Name: Altair
Rank: Weak
Type: Weapon: Flintlock Pistol
Proof of purchase: N/A
Description: Altair is a firearm weapon, a dueling flintlock pistol of traditional Encan design, the likes of which are quite popular among Encan sailors and pirates. It is made of well-worked, slip-resistant, waterproof wood etched with carved designs, and its metal work is of bronze. It fires using state-of-the-art alchemical rounds for ammunition. Each round is a vial containing a blue liquid whose quantity, when inserted into the gun, serves as an ammunition gauge. The liquid percolates through the bottom of the vial when the trigger is pulled, and sublimes into a dark blue crystalline slug which can be fired out of the weapon to a maximum range of 60 meters. The report of the gun is clearly audible, about as loud as a standard hand clap.
Each round carries sufficient ammunition to fire ten shots per post, at which point the gun must be reloaded.
Altair comes with a waterproof leather holster, meant to be strapped to the thigh, also bearing pockets to hold a good number of rounds.
