Personality:
Daichi is a carefree, simple-minded and a curiosity-driven individual. He has a straightforward way of thinking, always taking things head-on without thinking of the consequences which can be pretty much annoying most of the time. Whenever he sets his sights on something, he'll go ahead and try to take it even if other people turn him away from it especially if his curiosity starts taking over him. His eager-beaver behavior makes it pretty easy to find things that interest him since he is pretty much interested in everything that doesn't appear every now and then. His simple way of thinking and curious point of view often leads him into traps, a strange habit that can be seen as a running gag every now and then. Another one would be that he always does things in an absent-minded way such as eating without knowing or coming into a house with no purpose doing so. His simple-minded way of thinking also affects the way he sees other people, in and out of combat. He always sees someone as a friend once they do something good for him even if that person doesn't think the same way. He can easily forgive his enemies just as long as they haven't done anything heartless such as killing one of Daichi's loved ones or greatly hurting the people he loves. Whenever he does something wrong and messes up, he is quick to apologize even if his pride is at stake which makes it very hard to get angry at him.
Daichi is a fearless and courageous young man. Any challenge, possible or impossible, doesn’t make him feel nervous in any way. He's the kind of person who doesn't feel the pressure around him, often acting his usual self even if things start breaking down. He never backs down from a fight even if he's against an opponent far more powerful than he is, often showing no fear and treating them as if they're just at the same level as he is. Even if that person might be a Guild Master or anyone of that power, Daichi always steps up and continues fighting. He usually tries to avoid losing, but when he does, he can easily get over it and continue with his life as if he isn't burdened by that. And, to make his fearlessness golden, he isn't even afraid of dying. If you dare or force him to do something that might cost him his life, he will do it as if he doesn't see any risk in doing so. He does want to achieve his goals before he can embrace death, but if he has to die, he will still be fine with it knowing that he's done his best to go closer in achieving them. If you try to scare him by threatening his life, you're just playing around yourself. There's no way he's gonna be afraid of that, no way.
You might see him as a simple-minded and fearless guy, but once he is put in battle, only the latter stays. He's a very skilled and formidable fighter, mostly due to his highly increased skills given by his abilities as a dragon slayer and his incredible drive for fighting. His way of fighting is a mix of recklessness and thinking, charging to his opponents while thinking of his next move in the process. This makes it pretty hard for his opponents to fight him since he is pretty much unpredictable and his moves don't have any pattern of sort which might leave the opponent confused and possibly loss in thought in anticipation of Daichi's next move. He is also pretty crafty, always finding out his opponent's weaknesses by observing their behavior and reactions to different circumstances, something he can't even do out of combat. This definitely proves that Daichi is born to fight.
Whenever he is put in a team, Daichi often acts as a leader even if he doesn't seem to be up for that kind of job. Even if his teammates go against it, he will still keep his pride as one. This often forces his teammates to choose a 'second leader', someone who makes all the right decisions unlike Daichi who chooses the silliest ones. However, once he starts leading his group into battle, he starts acting as one and often makes right decisions such as commanding his team to split up and cover every opponent they can see. Whenever he sees one of his crew in danger, he is quick to respond to their cries and protect them since he greatly values people he considers a friend and especially family.
Likes:
- Meat - Being a son of a dragon, Daichi was constantly fed meat by his parent. Because of this, he started to grow fond of meat until it is the only thing he eats every time. If you want to lure him into at trap, just put a bag of meat on it. It's guaranteed to lure the dragon slayer in every way.
- Fighting - Being a mage from Fairy Tail, it's pretty much normal for Daichi to enjoy fighting and messing around. If you challenge him to any kind of fight, he sure will accept it with much enthusiasm. He'll fight just about anyone as long as they want to as well.
- Ryujin - Ryujin is the dragon that raised Daichi when he was young so he's pretty close to him. He holds a lot of pride in being the son of Ryujin, often telling others about it and proving it by showing them his power and abilities. If someone ever insults or disrespects his dragon parent in any way, the outcome will always be one thing - a fight.
