Pandaemonic Plague(habit things that I feel weird without)

Hello gals and guy! The first Cross Guild Scale is here for us to have fun and beat stuff up with! We are going to be in Tsak Ordahic, and don't forget about the rules for the thread!

Our main goal is to act as a security and clearing force to cleanse the area of infected matter, as well as to thin out the ranks of hostiles roaming the land that is affected by the plagues! As the leader, I shall spawn our enemies as I see fit. Outside of that, we can go any which way we wish, since it's pretty open ^^ Lets enjoy ourselves and have some fun with this thread!

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

After the intruders to the ball Adalinda had put on had been quarantined, the dragon slayer Vice President was rather upset. She had worked hard on it to have it suddenly ruined by two random goons whom were from who knows where on Tolgalen suddenly bursting into the place. One had looked like he had been through a shredder and was plagued, while the other seemed to have lost his mind. The plagued one, despite being a silent person, had basically made it known he was with the nut bag losing his mind. It was already determined that they didn't have any normal diseases, or ones that doctors were aware of that and knew a cure for. The silent one was more helpful in at least telling them where they came from. The crazy guy eventually started going a smidge nuts saying that they were locked away for ages, but wasn't making much sense about anything else after that, just that he didn't want to go back. With the doctors not knowing what exactly was wrong with these two, they didn't want to risk them infecting others and put them in isolation to see if anything could be done at all for them.

The iron dragon slayer had changed out of her dress from the ball, and was wearing a grey tank top and black pants with boots. Her tank top bore her pin signifying that she was from West Fiore Trading Company right on the strap, and with her wearing a tank top for once, one could see her black WFTC symbol on her right shoulder blade. In all honesty, she wasn't going to care about her appearance for this as she wasn't wanting to get her uniform ruined. She was already pissed enough, might as well wear something that she wouldn't get upset over being ruined. She throws her hair up in a high ponytail while Tamaria is fluttering, in her purple exceed form, not too far from her. The cat, unlike her companion, was wearing her uniform, but opted for pants over her own typical work skirt this time. Adalinda seemed far more determined than she ever expected the girl to be about something like this, even more than when she wanted to beat up Kyran for taking her alcohol on her. She had even volunteered herself to take lead in a group to find out anything for this, and was ultimately assigned to do security and clearing. She honestly didn't care. That would help ease her anger. She was ready for a fight, and hoped her team she was assigned to work with, would be alright to work with. Veles was even surprised in Adalinda's sudden thinking, and had decided to stay silent while she was simmering with her anger, unsure how she would react to him saying anything to her for the time being.

First things first, let them in on what they were to do after meeting up with everyone. They were to be going into Tsak Ordahic, or what they had decided to call the area that the guys who crashed her party had said that they had come from. She puts her hands on her hips as she observes the boarder of it from afar. She didn't want to meet the group too close to it, for safety reasons, and waited for them to meet her. Tamaria landed softly on the ground, putting her paw on the hilt of the oversized sword on her hip. She was grateful Adalinda had given her the sword to keep since she had her own swords now. It helped her out tons now, and she wasn't going to let it stop her now.

Adalinda glanced over her shoulder when her fellow group members had come, and turned around to face them full on, crossing her arms over her chest a bit. Tammy turned her body halfway, but let her head turn towards the rest while she kept her hand on her sword. "Alright, gals and Kyran." She says as she smirks softly to herself. "We're here to be be security and keep a look out for hostiles and thin them out. We also get to clean up the area that's infected as well. Unfortunately, I'm not too sure how dangerous it'll be, so keep your eyes and ears open for anything that could potentially harm us. As well as watch one another's back. I'd advise against drinking or eating anything from here too... unless we know it is safe to eat or drink without issue..." She looked back over her shoulder. She wanted to find out what was in this forgotten area, and make it stop as fast as she could. Her children lived here, she wasn't going to put them at risk with something like this here... She was determined to put an end to this, and really hoped they could figure it out quickly, as well as how to stop it, if at all. The black haired mage looks back to her group, and raises an eyebrow to them now. "Anyone have any questions? And everyone ready to high tail it into the woods of uncertainty now?" Maybe cracking a joke about the place wasn't too great to make just now... but she felt it was worth it still, to help lighten the mood. If anything, for her own sanity.

Post by Amalie 20th January 2019, 9:57 am

Amalie was probably one of the few that was actually happy to be tagging along today. Although, considering the way she carried herself it may not have been obvious. Amalie wasn't exactly one to walk around with a beaming smile. But still, it was curious. The first time she was ever being pulled in by her guild on such a grande matter. Then again, she was there at that ball where those infected individuals had made there way in. She had missed a great deal of that little show, having been talking to Vice President Johann about a certain matter. A matter which she finally had a lot of answers too. As it turned out, Amalie was a vessel and inside of her lived a being, specifically the fifth seal of the apocalypse, Anima. He was a holy being and following a rather amusing incident on the Celestial Sanctum where she had been able to provoke the seal into talking to her. All because she took too long admiring her mentor naked. It was comical and more than enough to tell her what she needed to know. But still, Anima wasn't much of a talker, which normally she would have preferred. Except in this scenario, she needed answers, and yet when she asked he kept quiet. It was frustrating, to say the least. She didn't know why he was being so quiet; she knew he was there now. Perhaps he was a stubborn creature of sorts.

She was, as usual wearing the West Fiore Trading Company white uniform. Accompanied by a pair of black leather boots then went over her knees. The heel of which was purposefully designed more like a wedge heel, a means of dealing with the soft soil she may have to walk on. Her long pale blue hair swaying behind her, and her sword known as Celeste, attached to the belt around her hip, hung from her right side. They were walking through Tsak Ordahic, a group of individuals. Two of which she recognised, the other two she didn't. Their team leader, Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company. Adalinda, who she had bumped into a few times now. They had worked together on a rather embarrassing job back during the October period. When Amalie had found herself influenced by the magic from some sort of falling black powder. The powder itself had influenced her personality and caused her to behave like a timid little mouse. When she returned to normality, she had been horrified to find that people had in fact seen her this way. Adalinda was one of those people. Fortunately, the matter had never come up, and hopefully, it stayed that way. Amalie hated people who acted like pathetic little weaklings scrambling for a handout. The frightened woman with no backbone to speak of, that was not Amalie, so have behaved that way. Quite frankly, it was sickening. At the very least she was glad to have finished the job with Ada and had witnessed some impressive feats of magic. Magic she was sure she'd get enjoy more of today. Ada was also accompanied by the perky little exceed of hers, Amalie took a moment to try and recall her name. Tamaria? Yes, she was sure that was it.

The other guy from her guild, Amalie remembered, for the most part. On her first day, he had pretty much dropped from the ceiling, drunken and not fully dressed. It had been quite a little scene he had created, not that it had anything to do with Amalie. She didn't care as long as she got initiated, which she had. Other than that, it hadn't been much of a first impression. Amalie wasn't even sure she could remember his name, perhaps someone else would say it. Surely Adalinda knew him enough to mention it at some point. Then there were the two other girls, allegedly from Fairy Tail. One blonde and rather perky looking, the other with long white hair and eyes that were an interesting shade, like blood ruby. Amalie's few on Fairy Tail were rather mixed, on one hand, she had that idiot on one job that she hadn't been very fond of. On the other hand, there was Markus, another vessel to a seal. And although she didn't fully trust the guy, at the very least, he got the job done. So, it was really hit or miss on how good a job these Fairy Tail mages would do. She would just wait and see.

