Description:
Every being in the material world, even the material universe itself knows only a single truth, and that is that all things inevitably end. Whether through fighting or old age, human lives end, just like the lives of animals and plants eventually reach a natural end. Because that is exactly what death is, a natural conclusion to a life lived. Whether that person lived a good or a bad life does not matter in the end, for they all stop breathing, their hearts stop beating and their bodies rot in the ground or burn in a furnace. Originally intended to just be a dweller of the darkness that existed before the universe, the ability to put an end to material things was eventually bestowed upon Thagirion in order to fight the formation of the universe that drove out the infinite dark. Using it to make all manner of things disappear before they had the chance to become what they were meant to be, it eventually grew to be more.
Instead of being a force of destruction, it turned into a macabre force of creation as well. By using his own material form, he learned how to utilize his own bone structure and increase the density and shape of it in all manner of different shapes and sizes. Aiding him in restructuring his body for a plethora of purposes, altering the ground around him as he sees fit and more, destroying is no longer all that it is good for. That said, destruction is still by far the strongest factor of this magic. While other magics were based more around being fast, the offensive spells belonging to this magic focus entirely on brutally overpowering his enemies. Controlling forces of decay to make things wither, spoil, rot and break down on a mollecular and magical level, Thagirion twists it to either protect himself or to outright obliterate eyesores.
Finally, as a result of the codex that exists at the core of his being, this magic utilizes it to make it do more than just memorize spells. Spirits and ghosts eaten or otherwise destroyed through his magic are stored within it. Allowing Thagirion to use these templates for his shapeshifting and mimicry abilities, it makes them more than just seem realistic as they are in fact the real deal.
Unique Abilities:- Outlandish: Learning how to tinker with primordial powers such as darkness, souls and other such concepts, Thagirion's magical power had to be of a very high level. This is not so much a side effect of him possessing these powers, but because of his millennia old form housing within his material shell. Tapping into this force for the sake of utilizing his dark magics, quite a lot of unfortunate events need to transpire in order to make him run out. Magic Power +60%.
- Over in a Heartbeat: As sudden as death itself when it comes upon those who have run out of time on this earth, the magical powers and properties at Thagirion's command are incredibly fast. So fast even that most won't be able to even react to it as death descends upon them. Spell Speed +60%.
- Death God: Controlling some of the essential factors when it comes to ending all things, controlling the spirit, the earth, one's skeletal structure and even the forces of decay itself, there are those that have witnessed Thagirion's power and considered him to be an aspect of death. Capable of making things he touches crumble to dust, even magical forces must inevitably perish to it. Spell Damage +60%.

This can only be used against spells of equal rank or lower, one spell per post and only within burst range.

Description: By utilizing this power, Thagirion is surrounded by an aura of dark energies that pulses once every post. While this can happen at any point in the post, the dark magics strike the surroundings, decaying what it touches. Making plants wither, flesh rot and structures of earth and steel crumble or rust until there is nothing left, making direct contact with this spell can prove more than fatal. Those hit by this spell will find their motor functions will seize for one post as they are temporarily immobilized. This immobilization can only take place once every two rounds. By expending an amount of MP equal to the cost of the first spell this is used against, it can also nullify magic that hits it. These spells however need to be of equel rank or lower, only one spell per post and only within the burst range of the spell. Thanks in part due to the ruinous powers erupting from Thagirion’s body that decay and devour magic and material things alike, his spell damage is temporarily increased by 115% for the duration of this spell.

Description: Forming pillars of condensed rock out of the earth and making them hover right above the ground, otherworldly glyphs start lighting up in an eerie manner. Being quite sturdy, the pillars hum at a low frequency, making those that venture close to it hear what can only be described as screams of anguish from men, women and children alike. Aiming towards primal instincts such as fear, the noises radiating from the pillars are enough to keep most yokels away from them. Covering a fairly large area and popping up at sizes ranging from two to four meters in height, scaring townsfolk is just a side effect. Additionally, it lowers their spell damage output by 100% as the area the spell was cast upon upholds the laws from Thagirion’s own dimension for the duration, even going as far as increasing the size of all naturally occurring shadows by twice their original size.
Plot ability: If all parties agree upon it, these pillars remain until they are shattered or until the spell is released instead of following the given duration. The spell damage reduction can be turned on and off at will.

Description: Though but a simple trick in essence, this is not so much a spell that was devised to beat an opponent as it is one to get as much collateral damage as possible. Understanding full well that not every fight can be won by overpowering his enemies, Thagirion devised this spell that utilizes the spirit and earth aspects of his magic. Turning the ground in an area into a swamp, buildings, trees and people alike can easily sink into it entirely over time. Making it more dangerous are the spirits he releases into the mud, using it to temporarily possess a material form and in turn using it to reach up from the swampy mud and drag people in. When grabbed by one of the hands, one becomes immobilized for one post. This effect can only take place once every two posts, after which contact will need to be established again for the effect to take place. While the sinking is quite slow and can easily be escaped by a mage, civilians are often not so lucky, least of all women, children or the elderly. The sinking can be halted by Thagirion at will.

