Kenna stared at the toy in confusion; it wasn't all that big, fitting perfectly within the palm of her hand and reminded her of the one her younger brother-figure and friend Imai had. What did he call it again… a bey? A beyblade? Yes, probably something like that. She looked up and frowned at Imai, who'd just handed her the item a few moments earlier, and looked back and forth between the two a few times more. ”You made this yourself, Imai? For… me?” The red-haired ace nodded in reply. “This one's called Chain Herakles, like the constellation of foreign God of Strength, Herakles! He’s like my Galaxy Pegasus… be it more, eh, fierce than Pegasus.” Imai said, giving her a sheepish grin. Well, she couldn't quite blame him for finding it a fitting spinning top for her, especially after their last encounter in the hidden ruins of Mysterious Canyon. That one in particular had been rather ‘fiery’ if so to say; something she regretted deeply, but didn’t know the source of. Perhaps this could help her come to terms with her violent nature? The demoness nodded and looked at the spinning top clenched between her fingers once more. ”Chain Herakles, eh…? And what exactly is it that you want me to do with it?” she asked, eyeing Imai with a curious look in her eyes. Almost instantly she could see the smile on his face widening into an enormous grin. ”Glad you asked! There’s a spinning top tournament on Galuna Island, and I want you to win it, Kenna.” Kenna wanted to protest, but Imai wasn’t done talking just yet, so she decided to wait till he was done talking before opening her mouth. ”They aren’t just toys though! Some are infused with magical energy, and the people at this tournament on Galuna Island are planning on giving quite the show. It’s gonna be amazing!” Imai exclaimed excitedly. “So in order to win you’ll have to beat them at their own game, by opening up to your spinning top and synchronize, balancing out your existence with its own and functioning as two organs in the same body…” Kenna frowned and stared at Imai, not used to the young man saying such deep things. She may or may not have looked a bit dumbfounded at this point. Imai however did not seem to notice it in his excitement over the matter. “If you do, you can tap into its power too! And since I thought you and Herakles would be a great team together… you know! Show the people at Galuna what you can do, Kenna!” The young stellar mage knuckle-bumped her fist, leaving the demoness lost for words for a split second, still trying to catch up to what she’d just been told. Though before she could ask for anything, someone had already swept Imai away for other business, leaving her on her own with the toy in her hand. ”Dear god… you can’t be serious that I have to attend and win a children’s toy event, right?” But Kenna knew fairly well that she in fact would have to do so in the end, especially after having confirmed the tournament actually being existent and in the process of taking applicants. And by the looks of it, Imai had taken the liberty of signing her up already too. The demon heir sighed. ”To Galuna it is, then…”

~~ 3 days later, Galuna Island, Challenger Village ~~

Galuna island seemed bright and harmless from the edges of village she was staying at together with the other participants. Challenger Village; a village especially designed and resurrected for the sake of the first Galuna Championships Tournament, to house and hold the competitors and spectators for the upcoming week of battles on Galuna Island. To the demoness’ surprise the spinning top tournament was far more than just a public happening where people made their toys fight. From the planning she’d received preliminaries were to be held on the first and second day, all battle royales with at least 10 participants, of which the winner was allowed to participate in the next bracket. After the battle royales the official tournament would begin on the third day, with a large festival to entertain the visitors that wanted to do more than just watch the many battles taking place. The battles on the third day functioned as a versus round with four participants, called “All Four One”, a nifty (yet to many rather lame) pun on “All for One”, with the intent of only allowing one winner per battle to proceed to the next rounds. What followed after were many more elimination matches between the winners of the third day on the fourth and sixth day, with a break on the fifth day to allow everyone to make preparations and take a breather. On the seventh and final day the grand final would be held, where the unbeaten blader Ryuga would be the most certain to await you in the battle royale dome.