Adalinda turned to address them; she immediately started by referring to them as gals and mentioning the guy's name. Ah, that was it, Kyran. She couldn't promise to remember it in the far future, but she at least knew for today. She would then proceed to talk about the mission and their role in it; it would pretty much perfect for Amalie. She could've done either of the others without issue, but testing her magic out this way, seemed like an opportunity too good to miss. The rest of what she said was pretty standard, watch each other back, don't eat or drink anything. "I'm good to go." She replied, not really needing any more information than what she had.

Post by Yuiisai 23rd January 2019, 6:52 am

Two months had passed since the diabolical that was the West Fiore Trading Companies winter masquerade ball, Ruvel and his executives had spent months putting the event and festivities together within their homeland of Tolgalen. She and her twin brother had both been at the ball, she as a company employee as she was employed as a hostess of sorts and so was often seen dressed as a maid and well Oykai was forced to be there because he drew the short straw and was playing guardian. She had indeed tried to get her twin to dress for the occasion but given how he was to the living she knew it was very much a long shot and non to surprisingly she was correct as he turned up in his normal day to day reaper clothing. She recognised a few people outside the company who had been invited such as the ace known as Arcadia Fairchilde who had gotten close to the young chief executive officer of the trading company and the prodigy of Chaos that happened to have accidentally fallen in to the the pocket realm of death within the void known as Markus Eldridge; both were of the Fairy Tail guild.

There were three others she hadn't seen before but with a little enquiry she found that the first was another ace of the Fairy Tail guild known as Nessa Cordelia Lux, a strong user of light magic like her own... well she had no idea what to think of Ruvel now at this point, they had been bonded at one point, summoner and summon at another; she would have to put some thought into what their bond was now a days at a later date. She was however glad to see Markus with her, when they had met he seemed to have missed her though part of him seemed to want to pull away from that fact. Emotions were annoying and chaotic things, something that a chaos mage should definitely be at peace with on so many levels. The second mystery person was of the legal guild Sabertooth whom happened to be the fiance and father to vice president Ada's children, she couldn't get a read on his magic and hadn't had time to enquire about it. She did know he was at least half lycan but could only guess that the other half might have been kitsune or bakeneko, regardless it was an interesting mix for a child. The last person she found out about was the famous Leona, the guild master of the Silver Wolf guild and from what she had found out a prominent re-quip user. Out of these three it was easy to find information on Nessa and Leona as they had both once been rising stars and Nessa herself much like Ruvel held a wizard saint position, that meant their mage careers were highly documented and much of it was public knowledge due to this.

During this time each of the allied guilds had been informed with what little knowledge they had, plans were drawn up as were teams to deal with each situation. She had decided that she would be best suited in one of the security teams being formed, a few days before they were due to set off she was informed of which team she was in, her team leader and the others that would be there too. She had never really interacted with anyone in this team other than perhaps Adalinda thanks to her connection to Ruvel, but even then she kept it short and sweet as she was meant to be a maid of sorts. She was wearing her normal black maid dress, white apron, her white hair tied back in a black bow, white stockings and black dolly shoes; other than the fact she looked like a life sized maid china doll, she really didn't look like she fitted coming to such a dangerous place. She had made sure to have travelled with Ruvel to make sure he himself was safe, the last few months had been difficult she knew with going back to his birthplace and saying goodbye to a majority of those he was close to but there had been some that stood by him even now like her twin brother Oykai which surprised her and her twin cousins Amuul and Shindara.

When she had gotten there she blinked, she remembered this place and reminded Ruvel to remain safe, she would be one of those protecting him but she might not be near by. When satisfied he would be safe she headed to her own check in point, the quickest way was moving through shadows but this had her weaving in and out of the barrier until she was close. Luckily the shadows weren't that far away from the barrier, all the while she kept in mind the warning signs and though she herself couldn't read them the words but seeing how many there were so close together the message was clear 'stay out, death awaits'. She couldn't exactly help but smirk internally, she was death or at least one of its goddesses 'Lets see if this place is so deadly that it can affect me' she thought to herself, she wasn't being an egomaniac or anything she really wanted to see how this would affect one of her kind. Stopping out of the barrier she headed to the meeting area where she seen Ada and one of the newer members of the trading company known as Amalie "Sorry for the tardiness, I was making sure Ruvel got to his place safely and then I headed here as quickly as possible." she said calmly watching the others.

Hearing Ada speaking on their task she nodded showing she understood their directives, it was obvious what scouts would do and that when collecting samples a person couldn't exactly defend themselves unless they were a summoner; so that's why their task was so important and vital to this mission. "Ready when everyone else is. I have been here once before several months ago with Ruvel, when he was doing an independent task on what we currently hope is an unconnected epidemic that had come to his attention. I will give any information I can from that case when required." she informed the others waiting for the others to chime in.

Tolagen was probably one of the last places Althea ever thought she would visit, although the blonde had very few expectations set for such a thing in the first place.  It was just that seeing as the area was so close to the West Fiore Trading Company people that she had just half expected very few requests would have to travel all the way to Magnolia.  The wizards already there would probably be tasked with it, and it was probably much more convenient for the people there too.  She imagined that it was much more practical to send a job request somewhere nearby rather than across the globe.  Not that Althea actually knew for sure, she had never bothered investigated what it was like to put up a request.  She didn’t even really know if the area she was meant to be at was an official part of Tolagen or not.  She was pretty sure it was close enough to be, but a lot of things were like that but still separate.  But either way, now she was there anyways despite of that, all because of the events of a ball she didn’t attend.  Actually, it was more like she was never invited rather than her simply choosing not to go.

As far as she knew, it was this exclusive high-class thing which all sorts of people, including some from the young girl’s very own guild, had attended.  Inviting Althea probably would’ve been like letting a bull into a china shop, but she didn’t mind if she was or not.  The slayer wasn’t even completely sure what people did at regular parties seeing as she had never attended one, and she didn’t care enough to find out.  Basically, she wouldn’t have shown up even if she had been offered the opportunity to.  Balls, as far as she knew, were times for milling around and talking to people or something, that alone not really seeming all too appealing.  It the blonde were to be somewhere with others, she’d better be talking to as many people as possible.  Not like Althea did all that well in a casual setting anyways, what would she even talk about?  The weather?  Well, that was just all she knew about the night while omitting the whole fact the ball had been crashed by these guys who were insane or something.  The specific didn’t matter much at all, but their appearances prompting the whole group effort thing did.  The water mage didn’t actually know the much, and even if someone bothered to tell her them she would only really half-listen.  Personally, Althea was mostly just there because fighting weird stuff was fun, and hey, people are just as fun too.

She was actually very much stoked to be on the “cleanup crew”, having prepared herself for anything in the lands.  But perhaps something Althea hadn’t prepared for was being around possibly dangerous substances.  Her pale yellow sleeveless shirt and denim shorts left plenty of skin wide open to just about anything, and she had just opted for some generic white sneakers for her feet.  But as she looked at the other members of her group she didn’t find that they had dressed for the occasion too much either, so there was probably no reason to even worry about it.  Others knew much more about what they were getting into in the first place, so she would let them worry about that while she had fun beating things up.  And if she did run into a problem with her clothing… well she hadn’t actually thought about what she would do.  She would probably just have to figure something out on the spot seeing as she didn’t feel like dying at the moment.

Althea had a much more pressing concern other than her choice in clothing however, at least from her perspective.  She knew absolutely no one in her group in the slightest.  One of them could be from Fairy Tail and she wouldn’t be in the place to know even though she spent so much of her time loitering on guild property.  Perhaps she should actually put effort into knowing people around the guild, or anyone at all.  Her human interactions were mostly limited to jobs, and half the time she went solo anyways.  For a person who liked being around others and getting to know them, she found that she spent an odd amount of time in perfect solitude.  But, the young girl simply shrugged this fact off, deeming it to not matter at all.  Instead, her attention was focused on her group leader as they began to speak.

