Personality:
With her characteristic pretty smile and high-pitched voice, Venus Rigel is quite a fireball of activity. Apparently happy-go-lucky and carefree, with a somewhat reckless spirit fueled by her high optimism and curiosity, Venus seems to have issues with sitting still. Adding these to her almost uncanny sense of balance and dexterity, she’ll be the one to try climbing the rock face first, or attempting to pick a complex lock, just for the fun of it. In the eyes of many, including older folk, Vee seems like an airheaded and foolish schoolgirl, with a heavy tomboyish streak and an oddly placed naïveté. Yet Venus is not above using her feminine charms to attempt to manipulate things to her favor, quite aware of the fact that she’s a hottie. She is vain, to an extent, about her appearance, and seems to appreciate it greatly when complimented on her appearance.

For all this, despite the apparent flightiness of this young woman, closer interaction with her reveals a deeper, more sensitive individual. She is a lot more intelligent than she lets on; as a matter of fact, she is way, way smarter than the average Jenny, a trait that compliments her natural inclination to engineering and inventing. An ironic sense of humor and quick, playful wit are further signs of her hidden intelligence. She is also very sensitive, although she hides most of her feelings behind her jumpy exterior. Shier than she would like to admit, Venus finds a bit of difficulty approaching people and making friends quickly, although once befriended, one could not ask for a truer friend. She is quite polite to friends, acquaintances and strangers. Enemies should not expect similar treatment. She is easily attracted to kind and gentle people, and dislikes cruel folk and bullies.

As far as friends are concerned, Vee is supportive, obliging and gracious, willing to shoulder their problems, although she has the bad habit of not wanting others to help her with hers. She will defend a friend or guild member, even if they’re wrong, but you can be sure she’ll give them an earful, or sometimes even a handful, when the situation is defused. She is very trusting to those close to her, and takes betrayal very badly. She is not easily wronged (punching you in the face because you said or did something stupid isn’t her definition of being wronged; she can just as easily do something nice for you in the next second), but when wronged, Venus does not forgive easily, unless she gets to understand and accept the reason she was wronged. She will easily overlook a wrong, should she see that the wrongdoer is sorry. Vee loves to cook, and will cook meals for her friends and guildmates without being asked. Unfortunately though, her desire to experiment means you’ll probably eat some rather unconventional dishes, courtesy of Venus. They tend to taste nice, so don’t ask for what she put in the soup.

In battle, Venus is an intelligent and strategic fighter, and will use everything, including the environment and perceived weaknesses of an enemy to her advantage. She isn’t sadistic, though, and doesn’t like long fights, seeking instead to quickly finish her battles, unless she’s very angry, in which case a frightening aspect of her will show. She will not lose control and fly into a berserker rage, but she is more masochistic and just as sadistic when very angry, almost as though, in such a frame of mind, she finds feeling pain and causing it exciting. She views unnecessary killing with a lot of distaste, though. One thing to beware of Venus, in any event, is her sharp tongue, which she will use freely to get under her opponent’s skin, in the hopes that they will get angry and make blunders. Of course, this is a double-edged sword, as it means that she may suffer more punishment, should she be at the mercy of an enraged opponent. She is quite proficient in unarmed combat, utilizing acrobatics to close distance between herself and her opponent, before engaging in quick strikes and grapples, when close enough, as well as longer-ranged punches and kicks for an opponent who is trying to draw away. In hairier situations, she favors a double sword style, focused on quick, acrobatic motions. She’s also quite good with firearms.

As far as leadership goes, Vee is a good leader, with her high intelligence and ability to make rational decisions under pressure. She also cares for those associated with her, and can thus be expected to take courses of action that will be for the betterment of her team. Even so, Venus doesn’t like leading, and will be quick to defer the responsibility to anyone else willing to take it. She is a good follower, and will try to be supportive and helpful, as long as her leader does not boss her around or go against her ideals. If this happens, she will simply refuse to cooperate, although she can swallow her pride and do whatever is necessary for the goal to be achieved, if she thinks it is important. Venus actually respects and admires selfless, strong and benevolent leaders, because they remind her of her father. She still misses him. A lot.

