Markus watched the empty streets with a measured gaze. He felt comfortable in this realm, but knew it belonged to the primordial Death, as such the chaos mage was certain to be careful and stay safe. Taking a deep breath he followed the pale female who had called herself Demi. He watched as she opened a portal and could tell that it traveled into Void.

Markus could feel it again, the pull of chaos, the strings back to her domain. The chaos mage had yet to master how to return to void. He knew it was a variation in when he rips though air and teleports but keeping such a portal open long enough to return to void was no easy. Getting ready to step back through Markus allowd chaos to envelop him again, and protect him from the shifts he knew Void held.

Markus heard Demi speak, and did not take long to decide. Honestly, he had no issue with the company, any more than he did with solitude. With a nod he shrugged. “Feel free, I am just traveling through Void.” Markus did hope she checked in at Fairy Tail. He knew if anyone could help them, they certainly would.

Markus was unsure how he felt about her other remark. Markus did want her to know he had not forgotten about her, or their night. But, if she were to learn of Markus’ input into Demi joining the guild, it would only lead to more questions. In the end, he nodded back at her. He did miss the guild, as well as those of its members. However, he was still unsure if he did not agree with Aporia and had yet to decide if he was going to return fully.

Taking a step forward Markus once more felt the strange sensation of Void enveloping his essence. Traveling through the domain of the primordials was always strange for the chaos mage. It felt as if he was nothing and everything all at once. He could feel as Time vanished, and Space faded, as everything he once knew cleared. Glancing about Markus felt as if he was floating, swimming, standing, all at once. There was no ground below him, no sky above him. He knew, if he willed it, he could travel in any direction. If he wanted, he could get lost forever within the void and forget all about his troubles, his issues.

Some days, the chaos mage considered doing just that.

The mage waited as Demi followed him. Turning towards the female he spoke up, “Well, you seem to know how all of this works better than I do. Where to?”

Death and Chaos enter a Void [Job, Demi] Empty Re: Death and Chaos enter a Void [Job, Demi]

Post by Yuiisai 15th December 2018, 5:07 pm

Demi looked to the other wondering if he was feeling any better, given he wasn't albino like her or any other death touched she could only guess he came from another place within the void. She wanted to ask but given the two had just met she believed it would be rude to ask about if he felt better feeling his part of the void or even ask where in the void was his. Death was a strange thing after all as so longs there was something living within it, those like her could get there and do their job but those like her were sparse within a realm you would think covered in beings of death. No, she was no regular death touched but a child of the primordial death itself, she like her twin brother Oykai were reapers. The ones that seen the final moments of a persons lives, well more than that they were the ones that made it happen. They had to live with the memories of what they had done to these people and continue as if it was nothing, she at times felt like she was back being a tool within the place that had raised her since she had been born; being forced to murder and do other terrible acts. The albino woman knew that this was indeed not the case and had she been raised here it wouldn't affect her as much, she couldn't shake the feeling though but this was only part of her task. After reaping a person they were then expected to take said soul for their judgement and deliver them to the final resting place decided by death's angel, even amongst immortals there were people who made mistakes and so on occasion reapers would become hunters being told to find souls that had fallen through the cracks. She disliked all this but what was she to do? Disobey the one that gave her life? Go against what her very blood was telling her was natural? It was quite a dilemma for her.

Hearing his words brought her back to her own senses and nodded "Then I will accompany you for a while, it is about time I learned of this place." she admitted slowly stepping through the portal without precautions, she had been through hell in the mortal plane for longer than any of her kind would like to admit, forced to live in light which for her was deadly but she had managed to survive because her body needed to adapt but it was still very painful. Unlike her now travelling companion her body instantly adapted as if it was something natural to it, she could only guess that this was because she was a natural denasin of the void regardless of reason she was just glad her body adapted without issue. She knew that Rui had recently joined a guild and was thinking perhaps if she joined this person's, that she could find additional ways to help the one she had been paired with within the facility they both only knew as 'home'. "Rui's known as Ruvel by most I would expect, he joined the West Fiore Trading Company; I'm sure if you ever need help he will help you, he's a kind person." she said giving what she believed was essential information. Her eyes closed for a moment as she allowed the neutral energy flow over her body, it was something that she wasn't use to and would still take a while for her to get use to the silence and nothingness that the void gave, it was both strange and yet comforting to the woman.

