Strang Vulcans! Part 1 (Aria & Paresse)

Jin walked down the path leading up to the forests. As he saw the sign for the forest, “Warning: Spooky forest in .6 miles” he shook his head in disbeleivment that there was actually a place known as ‘spooky forest’ actually existed. “It I not my place to judge.” He reminded himself, continuing to walk with his dagger by his side.  “However, who ever named it wasn’t thinking straight.” He muttered underneath his breath.
 
Today, Jin, and Jun, would be helping out with a special request. Apparently there were some Vulcans running amuck in the forests and were occasionally getting out of hand. ‘I see no way to avoid it, but I’m not happy about the use of violence required.” He spoke, nearing the forest as he could see the outline of it. Jin didn’t particularly like violence, and usually didn’t pick missions that required it. However, he didn’t pick the mission.  Jun was the one who picked the mission, and even though her views are almost the same towards this subject, however she didn’t think things through. When she picks out missions she usually just looks at the title, then the reward.
 

However, Jin knew he would have a partner, and hopefully that would give him motivation to fight. Was a natural leader, and would never let his team mates, or in this case team mate, down. Jin looked up at the sky as he got to the forest, and stopped walking. Looking at the watch on his hand, he looked back up. “Now, were would my teammate happen to be?” he asked himself.

Aria has no idea how many times she had been to the Spooky forest. Most of her jobs had taken her this way so she had quite the idea what to expect inside the forest. This time it was to investigate the strange activities of the vulcans. Usually this mischievous creatures wont stray too fa r from the forest. But a nearby village has now asked for assistance, the vulcans had gone bolder  and is now raiding the farms and nearby houses. Stealing the towns people's hard earned harvest. So as a representative from Blue Pegasus, she was tasked to investigate this anomaly, with another mage from the guild Soul Eclipse. "That must be him." the girl thought as she saw a man standing by the forests edge entrance.

"Hi, you must be my partner!" she spoke to him. Looking at him, he must be about the same age as her. Bleach blonde hair, fair complexion and a stoic face and fierce eyes. She reached his hand out to him and said "Hello, my name is Aria Seyfried." Shaking his hand the continued. "Sorry for the get up, but this is how I usually dress up." she gestured at the mask on her face and the cape on her back. She looked at his facial expression and said "So shall we be going?"

As Jin stood there, waiting, he could sense the presence of another being coming. As he turned slightly to the side, he saw that there was a person standing in front of him. At first he couldn’t tell who, or what the person was, however, it didn’t take him long to figure it out. As she grabbed his hand, shaking it, he smiled.
 
“You so polite Ms. Seyfried” he said bowing his head. She had no need to introduce herself for he already knew everything he needed to know about her thanks to his “creeper” ability. However, he was not aware of her standing as a mage, nor was he aware of her magic. "My name is Jinshiro Paresse," he told her right s she apologized for her appearance, he merely smiled. “No need to apologize.” He said with a gentle, kind hearted smile. “You express yourself, that is a very admirable thing.” He said, patting the girls shoulder. It would appear from her voice and her height, however, he knew she was around the same age as he was.
 

As she asked Jin if he would like to go into the forest with her, he turned around. Taking the knife from his side, he used his memory make magic, adding on metal and ice particles from his memory and turning the 6 inch long dagger, into a 5 foot long, blue katana. “Yes ma’am, I suppose we shall.” He stated, walking in front of her. “I shall go first, if you do not mind.” He told her, starting to walk into the forest.

Well what about that. The guy was using some kind of rare ancient magic, Memory make. In all her travels there are she had encountered other mages who had memory make magic but not to the extent where they could re-create object trough thought alone. She watch the guy lead the way hacking and slashing his way trough the dense forest under growth. She giggled a bit. Such chivalry. It was entirely unnecessary though because she can always hover, still she did not want to let his efforts go in vain so she floated low, following the route that he was taking.