-Treasure hunting: Having grown up with treasure hunters, it’s Vee’s life.
-Mechanics: Whether it be inventing a ’gear-sword’ or tinkering with the innards of an airship, Venus knows her marbles when it comes to such tech stuff, having been one of the engineers on her father’s airship.
-Beauty: Cute people (especially boys), art, cute animals, environmental panoramas, name it; if it’s got aesthetics, she’s a fan.
-Sweets: Who needs a logical reason to like ice cream?
-Cooking: Having learned to cook from her father, she also delights in trying out any recipe that comes into her mind, and seeing people’s reactions to them.

-Traitors: One turned her life upside down.
-Demons: One screwed her life upside down.
-Bullies and tyrants: Having been under one, any bossy, overbearing or power-abusing behavior reminds her of her dark days.
-Bitter things: You have to be mad to say you just love the taste of aloe vera.
-Bugs, vermin and other crawlies: Because, eww.

Motivations:
-Revenge: Venus’ greatest desire is to get strong enough to kill the demon Tenebrys.
-Protector of the Realms: Vee desires to reach a level wherein she is strong enough to defend Earthland from any external threat, should the need arise.
-For My Friends: Venus desires to be able to protect and defend those close to her, and to this reason, she trains and strives everyday to get stronger.
-Bonds: The fact that Vee has people she can call friends, colleagues, anything, gives her the strength to live, because she doesn’t have to face the world alone.

Fears:
–Tenebrys: Having ruined Venus’ life, Venus fears that the demon will come for her when she isn’t strong enough to face her.
-Losing My Mind: An aspect of the demon Tenebrys is inside Vee, and she fears that the demon, ever seeking to influence her, will eventually succeed in taking her mind.
-Claustrophobia: A childhood experience, in which Vee was locked in a tiny enclosure has stamped the inordinate fear of closed spaces in her.
-Don’t Die: Venus, having lost a lot of loved ones in one fell swoop, dreads having to live through losing another person dear to her.

Appearance:
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder, so goes the saying. Nevertheless, the majority of individuals with an understanding of general human aesthetics would find the form of Venus Rigel to be quite the work of art, with a rather attractive face, many striking features, and remarkable curves, despite her diminutive stature.
Perhaps the first interesting feature to note would be her hair. Full and of a platinum-silvery hue, it crowns her head and falls gracefully in soft, silky, straight locks, down to the small of her back, while her bangs are swept to the right side of her face, obscuring much of that part of her forehead. Mostly, Venus prefers to keep her hair tied in a ponytail, but when at home, it is usually left to its own devices. Her eyes are large, soft and bright green, accentuated by thick eyelashes. While appearing beautiful and innocent, there seems to be a strange air of unexplained mystery about her eyes when gazed at intently.
Venus doesn't have size on her side, thanks to her unassuming height, as well as a  slim and somewhat petite frame. Yet nature seems to have been generous to her in other regards, as Venus is quite curvaceous and boasts of a rather ample bust, broad hips and shapely backside. Her body is well-proportioned and her muscles, while toned, are hidden enough to present her with a deceptively soft appearance, making most observers underestimate her physical abilities, a view she seems totally uninterested in refuting. Her skin is well tanned with a healthy sheen, and not so much of a hint of a scar. There is what looks to be a tattoo of the kanji “圖” (“zu” meaning: image, diagram, drawing, blueprint, etc.) situated over her heart. While it may look like a merely cosmetic addition, on closer observation, the mark looks strangely natural, like Venus was born with it. It also glows ominously whenever she uses her magic; the glow isn’t very obvious in normal light, but is quite evident in dim light.
Venus’ motions are quite elegant and unforced, with a slight risqué coloring. Running from the frisky and casual end of the spectrum to the other extreme, which is high-class and polished, her dress sense seems to be a lot less modest, and Venus seems to be more comfortable in minimalist clothing articles, and explains this as a lack of desire to waste clothing materials. She does seem to enjoy wearing jewelry, so it may be more of a desire to flaunt her curves. Her inclination to sport multiple ear piercings and a navel stud flavor her otherwise innocent appearance with something more rebellious.
When treasure hunting, Venus dresses along the lines of a short jacket, usually left open to reveal whatever undergarment she has on, short shorts that have been bastardized by scissors to the edge of modesty, knee-high boots and fingerless gloves. This ensemble has enough belts and sheaths to keep her weapons and equipment.
For more formal outings, Venus will don a short strapless dress, with heels and a few other accessories, to give her a more refined look.
At home, anything casual will do, but her clothes seem to have all suffered under a relentless pair of scissors. For sleepwear, she just goes with undies.