She opened her eye a little hearing his thoughts once more "Markus, you realise within this place because there is no other noise I hear your thoughts so much clearer. I am sure she misses you as much as you miss her." she said her eyes opening fully as she began to move forward in a random direction allowing him to take in the information that she gave him. To be honest she had no idea where she was heading but she did feel a pulling "Seems like work calls." her voice seemed depressed as she spoke those words, within the reason she was but she was unsure if it was because if this was because what she meant to do or the fact she was being used as a tool once more. "This isn't exactly normal but would you care to come with me? I guess you'd find out about one whom would be your ally eventually most likely and this might answer some questions you may have. The choice of course is yours." she said with a small shrug to her it didn't really matter either way, her hand coming forward and a scroll appearing opening it she began to read it as she walked mumbling something underneath her breath "Now, I see why Oykai became a hunter." she said more to herself than to her companion, now she wished she had done the same but at the same time those like her done both but that wasn't exactly a well know fact even to those who were reapers as only those of the highest calibre had been sanctioned to do such a thing.

Pausing suddenly she remembered what the other had said and shook her head her hair fluttering around her like a flurry of snow "No, you would be wrong about that Markus." she said looking out towards the the emptiness of the void "I wasn't raised in the void, I was raised in the Earthland in what I now have come to understand to be a dark guild." she said calmly as she began to walk again, she really didn't want to get into it as this would get into subjects she couldn't mention as it may place Ruvel in danger which was something she didn't intend to do full stop.

Markus as always enjoyed the Primordial Void, it was so clear, so empty, so solitary. The chaos mage had, on more that one occasion, allowed himself to just flow with its energies. Of course, that has in more than one occasion gotten him in trouble, such as having to fight that strange creature, however it has also lead to some interesting insight such as finding he well, and learning truths about just how dangerous his magic is. Though those scared him, he knew the Void held many more secrets, and much for him to discover.

He listened as the other woman talked, it was surprising to know that she knew of the West Fiore Trading Company. Markus himself had been on a job once, long ago, with a member but other than that he knew nothing about the organization, or its member. He had never met a man known as Ruvel, though with what he knew of the female in front of him he believed her words. She seemed to be of a matching spirit to his own, a sense of self morality despite the words they are apart of. As such he nodded, making sure to remember the name should it ever be needed.

Markus raised an eyebrow as she informed him about this place, its emptiness seemed to have some danger as well. The chaos mage was unsure how he felt about this, after all he still valued his privacy. Thinking back to his training the mage started to work harder on keeping his surface thoughts to himself and from projecting. He would find something to focus on, in order to close his mind. However, he knew he was rusty at such skills, and honestly if he only blocked some it was enough for him.

He watched the woman, as she seemed to close her eyes and contemplate before suddenly moving off in a random direction. Without question, the mage followed her certainly interested in what unknown force she felt. After all, he had his own tether and guide, he was not surprised a being of death would have the same. Markus remember what Aporia had said about Primordial beings when she was ‘schooling’ the mage, she had informed him very little about death other than to be cautions. Then again, she had said that about all of the primordial beings she spoke of, even those who seemed most benign. From what Markus knew, Primordials were fickle creatures, and most lay over some universal law or understanding. It is within the void they live, and from them the gods and demons came about, before creation very little is known, and none of Markus’ ‘teachings’ had informed him of said time.

Markus nodded to the woman when she broke his train of thought, “Lead the way.” Was all he said. He watched as a scroll was summoned, but kept back. After all, if it was some secret he did not want to be rude reading over her shoulder. Sooner or later the mage assumed everything would make sense. Who was he to question the way things work. He was never really one to care, and seldom one to question.

When she paused and looked back at him, speaking once more he again raised an eyebrow. Dark Guilds were certainly dangerous yet he knew of none that raised children. To be fair, Markus knew almost nothing about Dark Guilds and had only worked with their members on a few jobs, always without informing them of his own allegiances. The chaos mage was not one to question peoples choices, though he knew there were certainly evil people in the world and he had dealt with them plenty of times. He certainly assumed that her being raised was certainly not an ideal environment, however he was not sure if it was prudent to ask for details, or request more information.

“I  can understand… bad.. childhoods, mine was certainly no where near as bad as growing up with a dark guild. However, I know the feeling that can come with isolation and heartache.” Markus did not know why he said it, in fact he hated talking about his childhood. However, since Chaos unlocked his dampener the black clad mage had started to better understand empathy and compassion. Things he never before cared about, he always noticed and understood others emotions yet he was never one to… care.

Markus continued to follow the female, glancing about and gaging what was around him. Every once in a while he would close his eyes and allow his body to ‘feel’ the Void, its flow, its paths. He was starting to feel the domains, the realms. The mage was starting to learn when they got close to one. He was pretty sure that if he had concentrated on that more, he would have never ended up in Deaths domain.