Kenna stared at the schedule and sighed. Wonderful. Not only would she have to plow her way through several hundreds of participants only to be qualified to participate for the actual tournament, if she even managed to get as far as the finals, she'd be doubtful of beating someone like Ryuga. Although never having seen him in the flesh, Kenna knew far too well what he was capable of, through L-Drago’s destruction. She muttered something inbetween her teeth and took the small bag she'd brought for the occasion off her desk, fastening it to her waist with a dark belt. Within the bag she kept her launcher and Chain Heracles, along with an emergency repair kit Imai had given her before she'd left for Galuna. Not that it mattered much, as she had no idea how to even start repairing this thing... all she could do was hope she wouldn't have to either. The demoness got up and checked everything a last time before heading out, wanting to go and do some training by herself, more to get a grasp on how to handle this spinning top than anything else, but never got the chance to as a series of numbers were called to head to the stadium within the next half hour. Her number was among them. ”Crap… hopefully I can wing it through this round.” she muttered to herself, making her way towards the arena.

The arena itself felt like an illusion; from the outside it already looked enormous, but once inside one could actually see how gigantic the dome actually was. Kenna took a moment to gaze upon the many battle rings spreading before her, with several dozens of youngsters standing at the edge, fiercely engaged in conversations or stare downs with friends and foes alike. Seeing all these kids gather like this she felt old for once, and severely out of place. She bet she could be twice the age of some kids walking around this place, yet even so she was one of the smaller participants present. Only left and right did she spot the occassional adolescent, and even a handful of adults, which comforted the white-haired woman a bit. At least she wasn't the oldest one present. Once more her number was called, stating her and the others of her batch to gather at the battle stadium on the far south-east of the giant arena. Kenna followed along quickly with the masses making their way towards the smaller stadium, almost dancing through the crowd as she dodged several people in her attempt to move forth. Once there, Kenna realised she'd only be facing a multitude of children during this fight. With it, she missed the countdown while overthinking things, and quickly searched her pockets for the beyblade and launcher she needed to use; when she readied, the entire arena vibrated at the combined force of several thousands of voices shouting in sync. “THREE, TWO, ONE--- LET IT RIIIIIIIIIIIP!” The demoness failed to pull her string when the signature words were spoken, baffled by the mere thought of saying such nonsense, but got herself together just as quickly, launching Heracles when all tge others had already touched ground in the ring.

“This is ridiculous--- GO!” kenna shouted, pulling back the string through her launcher with a powerful jerk. Chain Herakles shot forth in a fiery blast, looking more like a blazing arrow shot from a powerful recurve bow into the stadium. The many beys already within the ring had been circling in perfect unison with one another when hers entered, smashing into the stadium’s surface with a large explosion. The impact had been far more powerful than she’d ever held possible, as when the smoke lifted Herakles could be found in the middle of a destroyed stadium; the last one standing. Audible gasps could be heard throughout the stadium’s crowd, and even Kenna stood gawking at the ‘stupid toy’ she’d launched only moments before. “You got to be kidding me…” she whispered to herself as the referee announced her victory in loud voice. Not that she was paying attention to it, as she was way too busy looking at her swirling toy. Slowly she extended her hand, and saw how it moved back, jumping over the edge back at her. Kenna plucked the beyblade out of the air and stared at it in disbelief. “This can’t be qualified for kids… definitely not.” The demoness ushered, clenching her hand and leaving the heightened platform to make way for the next ones to start their battle as soon as the ring was fixed. She couldn’t believe these toys had such power behind them… was this the magic Imai had been talking about?

As her group's winner Kenna was called to assemble at the nearest gate's helpdesk to await her next battle. Sadly for her, waltzing through several thousands of competitors wasn't as easy as she'd thought. In fact, her own victory has been one of the fastest, together with a handful of other bladers, and of course, Ryuga. His victory was one nobody could ignore… and definitely that wasn't because of LDrago erupting in its full glory to wipe his stadium clean. Although frightening to see such a display of power, the demoness found herself intrigued by it and nodded in silence. Yes. Ryuga was the real deal alright. So with nothing better to do than to await her next rolecall, Kenna made her way towards the spectator seats and decided to watch the remaining fights until it was her turn again.