Description: Combining several magical attributes, Thagirion causes bones to form on the outside of his skin, cladding it with a magic bone armor. While not providing him with any actual armor, the use of this spell is in fact much more nuanced. Leading people to believe that the bony exterior provides armor, it is in fact more of a vocal point for his body to release magical power. For as long as the armor exists, Thagirion is capable of physically attacking by checking against his spell power rather than his physical strength. Greatly increasing his striking power for the duration, it is in fact not the only benefit it gives him. Having a magical vocal point outside of his body, exerting his magical powers becomes easier, meaning it requires less effort and reducing spell costs by 50%. When a strike is made against him, spiked bone can protrude from his body in response, lacerating those that ventured too close.

Description: Used either as a means of protection or an added attack, a dark miasma can burst from anywhere along Thagirion’s body to lash out at those close to him. Upon making contact with someone or something, it starts eating away at it. Causing solid objects touched to wither, rot, rust or otherwise decay, it can also cause mages hit by the attack to become immobilized. This immobilization lasts for one post and can only occur once every two posts.
Name: Servitors from Beyond
Rank: A
MP Cost: 50mp
Category: Offensive
Type: Multi Target
Damage: 75hp
Range: 225 meters
Speed: 165 meters per second
Duration: 7 posts
Downside: -
Description: Calling forth up to ten skeletal creatures from the ground to obey commands, they possess different features ranging from canine to reptilian and humanoid mashed together. Covered in lumps of dirt, mud and earth, black energies swirl around inside the skull and ribcage. Moving relatively fast, these creatures were not meant to do combat with. Instead, they are meant to instill fear and outnumber potential enemies. Dealing damage by either manually exploding or by exploding upon taking damage, the black energy they erupt with immobilizes those hit by it for one round. This immobilization can only occur once every two posts.
Plot ability: Anything the servitors witness, Thagirion can see as well. Acting as guard dogs, they can be used to protect a spot or go on ahead and scout out an area.
Name: Stare into the Abyss
Rank: B
MP Cost: 40
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Multi Target
Damage: -
Range: 225 meters
Speed: 55 meters per second
Duration: 6 posts
Downside: 50% increased range for 50% reduced speed, lacks offensive capabilities and is easy to kill when spotted.
Description: By focusing on his dark core, he can release up to six spirits out into the world and make them take on a semi-material form. Moving along the ground, walls and ceilings in the shape of shadows, those that see them can destroy them fairly easily. This causes them to disperse and return to their point of origin. As their sole purpose is to move around relatively unseen and gather information, they do not possess any combat skills of their own.
Plot ability: When agreed upon by all parties, these ghosts continue to move about until they are either found and killed, or the spell is undone.
Name: Dark Descent
Rank: B
MP Cost: 40
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Burst
Damage: -
Range: 75 meters
Speed: 25 meters per second
Duration: 6 posts
Downside: 50% increased range for 50% reduced speed, lacks offensive capabilities and is easy to kill when spotted.
Description: A simple, earth based ability that Thagirion uses at some points is simply sinking into the ground and moving around down there. While he won’t be able to see what is going on above him, he can feel the vibrations in the soil in order to figure out some of what is going on, or at the very least where the action is. By using earth magic, he can move through the ground relatively quickly. This does not provide immunity to damage or detection. When 75 meters have been traversed, the spell comes to a natural conclusion.
Plot ability: When agreed upon by all parties, Thagirion can stay hidden in the ground for far longer periods of time, as well as just use it as a means of vacating the area.
Name: Morbid Mimicry
Rank: C
MP Cost: 30
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Single Target
Damage: -
Range: Self
Speed: Self
Duration: 5 posts
Downside: -
Description: Utilizing various aspects of his magic, Thagirion temporarily changes his physical structure in order to take on the appearance of another human being by using a combination of spirit, bone and earth attributes. Altering size and posture are quite easily pulled off. Additionally, he can use the remnants of a spirit he’s eaten as a form of mimicry, speaking with their voice in order to make the transformation more complete. While this offers no combat advantage, it is a very potent way of ditching people or getting into places he might normally not be able to.
Plot ability: When agreed upon by all parties, this spell does not have a set duration, instead ending when the user chooses it to.
Name: Penance Stare
Rank: C
MP Cost: 30
Category: Auxiliary
Type: Single Target
Damage: -
Range: 20 meters
Speed: 20 meters per second
Duration: 5 posts.
Downside: Eye contact has to be made.
Description: By making eye contact with a target, Thagirion can see some of the worst things they have ever done as they themselves are being more or less coerced towards thinking about it. As a way of directly staring into the darker fraction of their soul, this does not serve much of a purpose in battle aside from riling people up or giving Thagirion a glimpse into their lives. This entire mechanic requires OOC permission.
Trained Link: Kendov Descent - Outlandish: Learning how to tinker with primordial powers such as darkness, souls and other such concepts, Thagirion's magical power had to be of a very high level.
