Job Requirements: Stop whatever is happening at the shoreline and report back with information gathered.
Job Location: Any shoreline in Earthland. (Islands, port towns, etc.)

This shark takes a whopping 30 C rank spells worth of damage to destroy, and with each bite deals 2.5 C ranks of spell damage! Any other type of attack it does only does 1 C rank of spell damage.
Reward:
7k jewels to each person involved.
Access to part 3 of the job series!

Wearing her Azure Armor over a blue t-shirt and black skirt with white tennis shoes, Victoria had been called here by Martha, the red-haired woman who had called her to help with another shoreline problem a few months ago. Victoria walked to the front entrance of the resort lobby and was almost bowled over by the woman in question when the sliding double glass doors opened. Was the situation really that bad?
"Oh, thank the Wizard Saints you're here! We've got another problem! Animals are popping up everywhere and this time there are dangerous ones!" Martha exclaimed to the brunette.
"What kind of animals are we talking about?" Victoria asked.
"Frogs, hermit crabs, crocodiles..." Martha started before Victoria raised a hand.
"Wait, what? Crocodiles on a beach?" Victoria asked skeptically. She knew that they could survive in freshwater rivers and ponds, but she did not know that they could exist on beaches. Then again, she was no animal expert.
"Yeah. And it only gets worse. There are reports of a giant shark in the waters off the coast!" Martha added. Victoria was appropriately alarmed by that bit of information. A shark in the water would all but kill the tourism trade both metaphorically and literally.
"OK. I'll handle it. Just point me to where I need to go." Victoria said to Martha. The redhead pointed to her right, towards the beach.
"We've evacuated all the people off the beach, but we're losing money because other people won't get near the island and our current guests can't enjoy the beaches that are the island's main selling point. If we don't put a stop to this, we'll go out of business." Martha told Victoria. The stakes were certainly high, so failure was not an option. It rarely was for the brunette.
"I'll handle it. Just be warned that there might be a lot of noises." Victoria informed the redhead before walking off to the beach.
"GOOD LUCK!" Martha called out. Victoria stepped onto the beach and began looking for the first animal that was threatening the island's economy.

Victoria walked on the beach looking for any animals that needed removal when she spotted them. Two crocodiles lying on the beach and facing the ocean with their mouths open. It was funny that they were lying on abandoned beach towels like tourists, which in a manner of speaking they were. It was unfortunate that Victoria would have to serve them an eviction notice because they were killing the island's livelihood. The reptilian beach-goers turned their heads towards her and looked, then shuffled off of the towels and started moving towards her.
Victoria brought out her Silenced Sniper Rifle and took careful aim at the head of the first one. It would have been a lot easier to use her Light Machine Gun, but she did not want to frighten the tourists any more than they already were with the sounds of gunfire unless the threat warranted louder weaponry. Right now the crocodiles could be dealt with using lesser weaponry.
The brunette aimed at the head of the first crocodile and fired a Kinetic Shot that hit and sent it spinning head over tail onto the sand, where it bled out. She aimed for the head of the second crocodile and repeated the process, firing another Kinetic Shot that sent it spinning head over tail. It too sprawled on the sand and bled out. With that threat taken care of, Victoria moved on to deal with the next animal threat.

The Sabertooth mage kept walking along the beach until she spotted conical shells with spirals that housed large hermit crabs. They all stood up and raised their claws at her as if trying to scare her away. The undaunted brunette quickly raised her rifle and fired at one, hitting it in the face with a Kinetic Shot and sending it sprawling to the dirt. A second one began to walk menacingly in her direction, so she fired and killed it with a Kinetic Shot to the face.
The third scuttled towards her while wobbling from side-to-side, but she simply waited until a chance presented itself before firing. It was hit in the face with a Kinetic Shot and was sent flying backwards, plowing a trench in the sand until it came to a complete stop. The last one was almost at her feet when she aimed down and shot it in the face just before it would have passed out of range. It was launched backwards and landed shell-first into a sand dune, lying there like a six-legged ice cream cone waiting to be picked up and eaten.
With that shell game over, the brunette continued her quest to clean up the beach.