When night was about to fall, all first round eliminations had been processed. Although it wasn't that late yet, Galuna Island was known for its early nightfall around this time of year; although the stadium hadn't been as packed as it was earlier that day, still a good few thousands of spectators and competitors were present. And with it, the question was asked to those that had survived the first elimination round and were still present; did they wish to continue their battles today, or rather postpone them till tomorrow, so they could get some rest. A few hundred agreed to make the battles take place immediately, and among them the demoness too did not see any ill will into doing so immediately. Best case scenario she would have tomorrow off to think of a plan. So she and ten others made their way towards a significantly bigger arena, with platforms for each individual to launch their beyblades from. Kenna prepared Chain Heracles and clicked it into its launcher, ready to fight. This time, adapting to her fellow competitors and having learnt so during the last fight, she added her own voice to the countdown as well. ”THREE. TWO. ONE. LET IT GO!”

Shit. Almost. But not quite. This time around, Heracles made its way into the stadium simultaneously with the other spinning tips, slamming into one when it crossed its trajectory and knocking it back out. The one he'd knocked into took another opponent's spinning top down with it, making it so that only nine spinning tops were left to compete within the ring… but these beys, something was different about them. And the demoness would soon find out what exactly it was that made them so different. Heracles touched down far softer this time, and immediately mingled with the beyblades in the arena, dodging and taking the occasional hit as he did. Kenna watched intently, having no idea what to do as her opponents were shouting commands at their toys within the arena. A frown perched itself upon her brow, wondering. It were just toys, why would it ‘attack with your Fire Spin’--- ”Oh my god it's on fire!” The demoness exclaimed, taking a step forward, but stopped when she saw nobody reacted to her sudden outburst. If anything, some of the spectators were even more excited than ever. ”Uh… anyone?” she tried, but got her focus readjusted when two of the spinning tops got catapulted out of the ring. She sighed in relief when pinpointing Heracles still within the stadium, duking it off against a grey beyblade. They seemed evenly matched, and as Kenna tried to find its owner met the gaze of a young man in his late teens, who gave her a cocky grin and gestured she was going down. ”As if! How did Imai do this again…? she mumbled, ignoring the guy as she looked upon her fighting spinning top. ”Uhm… go Heracles?” she said, and saw how the toy responded in kind, putting its back into it and breaking the stalemate of power the two were having. ”Then… er… Heracles! Push them out of the field!” she tried, and again Heracles obeyed, slamming into the metallic toy until it was thrown out of bounds. It lingered around the edge for a bit longer, to then turn its trajectory back to head for the center of 8the arena. Kenna stared at it, flabbergasted, still trying to comprehend how exactly it was listening to her. It was a toy! But then again… what was Pegasus? Wasn't it too “just a toy”? Yet it was alive. She could feel the life force within it every time it was near…

She had to think this through, but knew she only could when this battle was over. A single spinning top caught her attention when it left a type of liquid in its wake; one with a strange scent to booth. Her eyes widened at the realisation that the liquid was biting into the ring's surface, melting it away. Acid. Almost instinctively Kenna called out. ”Heracles, get out of there!” Heracles changed its trajectory and dodged the trail of acid, making its way back to the edge, where it lingered until the Acid spinning top came in its line of fire once more, ramming it full force. Sparks flew when they made contact, but the Acid spinning top was torn asunder as Heracles pulled through, bashing it into the stadium's side with such force it left a small crater. The impact took care of two other spinning tops that were duking it out, leaving Heracles as the sole survivor of this group. The other competitors had taken one another out. Another ‘flawless’ victory for the demoness, who knew but all too well she had only won this because of her own spinning top, whom she was beginning to see less like a toy and more like a weapon. But the fact she was winning without much effort brought something cocky to live within the white-haired slayer, a feeling that only grew more as she watched the battles on the second day, herself exempt due to fighting hers early on. A grave mistake, it would turn out to be, as she underestimated the power of her opponents. And paid for it dearly.

”WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT! HERACLES IS OUT OF BOUNDS!”

Kenna stared in disbelief at the metallic toy that just bounced past her and came to a standstill several feet behind her. Her mouth wrung into an inaudible gasp as she turned around.

    No.

    This couldn't be…

    Did she just… fail?

Post by Aura 22nd April 2019, 12:31 pm

The forests of Galuna Island gave no solace to the white-haired maiden, who sat defeaten among a handful of pillars; ruins of an ancient civilization. She stared at the ground, a deep frown breaking her pale complexion of her face. She was taken aback by the loss she'd suffered at the tournament… not because she had actually lost, but because she had failed Imai's request to win the tournament. The objective of her exam… and that brought her more regret than the loss at hand. If only she had taken this more seriously, she might've gotten further, maybe she might’ve actually won. But no, Kenna had treated these spinning tops more like overpowered toys than actual weapons, or even beings of power. If only… ”GODDAMNIT!!” Kenna roared, smashing her fist into the wall behind her. The old construction heaved and broke underneath the slayer's cheer brutal force, while Kenna growled a few uncensored words in her native demonic tongue. She'd have to have taken it more seriously. But her regret came too late, now she was eliminated from the tournament. And it pained her that she'd have to face Imai, telling him how she didn't succeed in her assignment. Letting the young man down weighed heavily upon the demoness. Another deep sigh escaped her body as she slumped back into a seated position and cupped her head, seemingly distressed.

”You don't seem to be awfully chipper today, aren't you, miss?” An man's weary voice echoed around her. Startled Kenna looked up, and jolted when an old man stood only 6 feet before her; she hadn't even seen him closing in… or heard, for that matter. ”Of course not… I mean, who would be after failing so badly?” The demoness mumbled, sighing once more. ”Not necessarily. Tell this old man your story, and he shall listen… perhaps even give you a word of advice?” Kenna looked somewhat warily at the man, but didn't think any further about it and told him about how she'd gotten Heracles, about her having to win the tournament and how miserably she had failed. Of course, severely summarised as to not give out too many details. The man did not interrupt her once during her narrative, and nodded in turn.

“Chain Heracles holds the power of both fire and metal within himself… just like you, young lady.” The man said casually, catching the Sabertooth Ace off-guard. “Wait, how do you know about that?” she exclaimed, but was met with a resolute answer instead. “How I do is of no concern to you, m'dear, what is… is that I know.” He couldn't have been more mysterious with his words the way he had been just now, much to the annoyance of the slayer, who got the feeling that this man may have a trick or two up his sleeve still. Caution was adviced. But the man continued relaxingly. “You may share his strength, but you do not share his bond. Without it you're just two halves of a single piece, unable to tap into your real power. A power that can only be unleashed through that bond…” The demoness frowned, wanting to say something, but was cut short almost immediately. “I suggest you get to know your bey a bit more, child. Try to understand it. Let it speak to you, and speak to it in turn. If you manage to do that, come see me again. We'll see whether you have what it takes to earn that wildcard for the Galuna Tournament's finals after all.”

”Wait-! A wildcard? You mean there's a way to get back into the tournament again???” Kenna exclaimed jumping forth, but was stopped by the man's extended hand. ”There is, but your worry is to get stronger first. As you are now, you’re not even worthy to try thinking about earning it. Tick tock kiddo, you only have three days to earn it.” The man shook his finger like a pendulum as he turned around, allowing for a dramatic silence before leaving the ruins. He had started the countdown for her with those words, and she had no time to waste nor lose.