Death and Chaos enter a Void [Job, Demi] Empty Re: Death and Chaos enter a Void [Job, Demi]

Post by Yuiisai 19th December 2018, 9:57 am

The youthful albino woman continued to walking silently but her blood ruby eyes turned towards the other whom at current was following her, she had to admit he was an odd one not many outside of the voids natural touch would want to wander its expanses as usually the cold and unending lonliness eventually got to them. She couldn't help but wonder why he seemed so completely at peace in such a place, when she herself a child born of the void was still adjusting to its energies and sway. To be fair it was as if reuniting with a piece of her that was seemingly always missing but at the same time since she had never had the piece she never missed it and so with it now back in place it made her somewhat uncomfortable within her own body. It was indeed a strange feeling and it was not something she had shared with anyone as she knew they wouldn't understand, well how could they they had been raised where they had been born in the forgiving embrace of their home realm away from the harm of the realms outside it. She remembered people always speaking of the dark as being unforgiving, mysterious, unknown and deadly but she had only seen those aspects from the side of those who lived in the light and it made sense in all honesty. Then again she was the mysterious and unknown monster within the unforgiving and deadly shadows, this was what she was taught to be but little did she know this was actually in a more universal scale.

For the moment she looked at the other she watched his magical aura twist and turn, become placid before becoming volatile. There was no mistaking it in her mind her current traveling companion was touched by chaos and that could make him unpredictable in her mind, still he hadn't shown himself as a threat and had his head squarely screwed onto his shoulders at least for now. The long white haired female understood that just like his energy that could change at any point, she really did dislike those whom had been touched by chaos. This was nothing against Markus himself but through personal experience within the facility that she had met Ruvel in when they where indeed younger, then again those touched by chaos there that even showed the slightest hints of losing control were put down and experimented on to find out what went wrong before they tried again. In her mind it was a horrible cycle and pitied the reaper that had to do such a task, they would have seen that they had done nothing wrong, that their own crime was trying to survive but then that raised another question that had been buzzing at the back of her mind, why didn't any reaper try to help her in the past? They all must have had a unique energy to let one another know what they were after all, this was yet another question for a later time it would seem.

She smiled a little as she thought of the one she was paired with while in the facility, how he was so much weaker and fragile than her physically, yet how he took everything they threw at them to protect her from harm, how he gave everything he could to make sure she was at the best health she could be given the circumstances. She thought him a fool then and even now the same, though now she knew his true age it surprised the death goddess just how strong he was spiritually and the strength of his morals and convictions were. From those she had killed and reaped these traits were rare even in older people that had lived for millennia so wondered how a fragile and physically weak child could hold traits that strong, physically fit and healthy adults and ancients rare could. She just chalked it up to being one of those mysteries that the universe would never let her know, either that or they had a strange sense of humour; either way she was glad that Ruvel had a rare strength that he could call his own even if most would believe it or couldn't see it. "Rui is a vice president there, he is being groomed to take over the company. He however is fragile, weak and in comparison to ones like us or even normal humans very sickly. He is strong in his own way however, he would make a good ally." she said as she quickly changed directions continuing to move forward.

After a moment she swivelled on her heels and looked to the other as she stopped mid stride, it was rather graceful the movement almost as if a dance step as she realised something. "Markus, you said you were trained to hide your thoughts from people. That training is likely useless to those who are of the void and use telepathy to speak to one another, you should know however that nothing heard is ever spoken of as we pretty much only tune into what is being said to us the rest is white noise." she started to explain before going silent for a moment as she looked up "If you wanted I could teach you how to hide your thoughts from void dwellers, I taught myself how to do it after I realised I had telepathy and got paranoid that I'd be found out given where I was raised." she brought her ruby eyes down to look at him "It won't save you from my cousins abilities but normal people of the void it would be as if you aren't there, I know they complain quite a bit about me not being able to be 'sensed'" she said believing that if he may still be uncomfortable, she knew that people liked their privacy and that the mind was one of those sacred places that no one had the right to enter without permission. "I don't know if you are still having issue with privacy of the mind or not, or even if you've come to terms with it. I just know privacy is a thing everyone deserves and even to my kind the mind is sacred and isn't entered without permission. Regardless I thought I would offer you some extra protection just in case." with that she once again turned on her heels and started to move once more towards wherever it was she was going and leading the other.

