"M-mother! This outfit does not need corrected! STOP MANHANDLING ME!”

A thrust of her arms gives her the nessessary means to push her mother away before she looks at herself in the outfit she was given by her mother. Usually, she enjoys the outfits that her mother has picked for her, this one doesn’t pique her interest as much though. Regardless, she was here to try and have a good time, not to be indirectly reminded of what she was wearing.

Her mother has decided to selfishly start a party for the Liu family and for anyone who wants to join. There is enough drink and food for thousands upon thousands of guests, and it was all hosted in Sakuramori.

Gulping, Mia looked down at the cherry blossom leaves that have gently decorated the floor and she then crossed her arms lightly.

Soon, a little flappy-eared creature appeared from behind, and sat on her lap, they were also a little accessorised, as they had a blue flower-based necklace on.

“I can’t help but think mother has done this to help arrange a marriage for me. There is no other explanation for this sudden, loving party.” The girl admitted as she then turned her head to the creature. “This is complete poppycock.” She then gazed at her mother, who seems to be talking to a group of strapping young lads.

The girl sighed. This was not her type of scene.

“Momo, lets just hide. If I see any of my lovely friends, I shall go speak to them, but until then, I am just gonna eat my life away!” She spoke as she then trailed over to the huge amount of food.

Naturally, Momo joined her master. She was very attached to them, after all.

Zachariah didn't get out to Sakuramori very often, but never regretted each trip.  He was wandering beneath the canopy of sakura trees, admiring the champagne-colored blossoms that littered the floor and enjoying the quiet.  Today he'd decided to wear his Sunday best out.  The outfit was comprised of a white button up with long, sheer sleeves and embroidery.  His black slacks hugged his form, and he wore the same pair of white cowboy boots he always did.  He wandered around Sakuramori for a while, in search of a nice view, until he heard what sounded like a daughter arguing with her mother.  Zachariah tried to ignore it, but as he wandered closer to the source he began to smell the lovely aroma of fine food and drink.

He decided to mosey on closer, wondering if someone was in danger.  When Zachariah found the source, he saw the food and the rest of the party.  "Crap," he thought and facepalmed.  "I forgot the Liu family was hosting a party."  Figuring it would be rude to up and leave, Zachariah hesitantly entered the party.  He wandered over to the food table first and noticed a girl gorging eating alone.  He hesitated, trying to think of something to say quickly.  "Hello," he introduced, shyly swaying on his heels.  "I was in town and I couldn't help but notice the party.  My name is Zachariah.  Do you maybe have room for one more?"  Zachariah wasn't much of a party type either, but was determined to at least make a few friends.  He knew the Liu party was an open invite, but didn't know how to properly start a conversation.  He didn't want to sound like he was intruding or inviting himself and tried to act as natural as he possibly could.

Walking into the party,Luna knew it was an open invite but she hardly expected to sense such a level of magic energy gathered in a vicinity, she expected guards but then again, an open invite means that other wizards could show up. She decided to dress in the only formal attire she owned, the kimono passed down to her from her mother, who received it as a wedding gift as it was one of the few Mira family heirlooms. After entering, her gaze looked around the party as she started to wander about.

She was in the area visiting her mother as she and other nomadic fairies were gathering for some fairy festivities, Luna never spent such a long time in her fairy form in her life to date, so she was slightly wobbly when she returned to her human like form. She saw that people were starting to gather around the food table, she slowly approached the end of the table, and picked up a glass of wine gently in one hand before walking away slowly, around, not quite mingling as she was keen on getting to see all she could.

Her fingers rubbed the back of her neck as she recalled that her guild mark is usually concealed, she wondered if that was a good or bad thing right now, but she knew it wouldn't matter. She wasn't dressed to be picking fights.

"Interesting" Cetus murmured looking at the mansion. It still felt weird to be walking around without his mask. However, a client wanted information on this house. At least he thought it was this house. The client had rambled on and on to the point where Cetus completely tuned her out. Now the assassin was glad he'd chosen to wear a proper suit today. There was some kind of party going on inside the mansion. Straightening his lapels, Cetus strolled through the door. A few people nodded to him and the shark man nodded back amiably. No need to start a fight here. What was it people saw in these things? The free food?

That thought made his stomach rumble. It had been a while since he'd eaten. Perhaps it would be prudent to grab a bite. Cetus drifted over to the food table, passing a girl in a filmy white dress gorging herself and a man dressed in a white black combo. He stepped up to the table just as a woman with pink hair was leaving it. Cetus nodded politely and began filling a plate for himself. There wasn't any raw meat, mores the pity. It was strange to him that people didn't eat raw meat. There was a strange need for everyone to cook everything. The shark man took a little bit of everything before he started to eat.