She'd first thought about what the man had said, how she had to get on the same line as her spinning top, or rather, the entity within. How to communicate with it. Then she remembered the ruins, the stone tablet and the old civilization, where Imai had bonded with Pegasus… and it struck her that if she wished to make contact or even remotely converse with a being of ancient ancestry, she too had to find old civilization remnants to do so. Galuna Island, luckily for her, had more than enough of those to spare, and even more so in her favor was that one was merely a stone's throw away from her current location. She held the spinning top within her palm and stared at it for a short while, hoping for any sign of life within it; but the silence was ever so deafening. Her grip tightened around the beyblade. She would make sure to find that bond the old man spoke of, whatever the cost may be. And with that new goal set, Kenna picked up her pace, and started running through the jungle.

The way to the temple however proved more difficult than the demoness had anticipated, feeling how after merely half an hour her muscles started growing sore, her eyes heavy and her body reluctant to continue. Even when she tried to heal her fatigue with magic did it only make her more tired than before, until she found herself dragging herself along the old path before her. Something smelled strange around her, but she paid it no heed; the temple’s entrance was only a few hundred meters away from her. Kenna collapsed the moment she reached the temple’s threshold, falling unconscious mere moments after she'd hit the floor.

She woke up, startled by a strange yet strong noise echoing through her mind. The area she found herself in was dimly lit; she herself sat in the shadows, staring from the twilight the four giant firepits before her threw beyond them. They were stationed in a large square, each side up and about 30 meters of distance between the next, with the fire pits being the corner of each side. In the middle a large, chained statue stood motionlessly, but its eyes seemed alive, staring at her from within their petrified prison. Something about this statue was calling her to get up and walk into the light. Bewildered Kenna looked around her in search of an exit, but found nothing but endless darkness beyond the four firepits. There was no means of escape. Not from above, below or any other side. It made the white-haired maiden doubt about whether this in fact was part of the physical world, but part of the spiritual one instead. Carefully the demoness got unto her feet and made her way to the statue, that upon a closer look towered over her by at least a few feet. She walked around it, taking in each and every detail the statue had to offer, and ended up in front of its face once again, which she stared at intently. She stared at the crest on its chest, the mark resembling of the sigil upon her spinning top's face bolt. As if drawn to do so, Kenna placed her hand atop the sigil on its chest, and sent a burst of fire magic through it. Nothing happened at first, so she sent another burst of magic through the statue. She didn't feel it returning through the stone, which meant it was in fact absorbing her power… determined, Kenna placed both hands upon the sigil and unleashed the full burnt of her magic, which she otherwise kept in check, sending it straight into the statue at high velocity. Cracks appeared on the statue's surface, riddling through it like fiery veins until the entire thing had been covered with it, but Kenna did not falter and kept sending more energy into the stone being. More, harder, fiercer as she tapped into the fiery essence deep within her. All until the statue exploded.

Though what remained wasn't merely rubble and stone debris, but a genuine warrior standing before her. It's body had become an essence of pure red, glowing softly as a pair of silver eyes stared back at her golden ones. The demoness didn't need words to know who exactly was standing before her; a bulky man with long, wild hair, chains connected to his wrists and ankles. Heracles; the embodiment of her Chain Heracles. The giant warrior grunted softly, extending a hand with its palm upwards towards the demoness. Kenna stared at it but relented to the gesture, placing her own hand into his; safe to say her own hand could fit a least four times into Heracles’. She felt something burning with her palm upon touching his, but bit through the pain, even when one of its chains flickered and broke. Her arm stung painfully, and as she stared at it saw how the old burn reappeared upon her lower arm, along with the chain that had been stuck to her wrist in a not-so-distant past. She gasped and wanted to pull her arm back, but found it stuck within Heracles’ palm by an unknown force, unable to move it at all. The chain around her wrist suddenly slithered across her hand towards Heracles’, where it was met with the broken chain around his, and both connected their shackles to one another. Kenna stared at it in confusion, and shifted her gaze to look up at the giant warrior, who nodded softly. He let go of her hand, and despite their hands now being chained it felt like they weren't at all, much to the slayer's surprise. But in her surprise, she understood the symbolism, and what had just happened between them. She too nodded at Heracles, who seemed to smile before he backed away. He disappeared in a gust of embers, and with him the four firepits died out instantly, returning her to the darkness of her unconsciousness.