She felt the other wondering about what was driving her, if it was something like his own guiding tether "You realise the only force in the whole of the void that has a guiding thread is the chaotic realm and even death feels that one." she said honestly as her pace quickened a little "Death works a little differently well at least for reapers regardless of the branch, if there is life in a place we can get to it. I would love to say we can only get to it if it's linked to death or if we have orders to go hunt or kill it but that's not entirely true as some reapers go off script for whatever reason." she said calmly on the back of her white neck a black gem would be seen gleaming a little in what little light there may have been, inside it runes moving though he wouldn't be able to read them. "Normally we get a scroll telling us whom is needed reaping, where they are and how they are fated to go." she said calmly as if this was a run of the mill thing "Children are the hardest apparently, not for me given how many I've killed in the past without mercy because I was told to do it." she wasn't a heartless person she just learned how to compartmentalise to deal with the tasks she had to do while in Cor Tova's control.

She listened to him as he spoke about bad childhoods and shook her head "Cor Tova was no walk in the park and many that went through what myself and the others of family did passed away in a hellishly painful way." she said her voice showing sadness "I put a few out of their misery myself and took the consequences of those actions but I couldn't bare to see them suffering like they were." This would be proof enough that she wasn't without morals, a code or even emotions unlike her previous statement might have led someone to believe. "I allowed them to slip into a sleep they would never wake from, I allowed death to take them to a life that would be without pain and suffering." she spoke softly, almost compassionately about the horrible act that she had done after all even for a good reason she had still killed those people. She didn't care if the other agreed with her actions or not, he wasn't there to see and feel what they were emotionally and physically put through, the constant fear they all held if classed as a failure. "You best start learning to compartmentalise Markus, if you don't it may lead you to meet a reaper before your time as people will use such things against others." she offered the chaos mage a little advice, she had no idea as to why she done it but she felt it was needed none the less.

It was now she stopped, her clothing changing from the dress that she was wearing to a black and white gothic lolita dress with white stockings, dolly shoes and a matching bonnet. If you weren't there she could have easily passed as a china doll. Her hand move forward as she brought the scroll forward allowing the scroll to unscroll the text facing towards where she was "Grant us passage on behalf of death so I may do my task as it's daughter and take the one named on this scroll to their its embrace and final judgement so they to may know peace." she said her tone calm and respectful yet at the same time there was clearly an undertone of dominance showing it was going to happen one way or another, that this was nothing more than formality for both sides to save face. After a few moments a portal much like the one she had created to leave her home area and enter the void appeared "Seems passage has been granted, after you because the entrance will close after I enter." she said waiting to see what he did before doing anything.

Markus spoke no words as he followed the pale woman, instead he though to himself. He knew he should be more cautious, more concerned. To be fair, he knew nothing about the woman, and knew very little about the void. Yet, the chaos mage could not get himself to care, to worry, to feel. It was strange, how much his body, his mind, had adapted to the dampener placed upon him by Chaos. Even with it removed his natural state is blank, emotionless, clear. It felt comforting, normal, he had never had an issue turning his brain off, and just doing… nothing.

That was what he was doing now, enjoying the solitude of the place, the vastness of the void, even if he was not alone. He knew, they were so small, it mattered not. In the end he found himself meeting the other mages gaze, his blank eyes matching her red ones. He cared not for the contact, many thought eyes were the windows into the soul. Markus knew, that only was the truth if one used their eyes to hold emotion. Markus’ as always showed nothing, and as such he had no fear to meet any creature, any being, human, god, or otherwise in the eyes.

He listened as she spoke again of the one known as Rui. Now he knew what to look for, at least in part. He nodded to her talking and thanked her for the information. Should he ever find need to speak with those in the West Fiore Trading Company, it would be good to know a name, and have an ally.

Markus contemplated her next offer. After all, if he could hide his mind, even just the surface thoughts, he would feel much better, in the end he spoke up. “I would appreciate the training, and advice. My mind is my own, and even if there is moral codes in your own race it would just make me… sleep better, knowing I have some protection against those not guided by the same codes.” The chaos mage said quite passively. In the end, he did not care to insult her, or praise. He merely felt a way, and would not be swayed differently on that path. It made sense for him to be able to hide this ‘projection’ she had spoken about, after all magic is vast and the mage was certain her race were not the only one with such abilities within the void.

Markus cocked his head as she spoke of the feeling he had within the void. It sounded very much different than his own ability. After all, his was not a tether, but another person pointing his way, one who had lived within the void for millennia. Yet, he felt no need to correct her. If anything, he would learn more of other void dwelling beings. A guiding tether was an interesting though, he wondered just who all could sense where they were going within such a place. Markus himself was only just starting to learn to see the hints and signs of the void as it slithers around the realms.