The woman basically just told everyone not to eat anything, or at least something like that.  “Yep, I’m ready to go!”  She replied, offering a thumbs up to go with her words just in case the woman was deaf or something.  You could never know with mages, some sell away their souls and stuff for their abilities, not like it was Althea’s place to judge or anything.

Kyran felt the wind push against his face as he fell through the air. It was rather pleasant, a relaxing sort of feeling. His demons were so terrified, they were quiet for once, allowing Kyran to think. He'd left Gaia behind for this job. Right in the middle of wedding planning. He'd get an earful for that later. However, Kyran had taken the time to explain what was going on. A dangerous area with potentially disastrous consequences for the continent had been discovered. He wanted Tolgalen to be a home for their family once they started one. That required it to be safe for all of them. It'd probably mean owning another house as well. Hmm... he'd have to look at some of the houses around here. Ah, there was the ground. Pull up! He's gonna crash! We're all gonna die! And there were his demons. Erebos sounded more like he was laughing then screaming however.

"Eae, a little assistance" Kyran said calmly. The angel leapt to the forefront, his eyes turning a bright blue color, missing the pupil. The angel gently guided Kyran as he snapped his wings open. The blood mage landed a little ways away from the group to avoid showering them in dust. His wings vanished as Kyran straightened. Shoving his hands in his pockets, the redhead made his way over to the group. There was Adalinda. He gave her a little nod and a small smile. There was the newbie who's initiation he'd crashed. Her name slipped his mind at the moment. She might make an interesting villain in a book, were he so inclined to get to know her better. The last two were from Fairy Tail. Kyran wasn't sure what to make of either. To be polite, he bowed to them both.

The blood mage listened carefully to Adalinda's speech and one of the Fairy Tail mages' epithet. So this area was worse than he could have imagined. Kyran unlimbered his longbow from his back. "Better to get this over with." He said shortly. Drink the water! Eat some of the food! Medea shrieked. The cat had apparently recovered from her shock. Now she wanted to show everyone how tough she was. Kyran resisted berating the cat. This was the demon's way of dealing with her brush with death. Not that they had been even close to dying.

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Adalinda hadn't payed much attention to how Kyran entered, or even that Demi seemed to have been a smidge 'tardy' as she said, just waited till they were all there together before she had let herself give her little spiel. She also had been so focused on the task at hand, that she didn't realize what she forgot to do. Tammy quickly clears her throat. "Really quickly, for those of you who don't know, this is Adalinda, and I'm Tamaria." Tammy felt it was more towards the other girl that was from Fairy Tail, being she didn't recall Ada talking to her before, but it didn't hurt to say just to be on the safe side. Adalinda had given Tammy a brief nod of thanks for saying that for her, knowing she would have lost her mind some days without the little exceed, and that she sometimes saved her butt for minor things. Ada's eyes looked over to Demi as she had mentioned she was ready as well, but had been here before. "Anything important to know about here before we go in, would be lovely. I don't believe I've been told anything at all really." She says, but shrugs her shoulders regardless.

As everyone seemed to be prepared to go ahead though, Adalinda couldn't help but smirk. She may not do much leader stuff like this, but knowing that her fellow comrades were ready to get through with this area, made her feel better about doing this. "Lets get going then." She nods as she starts to turn her attention back to the lands. She closed her eyes for a moment, listening for around them to see if there was anything in the immediate area, but wasn't getting anything yet... unfortunately. Tammy glanced back as she realized Adalinda wasn't going to do anything else, especially since she seemed focused a bit on this. "Anyone want to do quick introductions so we know who we're working with since we're from two different guilds?" She asks as she quickly is flying backwards being in between Adalinda and the group. Adalinda had started to trip over something after hearing that, and groans as she lower her head in a bit of shame. 'You're a terrible leader... not doing introductions. You should have that revoked.' Veles snickered to Adalinda in her mind. She suppressed a growl to him, but she did stop and scratched the back of her head. "Sorry about that... I just want to get this over with quickly so we-" She pauses as she smells something behind her, and quickly turns her head.

She smelt... moving plants? Her face pales. Coming towards them were a few groups of grass and moss entangled together and nearly looking like snakes mashed together. "Oh gods..." She hissed as she quickly slides her hands together and was holding onto a corkscrew sword in her hand. She was actually shaking a bit. 'Really? You're afraid? Of a little plant?!' Veles was giving a motion in Adalinda's head similar to a head shake. She snarls a little to him, but it could very much seem like she was snarling at the plants. Tammy had quickly removed her own sword from her hip, keeping it in the scabbard, and flew up a little higher. "I count ten of these things right here! And maybe five farther back. They look like vipers of sorts from up here, like grass ones!" She quickly calls down to them before she quickly swoops down and looks to Adalinda for a moment. Ada nods, and then glances towards Tamaria again. "You saw more...?" The cat nods slowly and glances towards everyone else. "There's also about seven or so walking rose looking things... with roundish bodies... They're a bit farther out though... but they seem to move faster than these guys ahead of us. And they're split up into two groups out there..." The cat jabs her thumb towards the group, and the dragon slayer nods as she glances towards her group. "Lets get to 'cleaning', guys!" She was dreading having to fight these plant beasts. And who knows what they could do to them?

Adalinda pulls her thoughts from her fears, and grips her sword tight in her hand. While she started jogging towards these little snake creature things, they seemed to quickly scatter away from her. Were they harmless little enchanted plants? Or were they just scared of her? She didn't trust them regardless, but looks back as she realized they were going after Tammy though. "Damnit!" She hissed as Tammy had moved to the side to go attack from there instead, rather than right next to Adalinda. Tammy clearly noticed that they were coming at her with their claw appendages, and attempting to come at her. The cat quickly swung her sword in its scabbard a couple times at one of the grass things, and really was surprised how easily they seemed to fall down. "It's... weak?" The purple exceed says as she quickly holds up her sword to block another claw thing from slashing at her. Adalinda smirks slightly. At least this enemy didn't seem like it did anything besides attempting to attack...

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 3rd February 2019, 11:38 am

When Amalie arrived, it was just Adalinda and Tamaria. However, she didn't have to wait too long before the arrival of the others. This was fortunate, as Amalie wasn't exactly the moar patient individual. She was itching to throw herself into the action.  The blonde and the white-haired woman arrived relatively normally. The white-haired girl commented on her own tardiness, mentioning having been with someone she called Ruvel. Amalie glanced over, the name catching her attention. Ruvel was the same name as the CEO of the West Fiore Trading Company. Essentially her boss, her boss who she hadn't met yet. The information she did have on him was pretty minimal, so far, she had heard he was surprisingly young to be in charge of such a big company, and that he was the reason the West Fiore Trading Company was so well guarded. But other than that she had never seen him, or had any idea of what he was like. She wondered when she would get the chance to meet him, but figured it would come in due time. She wondered if the Ruvel that the white-haired girl mentioned was the same person, she had said it with the expectancy of Adalinda knowing who she was talking about. Adalinda, a vice president in the West Fiore Trading Company would definitely know of the CEO. The question was, what was this other girls connection to him?

It didn't require much thinking about right now though, Amalie had more important things to attend to. Like moving on with this little pre-job meeting. The blonde haired girl from Fairy Tail didn't say much other than that she was ready to go. This was good. Amalie didn't really fancy exchanging much small talk before they got into it. The redhead guys arrival did irk her somewhat, the sight of his wings and his slightly zealous arrival. She was reminded by the last time someone had arrived this way in front of her, that hadn't exactly gone as planned. The useless mage who was supposed to provide back up when she dealt with Tracey Delarin, only to abandon her before they even got there. It was highly displeasing. But still, she had survived and gained some useful information out of it. It just meant that she certainly wasn't going to rely on that imbecile should they ever run into each other again.  Hopefully, the Redhead would be more reliable than the Fairy Tail imbecile; she had encountered that time, he was, after all, a member of the West Fiore Trading Company.