Again, Kenna woke with a startled expression, similar to how she'd woken within Heracles’ altar, but instead was met with the face of a familiar person rather than empty darkness. The old man she'd encountered in the forest earlier. “I'd never expected you to actually go there right away, child. You know these competitions take more out of you than you think… you didn't even manage to train with Heracles.” The old man mumbled shortly, looking at her with worried eyes. Kenna retorted quickly. “What do you mean? There's still time-” “You've been unconscious for three days, child. Today's the day that you can earn the wildcard.” Silence fell as Kenna stared at the old man in disbelief. “I know it's hard to fathom, but it's the truth. If I hadn't found you god knows how long you would've been unconscious for. But at least, you seem to have met Heracles during that time.” The old man said mysteriously, standing up from his seat. “Tell me when you're ready, child. Then I'll bring you to your trail.”

    - - - - - - -

Three opponents. That was all. She had to beat each of them in a one on one battle in order to pass the old man's requirements. Kenna knew she couldn't afford to lose, neither these matches nor the opportunity given to her to enter the competition once more. If not to win, then at least for her beloved little brother, who showed her that there was more to life than just this… all through something as simple as a spinning top he'd forged. But Heracles had indeed been the shackle she needed, to realise what she once was, and what she could now be if she but only believed in it. And Kenna believed; with Heracles she would cut them down and seize the top. Aim for sky. ”Choose your first opponent, Challenger.” The old man stated, facing Kenna. ”You. You. You.” Kenna said, pointing at each of the three competitors before her. A sly grin appeared on her face. ”I’ll take you on. All three of you. At once. And without another word, Kenna drew her launcher and attached Heracles, readying herself with a widened stance. ”Bring it on.” ”The Challenger has chosen! Her trial of fire will be Chain Heracles, versus Obsidian Hydra, Poison Ophiuchus and Granite Telescopium!” The old man exclaimed, clapping his hands. The stadium rumbled violently as he ground suddenly gave way for an enormous arena within, covering nearly the entire size of the stadium’s grounds. One side harbored the white-haired maiden, sparked with flaring fire that erupted around her. At the other side stood her three opponents, scowling at her haughty decision. But to her, it wasn't haughty. She was confident now that Heracles and her had properly bonded, that she would be able to release his full strength, and wipe the floor with them.

A single countdown. Three. Two. One. Two moments of silence before the joint unison of voices called out three words in complete synchronisation; Let it rip! Four spinning tops that hit the concrete of the battling ring beneath them. And five seconds in which Heracles unleashed the frustration it had been keeping to himself for all this time in a single move. The entire stadium was engulfed in an impenetrable cloud of smoke, clouding what was going on within. Flashes of light that flared as a deafening roar echoed through the forest; within the silhouette of a burning barbarian ready to strike. And six pieces of spinning top hitting the ground behind their fighters after it was done; each of them split in half. Both the old man and the three opponents supposed to be her trial stared at what she'd left in horror, while all Kenna did was recall Chain Heracles to her side. Her eyes flickered red before returning to their regular golden color. ”I do think this should suffice as proof of passing my trial?” The old man stopped his gawking and turned towards her. ”With this the Dragon Emperor will have a worthy opponent waiting for him.” The man smiled sinisterly, gesturing for Kenna to follow him onward.