He listened carefully as she spoke about Death, and its connection to locations and realms, even it seems that of Chaos. Here could care less when she spoke of their orders, their hunting, their job. That of the realm he had visited by accident Markus assumed. She soke of how they learned, how they got their orders. Then she spoke of children, and of a much harder job. Markus cocked his head. He honestly did not care, it was the cycle of things as Chaos had informed him. Death, Destruction, Creation, Life, it was all the same to her, a cycle, never ending, tireless. He could care less when she said she had killed children, on orders. As far as he was concerned that meant it was their time. The chaos mage himself had never killed a child, but he had never needed to, and he took orders from no one but himself. In the end, it was her finally comment that threw him for a loop. It was so random, so strange. Compartmentalization was one of the few things the chaos mage excelled at. Taking a life, saving a life, he never cared for. Until his dampener was removed emotions were nonexistent for him, and even now only few things, few people, brought those out of him.

“It sounds like you did what you had to, I do not fault your choices. Orders or no orders, your whims are your own.” The chaos mage said passively. She had said it herself, there are Reapers that went off the scroll, even if they were punished that meant she had a choice in everything she did, and from what he could tell she did not regret giving them an early end, putting them out of their suffering as she put it.

When they finally stopped, she watched as her clothes changed, and warped. He raised a curios eyebrow but was unsurprised. His own Vestments, created over the last two years with void magic, did much the same thing. Adapting to his whims and desires. Shrugging his shoulders, he willed his outfit to change in such a way that it did not stand own to her own. Becoming a black suit, with white accents. After all, wearing a heavy sleeveless coat with much of his chest showing looked out of place in most locations.

He did not question her when he was told to move forward and passed through the portal passively, touching the edges of his magic just in case things turned violent.

Demi allowed the one whom seemed to be her current companion to go through the portal knowing the moment she passed through it, it would snap shut and that would do neither any good given the two were trying to get a feel for the other. This wasn't exactly unusual for the void and those who dwelled within it, shadows and such liked to play tricks so sight wasn't the most reliable sense here. Then again she actually wondered if sense was reliable here in all honesty, illusions affected all senses after all if the person using them was skilled enough. Her cousins alone had proven that on many occasions after all. "This is the realm of shadows, trust none of your sense if you want to survive long enough to leave here." she warned as she walked through the portal behind her closing. She began walking carefully, even she was cautious here though she had been here a few times. As a death goddess they knew to be wary of one like her but she also knew to be wary of them, as there was always going to be a few idiots that would try something just to see if they could get away with it. Like hell they ever would even if she couldn't do it right away she would make sure that any that crossed her would meet their fate in a most terrifying and slowly agonising way.

Hearing the other accept her offer of teaching him how to defend his mind against those like her she nodded "Very well, I'll also help you learn to communicate like ones of the void if you like. Many of the races speak the way my own do and that is through telepathy, of course this comes with its own issues if you are not ready for it." she said stopping briefly to look at him "Taking in so many voices at once is enough to send a person insane, but given who you are aligned with that might already be the case with you, irregardless I will help teach you how to communicate and block out all but the one or ones you are wanting to communicate with." she tilted her head and looked up a little as if thinking "Depending on your mentality, this could actually be a two way street as you would be able to pick up what is being thought and send your own back to the person in question but this tends to be difficult for humans. Then again you aren't exactly a normal human anymore are you void touched." she said in a thoughtful manner as she began to start walking again.

She then realised what she called him may be seen as rude and so turned her blood ruby eyes back to him "Void touched is not an insult here by the way... well it can be depending on context." she said said changing direction quickly and continued moving "In this context it is not, I view void touched as an enlightened type of being." she said going no further than that, she would if the other asked but for now she seen no reason to "Anyway, what can you tell me of your homeland and guild? We're going to be walking for a while, this one is going to be a pain to track especially since it is in this realm, their is only one more place far more annoying to do my job in the void and that is the realm of chaos." she said a hint of annoyance heard in her voice. Much of the void was structured in some way, shape or form but when it came to that one realm there was none and one wrong move could even end one like her for good.

All the while she was going over what he said about doing what she had to and not faulting her choices, yeah that was a joke. Ones like her never had choices, well that wasn't entirely true they had one set of choices. Do as you were told and succeed so no other action was taken upon you, do as your told and fail and be classed as a failure so your 'training' was upped until you were no longer classed as such or blatantly refuse and be severely punished and most likely killed. "We had no choice but to do as we were told and do it well, the alternatives... yeah... lets not." she said in a very cold voice showing it wasn't something she liked going into.