For a moment it seemed like the small talk was done and they were about to set off. Amalie went to follow Adalinda as she suggested they get going and turned away. Only to stop when Tamaria commented on introductions. Amalie resisted the urge to roll her eyes; she really didn't see the point. But she supposed it made sense for her to have some means of communicating with the others should she need to. For whatever reason, she turned back on her heel, looking at those she presumed wouldn't know of her. "Amalie, from the West Fiore Trading Company." She said quickly, hoping to move this along. Fortunately, it seemed like this wouldn't be too much of an issue, as Adalinda began to apologise for not starting introductions she stopped. Something catching her attention, Amalie's icy blue eyes followed her gaze. Spotting the incoming menace, her blank expression shifted immediately into a smirk. It was finally time for some fun.

Amalie's eye racked over the creatures that were moving towards them, taking in the sight of them. She turned her body slightly so that she was facing them. She would scan over the snake-like creatures, like living vines they emerged, slithering towards them. Her fingers flexed slightly at her side, her magic convulsed inside her, creeping up from her core, and pouring out of her throat. "Empowerment" Followed swiftly by "Resistance", her voice rang out, and her body would pulsate with the air of magic as she activated spells design to strengthen her as well as increase her magical resistance. Her right hand glided over the handle of Celeste, should she draw her sword or savour that for when more enemies entered the fray. Perhaps not yet, she needed to weigh things up from a distance first. Running in sword swinging was not a sensible tactic. She allowed her hand to drop once more, decided to save Celeste for later. She heard Tamaria calling down to them, not looking but listening to the Exceed as she broke down what she was seeing. She heard Adalinda's command; finally, she had the approval she needed. "Gladly." She said simply, allowing her magic to surge up through her once more. "Shards."

The air around her would begin to ripple, as in its shards of broken glass manifesting in great quantities. Increasing in mass into she was surrounded by what could only be described as a horde of glass. She raised her arm and flicked her right hand in a 'go' gesture. The shards darted ahead at her command, soaring through the air like bees. She laid her eyes on the closest viper; in response, the glass swirled around it, tearing it to pieces in a matter of seconds. Well, that was anticlimactic. She thought, turning her gaze towards the next viper and repeating the process. The exceed was indeed speaking the truth, this vine snake things were weak. Amalie would sigh, directing her shards at two more. She supposed it was a 'clean up' job after all, and this was only the beginning. She turned, casually strolling forward a few steps. Almost looking slightly bored, her gaze fell on the other creature that Tamaria had spotted. i]Ah, yes, the Rose-looking-things[/i], As she had put it. They were a little more curious to look at. With bodies, that sort of resembled giant green crabs, except from its face sat a giant pinkish blossoming flower. Standing at three feet two, Amalie strolled towards it. Her fingers flexed slight, the shards having finished off those two vine snakes followed her as she moved. Once again she gestured for them to move, and the swarmed past her towards the flowered beast. The shards embedded themselves in its body, causing Amalie to tilt her head. So these things were slightly stronger. The creature emitted a cloud from its body.

    Poison.

Amalie arched a brow, this was surprising, Anima was deciding actually to talk. Even if it was just to warn her, still, it helped her decide what to do next. She raised her palm. "Globe." An air bubble formed around the creature. Containing the poisonous spores within it, inside the bubble, Amalie activated the wind magic. The air inside the air bubble began to shift, Amalie manipulating the structure of the molecules in the bubble to produce a counter toxin. She watched as the creature shrivelled inside of the bubble. The shards inside the bubble would continue to hack away. Amalie glanced away; she didn't need to pay any more attention to that. It was already dead. She spotted another rose beast and did a little estimation in her head. It hadn't required too much damage to take down that thing; she wondered if there was another spell she could use to prove more effective. This wasn't exactly a challenging fight right now, but at the very least she could use it to practice the functionality of her spells. She could do this at least, until a much more interesting opponent along.

    "Burn."

She called, raising her palm before the creature could realise a miasma of its own. The flames burst from her hand, and she shrouded the beast in a mass ball of fire. The creature reeled on its spidery legs, flailing in response to the fire. Within moments it crumpled down, dead. It seemed this plant was especially weak to fire. That was useful to know. Amalie glanced around idly, curious to see what else there was to do — carrying the demeanour of a woman dealing with household chores, rather than a mass of plant monsters.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Yuiisai 9th February 2019, 11:39 am

Demi had remained quiet as the others had turned up though quirked an eyebrow to the red headed male who seemed to have been difficulty flying and sighed 'What a damned fool, I really don't want to reap him because he broke his neck trying to fly in here.' she thought to herself as she placed her hands in front of her apron and bowed a little "I'm called Demi." she said politely allowing the others to know just part of her first name, she didn't believe that her full name as that held power. "I am a Fairy Tail mage but I work within the West Fiore Trading company as a maid and hostess." she said not wanting to go further into the whole reason as to why a mage of one guild would be working for another. Standing she looked to each mage and though she recognised each of those who worked under her young companion she didn't know them to speak to them other than perhaps the vice president Adalinda. Her blood ruby eyes scanned over to another mage of her own guild, in honesty it had been two months since she gained her guild symbol and yet she had still never stepped foot in magnolia as a fairy tail mage.

The more she thought on it the more she thought she should likely do that as she held duty to them, still Tolgalen was her home so longs Ruvel was there and wouldn't allow a guild to change this. 'So longs I am there for when the guild I have joined needs me and take part in celebrations I am free to live my normal life.' she reminded herself but still only knowing two people within her guild made her know she wasn't as social there as she should be and should likely change it sometime in the near future. She was brought out of her train of thought as the teams leader spoke about giving information that she knew. "Yes, of course." she sighing a little not liking what she was about to be telling the others "This place has two pathogens within it that has been contained for at least for around one thousand and eight hundred years within this area, it has been forgotten however." she said calmly her eyes closing "The two pathogens are in everything here so please don't eat or drink anything unless you have brought it yourself and keep it sealed as much as possible." she continued as she walked into the area at the same time as everyone else "The pathogens are name Siren's whisper and submerged ripple. I believe one may affect the mind, the other affecting the body unfortunately I don't know which is which, the symptoms or if my hypothesis on them acting differently is correct." she finished giving them the small amount of information she had received from Ruvel via being here before and her cousins relaying new information "I have my brother looking into deaths from back in that era but it might take a while so please bare with me on that." she said with a faint smile, she knew it was a terrible thing to smile at but she also knew she had likely done her day job here many life cycles ago.

Once she relayed the information she once again went silent but keeping a cautious eye on everything around her, she knew she was immune to mortal illness but she wasn't exactly sure if what was in here classed as mortal or could affect her so needed to keep on her toes on the matter. At least until she heard back from Oykai and who knew how long that could be, given that he may be summoned by Ruvel or even do his own duties. She was keeping a close eye on the leader of the group, she wasn't sure if it was because she didn't feel she was all there or if she was like several of the people she had come across within the trading company were they had a second, third or even more souls within their own; but something about how the vice president of the trading company and leader of this group didn't seem right based on how she seeming remembered to do introductions. It was almost as if she had been told off by another unseen force, this concerned the albino woman of course because she liked to know all the factors when doing something as stupidly dangerous as they currently were. Hearing Ada and her Exceed speak she stopped and started to pay attention fully to her surroundings once more. "Mutated killer plants? This should be... interesting..." she said thoughtfully within her hand an elegant and almost ornamental scythe appeared within her hands, as it did her outfit changed from that or a dainty maid that you would believe shouldn't have been taking part in something like this to a black gothic lolita dress with a white frilled skirt and cuffs, black stockings with white frills ankle high boots and a black bonnet. This made her look something like a bone china doll that a noble child might play with.