    - - - - - -

The battle had been raging as soon as both finalists had released their spinning tops unto the field; said field a crater left behind by a meteor of ancient times, its surface smoothened to better accommodate to the stadium feel of a spinning top battle. Kenna was holding on surprisingly well, but found herself driven into a corner just as easily; Ryuga gave her chances, but in her eyes he was merely playing with her. Trying to drive her out of her comfort zone and into the wild battlefield he was intending on creating. She hadn't taken his bait just yet, and endured the many taunts he'd thrown at her, knowing she had to hang in there for Heracles’ sake. “You're just as weak as that redhaired little kid from a while back! You two look awfully familiar!” Ryuga cackled as LDrago kept slamming into Heracles without mercy. The spinning top held out only barely, tilting dangerously after every beating. Kenna was getting desperate, and didn't keep her eyes off Heracles despite Ryuga's taunting. “His puny little winged horse stood no chance against the power of my mighty LDrago!” Winged horse. Red hair. It couldn't be… Kenna tore her eyes away from Heracles for a moment to look at the Dragon Emperor, and back to Ryuga. ”What did you just say?” Kenna nearly hissed, but he seemed to have heard her regardless, as the grin on his face widened. Ryuga had found a way to taunt her at last. She seemed to know this kid he's beaten. “Oh yes, Pegasus was weak to day the least… and don't get me started on that kid. What was his name again? Kai? No, wait…” His eyes met her purposely, his slit eyes full of malice and taunting intent as he paused for s short moment. Imai, wasn't it?” Kenna's eyes widened in shock, but the shock almost instantly turned into rage as the pieces of this puzzle finally fell into place. This was why she needed to win. ”You… fucking bastard!!!!!!” Kenna roared, fire suddenly bursting up around her like an erupting volcano. Simultaneously a similar aura of fire flared up around Heracles, who seemed to get more footing and balance the fiercer Kenna's fire burned. The demoness’ golden eyes colored crimson, and as flames licked at her being her transitioning into her demon form finalized with long horns now protruding from her forehead, elongated pupils, and sharper nails on her hands. The flames around her died down, revealing how part of the stadium around her had been melted away and turned into a crater. This was the first time she actively showed her demonic form in public; what had otherwise been an experience she feared, the demoness couldn't care any less about it now. Not when Imai was involved. The world and its opinion could go screw itself altogether; she would not hold back any of her power if it were for Imai's sake. ”HERACLES! Break free.” The spinning top did not need anything else. With that simple order, a bright light burst from his core, chipping away at the chains on the fusion wheel until the many cracks made it explode. The chains had been broken, and Heracles was free once more.

Kenna had no idea what she was saying when she did, but it had felt right to tell Heracles to break free. And now his chains had been broken she could feel its overwhelming power course through the arena… through herself. The princess smiled. She felt the stinging pain in her palm resurface but it didn’t bother her a single bit; the chain from her dream reappeared in a spiritual variant, connected to the beyblade currently bracing itself in the stadium. Every time LDrago slammed into Heracles she cringed, realising that the link was more than just a link. They shared pain, stamina and power all at once. Which meant that if she went all out, Heracles would benefit from it too… An eerie laughter escaped her lips as she saw the confused look on Ryuga's face. ”Ryuga, Ryuga… if only you knew, you'd wished to never have taunted me into this form.” The glare she gave him was filled with a killing intent so intense even he took a step back. Kenna rose her hand up and spoke loudly. ”Allow me to show you what exactly I'll do to your ‘mighty’ LDrago… HERACLES!” As if pressured by an unknown force refueling its power Heracles blasted forth, impacting with the incoming Meteo LDrago at such speed that an explosion filled the arena below them. Tremors shook the entire stadium upon every impact, as above the spinning tops a spectacle of Heracles and the Dragon Emperor became visual. The red energy bursting from Chain Heracles took form in the shape of a humanoid, muscular man that clenched its hands around the neck of the giant dragon that emerged from the orange energy bursting from Meteo LDrago. The dragon seemed to struggle at the man's grip, twisting and sprawling to break free, but was tossed up and slammed into the ground.