- His Friends and Family - Daichi greatly values his friends, often considering them as his family. This might be due to the fact that valuing friends is a common trait in Fairy Tail, but there is a deeper reason for why Daichi does. He never grew up with a proper family, or, to put things bluntly, he never even had a real family. He always considers his friends as family just so he can have one and fill the holes caused by the loss of his true one.
Dislikes:
- People who hurt his loved ones - If you ever hurt one of Daichi's friends, prepare yourself - you've been marked in Daichi's radar. He will bring back all the pain done a hundred times over so hurting his friends isn't really a wise thing to do. Try to make them cry, and you're screwed. There's no way Daichi will ignore a suffering friend, and there's no way he'll leave things at that.
- Falling into traps - Daichi hates falling into traps as much as he gets caught in them. Due to his simple-minded nature, he often gets stuck in bad situations such as getting caught between two close buildings or falling into pitfall traps. The continuous occurrence made Daichi hate being caught in situations like these but until now, he still can't find a way to avoid them.
- Eating meals without meat - Since Daichi loves to eat meat, he doesn't like eating food that consist of no meat at all. He often acts like a child when forced to eat meals like that, always asking someone to give him meat just because he finds it hard to eat without any kind of meat.
Motivations:
- Fighting for his friends - Whenever Daichi is put in a situation where he has to fight to save the life of someone he loves or to avenge it, he becomes a lot stronger that he is. He fights with full potential when put in situations like these, never sparing any effort since he greatly holds his loved ones dear. If you want to go all out with Daichi, try hurting his friends. However, doing so doesn't seem to be a great idea. It's hard to take down a dragon slayer in full potential so it's better not to put Daichi in that kind of state.
- Challenging tasks - Usually, people always stray away from hard tasks and go with easy ones. Daichi, however, does the other way around. Instead of trembling under the pressure exerted by hard tasks, Daichi still keeps standing and gains a lot of drive to finish the task. He knows that finishing challenging jobs will gain you great rewards so he never strays away from them even if it is necessary.
- Become the strongest Dragon Slayer - Arguably his greatest ambition, Daichi swore to his dragon parent that he'll return to him as an accomplished and powerful dragon slayer. So he decided to become stronger and one day surpass every other dragon slayer, becoming the most powerful and strongest of them all. Not just that, he also wants to slay real dragons in order to make his dream of becoming a strong slayer go closer.
Fears:
- Daichi is afraid of losing someone he loves. He is a person who greatly treasures his friends and family so there is no way he will neglect them. He will always put them first before his duties and dreams since they are a lot more important than that. Due to this, he doesn't want to lose anyone he loves and will do anything just to keep them alive even if he has to sacrifice a lot. He will always find a way to blame himself whenever he loses someone he loves. It takes a long time for him to get over things like this so he will do his best to keep everyone he loves alive.
- Flying insects - Daichi has some kind of fear when it comes to insects. If they're crawling on the ground, he often messes around with them by poking them with sticks and things like that. But once that insect flies, he completely breaks down. He will run away from the insect as fast as he can just because he doesn't want it to come near him.
- Transportation - Being a dragon slayer with developed power, Daichi always feels sick whenever he is put in any mode of transportation. Due to his weird case of motion sickness, he always avoids taking them to the point that he started to fear going inside them.

Daichi is pretty much a thin yet lean young man. If you look at him closely, you can definitely see his muscle definition, though they aren't that large to be easily noticed. He has a light tan tone because Ryujin, his dragon parent, always trained him under the sun. He often wears childish expressions such as widening his eyes and wearing huge grins. But that's not the most striking feature about him. What most people notice when seeing Buzz is the cross shaped scar he has on his chest, something he had ever since an event just two years ago. Whenever he is reminded of that event, the scar starts to hurt as much as it did again because it reminded him much of the pain he felt.
Daichi always wears a yellow straw hat with a red strap around it which was given to him by Rayleigh, the dragon that took him in and cared for him through many years. He often wears an unbuttoned red long-sleeved shirt which fits his body physique perfectly, exposing the X-shaped scar he has on his chest and his abdominal muscles. He keeps it unbuttoned because he feels quite comfortable if he exposes most of his upper body. He wears a yellow piece of cloth tied around his waist which he uses to keep his blue shorts on his waist since his thin build makes it pretty loose. He often uses light brown sandals.