Kenna had been on the road when her long-lost mother had delivered her a message; a surprise party for Mia, her younger half-sister. The entire family thing was a change for the demoness, something she had to get used to, but couldn't help it when the invitation came in for her to attend as well. Even if it only was to strengthen the bonds with her new family... but she realised soon enough that the reason she had headed back to Sakuramori wasn't just that. She wanted to get to know them better, in every possible situation. Learn what it was like to live like a family, share good and bad moments with them, things she never truly got to experience. She could now. Those 23 years of not knowing she had a mother still very much alive; that she had siblings, that she shared the same gift of fire with them. There was so much she still wanted to find out about them, so much still to learn. But she no longer needed to do that alone.

So it was with glam that she had arrived at the Liu homestead a little bit earlier than planned, taking her time to change into her fiery dress while Mia was being tended to by their mother. Frankly, Kenna could only guess at what the true intentions were behind their mother's organising this party out of the blue. She had no idea what went around in her mother's head just yet, but with a bit of luck she could learn something about that from her younger sister. The white-haired demoness had forsaken her signature colors and had opted for a dress she'd normally never wear; a long, sleeveless dress that started out red at the top, but midway faded into a bright yellow, the pattern of the fade resembling a vivid flame. The otherwise prude Sabertooth mage had switched out her covered chest for a commendable cleavage, one she already regretted five minutes in if she had to be completely honest. She felt awfully exposed, but due to the lack of better replacement, she kept wearing it.

With her arms across her chest Kenna watched from the sidelines as people flooded into the room. Each had their own style, their own backgrounds. Some people she recognised and greeted, but most were strangers to her eyes. Yet all of them, whether she knew them or not, looked stunning, to say the least. The slayer smiled somewhat amusingly. Yes, she had missed this. She spotted Mia moving towards the tables holding a large variety of food and drinks, and as she trailed her eyes over the rest of the room saw how their mother was making conversation with a group of eye-catching gentlemen. Kenna frowned slightly, wondering what she was up to, and turned back to look at her younger sister, enjoying some of the food she'd decided to sample. "Might as well go and say hi." The demoness said more to herself than anyone else, and moved over to the table. As she did she noticed a young man had started talking to Mia, and couldn't help but swoop on in. Kenna felt like teasing both and came from behind, wrapping her arms around her younger sister's shoulders out of the blue as she popped her head over her shoulder, the Sabertooth symbol on her inner arm perfectly visible. "Having a good time, Mia? And who's this strapping young man, a friend of yours perhaps?" she grinned mischievously, giving the young man a teasing wink. It might have been a big sister thing, but she couldn't help it. Doing this was stronger than herself.

Zachariah's hair began to stand on end when he saw the fiery dressed woman before him.  There were so many different people at the party, he didn't know what to do with himself.  He flushed pink in the nose when the woman winked.  The prismatic-haired mage suddenly became unsure, wondering if he should flirt back.  The woman seemed like a friendly person.  Though, what piqued his attention the most was the Sabertooth mark on her shoulder, fully exposed to the world.  He thought about boasting his mark as well, but realized it would be inappropriate to show at a party, as it was on his chest.  Beneath the thin fabric of his shirt, the black tattoo was slightly visible.  But, he was conscious of his scars that were also visible.  The lilac colored, lightning scars on his neck and jaw were exposed and were also visible on his torso through the white of his shirt.  He'd met few other Sabertooth mages since he joined, so seeing her was an exciting change.  There was a strange, almost supernatural aura about her, but Zachariah didn't judge.  After all, he knew how judgment felt from all the times he'd received nervous eyes from strangers.  Zachariah was a traveler, a hermit almost, he didn't know have much experience when it came to, well, people.  Since joining Sabertooth, however, he was determined to put himself out there a bit more, make some friends at the minimum.

The Liu house was grand, and he discerned that the fiery dressed woman seemed to fit in quite well.  Zachariah felt ridiculously over dressed, suddenly wishing he'd looked a bit more relaxed and comfortable.  He was awfully nervous and felt like an outcast in the swing of the party.  There was not a familiar face in sight, and never, in all his travels, has he seen so many people in one place.  His stomach churned with anxiety, as if something dangerous would come with such a giant crowd.  But he relaxed and plucked a glass of champagne from the drink table before attempting to make conversation with anyone.  A country boy used to guzzling his liquor, he didn't savor or sip the drink, and quickly downed it rather.  He wished there was something stronger at the party, but it was enough to boost his confidence a little bit.

"My name is Zachariah," he introduced and made brief small talk, feeling slightly more confident now.  Small talk seemed to be the best he could do at such celebrations.  "Lovely party, isn't it?  There's, uh, lot's of people here," he added.  Despite the large amount of people, he couldn't seem to wrap his head around the sheer number of wizards nearby.  The magical wavelengths that resonated throughout the room was nearly overwhelming, especially that of the woman before him.  The Sabertooth mage appeared very friendly with the other woman, whose name he learned was Mia.  "I'm also a Sabertooth mage, actually," he said, feeling obliged to add.

The fact that everyone seems to be doing thier own thing seems to be doing quite well for the young Liu family member. Nobody seemed to be noticing her either. Her hiding technique went well then! Picking up a leg of cooked chicken, the girl bit into it gently before ripping the part she bit off away from the leg itself. She then looked over to Momo and then offered Momo a piece of chicken.