”Don't let him get to you, fight back and show that puny guy who's the real Dragon Emperor! Go LDrago!” Ryuga roared as LDrago countered with a similar move; visualising as the dragon wrapping itself around the man and biting down violently on its shoulder. Kenna suppressed a cry of pain as she sunk to her knee, grabbing her shoulder with tears in her eyes. Fire flared up around her once again as she rose her head. ”Heracles, chain LDrago now!” Heracles recovered from its bouncing backstep and flew back into the offense, starting to attack LDrago from every possible side. Chains took hold of the Dragon Emperor as it was forced to a halt, intaking the barrage of attacks without rest. Ryuga growled softly and rose his hands. ”If that is what you want, then let me help you a hand! Roar now! DRAGON EMPEROR SUPREME FLIGHT!” Meteo LDrago's power level rose instantly as the dragon took flight, raining down its devastating power upon the seemingly helpless man below it. Another explosion tore through the stadium, smoke covering the two fighters and their beyblades from view. Kenna gritted her teeth as if she was afraid, but couldn’t hide the smile that crept upon her lips for long. ”I had hoped you not to be as foolish as that, Ryuga… attacking a slayer with such an half-assed attack?! Pathetic!” The smoke cleared, showing Heracles covering its face with both his arms crossed above him, the Dragon Emperor's teeth digging deeply into them. The same marks were visible on Kenna's arms, her sleeves had been torn and blood was slowly running down her arms, yet she seemed unfazed. Ryuga smiled at the sight, even when LDrago was pushed back by Chain Heracles, both now spinning silently in the middle of the stadium.

”Guess I underestimated you after all, woman.” Ryuga muttered, but silenced as she shook her head. ”I have a name, boy, Kenna. Kenna Terrynhain! And Imai is my little brother!” She gazed at Ryuga with demonic eyes, and although startled at first glance, Ryuga recovered quickly and grinned devilishly. ”You know what that means, Ryuga.” There was no amusement in her tone, yet her eyes sparkled at the very thought of wanting to overpower this guy who dared hurt her precious little brother. ”I don't care who my opponent. Even if my opponent is a demon, I will defeat anyone who stands in my way, do you hear me?! My name is Ryuga, I reign over this world as the strongest, as the Dragon Emperor himself!!!” Ryuga exclaimed at the top of his lungs, roaring intimidatingly. Kenna grinned, and replied in kind. ”Well then, Dragon Emperor, by my name as the Demon Princess, your reign ends here!!!!” Both knew the following move would be their last; the final clash through which the winner would be decided. The strongest. And both roared at the top of their lungs, releasing all they still had to offer in a single, all-decisive blow. ”ULTIMATE MOVE: Gatekeeper of Olympus! DESCEND!!!
    Dragon Emperor Life Destructor!!!”

Then, a deafening silence followed as both impacted. Moments turned into seconds before the true power of their clash erupted like a sonic boom, blasting through the arena and the stadium alike without restraint. The top of the stadium was obliterated, integrating into fine dust from the cheer force rather than debris, while in the middle Heracles and LDrago rose into the sky. The Divine Hero and the Dragon Emperor clashed; their avatars meters high as if a holographic spectacle. The spectators held their breath in suspense; even Kenna and Ryuga fell silent at the sight of their bey spirits come alive, the awe visible in their eyes. LDrago roared and charged at Heracles, who too faced the dragon head on with a chained palm slowly opening up. Kenna felt the pain in her palm flaring up more than it had ever done before, and averted her gaze to see Heracles’ sigil burnt within it. She gazed back up, realizing what it was doing and saw just in time how it copied one of her spells as its own special move… her oldest spell; Corrupted Fist. Heracles smashed its fist into the Dragon Emperor's face with such strength that another shockwave tore through the stadium, blowing both finalists off their feet. And explosion followed as both bey spirits vanished and smoke arose, filling the entire arena and beyond. Debris rained down around them, along with a curtain of dust that made it even harder to see. When the smoke and dust cleared, the arena was reduced to a broken battlefield, a gigantic crater reaching meters deeper than it originally had. Within it, LDrago laid motionlessly, Heracles wobbling dangerously next to it. With the voice of the commentator announcing her victory, the stadium erupted in a deafening roar for the new champion. But Kenna couldn't hear it anymore. Together with Chain Heracles, her world stopped spinning as both fell unto the ground.