She dashed forward but made sure to remain within her own range of those around her so no matter what she could help another if it was needed, but in her honest view of things if they couldn't look after themselves against a small threat like this then they shouldn't be here. That view was something that had been drilled into her from when she was very young, she realised now just how contradictory it was given that members of 'family' were expected to protect each other regardless of cost but some times that meant aborting a mission that had taken months to plan, still it was done and the outcome never a good one. As she moved towards the enemy she was mindful of those around her blatantly because she didn't want to be hit by one of their attacks, friendly fire would not put the reaper into a good mood that was for sure but it would have been argued that she should have been paying more attention to her surroundings. For a brief moment the scythe turned into a scroll as she moved to dodge an attack from one of the plants that had seemed to grown through a human skeleton she presumed it was human anyway given the physiology it had and wrote something onto the scroll before it turned into a scythe once more. The moment this happened every enemy within her burst rank distance stopped moving, this wasn't the end of it however as she seemed to corkscrew around hitting three of the enemies leaving not only a nice cut through not only the plants but the bone they wrapped around as if were a hot knife going through butter, their bodies going through several trees as they got knocked back fifty meters meaning even if they had survived the force of going through the trees would have finished the job.

From the albino woman a dark aura started to be emitted from her though she didn't seem to even take notice of this. It was one of her own gifts that she had taught herself to turn on and off as she felt it was needed, slowly it expanded making every enemy within her burst range squeal in pain. She hated that sound but this was a them or us scenario and she chose to survive regardless of the cost of life of things that meant to cause her and those she was partnered to lives. It was then her scythe vanished her clothing returning to that of a maid as she moved towards the beast that looked like a rose spider, her eyes went wide as she seen it suddenly spit what she could only describe as acid towards her and quick stepped to the side. It was however a little late and she still got hit on the arm this didn't stop her as she built up momentum again jumping and landing on it before pummelling it to death, her eyes cold and unforgiving as she does. With a shrilled scream the monstrosity fell to the ground, Demi standing covered in the gore of the the thing an orb in her hand that she placed into a pocket in her apron "Four down." she said calmly, her voice cold devoid of emotions it was clear she had changed in that brief moment the attack had happened. A switch had been flipped and her previous training had now kicked in.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 19th February 2019, 9:59 am

Kyran felt rather uneasy looking around. His team was all women. He was already uncomfortable enough working with a team in the first place but now... now he was downright anxious. Malinda had a tendency to whisper things in his ear at exactly the wrong time. Four women? The demon wouldn't be able to resist. There was a good chance he'd stumble while they were all in the middle of a fight. "Kyran, West Fiore Trading Company." He said when it came around to introducing himself. And I'm excited to get to know you all...intimately Malinda practically purred. Kyran struggled not to blush, turning his attention toward Demi. The Fairy Tail mage was explaining what was so dangerous about this area. Kyran couldn't help the small grin on his face from the news. "Wanna go insane, Medea? Just to prove a point?" He muttered to himself. The cat demon growled back at him. It only heightened his delight. The cat couldn't make him do anything stupid without harming herself in return. Most likely this would keep the demons off his back for the duration. Carnage was his to dispense. It was something he dearly needed.

The appearance of the mutant plants didn't phase Kyran much. He'd dealt with plenty of weird things throughout the entirety of his career as a mage. What was one more strange plant creature? Demi and Amalie jumped into the fray. Both looked like they knew how to handle themselves, no backup required. Kyran knew that Adalinda didn't need any help. He shuddered thinking of her reaction if he even tried to extend his hand in help. No thank you. The plant creatures didn't seem all that tough. Each of those here could easily handle them. That was why they were the clean up team.

Red energy circled Kyran's hands as he summoned up his magic. Blood pooled from cuts that suddenly opened, becoming swirling crimson orbs. Time to see what his new summons could do. Nothing fancy off the bat. Kyran knew how easily summons could run out of control. The orb on his left hand changed into a swirling black mass. It hovered for a moment before darting into his chest. The blood mage grunted but began walking out onto the battlefield. Ignoring the strange spider flower things, Kyran headed straight for the grass snake things entwined in bones. The swirling orb over his right hand morphed. It became a flexible spear, easily handled with either one or two hands. As one of the vipers jumped, Kyran flowed beneath it. His spear pierced it once, twice, three times before he was past. The creature crumpled as it hit the ground behind him.

"One down" He muttered twirling the spear. This was what he was good at. Yet glancing to the side, Kyran could easily see he was outclassed. Amalie wielded her magic with a cool confidence, barely ruffled by anything that happened to her. Demi was like a goddess of death, dancing through her enemies. The scythe in her hand made short work of anything around her. Kyran chuckled softly to himself. Feeling humbled, oh high and mighty host of mine? Medea hissed as another of the grass vipers attacked. Kyran sidestepped, neatly bisecting the thing. It hit the ground, still moving weakly. He stabbed the spear behind him into the body to finish it off. "Not at all, Medea dear." The blood mage replied calmly. "I was simply reminded that there are always those that are better than myself."

Three grass vipers leapt for him. Kyran smacked two out of the way but the third sank fangs into his arm. Kyran's skin immediately darkened, his first spell rising to the surface. The fangs barely pricked his skin as a result. Swirling darkness coated the surface of Kyran's body, providing a protection from danger. At least partially. He neatly separated the head from the body. "Pity. I almost thought this would be a challenge. I haven't even had to use any real spells." Kyran said to himself. He spun the spear to knock two attacking vipers away. "Come now. You can do better than that." The blood mage stepped on one of the vipers. The point of his spear came down. "And that's four of you gone. Are there any other-"

Something slammed into Kyran's side. One of the spider flowers. Kyran flew a few meters, landing painfully on his back. "That's what I get for not paying attention." He scowled. Two of the flower things were circling him. Perhaps they sensed weakness. He debated the wisdom of summoning something else. Probably not a good idea. There was no telling how long they would be here, cleaning up. He needed to conserve mana. "Right, have at ya then, ya bloody bastards!" He charged forward. The flower thing curled inward. Perhaps a prelude to an attack. Kyran dodged to the side, right as it unfurled. A glob of acid shot past his left side. That would have been bad if it hit him. The blood mage brought his spear down on a leg. The plant thing squealed suddenly off balance. Kyran stepped forward to jab his spear into its side. "Come on go down already!" He growled stabbing again. These things were tougher than he thought. Stepping back Kyran grasped the spear with both hands. As the flower spider turned to face him, the blood mage slammed the spear with all his might into its flower face thing. It shuddered violently before collapsing. "Five down." He called out turning to face the other spider flower. "Now, let's see what you've got."

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Tammy had seemed satisfied that everyone had introduced themselves rather quickly. She listened to Demi as she gave information about the area. Her shoulders raised and lowered as she let up an audible sigh, nodding as it sounded great. 'Yeah... Isn't it fun, child? Get to play with plagues!' Veles was trying hard to not laugh at Adalinda. "Yeah, I guess I was right to say no eating or drinking stuff here. And... if those two guys from the party are from here... then maybe they had either of those pathogens possibly? Gods... I sure hope as hell not..." She grumbles to herself before she had sensed the creatures coming at them to attack. Ada had glanced over to Kyran a bit, having heard his mutterings a bit, assuming one of the demons were pissing him off. She smirks to herself a moment later though, as everyone seemed like they were prepared to fight in their own way, and nods to herself. This was good. Very good. Everyone prepared to fight on such a short notice. Now if only she could deal with these enchanted plants in general... life would be splendid...