Inside the forest, it was dark. It was still early in the morning but here, she could hardly tell what time it was. Because of the thick forest canopy, the sunlight doesn't reach the forest floor anymore, that how dense the vegetation was inside. She could also feel the presence of the forest inhabitants paying attention at the two intruders. Eyes everywhere were staring at them. Even the dead are looking at them. Wayward and lost souls who know that she could see them are waving their hands at them. Their smile though a bit creepy are genuine and warm. Its rare to see people who don't run away in terror upon their sight.

They continued on the path they were on, until finally they hear the distant shouting of vulcans. Finally they were in vulcan territory, which means they have to e very careful. Though vulcans can look dumb and brutish, they are actually smarter than the lead on and usually work in packs. They have to be careful, they are now in Vulcan territory.

As Jin and the girl continued walking, he realized it was a fairly quiet walk. She didn’t speak much, however, that did not bother him. He was a man of little words himself and knew to respect those just like him. However, he did stop about 3 or 4 minutes after walking. Sticking his hand out in case the girl had not noticed, but they were there. Either in, or nearing the Vulcans territory.
 
He was about to say something, when 3 vulcans popped out from behind the trees. The three walked towards them, laughing and snickering. 2 of them seemed fairly strong, and big, however, one of them seemed fairly weak. “I’ll take on 2 of them if you wish.” He stated. However, before he could even wait for an answer, the two stronger ones charged for him. He leaped up into the air, however, even if he hadn’t both attacks would have missed. As he landed on the ground, he quickly spun around. As he attempted to slice into the two Vulcans. They both managed to block, however, one of them blocked with his arms. He yelled in a bit of pain as it had appeared that Jins katana just barely cut the Vulcan.
 
The two looked at jin and snarled. “I am sorry about that, but I am afraid I cannot let you continue onwards.” He told the Vulcan, lifting up his arms and preparing for an attack.

It was just a few minutes since they crossed into Vulcan territory when all of the sudden vulcans came out to greet them, and not in a nice way. “I’ll take on 2 of them if you wish.” her partner said. She was about to object but it was too late, the guy already rushed towards the two stronger looking one. With a sigh, she looked at her would be opponent. It did seemed weak than its counterparts but here in this creepy forest, she had learned to never underestimate any creature that dwelt in it. Or she could end up regretting it later on. "Ok, here I go!" with that she went on the offensive.

She blitzed through the forest, appearing and disappearing like a specter. Her movements were a bit erratic, confusing the weak looking vulcan. When she was within range  she halted dead on her tracks, then stretched her right hand out pointing toward the overhanging vines.  The vines started to move, untangling themselves from the tree they hang from then like agitated snakes dove towards the vulcan. The vines wrapped around its arms and legs. Its torso and neck.  Having no intention to kill the creature, she blinked behind the brute and delivered a massive chop at its neck causing the vulcan to loose consciousness. "That was easy." she said as she turned around. But as soon as she did, the vulcan snapped out of it. He was just feigning. The brute broke free from its entanglement and was about to do an armlock on her, so her instinct kicked in and released an Explosion of Souls. There was dust and leaves falling everywhere, she had no idea if it hit the over sized monkey or not.

Unknown to her, the explosion she caused was quite loud that it caught the attention of a nearby gang of vulcans. The curious gang decided to head towards the source of the commotion.

Looking down towards the 2 Vulcans below him, he lifted up his hands. “I wonder if Vulcans have memories.” He asked them.” or at least, do you have remorse? Or things you regret?” as he asked this, 3 orbs appeared in front of him. “I’m a sorry for what you might experience, but you brought this upon yourselves...”  the three orbs then flew towards the two Vulcans. One of them leaped out of the way, however, the other was too slow. As it smashed into the beasts head, he yelped in pain. Jin wasn’t sure if that was because of the smash, or the memories flooding the beasts head.
 
As the beasts body fell to the groun, Jin looked up to see the other Vulcan charging towards him. “Alright then." The Vulcan lifted up his hand, attempting tp bash it into Jin, However, Jin wa faster. He leaped out of the way and lifted up his sword. With a swipe, he dug it into the beasts skull, causing him to hit the ground. As he turned his head, he realized that one of the weaker Vulcans that his partner was dealing with decided to come to jin. ‘Well then,” he said, dodging the first attack. “I suppose this means we will be sparring for a while.” However, before he finished talking the beast continued to charge right for him.
 