Re: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Island...
After disposing of the crabs, Victoria walked along the waterline just out of the reach of the lapping waves and looked off into the distance. Moments later a giant dorsal fin rose from the water in the distance and began gliding towards the beach. The brunette squinted and saw that it was attached to the giant shark Martha had warned her about. The shark was swimming towards the beach and looking for an appetizer. It surfaced and Victoria saw the magnitude of the shark facing her... it was double the length of a speedboat and almost as big as two put together.
Victoria only had one solution to this problem. She dispelled the Sniper Rifle and brought out her Rocket Launcher. A problem this big deserved equally big firepower. She aimed for it and waited for its mouth to open as it swam towards her at a speed that was faster than its size suggested. A line from a movie about a giant shark terrorizing a coastal town her adopted father took her to see a few years ago came to mind.
"Smile, you son of a bitch!" Victoria growled before firing a Bunker Buster rocket into its mouth. The shark swallowed the rocket and its head soon went up in a geyser of blood and flesh that spewed everywhere. Victoria screamed and ran for cover as meaty chunks of shark rained down on the sand. The giant shark threat had been ended in a truly decisive fashion.

Re: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Island...
Victoria had escaped the shower of blood by hiding under an umbrella that had been conveniently left out, presumably by a hapless beach-goer. She gave a fist pump and waited until the chunks of meat stopped raining down, then stepped out onto the sand and casually walked past basketball-sized chunks of shark meat. Picking at a chunk that landed further down the beach were four more giant hermit crabs.
Victoria dispelled the Rocket Launcher and brought out her Sniper Rifle to pick off the feasting crabs. She steadied her aim and fired a Kinetic Shot into the body of the first crab, killing it instantly. She repeated the process on the remaining three crabs, picking them off one by one until none of them remained standing.
With the four crabs dead, she continued to search the beach for more animals to kill. She wondered what else she would encounter on the sweep for animals threatening the resort's livelihood.

Re: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Island...
Walking past the chunk of shark meat that had attracted the giant hermit crabs, Victoria had just passed the bloody chunk of meat when she spotted another four crabs feasting on part of the shark's head that had been thrown to the beach after the explosion. Victoria knew what to do with these guys.
The brunette took careful aim and went for body shots. She fired a Kinetic Shot and killed one, flinging its corpse across the sand and making it slam into another chunk of meat. She repeated the process on the remaining three, killing them with a single Kinetic Shot to the body and making them fly around like someone scattering checkers on a checkerboard. This job was pretty easy for the experienced mage. Victoria did not mind easy work at all because the Jewels from easy jobs spent just as well as Jewels earned from harder jobs.

Re: We're Gonna Need A Bigger Island...
Victoria walked past the dead crabs and walked past more chunks of dead shark until she came across a cluster of ten frogs sitting in place. They were not much of a threat to her; the biggest challenge they offered would come from deciding what weapon to use against them. The Rocket Launcher would definitely be overkill and so would the Grenade Launcher. A Light Machine Gun would be too noisy to use and a Grenade or Sticky Grenade would be both overkill and noisy, but she soon thought of another option.
A Flashbang. A Flashbang could do the job nicely. Even if the blast of light did not kill them, it would at least blind them long enough for other means of disposal to be used. Victoria dispelled the Sniper Rifle and formed a Flashbang in her right hand. She then threw the gray cylinder towards the frogs, accidentally crushing one that the device landed on.
Moments later it went off and killed the nine remaining frogs with a loud CROAK. Victoria blinked. That was it? She shrugged her shoulders and walked on, looking for any more wild animals to deal with.
Once she was satisfied that none were left to threaten the beach or the resort guests, the brunette turned around to go make her report to the resort manager. There was not a lot to say other than more wild animals had turned up and had been disposed of, including the giant shark that would have posed a great threat to ships had it not been explosively removed from the ocean. Martha would be glad to hear that the threat was over.
-Inside the resort office-
"I dealt with all the animals. I even killed that giant shark that you warned me about." Victoria reported to Martha. The redhead breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at her.
"I'm glad that you dealt with them all. I'm especially glad that you dealt with that shark because it could have destroyed passenger boats and killed a lot of people. Thanks to you, we just might recover from this incident." Martha told her.
"I'm sorry I couldn't determine a cause for the animals taking over the beach. I'm as stumped as you are. But I've killed all the wild animals I could find." Victoria gave the last part of her report. The redhead was pleased to hear that.
"It's OK. The important thing is that the animals are dead. I'll send out a cleanup crew right away. They'll be busy for awhile with that dead shark." Martha said. She then handed Victoria a bag of Jewels.
"Thanks." Victoria said while pocketing the Jewels.
"No problem. You've saved our livelihood for the second time. Hopefully this is the last time we'll have to deal with animals taking over the beach." The manager said hopefully.
"I hope so too." Victoria seconded the sentiment.
"I won't keep you any longer. See you later! And thanks again!" Martha said as she waved goodbye to the brunette. Victoria took the nearest ferry off the island and was soon headed back to the mainland. This had been an exciting trip to the beach.
