Cherry awoke from the library, she had snuck in (even though she didn't need to) and decided to take a nap in a pile of books on the top floor. She was tired and just wanted shelter, okay? She decided to walk around the library for a while when she found a flier on the cork board on the first floor. It said something about getting a free iLac! All she had to do was go to the factory in in Neutral Grounds! Didn't seem too hard. She took the flier and set out for her journey. Cherry was hard set on getting her new free thing. Well, the thing didn't matter as much as the journey itself. She wanted to go on her first solo adventure and now she got the opportunity. She was so excited for her first trip that she almost forgot her flier. She ran back and got it, apologising to the librarian that was about to pick it up. She left the library with newfound sense of adventure.
On her way, she decided to stop by the bakery. She told the baker about where she was going while she waited for her muffin she ordered for the trip there. A girl's gotta keep her energy up. “You're going to the Neutral Grounds little missy? Well, be careful! I hear that trek can be dangerous from here to there.” The shop owner said, as he handed Cherry her blueberry muffin. “I’'ll be okay!” She smiled, and headed out. She carefully nomed her muffin, leaving trails of bread crumbs, or, well, muffin crumbs, behind her. She noticed a little mouse following her and eating the crumbs. She stopped and smiled at it, giving it a big chunk of her muffin. It squee'd with delight and ran off with it. A few moments later it returned with its babies to thank Cherry. She grinned, and got up from the ground, happy she was able to help the mouse family. She started back on her journey, her little cape-shawl blowing in the light breeze.
As Cherry walked to the Neutral Grounds, she tripped a few times. Her shoelace was untied, she hit a rock in the grass she couldn't see, and she lost her balance walking on a big log. She was a clumsy girl. She really needed to get boots with no shoelaces on them. She continued her journey, finally reaching the Neutral Grounds, trying to navigate her way through the giant city. It was scary for her, being in a place this big… She was lost for several hours until she finally worked up the courage to ask for directions. Cherry was never good with directions though and made a few wrong turns. Once she figured out where to go, she ran all the way there, and barely made it before the factory closed. She received a baby pink iLac upon request and let herself be taught how to use it. She walked out of the factory victorious! Hooray! Her first adventure was done.
Now… Which way was back to town again...?