Jin managed to dodge his next hit, however, he wasn’t sure if this was going to be enough, Hopefully he will tier out. He thought to himself as the Vulcan delivered a third attack.

Out of the myriad of ghost heads that erupted, only four managed to go towards the vulcans way. And all of them he managed to block. No more miss nice gal. Lets see if he can block a point blank attack. She blinked closer towards her victim then yelled "Specter Explosion!" A magic circle formed around her but it fizzled right away. The vulcan noticing the light, turned around and gave her a hefty punch ending her flying a few meters back. Well that was stupid. She forgot that spell was still on cooldown. She had to improvise. Raising her hand up, rocks and dead tree trunks began to levitate, and with one fluid motion, thrust it forward towards the vulcan. The trunk impaled the vulcan in all the right places, avoiding hitting it in vital areas. In short he was now trapped under a a pile of wood and rock.

She had barely recuperated when out of the shrubs three more vulcans emerged. The curious group of vulcans upon seeing their breathren trapped under the rubble became agitated. Beating their chest the brutes let out a blood curdling growl. And they charged a upon the Ghost mage. "Cant I get a break?" Feeling exasperated, her eyes lit up and a green aura shrouded her, as if she was on fire. Then the aura began to swirl around her, uprooting trees, lifting anything and everything around her.  Ther was no stopping her now. The vulcans sensing danger tried to run away but it was too late. They were being pulled in by the force. They were thrown around like rag dolls, bumped against other hard objects which she had accumulated over the past few seconds. Then sent them flying away.

Jin and the Vulcan looked at each other. They were silent. Neither one of them moving, yet both of the looking towards each other as if they were reading a book. This is getting us no were. He told him self. The Vulcan turned his head and Jin began to glow a quick, yet strong light. He shrank down a few inches, however, he became smaller, and soon after, he was no longer a he. Jun stood there now, he little military uniform and the katana in her hand. “Enough of this crap!” she shouted. “This got us no where, enough!” she shouted.
 
“what.” The Vulcan asked her, looking at her with confusion. “I thought.. Wait,… man a women now?” a smile grew on his face as he took a step back, yet  leaned forward. “it fun time.” He muttered. She clenched her fist, the the Vulcan let out an unsettling roar. As she covered her ears, she noticed that it ended quickly. “What was that?” she said, then realizing that something was rustling in the tree tops. As she took a leap back, 2 more Vulcans landed in front of her. “Women!” they screamed. Looking at them, they seemed much weaker then the one who was already there.
 
A smile grew on Juns face as she lifted up her hands towards the group of three Vulcans. “Fine then, lets play!” as 7 little tornados formed, each about 2 inches long, she swiped her hand. All 7 flew towards the Vulcan, however, only about 3 of them hit. As the Stronger of the three Vulcan stumbled back, the two newer, and weaker ones, were on the ground. “really, a bullet to the head? The electrical shock must have fried there little brain.” It was then that the other Vulcan charged. She smiled, and flew up into the air, dodging the attack.

Her attacked worked. At least on two of them. One of the hurled vulcans, though badly badgered managed to cling unto one of the tree vines. With swollen eyes and bruised lips, the beast stood erect atop of the tree, beat upon its chest, and then let out a loud roar. The sound was loud enough to attack the attention of two vulcans who were currently foraging nearby. They dropped the bounty they had in their arms and imitated the actions of the latter, beating their chest and roaring out loud in unison.

"This is bad. If this keeps up, soon the whole Vulcan tribe would be upon us." though Aria. It is well known that vulcans have a closely knit community. When one calls for aide, the whole tribe comes. And that is exactly what might happen if she doesn't do anything. Aria followed the source of the sound and it lead her to the one that survived her attack. With debris still hovering around her, she launched them straight at the vulcan hitting him in the chest, the head and his groin. If that did not do the trick, she doesnt know what else can. "Now for that other one."