'Kill your demons quick, child... that would make life easier.' Veles was trying to not snicker at her, still unable to get over the fact she was terrified of these enchanted plants, even though he had seen the job she had taken ages ago where she dealt with some before. 'Kill it to be rid of it.' Now he was being helpful to her... stupid dragon. Adalinda quickly charged at them herself, avoiding the other members as a stray group of the little grass things came up upon them. The purple exceed had been glad the other members of the group had taken off a good chunk of the grass viper things for her so she wasn't swamped. With less upon her, the cat had gone back to her dragon slayers side and together the two swung their swords and simultaneously cut one in three with how they cut it at the same time. "Thanks Tam..." The black haired girl muttered as she glares lightly ahead. The rose things were coming. "Scout ahead." Tamaria gives a sharp nod and quickly shoots for the sky again, going on ahead of the group once more as she knew they had the rose things under control... especially after it seemed like Amalie had found out those things gave off something that didn't seem too great, but they blew up rather well with fire. Now, if only Adalinda could deal with them without fire.

Flying shards of glass, breaking bones and vines, cloudy stuff, fire, explosions, a scythe scroll thing, acid, blood orb things, and her iron so far is what she saw flying about the small battlefield. Her team was making quick work of these things though regardless of what the enemy was throwing at them. Adalinda had taken her sword and quickly used it to crush the remaining two skeleton vine creatures with a couple cuts each. They were rather boring to fight as she takes a deep breath. Now those rose things. She felt like they were going to be a pain in her behind. Her body was now suddenly covered in greyish scales from the top of her head, to her feet. Of course she felt like she needed protection, these things seemed like they are able to blow things up! Even by someone else triggering it by accident. She takes a deep breath and throws her sword at one of the rose creatures. As it was sailing through the air, the sword split into three individual corkscrew like swords. One of the swords imbedded itself right where the nose, or possibly head, of the rose creature was, making it writhe in pain before she rolled her hands around in a circle before she threw them out to cast a box around the remaining three rose things. The box was five meters by five meters and more than enough to contain the three creatures, but they all started to let out poison through the horizontal strips of windows near the top. "Amalie! Do that fire thing again inside the box thing I made! Or anyone else who can throw fire!" 'Wow! You're figuring out how to use your team to your advantage! Good job being a leader finally!' Veles snickers at her. Adalinda snarls slightly to herself, or more at Veles, but it would probably look like she was snarling at nothing.

Tammy had come flying back in a rather quick fashion now, and nearly crashed into Adalinda, if she hadn't quickly moved to catch her instead. 'Little cat thing found something that spooked her?' "What did you see?" Tammy was quickly trying to get her breath back and points a decent distance away. "There... are... tall... tree... things!" She huffed out. She had flown faster than she normally did without aera alone. The exceed gasps as she gets down and looks to the box. If no one threw fire into it by then, one side of it would start to melt from one or two of the rose things throwing acid at the same side, and Adalinda would regret throwing her sword at one of the creatures. If there was fire thrown in it, the box would disburse, and Tammy would be rather impressed with the carnage done around here.

Tammy turns to the group again as she points to where she had before, regardless of the state of the rose creatures as it was slightly important. She had her breath back, and glanced wearily over to Adalinda. "Up ahead are some massive four legged tree things... They didn't spy me, but some have large rocks on their backs, but they still seem capable of walking without issue... so who knows about running... They're a good distance away, so we might be okay for now, but they're making their way this way with all the noise, looking like they're investigating really..." She warns them all. "How tall?" "Yuudai tall." Adalinda sighs as she nods her head, of course these things would be. Regardless of whom took the finishing hit on the roses, Adalinda had started to make her way through the forest a bit more, but was seeming more cautious as she was keeping her eyes out for walking trees... She looks back to everyone and frowns to them "Please be careful guys. I ned you all to help with this clean up." She says before she continues walking forward. She had yet to remove her scales, but honestly believed they'd be needed regardless.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 26th February 2019, 7:21 am

Fortunately, the introductions seemed to go quickly. The white-haired girl, the one who was seemingly connected to Ruvel. Giving the name demi, and bowing politely. She would tell them she was a Fairy Tail mage. However, she also worked as a maid and hostess for the West Fiore Trading Company. That was a curious combination of careers; on the other hand, it did explain the connection the Amalie had earlier suspected. So she did know Ruvel, Amalie's superior, it was likely that the girl worked directly for him, based on the information she had given. Kyran, the redhead, only offered his name, which Amalie had already figured as much, then proceeded to mutter to himself. Amalie looked back towards Demi as she began to talk about what they were handling. The pathogens and the nature of how they worked. One targeted the mind, and the other targeted the body. Well, that seemed fairly obvious based on behaviour and physiological reactions of the two men that came to the ball that night. The disgusting boils and lesions on the one man was a clear reflection on what the disease was able to do to one's body, and the other man babbling senselessly had clearly lost his mind to it. Amalie wondered if her superiors had confirmed whether or not there were any other side effects or if it really was just the two. Well, it didn't matter that much, as long as she was able to work out enough about their infectious nature to avoid getting the disease herself.

Amalie had a little bit of knowledge on diseases, and viral mutations. She had taken the liberty of doing a little light reading on them, although she hadn't taken too much time to study it. After all, her primary focus was the seals that Johann had talked about and this being inside of her known as 'Anima'. She hadn't been able to figure out much, except that he was a creation of God, and had some connection to the souls of Martyrs. Yet it was all so vague, what did that even mean? Anima despite now being vocalised, didn't seem interested in talking much about it. She wasn't sure why, she still felt those random waves of nausea too, but she noticed they only seemed to come over her when Anima became more present. Perhaps that was why he didn't talk, because of the way he was affecting her. Yet still, there was something she hadn't been able to deduce, something important. Just when did Anima invade her body? How long had he been existing inside of her, using her as a host? Had he always been there, or was this a recent invasion? She couldn't pinpoint any particular moment in her life where she felt a such a shift; surely she would have noticed such a thing. There was just that... one moment, when she had first activated her powers true potential, the night Wyatt had died. Was it then? She would need to analyse it a little more, see if she could work out the variables and come to some kind of solid conclusion. If only Anima would be a little more cooperative, this whole thing would be a great deal easier on them.

Adalinda added to Demi's words by instructing them not to consume anything in the area; it seemed like a weird request. But then again, different magics worked in various ways, some mages might require consumption in order to activate. From the things she had read, she understood that Slayer magic had a similar kind of function, although she was sure that was magic based. She wasn't overly familiar with how slayers worked, then again Adalinda was a slayer, wasn't she? Amalie had never seen the girl consume anything in a fight, so perhaps she was misinformed. Perhaps, when they had more time, she would ask her, but not right now, that information wasn't relevant in this situation.

After throwing herself into the fight and handling the few grass-like vipers and that rose crab thing, Amalie had a moment to asses the situation. She had turned to look at the others; it seemed the team was doing reasonably well. As she eyed the fallen beasts, she nodded "Not bad." She said, before hearing Adalinda call to her, ordering her to use her flames on a box she had created. Smirking, Amalie made her way over quickly, raising her palm, "My pleasure." She opened her palm outwards so that it was facing the box, realising another burst of flames. The fire exploded from her palm, covering the box entirely. There was a series of shrieks and wails as the trap rose creatures was set alight. Unable to escape due to the confines of the box, once she finished, she noticed one of the crabs had been completely burnt to ash. Well that made sense, the spell was designed only to target one enemy at a time. She would need to re-cast the spell to take down another, or wait to see if one of her fellow teammates had a fire spell in their arsenal. Amalie looked over at Adalinda with a smirk, "My, my, that's the first time I've used my spell in combination with another's, what a diligent leader you are." She said, giving the girl a playful wink.

