At a first glance, Neah presents himself as a somewhat steely man, carrying the air of a person who has no time frivolous activities and would prefer to get straight down to the necessary business at hand. Which, while by no means wrong as he is very much a person who likes any endeavors he partakes in to be done as cleanly as possible, can prove to be a rather misleading first impression. He’s usually a surprisingly easy person to be around as long as others aren’t obnoxiously getting at him for nonsensical reasons, and can be a good sport for a challenge or an exchange of some witty jokes. His relationship with most people in general tends to be a love-hate one, as his past experiences have proven him that a lot of people aren’t capable of keeping themselves in line, causing a lot of unnecessary chaos along the way. Yet, the world cannot operate without its population, and thus he has to go out of his way to maintain positive relations with others for the long run.

Being used to operating more as a lone wolf, Neah can appear to be a bit prickly when it comes to relying on team cooperation, however he has the potential to be both a capable follower and leader, given that he’s partnered with people whose methods he can respect. As long as you have a good head on your shoulders, you’re likely good to go.

Nevertheless, doing the right thing is most of the time what matters most to him, and he is willing to adapt to get the desired outcome to become reality, which was also the main reason for his choice to join a guild after having worked solo for a certain amount of time. He’d be entirely happy to shake things up on his own terms and with his own hands, but there’s no denying that a group effort is more likely to yield actual results. Frankly, he wouldn’t call it the best thing in the world, however it does beat running around without any back up...


Likes:

Organization & Planning: While he isn’t incapable of taking spontaneous ventures, Neah does have a liking for making sure everything is prepared and ready the way it should ahead of time. Why rush if you can make sure you’re not about to botch a mission because you didn’t even check what your team can do?

Engineering: One of the few hobbies he has taken up in his spare time before having joined a guild was tinkering with various mechanics, especially weaponry related ones, and while it’s not his job in any way or form, he seems to enjoy it as a calming activity.

A good work out: Whether through a mission or just casually, getting a good move on was always something he considered to be helpful for clearing the mind of unpleasant thoughts. Calm routine is nice, but it eats at the mind eventually.

Dislikes:

Incompetence: People who fumble far too much and take on obstacles they clearly cannot match up to can be a great annoyance. Neah’s tolerance for people who lack even a speck of competence in what they try to do has never been high.

Magic Misuse: If there’s something that grinds his gears to an extreme level, it’s those who use their magical abilities to create a bad name for everyone. While he doesn’t hate people who simply oppose the council due to some disagreements, if they create chaos just for their personal pleasure, they will end up on the bottom when it comes to his opinion of them.

Losing: Having a fairly strong inner spirit, Neah does not like the idea of being the loser in any situation, taking it as a jab at his abilities.

Motivations:

Keeping a positive view of magic: Having originally been born in Pergrande and experiencing their extreme views on anything magical, he has made it his long term goal to fight against the negative usage and presentation of magical powers.

Having influence: Living a chunk of your life in the shadows to avoid trouble for what you are is not a pleasant experience, and he would like to be able to flip that upside down for himself eventually.

Outliving his parents: An odd goal perhaps, but he had always been treated like he wasn’t going to make it far in life due to his magical aptitude, and in his opinion, the best non-violent way to prove them wrong would be to make it longer than them.

Fears:

His family: Proving them wrong aside, he’d really prefer to stay clear of them for as long as he can, not wanting to deal with any of the stuff they’d probably unload on him if they were to ever meet again in person.

Being controlled: Being at the mercy of another person is one of the worst feelings to experience, and one Neah avoids at all costs as long as he can.

Nightmares: The occasional horrible dreams that happen always leave him with a disturbing sense of anxiety, even causing him to have a hard time falling asleep in general on some nights.
