Re: (C)haotic to (B)arbaric
Hello there Ophelia! It is I, your lovely GM, Saraphina! For your exam, you get to show me how you do the things!
You can either give me personal plot
ooor
You can go after a government official from Bosco that is trying to help implement law in Shirotsume with the towns leaders. They want to make the town more organized and fortified against criminals, Dark Mages and regular people alike. Show the leaders humanities true nature!
You can bring others with you, but their Word Count doesn't count! ^^ And don't forget to have some fun <3

Re: (C)haotic to (B)arbaric
Just a bit over... but... I tried to follow both prompts so guess not so far over... if you count it as 2k words needed...
Words written: #2397 Total written: 2,397/1,000 #e45e9d Ophelia's speech #5de3a4 Pheli's speech | "I don't wanna do it! That sounds boring! Why can't we get a fun job... Like stealing from a candy shop.. or or... playing helpless child to get into some manor to steal from them when they sleep... why does Ophelia have to go and deal with some stick in mud!" BECAUSE the guild master we work under asked this of us for one thing. Secondly I told you that if you truly wish to grow stronger you will need to have more of a serious side child. Sure you COULD return to being childish later, but you need to know when it is time to be serious and when it is time to have fun..." _____While Pheli tried to explain things to the child as she watched from the mirror it appeared to be a loosing argument. The smallest and youngest mage of the guild continued to puff her cheeks, and roll around the pillow covered floor of her room as she protested back and forth with her partner. Ophelia did not like the idea of doing anything serious, and Pheli had refused to do it this time for the explained reason but it did not seem to make the child any more willing to take the job on at all. "Let's think of this a game strategy then, what do you know about the target SHOULD you go after them..." "I DON'T WANNA!" "Child you are testing my patience! If this continues I will no longer come to the mirror!" "NO! NO NO NO!!! You promised you would always stay with Ophelia... You said you would never leave!" _____Ophelia's focused seemed to line up for once as her magic flared out wildly ripping apart pillows around her as it arced from the girl who rose to her feet. The mirror that held Pheli beginning to shake and strain as the girl unknowing started to push the magic that bond them apart with her temper. Dealing with children was always difficult as the reflecting of the girl tried to think how to calm her down to make sure she was not broken into pieces and lost forever because of the child's tantrum. "Then play the game and follow the rules like you say to!" "NO! I don't wanna play boring games!" "Then I Guess our promise is broken on both sides." _____With her words spoken Pheli vanished deeper into the mirror cutting the connection to make it a two way that reflected the angry child while she could watch from within it. Taking a good hour or so before Ophelia calmed down enough from her shouting at her own reflection before noticing she was not speaking to her friend but herself. A hand against the mirror only confirmed the matter. Tears welling in Ophelia's eyes as she gently tapped the glass to avoid breaking it. "Pheli... Pheli... I... Don't leave me alone... You... You promised we would always have each other... Don't leave... I'm sorry Pheli... Come back... please..." _____Ophelia's voice broke more as she spoke trying to speak to her oldest and only true friend. Falling to her knees crying by the end as she rested her head on the mirror unable to sense the friend watching from the other side. Why did she have to be serious... Pheli said she would be the one who grew up so Ophelia never had to... so why? Hand slamming the pillow below her frame as she rose balling her fist. It was not fair, life was never fair, Ophelia's frame sparked with magic energy as she stormed to the other side of her room. _____Hand clenching a pillow against the wall and ripping it away to reveal her daggers. Ripping each from their holster and adjusting them along her frame as her magic continued to spark wildly around her as she could only think of how unfair and cruel the world was to her. She just wanted to have friends, to be a child forever and yet both things life refused to give. Was such simple thing to much to ask for? Anger welling up more as she ripped more of the pillow wall away to reveal her other weapons she fastened before taking her mirror and marching out of the room. _____The air around the child seemed twisted, anger and hate taking over the often times mellow and happy vibe the girl emitted during the day. Small framed armed for war storming past members of the guild as her magic flared wildly. Hands reaching forward and moving apart as white stuffing began to appear from thin air, growing in mass, then a layer of soft fur coating the large cat stuffed animal as it knelt down so Ophelia could jump on before charging out the front door of the guild hall. _____Tears drifting behind the child as she rushed off down the mountain to go deal with her own anger. She needed to calm down, and all she could still think of was the job she did not want to do. She blamed the person for Pheli leaving her, blamed them for her having to be the grown up she refused to become. She wanted to make them suffer, to destroy everything they built or cared about. Teeth grinding as she vanished into the snow covered landscape leaving the guild door wide open. _____A few days had passed, No word for the child Ophelia or mention of where she was since leaving the guild hall. But she was busy. Scheming, planning, learning, and preparing to deal with the person she despised. She took her time to learn more about them, to set things in motion against them, and as the girl sat beside the small fire she made to keep warm in the forest for the night as she looked at her reflection in the mirror still alone without Pheli to talk to she spoke. "Everyone wants Ophelia to grow up... but Ophelia does not want to... Everyone wants Ophelia to deal with the man... but Ophelia does not want to... Everyone wants to see Ophelia be serious... FINE... But... Ophelia does not want to do this..." _____Ophelia looked away from her reflect, down to her tools and weapons one last time to make sure she had everything, to make sure each weapon and tool was in perfect working order before gathering them all back into her outfit and bag as she rose to get her mirror and step away from the edge of the fire leaving it exposed. Eyes moving to the slowly falling string covered in oil, the first piece lowering as the bag of sand nearby emptied out. Then, it touched the flame and ignited starting her plan. _____Ophelia kicked