It was then that Tammy returned, with news of more monsters. She informed them of some giant four-legged tree like beasts wearing rocks on their backs. So more was coming, interesting, perhaps the noise from the fighting was luring more creatures towards them, like their own form of bait and they were luring in some big fish. Amalie felt herself grow a little excited; she wanted to see just how interesting this battle was going to get. It was the first time she was fighting in a setting like this, alongside other mages, completely unsure of what could jump out at them. It was somewhat of an adrenaline rush, and she was enjoying every minute. As the trees got closer, Amalie picked the closest one, summoning more shards she launched them at the tree creature. Hacking away at the tree like beasts, pieces of wood being chipped away with each cut. She followed this attack with another air bubble, forming in around what appeared to be the creature's head. She drained the bubble of oxygen and began to re-fill it with a toxic miasma. The tree began to rot inside the bubble, all the while on the outside. The shards were targeting it's limbs, slicing away at the halfway point on each leg in an attempt to rid the beast of it's ability to move completely. Amalie focused her shards so that after every cut was deliver, another shards would move in and slice the same spot. Repeating this actions and quickly severing through the wood there. The creature attempted to regenerate, some of the earth from the ground rose up and was absorbed into the beast as a means of repairing it's wounds. But regardless of it's attempts, the shards were too relentless, after a moment each of the limbs were completely cut through. The tree crumpled to the ground with a loud crash. Amalie smirked, Still too easy... She thought, before turned back towards the box to see if she needed to use her fire again or if someone else had handled it.

    Althea's Stats:
Althea had just about prepared herself to go off into the violent wilderness of wherever she was when someone apparently dropped out of the sky.  It was a rather abrupt and dusty landing, one that prompted her to immediately take a glance behind her to the latecomer.  She managed to catch a glimpse of what appeared to be wings, but in a second’s notice they were gone.  What kind of sorcery was this?  How could the laws of logic be broken so abruptly yet no one seemed to care?  Althea turned her gaze to the other members of her group, all of which not paying heed to the scenario at all.  If she had wings and they suddenly disappeared, she would be rather shocked.  Matter didn’t just poof out of existence, right?  It was almost like magic!

And that was the moment Althea finally realized that it was actually magic.  She used it practically every moment of her life yet somehow she forgot that could be an answer to some questions.  But, she still regarded the situation as disappointing, you could write off any feats as just being because of magic.  Granted, that is their cause, but she just wished she could follow her train of thought and have some sort of gigantic theory about some guy’s disappearing wings.  How did they work with magic anyways?  Were nerves artificially linked or does the magic do all the movement on it’s own, kind of like tying someone to a helicopter.  She couldn’t guess, and asking would ruin the mystery, so the young girl just remained silent the entire time.

And beyond the wing crisis, the occurrence really wasn’t too big of a point of interest for her.  As far as she knew, tons of people could fly and make big whooshes with magic or whatever.  Mages were quite peculiar as a whole, so one falling from the sky wouldn’t warrant too much of a reaction.  Her initial thoughts however were completely excused because she really just wanted something exciting to happen.  Either way, she did smile and wave at the man as he offered up a bow to her.  How weird, she hadn’t been bowed to in her life, was that a thing people did?  Did people ever do that?  How could anyone be sure that the history of the entire world hadn’t been fabricated?  Hopefully no one detect the storm of confusion whirling behind her light hearted smile.

But thankfully Althea  was given something else to ponder about other than the nature of history, a cat-thing began addressing the group.  First off, she introduced both herself and her associate, everyone else in the escapade following suit.  The slayer very much appreciated the gesture, and not only because she simply enjoyed communicating with others on even the most basic level.  One lady seemed kind of aloof, another one mysterious, but all of them would probably be a blast to talk to!  But that wasn’t all there was to her appreciation of introductions.  Indeed, at least knowing the names of those your working with was important in the case of an emergency.  What kind of emergency?  She had no idea.  But seeing as very little at all was known about what would be in the suspicious lands something along the lines of “dangerous” may occur.  Hopefully everyone could more or less take care of themself, but seeing as fighting stuff was what they signed up for it was to be expected.  No one knew much about what was to be expected, but that was half the appeal!  Guessing the opponent’s trump cards and attack patterns was half the fun of taking requests with practically no information.

But mid-sentence Adalina had paused.  It had seemed as if something had caught her and the rest of the group’s attention.  Althea’s eyes widened in awe at the group of plant-like creatures shambling on towards them.  They were so odd, so out there that the water mage felt it necessary to take a moment and just appreciate their existence.  However, within that span of time everyone else had already engaged in combat with the creatures.  The blonde cast her gaze around, looking for an opening for her to properly join in, but no such thing arose.  And taking on an opponent someone else was already dealing with was just plain rude,  you’ve got to be at least halfway decent when dealing with things.  So, Althea kind of just wandered through the battlefield, gawking at all of the impressive maneuvers of those around her.  She also noted it seemed as though some of the creatures didn’t quite like fire, too bad she had a form of water magic instead.

But eventually, entirely new enemies appeared that Althea was very much ready to engage with.  They were very tall and very fast, running towards the group at a speed the young girl immediately recognized she could not match.  But the thing the girl immediately thought of when she set her sights on them where their vague resemblance to a giraffe.  Yet, instead of having incredibly long necks their heads seemed to be almost directly attached to their bodies.  And that meant one of two things, it was a herbivore and used its legs to jump and reach vegetation, or its legs weren’t really meant to help with its height.  Adalina only needed to request for the group to “clean-up” them too that Althea dutifully answered with, “On it!” What they meant to do once they reached people was unknown, and it didn’t seem like they planned on stopping anytime soon.  But there wasn’t much time to think about her opponent’s potential technique to defeat the mages, if they had one in a first place.  So Althea just defaulted to what she usually tended to do, run straight towards the enemy as fast as possible.  It wasn’t the most foolproof plan, but the only things that the creatures potentially had for weapons were their legs or the huge stones in their back, so she’d just take care to avoid them.  And it didn’t take very long for she and the stony giants to meet.

Althea slid underneath the still sprinting creatures, coming out the other side unscathed.  Three of the tall, otherworldly beings abruptly turned on the dot while the two others resumed their approach of the group.  However, Althea had her own things to worry about, especially the fact that evading her opponents didn’t decrease their speed in the slightest, they just redirected their momentum.  She pursed her lips, imagining how inconvenient it would be to try and punch an agile opponent that outpaced her, and three of them at once nonetheless.  And yet, the slayer’s heart surged with the delight of facing something like them.  How interestingly they their long, lanky legs, she had to come up with ideas on the fly just to makeup for their absurd speed and agility.

Althea allowed for a rifle made entirely of water to begin materializing within her grasp.  She would need to get close enough the stone things couldn’t avoid her shots yet far enough they couldn’t touch her, easy enough.  She leaped into the air the moment before one of the creatures trampled over her, twisting her body as to take a shot at it in midair.  She land on top one of her other opponents before promptly returning to the air and taking a shot at the one she had leapt off while sailing over the last creature.  Althea skidded across the earth as she landed, glancing at the two creatures she had made moves against to analyze the effects.  Oddly, they had stopped, but the young girl could guess why.  They were giving off an odd magical signature that resembled that of a sort of healing ability, but her rifle decrease the potency of those so it was too bad for them.  Of course, that still meant that one other hadn’t stopped to attempt to heal itself, turning around almost immediately to pursue Althea.  But by then it was far enough Althea could just shoot at it from there.  And with that, only one more additional shot was needed for the creature’s legs to give into their exhaustion, letting their bodies fall limp atop the grassy earth.

