Personality: Despite the young age He is cheerful and easygoing, though sometimes called sadistic because of his tendency to playfully tease those around him. He really wants to be liked by everyone, which is evident by his preference to be called "Shimo-kun,". He is fair and sticks to his word. When playing games, most character's concentration are broken up by attention and pressure. But Shimo loves the attention and actually focuses much more when he's being cheered on.

He is often seen with a calm and content expression on his face, with his eyes seemingly closed from lightly smiling. However, when he is excited or provoked, or during battle, He reveals his sharp eyes and dying willed spirit. He is easily moved by back stories of people he meet along the way. No one truly knows his limit, even himself; one of his trademark phrases is "Don't let your guard down" ("Yudan sezu ni ikou").He is fiercely loyal and protective friend and does not want to loose them or see them quit. But only interferes when needed.
