A Sunny Trip to the Mountains. || Mellascyla ST Intro.

It took her everything to move away from the original mountain, a simple message over her iLac was all that she had received. Barrel of Giant's Wine, a regular staple of any drinking Sun Giants dinner back home was in her arms as she sighed, Aurora had shut down. There was no way she could continue on her own here, joining a guild was her best way not only to remain in the country legally, but also to allow her a learning experience of human culture outside Pergrande. She had recently taken a leave of absence after her last fight in the river village, she had used up too much internal energies and needed to gather sunlight anew. As well however she had taken a trip, a trip that resulted in her new acquisition.

As she moved through the desert area she could see the city in the distance, the place that many a traveler helped her find, Ace of Spades. Her reason for coming was rather simple as it stood, she needed a new guild and thanks to someone she met during her last job, it seemed they would be a good fit for her! So as she stepped ever closer to the city she would slip her ring over the black metal gauntlet she had on, her body shrinking to no more than five foot five as she walked into the bustling city. People were all over the area, much more than she was used to back in Aurora enough that she felt she could not go a few feet before bumping into someone. Looking around it was obvious eyes were on her, Black Metal armor coated in glowing orange aura and a matching shield and sword, it was obvious she was not just another traveler but as it stood she felt it better to just continue on.

After some idle wandering she would take a break in a cafe waving over a kind woman, "Pardon could I perhaps get some local cuisine?" With a smile the woman nodded and got her something local to Ace of Spades, a real desert, desert. As she enjoyed her meal, it would not doubt attract people to her, as a thirty two foot tall woman in the same armor as her had just come to the city, though now shrunk.

-In the tavern-

Wearing her Azure Armor and blue t-shirt with khaki cargo shorts and white tennis shoes, Victoria was sitting at a table drinking a Strawberry Slam when she heard rumors floating around about an incredibly tall person who wore black metal armor with an orange aura who had just arrived in Ace of Spades. Since she was not bartending today, she would go take a look and see what the rumors were all about. She would see if the person was just an unusually tall traveler or a threat to guild territory.

"I'll be back in a few minutes, Marceline." Victoria said to her dark-haired friend, who was tending the bar. The brunette paid what she owed for the Strawberry Slam and exited the tavern to pay a visit to the town.

-In the town-

Victoria walked along the streets of the town, certain that she could find the person in question since not many people in these parts wore black metal armor and exuded an orange aura. She walked along the bustling streets until she came across a local cafe that hosted the woman in question, who was currently busy eating an item of local cuisine that the brunette had never seen before. The visitor was not causing any trouble and no one seemed to be alarmed by her presence, so Victoria opted to take a casual approach to the situation. She carefully approached the human-sized traveler with a magic signature and spoke to her.

"Hi there!" Victoria casually greeted the other mage.

The demoness unceremoniously hung atop one of the many high rooftops Ace of Spades was rich, overlooking the city she, and with her the rest of the guild know as Sabertooth, were tasked to guard and protect. For once paperwork wasn't keeping her holed up in her quarters or in the Red Dragon Inn, so the demoness had taken to the streets, and quite quickly had searched her way higher-up, to the rooftops. This thing, traversing rooftops, was actually an old habit from her past life. One she'd tried to get rid of, but ultimately had come to adapt to once again in this life. For some reason she felt less suffocated when walking atop the tiles than she did the cobblestone streets. More at ease when she could oversee everything. She truly enjoyed the view, and sometimes was even treated to sights one could only behold with open skies above them.

Said sight today however was one that had the demoness blinking in confusion. In the distance she saw a person drawing near. Said person however had appeared to be of regular size in her eyes, despite not being near... Kenna sat up and stared at the phenomenon, rubbing her eyes to make sure she wasn't dreaming. An illusion? A trick of the mind? Perhaps... but she didn't quite trust it. Deciding to take a closer look, the Sabertooth ace got back on her feet and dashed off to the next rooftop, speeding up as she went, until she was jumping from roof to roof with merely a single foot. It wouldn't take long before she would reach her target; a gigantic, in ebony armor clad, woman, adorned with fiery hair to boot. Only 500 more meters left...

And then, her target disappeared. As if it had never been there, it suddenly vanished, leaving the slayer to skid to a halt. Confused she looked around, blinked a few times, and then shook her head before continuing onward; this time faster than before. She barely contained herself enough to not burst into flames when she dropped down from the rooftops and unto the streets into a squat, crimson eyes keenly processing anyone within her enhanced view. But none were. She did however seem to spot her fellow guildmember Victoria, who had joined not too long ago, and was about to walk over to her when she saw the woman stop as well. The way she was looking at the building before going inside was... curious, to say the least. Kenna, hoping to perhaps get Victoria's aid in finding her target, followed suit, only to come to the conclusion that Victoria had beaten her to finding said target. Or at least someone who resembled them.

She looked at the red-haired woman, clad in black armor, and frowned shortly. Was this the one she had been looking for? The giantess? That was quite the nifty trick you pulled there, young lady.” she started, keenly assessing the woman seated at the table. Her armor was indeed similar to the giantess she had seen approaching Ace of Spades from the desert. Yet it could've been someone else entirely for all she knew; she had been far away when the giant woman had approached. That, or someone was willingly using the woman's appearance for other, more dubious uses. All of these were possibilities she had to consider. ”I hope you refrain from using it while residing within Ace of Spades' territory, as to ensure any type of damage to occur within the city." Kenna ended, her voice stern yet casual. It could be a risky thing to merely speak these words to the redhaired woman. After all, she did not know the intentions behind her being here. And if anything, the ace wished for anything but making this first encounter a violent one; but she wasn't afraid to raise hell if the occasion would call for it. And most-likely, compared to Victoria's approach Kenna would most-likely come across as rash, she cared little for that. She was like the fire she wielded; fickle, but passionate.