off the dirt running to the next point as the flame traveled the string. Oil coating parts of trees and bushes around the area to start the fire diversion she would need. As she slid across a hill down towards the town where her target was staying. The fire growing rapidly behind her and would sooner or later divert most the town and guards to deal with it leaving things to simply move to the next stage of her plan. _____Frame sank into an alley as guards rushed towards the fire, soon after followed by mages and people of the town watching the path heading for the fields and livestock area that supported the location. Ophelia moved back to her path making a bee line for the manor of the lord. Frame molding along the wall as she dug into her bag to get the rope and hook from within. Slowly stepping away to swing it in the air before releasing to have it hook to a tree. The branch able to support the full weight of the girl and her bag like she checked a few times before. _____Feet pressed to the stone wall as she climbed using the rope, hopping over and snapping the rope to have it release from the branch to store it back in the bag for later and to remove trace of her entry as she rushed across the yard in the shadows cast from the lights. Even getting a chance to locate exactly where her target as as he stood looking at the flames from the second floor balcony. _____Eyes moving away as she rushed to the back of the building and got her rope and hook out aiming for a smaller balcony on the back side of the home. Latching and pulling herself up as she stashed the tool again and began working on the door lock quickly. She had time still no doubt, but she wanted to get things over with. Getting in only to lock the entry point behind her and moving quietly across the home towards the last known location of her target. _____Hand digging around her bag to find a small can to toss into the room quickly as the shocked voice of the man was heard for a few moments, before silence. Waiting a extra moment before opening the door as the grey smoke faded revealing the man close to the door that would have let the smoke escape. Ophelia had planned for that also as she moved her dagger back to the sheath and started to get the man ready. Also opting to prepare the other part of things. _____Hands taking and replacing papers with her gloves, each time going back to add the man's print to the new papers before leaving them in place of the other. Then moving to attach strings to the man with hooks and adjusting them around the room and reaching to cut his head off while he was knocked out. Moving to the door and opening it to set the trap before leaving the door ajar to reveal the pooling blood as she rushed for the stairs of the house. The head resting in her bag as she reached the left unlocked back door she could have used before breaking the glass and opening it to make her exit. _____Hands reaching to set the hook on the back gate latch to leave it pulled up as she rushed out into the night heading back for her second spot. Her job was done and now it was simply time to do the second checks as she reached her real camp site and sat down with the head on her lap as she started carving into the skin while looking down at a small book decorated with glitter and rainbows. Hand reaching to start looking over the content. "Step one... Gather information... Ophelia took time Pheli... she did... she learned who gaurd the man... what the town was like... who might help her..." The first few pages had a Coolidge of information, ranging from pictures and thing about people, blueprints of the manor, layout of the city, A list of people titled 'avoid them', a list titled 'use them', and measurements for the rope and string she would need. "Second step... Prepare... Ophelia left notes for people... payments to do things like leave door unlocked... their prints not mine... dropping things off and false documents..." Turning the pages to each item she mentioned. a second copy of the documents attached in the book as she turned to the next set of pages as tears built in her eyes. "Step three... always have a plan... and back up plans... like you always told me to... Ophelia set strings... and rigged for other things if they slacked or got cut to stop the spread of fire... Looped them around too... to keep it going... made sure to be ready to fight the man... if the gas was countered..." The map of the area around town was drawn over with a light pink color where the fire reached. "Step four... Always cover tracks... Al... Always make sure... to... to leave no trace..." _____Ophelia looked towards the oil coated string nearby that circled her small rest spot as she rose and started to make distance from the spot. Her hands around her small book that contained proof she did the job, focus on her guild mark to use the spell built in it to take her back home. Slowly walking towards the throne as she set the bag and book down and walked away. Her frame covered in blood from taking the head of the man, and taking the time to carve the guild symbol on his forehead. _____The book also had a crude pictures of something that would not happen until someone opened the door, something only the villain who set the trap would know about. Each detailing steps on how the hooks on the man's body would sprawl out, pulling the papers that showed his crimes, his wrong deeds, and carving the guild symbol on his headless corpse. Ophelia did more then simply punish the man, she smeared his family name not only with his true crimes but faked ones to make sure they would never rise up again. _____And as Ophelia sat down, setting her mirror back on the wall of her room, having re-stashed her tools and weapons she let herself resume crying over the lose of her friend. The one person she wanted to always have around was gone, or so she thought as she wept at the mirror and the image shifted. Standing while the girl was sitting was her reflection without tears. A dragged out sigh as Ophelia looked up to see Pheli looking down. "Well you sure took your sweet time to make a point... You... Just really hate doing the work don't you child?" "Planning is booring... following a plan is worse... Winging it... is fun... being serious... is the opposite of fun... your a meanie... tricking Ophelia to think you are gone forever... just to make her do something..." "Sometimes that is the only way to get into that thick stubborn skull of yours... Please... it felt like a fun thing to do on that day...~" Ophelia wiped her tears as she started to laugh seeing Pheli smirk slightly, although it was more to the mocking nature the child was happy her friend came back. Spending the remainder of her energy to retell the story of the time in her own childish view unknowing she was watched the entire time. The child Murder |