“You know Momo. I wonder, why are your ears so floppy? Exceeds usually don’t have that.”

Momo chuckled before she gulped down the piece of chicken that was given to her.

“Well, I’m glad you asked! That is because us exceeds can look mostly different. While most have wings from what I saw, I instead, happen to have floppy ears.” She admitted before glancing around. “I urm… need to go powder my nose, I will be back in a jiffy.”

Waving Momo off, the girl sighed. All alone and nothing to do, she finished the leg of chicken, chucked it at the nearest bin she could find and whispered to herself when it landed in the bin nicely.

    “Nailed it.” She chuckled triumphantly.

Looking at the gorgeous selection of cakes, she shook her head and then picked up another chicken leg. Savoury before sweet, as was always the case.

Mia was just about to move onto the bowl of crisps when she heard a voice behind her. They said a friendly hello, but this made Mia quite nervous… Her mother didn’t send him to her, did she?? Nah, that’s not likely. She was hiding, and her mother seemed to be still talking to the gentlemen. Well, thats from what she can see anyway.

Apparently, the guy didn’t notice the party, and this made Mia smile in an embarrassing way, it seems that he was completely safe from her mother’s influence after all.

“H-hey.” Mia greeted the guy shyly. “I’m-”

Suddenly, a pair of arms wrapped around her in a hug, and she then listened carefully. It was none other than Kenna, her older half-sister! And funnily enough, she asked if Zachariah was a friend of hers.

Before Mia was able to answer, Zachariah answered for her and then proceeded to complement the party while asking at the same time about the party.

“It’s okay.” Mia answered before scratching the back of her head, smiling some more. “I’m not exactly used to this crowd though. Then again, it’s a party, I have to embrace it, hahaha!”

Mia… didn’t know what else to say. She did, however, place her hands over Kenna’s arms and looked to the food once more.

Luna approached the food table, she noticed that the man she noticed earlier was walking away, she was worried that passing by them would be rudely interrupting something. However now she noticed that it seemed the girl was in the embrace of another dressed vibrantly. However while their magic auras were differing, Luna noted that the life force emanating from them had some similarities. Coupling the visual and sensed data, Luna guessed the two were well acquainted, guessing perhaps cousins.  She noted the man, but figured better to stop trying to read the room before someone noticed.

Luna approached the table and the variety of food was astonishing. She wondered what was the point in having such an extravagant party. She didn't know much about the Liu's aside from their wealth. When she passed the two girls, she noticed something out of the corner of her eye and shot a quick glance noticed the blurs of gold on the forearm of one and the outskirts of a white symbol, wizard tattoos. She couldn't make out the the exact symbols, but she did not want to intrude. She grabbed a cookie before she walked away. She hoped that she wasn't intruding, the party was an open invite.

However she stopped when she had heard the man say the name Sabertooth. Her heart skipped a few beats as she slowly turned around and addressed the man, hiding all traces of nervousness in her voice. "Excuse me, I don't mean to rudely interrupt did you just say Sabertooth?

In her head, she was starting to get a little anxious given her interactions with the Lightning Dragon Slayer, and she did not want to make a fool of herself tonight. She figured better to rip that band-aid off instead of staying ignorant and hoping. "Would you happen to know if Indra, the Lighting Dragon Slayer in your guild is also here tonight?" She was hoping for any answer other then yes.

As more and more people gathered around the food table, Cetus became increasingly more irritated. Was this what parties were all about? Inane discussion and needless introductions? He'd have to pass on future party jobs unless he was killing someone. There was little to keep him entertained otherwise. As he began to turn away from the table, one of the mages said something. 'Lightning Dragon Slayer'. From Sabertooth, if he'd heard things correctly. Could it be? That stupid mage that had gotten in his way a few weeks ago? Cetus had completed that mission by the skin of his teeth. Learning a little more about this mage might give him an edge the next time they met. And something told Cetus, they would meet again.

The shark man moved next to the pink haired mage who'd spoken. He pasted on the most dazzling smile he could manage. No need to set anyone off. He was only here to observe. When Cetus spoke, his voice was at a higher octave and had a distinct tone to it. One that spoke of unicorns and rainbows. "I couldn't help hear you say 'Lightning Dragon Slayer'? He wouldn't happen to be that gorgeous mage that saved me the other day, would he?" Cetus fanned himself rapidly, a slightly dazed look in his eyes. That was what happened when people were fantasying...right? "I would just love to meet him. Could you set that up for me, darling? That would be just fantastic. Or better yet tell me where I could meet him?" Cetus started as if he realized something and put a hand to his forehead. "Oh dear me, where are my manners?! I'm Marrazo, sweetheart. Be sure to mention me to your friend." A coy smile slowly curled over Cetus' lips. Hopefully all of this would help get him the info he needed. Otherwise, it would make everyone here think he was a weirdo and leave him alone. It worked out either way for him.
