Name:
Lucky Charms
Rank:
Artifact (+) Armor, Proof
Type:
Bracelet/Anklet
Description & Appearance:
This piece of armor can be worn as either a bracelet or an anklet. It base appearance is a silver-like, entwined cord that can withstand a good beating without showing to much damage. The left side of this piece of equipment can be unscrewed so charms may be added onto to it. The charms can vary depending on the person who owns it, but at the moment it seems to have three charms on it, each seemingly having a blessing of some unknown force within them.
History:
Normally, the fairy folk and mortal men don't see eye to eye and there are many reasons for this depending on which of the fairy folk you ask. Some will say for destroying their homes, while others will say for stealing from them. No matter the reason, the rift between the two kinds of beings seemed like it would never heal. That was until one fateful day when a mortal man and a young fairy woman fell in love. They kept their courting a secret from friends and family, eventually wedding and having a child of both man and fae. Knowing that their child would be in danger from both sides, they made the difficult decision of saying farewell to their beloved child; but not before giving them a gift so they knew that they were loved from even before they had been born.
Together the mother and father created armor for their child that could be mistaken for a piece of jewelry. They did this in the form of a simple chain created by lost magic. This chain could be worn as either a bracelet or an anklet as it would alter depending on where it was worn. Once done they used ancient magic to create the three charms that would protect the one thing they loved beyond words, their child. Once this had been done under the cover of moonlight they crossed the barrier of their races and nations, to take their son to a new land where he wouldn't know of them, his origins or even the plight of both their peoples. The nation that they had entered was Minstrel, knowing that the people here would be able to provide them with everything they could ever need or want.
The fates of the child's parents to this day are unknown and who the child was remained a mystery, as nothing of their birth was ever documented by the parents for their safety. Like all things, though the item was either lost, sold or stolen only to be placed back up for sale, but it is thought that this 'trinket' was handed down a single bloodline for many generations before it wound up in its new owner's hands.

This ability not only shields against damage but if the owner is willing to pay the original mana cost of an oncoming spell, once per turn may reflect 50% of the damage back to the original caster, as long as they are still within the owners rank burst range. This ability caps at S rank and can only reflect damage from spells of the abilities rank or lower.