It was normally quite the treat to visit new area's as it stood, consistent travel in her life meant that each new place held grand experiences she was yet to see. Here now stood someone that she had yet to meet but simply greeted, them with a smile and a soft wave, "Hello it is nice to meet you!" She quickly shoveled another bit of food into her mouth as the second visitor approached, one who she had noted as trailing the first, maybe out of some form of connection? It was then that she spoke of a nifty trick, but what trick had she pulled, was it eating or perhaps it was the ring she was speaking of, no doubt many had seen her sudden shrinking. Smiling as she felt that she was confident in what she meant she would nod, "It is very much a nice trick! I shrink down cause otherwise I would never fit inside cities like this! My last home here in Fiore was juuuuuuust large enough to fit me, but here not so much!" she laughed as she finished but soon was confused at the ladies second response.

Laughing it off she would simply smile, "But I am using it right now! The ring I wear." raising her hand as she said so, "Keeps me small! Even my magic is scaled down and the clothes too! Though they need to be resonant with me, like my traditional garb and this armor!" Clanging her hand against the armor she would chuckle and look over them. She had to admit they seemed a bit wary of her, but maybe it was the armor itself? Either way she would get up and offer a hand to them both, "My name is Mellascyla Andariel, what about yourselves?"

Victoria noted the friendly approach of Mellascyla and did not feel that there was any reason to fear the newcomer. The ebony armor she wore was more than a little intimidating, but she did not present a threat to the safety of Ace of Spades. Victoria wanted to keep relations with the new person cordial and conflict-free, so she put on a friendly face for the newcomer. Speaking of new people, one of the Guild Aces, a female member named Aura, arrived a short time after Victoria did. She probably came out here to see about the giantess roaming the streets of Ace of Spades.

"I'm Victoria Sheridan." Victoria introduced herself to Mellascyla and heard the latter explain that a magic ring was what allowed her to shrink to normal human size and keep that form for as long as she wished. That was actually kind of cool. Victoria was surprised to hear that there were more giants like Mellascyla and wondered what walking in one of their towns would be like for someone of the former's size.

"So that ring allows you to shrink to normal human size, huh? And there are more people like you out in Earthland?" Victoria asked Mellascyla, her wariness replaced with insatiable curiosity about the newcomer and her people.

The first of her new visitors introduced herself as Victoria, a nice name for sure as she gave a soft bow to her. The other one soon seemed to lose some tension, their body visibly getting less tense though she could not help but chuckle a bit at her response, "I plan to for sure! Can't enjoy a cities culture if it is nothing but a pancake!" With that Victoria asked a bit more about her people prompting a soft laugh from her, "Roaming not so much as it stands." She knew better than anyone that her people tended to settle down for long periods of time, when you live hundreds of years settling down for them was more like a permanent stay for other less long lived races. Yet the last of her visitors for now did introduce herself prompting a returned bow from Mella herself as she smiled, "It is certainly a pleasure to make both your acquaintance!" Thinking for a moment she would sigh, getting back to the question given to her.

Setting her hand on the table to show the ring she had on she would run her index finger over the inscriptions, "The ring was made by my father to help me, my people are currently living close to the border of Pergrande kingdom, somewhere close to Sin. Dangerous for most, but considering our size, and our magic, it makes us capable of survival quite easily." Taking her finger off the ring she would look at them listening to Kenna's request as she nodded happily, "Of course! You two make take a seat, and no need to front the bill! This is all part of my end goal of learning all I can about Fiores human cultures! See that's why I left my clan temporarily! I want to learn as much as I can while still in youth so when I return maybe I can improve our lives a bit! Plus I just take great interest in human culture!" Taking another bite of her food as she sighed happily from the flavors she would clap her hands to her cheeks and smile, "Food here is so gooooooooood! I love it!" Looking at the two of them she would get herself into a slightly more serious mode, "Though I did not come to Ace of Spades only for food and culture, I used to be part of the now defunct Aurora... So I decided to come here! To the home of Sabertooth and maybe join up! Not gonna lie though walking from one mountain to another is crazy!" She laughed it off as it stood but losing Aurora was not the best for her, she rather liked it there.

Mellascyla was quite friendly to the Sabertooth mages and was quite open about herself and her people. The brunette was surprised by the openness with which Mellascyla spoke about her people and her purpose in Ace of Spades. She was here temporarily to learn from the human world so that she could go back home and hopefully improve the lives of her people using what she had learned. Victoria could respect that kind of goal.

Victoria was intrigued when Mellascyla stated that she used to be part of the now-defunct Legal Guild known as Aurora and wanted to join Sabertooth. The brunette had a faint feeling that the giantess liked Aurora and wished it had never disbanded, a feeling that the former knew all too well. She felt the same way about Black Rose and still lamented its disbanding, but she found a new home in Sabertooth and had met quite a few friendly mages, which helped assuage the feeling of loss. She had met Ryo, Imai, Gaia, and a couple of others who made the transition from Black Rose to Sabertooth easier.

"If you're interested in joining Sabertooth, you should talk to Kenna. She can help you with the process." Victoria said to Mellascyla. The brunette felt that the giantess would make a good addition to Sabertooth, but that was up to Kenna to decide. It was also up to Ryo since Sabertooth was his guild. However, Victoria doubted that they would have any problems with the giantess joining the guild.
