gleam to them as she starts to grin. She had held up her sword and at least manages to graze the fast creature as she throws out her fist as well. Despite her usual attire of white dresses and having others fight more in her steed, she had learned how to properly fight with her fists and with weapons. Having dedicated a decent bit her life to her gods growing up, she needed to make sure she did for some of the powers they blessed her with. She also needed to show her power.

Her lips curled into a rather wicked smile, showing her teeth yet again. “Didn’t I say I don’t like people hurting me?” She giggles as she turns her head slightly. She was playing with this guy. Knowing at least Jester would appreciate it. She was slightly wondering if Birch would come in instead and have his fun with her with this goat thing. She’d enjoy that. She raised her arm and pointed her sword at the creature, light shining brightly from the sword before five more were floating around her. The creature should of been blinded from that, now she simply had to wait to see if he’d attack her again.**

Jester would overhear the name that the man offered the Queen; Birch. Birch...like wood or a tree. It was an interesting name but not a very exciting one to the clown. As they walked along, he would ponder the options for a new name to give the man — something more playful on the tongue; willow, pine, maple. The list would grow disturbingly large. As his queen agreed that they were here to play, the clown would nod enthusiastically, which was a disturbingly quick change of pace considering how he'd been willing to slaughter the entire carnival only moments ago. The clown didn't pay attention to the remainder of the conversation between his Queenie and the Tree man, for he would become distracted by the Ring toss and runoff. As he won the free games, he would turn to see if they had joined him. Only to find that neither of them could be found. Distantly he would hear a commotion like someone yelling in protest. He would snap his fingers, and a Harlequin doll would appear by his side. He would send the doll instruction before turning to the game. "Teeheehee~ Time to play!" He chirped excitedly.

The Harlequin would wander towards the sound that its master had heard. Despite being a robot, it's movement were remarkably fluid. Those who passed it assumed it was some part of the festival, and extra from some act or performance. The Harlequin would soon come across the scene that unfolded. There were those who were protesting the Winter and setting things ablaze, challenging the blonde haired guildmate of its master. It would not move to assist or show any reaction. Instead, it would simply stand a distance away, becoming eeriely still. The only movement, the slight tweaks and turns as it adjusted its gaze to follow the movements of the tree man. The man would take down the fire mages with exceedingly impressive skill, using hand to hand combat as opposed to any magic. The Harlequin would move a few steps more to watch further as the man lured them into a tent.

Then he would do something very unexpected. Through the eyes of his Harlequin doll, Jester would witness something curious. The man would do something would his hand, and the man would shrivel up, as though the life was sucked out of him. Then he would do something similar to the woman, pinning her with his knee. Jester would eye the man's expression curiously, the look that the man had significantly different from the bored, stoic one he usually wore.  It was a face Jester recognised in himself and standing in front of the stall still a great distance away. His eyes would glow with manic delight, and he would lick his lips. "Oh my..." He purred to himself, "How delicious."

The stall only who had been staring at him wearily blinked in confusion. "Sir... you've had fifty-six goes now, you've won our biggest prize...surely you are bored?!" He whined, Jester said nothing, reaching for another ring. He would he giggle to himself, "Yes... I think I'll call him Oakey." He said, before tossing another ring into the air.

The doll would continue to follow from a distance as the Queen moved along, heading over to another game. Only to be interrupted by a new beast, a large, horned monster of sorts. The Queen was hit for the creatures attack but had been able to summon an armour in time to protect herself. The would quickly engage into another fight scene, only this one including the Queen. Much to Jester expectations, she would be confident in her ability to take it. It was then that the Harlequin doll would vanish, and in its place stood Jester. As he was before, only this time holding a giant sack full of prized teddies, and under his arm was a life-sized polar bear toy. Not as big as Bear-Bear but close enough. Around Jester his cards would appear, dancing in the air in anticipating. He would tilt his head and the cards would fly towards the creature, attacking it like a horde of wasps. They would slash and slice at the beast, the monster seemed to take a surprising amount of the attack. Jester would straighten his head and the cards would move away. Stopping in their attack and hovering at the ready. He of course wanted to give his guildmates room to play with it a little more aswell. Seeing as that seemed to be what his Queenie was doing.

Summer Fun (Midsummer event with Jester and Birch) Empty Re: Summer Fun (Midsummer event with Jester and Birch)

Post by Arkadi Azarov 9th July 2019, 5:10 am

Light and fire crackled over Birch's skin and hair once he stood, a wicked smile playing at his lips. He felt more complete than he had in a long while. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to wait until the winter solstice to regain the other elements of his natural magical abilities. The hollow pit in his gut was no long gnawing. He might have even cackled if a presence nearby hadn't made herself known. It was the woman at least. Thankfully not the clown. That'd have ruined the first spark of joy he'd had in ages.

Since he was feeling quite euphoric, the man was far more amicable than usual and allowed himself to be tugged along by the self-appointed White Queen. His expression had lost some of its formerly excited edge, though there was a small, satisfied smile on his face. That wasn't to say he was satisfied. No, he wanted far more power than this. But reigniting the flame was a step up from powerless nothingness, so he'd take his win for the moment. Who knows. Maybe the butler would even play this Test of Strength game the nearly colorless woman next to him wished him to play. Birch knew this entire scenario was a fluke, but the more superstitious part of him wondered if she stuck with this somewhat annoying pair would he happen across some more delicious magic to feed on.

Before any games could commence, another threat arrived. Intense interest flashed in his eyes, hoping for some more delicious fire or light, but alas, the thing didn't seem interesting at all. Just an oversized man-beast on a rampage. He side-stepped as it tried to ram the pair, already feeling bored with it. To his surprise, though, the frilly maiden suddenly donned armor and a sword. Blond brows shot up slightly. So...she wasn't just a crown-wearing damsel with questionable taste in company and transportation. Birch simply observed at first, wanting to see his leader in action. Well, not that he'd ever think of her as his superior with any authority over him, but he had joined her guild, one where she somehow reigned without being fought for the position every waking moment. Watching was good enough for him until Jester appeared, joining in the battle. The garish man got on every single one of Birch's nerves, but he couldn't deny the clown's infuriating strength. Now that he was feeling better, he might as well join in with his two guild mates, right?

From his observations, the beast didn't cast a care toward magical attacks. A shame, since he was itching to see just how much of his magic had returned, but he was more than capable of handling it with physical combat alone. Perhaps it was the rush of the elements in his veins, but Birch's movements were a bit less refined and elegant. The tall man returned the attempted ramming from earlier, catching the furry intruder by the middle. With impressive strength, he hoisted the large thing up and bent backward, taking it with him and slamming the beast's head into the ground as his body arched back but remained out of contact with the dirt. Releasing his dazed enemy, Birch then somersaulted back to his feet and unleashed a bevy of harsh kicks with his superbly polished, black, double monk strapped loafer into his foe's torso and face. Once it seemed the creature was at least unconscious, he placed a sharp-edged heel on its throat and looked between the other two with him. "Do either of you want to do the honors?"