The two remaining creatures appeared to be rather chaken by Althea’s rifle, but by the time she had finished up with one of them the other two were already upon her.  The change in their movements to prevent any additional shots being made was apparent, the giants trying to do more of a “stomping” take out rather than their bashing.  It was effective, Althea was too focused on dodging their limbs to aim, attempting not to get crushed in a frenzy like that tended to do that.  However, they sadly didn’t account for the fact Althea tended not to use spells anyways.  The blonde barrel rolled away from one creature’s leg towards another they hadn’t yet lifted upwards.  Then, she simply punched it, sending the otherworldly beast plummeting to the dirt.  Whirling around, the young girl dealt a roundhouse kick to the final one, the poor thing not having enough time to react before going limp on the floor.  And with that, Althea had dealt with the scuffle, taking herself and her rifle back to the main group.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 12th March 2019, 1:35 pm

It was amazing. The coordination shown between the team members was unlike anything Kyran had ever seen. They were ruthlessly tearing apart their enemies with little to no real effort. The creatures were barely able to appear before each one was taken out. So this was what teamwork could do. Having usually only worked with one or two people, Kyran was enjoying the sheer destructive power his team could wield. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to hold at bay all his emotions. He'd come here to avoid them or at best, assuage the need he had for violence. The craving had been permeating a fair amount of his days. Gruen had gotten away. He'd destroyed something innocent and gotten away with it.

As Tammy came back to warn about new opponents, red magical energy was crackling in the air around Kyran. His demons shuffled nervously in his mind. With his demonic bloodline recently unlocked, his power over them had increased. Only Ahriman seemed to enjoy the shift in Kyran's mood. The demon wolf was rolling about in the violence soaking it up with glee. Master Kyran, perhaps you'd do best to...step away. Kyran's lips pulled back over his teeth. It was a feral grin aimed at one of the last remaining spider roses. "Or what, Eae? Your tidy little wings will get in a knot? Besides what are you going to do about it? All you do is sit there and complain or berate me. Back off." The angel recoiled, clearly hurt by his words. Medea swiped at Kyran's mind. It was surprising that the cat would defend the angel. She was all about being on top, the loneliest place in the world. Calm yourself, human. Eae didn't do nothin'. You're losin' control and that ain't good for any of us. Snap out of it or get lost. Your team needs you focused or you can't be the best.

There was a small part of Kyran that agreed with them. When he lost control, he got reckless. The team didn't have time for that. Not here, where everything was a potential danger. The red head growled, his magic swirling about his hand. There was one way to deal with all this violent emotion. A creature he could summon to make it all go away. Sticking his spear in the ground, Kyran thrust his right hand forward. His left hand clasped his right wrist as his blood began to coalesce before his palm "Fire, that burns all hearts. Vengeance, that grips the pure. Pain, that bane of life. Death, that final countenance." The demons were screaming in his head. Erebos tried to distract Key from his plan. Medea frantically babbled trying to reason with him. Malinda sobbed near the back of his mind. Eae added her voice to Medea's. This was a bad idea. Even with this binding ritual, Ahriman was a destructive force of nature. Unleashing him, while depriving Kyran of his violent feelings, could be a colossal mistake. He didn't care at this point. "My blood to seal it all. Come forth, Ahriman!"

The demon wolf howled his triumph as he raced down Kyran's arm. The moment his mind hit the magic, it exploded rapidly forming into a massive crouching wolf shape. Black fur rippled down the wolf, tinged at the end with a deep red. Massive claws tipped his finger-like appendages on his paws. Drool dripped from his seemingly endless teeth. It sizzled in the dirt. Ahriman's orange red gaze swept across the scene. Kyran could see his devious little mind working. The demon wolf wanted to take them all out. A cold smile spread across Kyran's face. That wasn't going to happen. "Infernus" A pentagram appeared between Ahriman's eyes. The demon wolf snarled shaking his head. He knew exactly what Kyran had done.

The great wolf head swung back toward the blood mage. "You will pay for this, meat sack" He snarled sounding a great deal more intelligent than Kyran had ever heard. "But for now, I will follow your instructions. Only your enemies shall be harmed." Demonic magic rippled off Ahriman as he charged forward. His form shimmered for a moment, before seven identical copies formed around him. Four of the wolves charged for each opponent. A bit of overkill in Kyran's opinion. There were only two enemies left after the blond had done her work. Her name simply wasn't coming to mind. It was a little disappointing. She'd been rather cheerful when he arrived, at least from his perspective.

A terrible screeching sound brought Kyran back out of his own mind. The creatures hadn't been ready for Ahriman's 'pack'. They were fighting back sure but it wasn't pretty. The tree thing was basically already slivers of wood. It looked like it might have tried to heal itself but the destructive force of Ahriman overwhelmed it too quickly. The remaining wolves were fighting with the final rose spider. It was trying. It really was. A stream of acid almost caught one of the wolves. The reality was that Ahriman was toying with it. The sheer amount of damage he could have hit it with would have destroyed it in moments. Instead, the creature was bleeding from various wounds across its entire body. "Finish it, Ahriman" Kyran said turning away from the scene. He didn't need to see the end result.

"Area cleared for the moment, Ms. Adalinda." Kyran called out, double checking to make sure the area really was clear. The group could catch their breath for the moment. His gaze was rather cold looking over each of his companions. Did anyone need aid? Were they relatively unscathed? Had any of the insidious diseases here already infected any of them? Ahriman trotted over, sitting next to Kyran. Even sitting, the demon towered over the blood mage. The gore now covering his fur was disgusting. Had he rolled in the remains once he was done tearing it apart? Once a beast always a beast. He'd be useful in the upcoming fights however. That was what really mattered

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Adalinda grins slightly as Amlie had listened to her and lit her box of iron on fire to burn the rose things dead. At the complement of being a diligent leader, Adalinda started feeling  bit cocky, and couldn’t help but wink back. Her ego was slightly being raised with that. Maybe she could leader properly? She barely noticed that the blonde girl had been just wandering through the area. Or she had been wandering till the tree people monster things came. “Jeez Louise…” She mutters. The creatures were as tall as Yuudai… but they seemed easier to climb at least. But there was still an issue with them… They were basically enchanted plants brought to life by a freaking disease…

She watches a bit as the group attacked the trees, and glanced back to Tammy. She had quickly gone back and taken care of the last rose thing after Ada had released the fortress spell. Kyran had taken care of the other one. The remaining two, after Amalie used her fire on the fortress, apparently hadn’t been fully dead, but they had made sure that they were completely dead and not releasing anymore of the poison stuff. She didn’t want to have to deal with it anymore anyways. She turns her attention back to the tree things. Amalie was using her shards on them once again, and felt that those were rather useful. She glanced back to Kyran as he was growling at one of the voices in his head. She hoped it wasn’t one of the demons that loved to call her mommy as well. She’d have to knock him upside the head if it had been. “Keep yourself in control, Kyran!” Adalinda calls back to him.

She turns her head the other way and watches for a moment as the blonde ran right at the tree hunter things. “H-hey!” She tried to call out to her, but she didn’t think it’d get through to the girl. Her slide was rather impressive a bit, but Adalinda was about to go and help her. She seemed to have gotten in a bit of a bind as three of the long legged tree creatures focused on her. These things didn’t seem too fun to play with as the blonde was seeming like she was out of her mind, till she had a water rifle. Well that seemed convenient… The girl actually seemed to be holding her own well against the trio of creatures with her rifle, even with them apparently trying to heal one another. She was about to leave her to her devices… till two of the creatures begun stomping after her. Her sudden punching and kicking at them, caused Ada to snicker a bit. It… was rather impressive that she used her strength. She held her hand out in a fist for the blonde to give her a fist bump. “Water slayer, right?” She couldn’t help but question her as she looked over her shoulder to see Kyran dealing with that last long legged tree creature.

She wasn’t sure how she felt of him summoning a wolf thing, which in turn summoned more wolf things as well. Was that the physical form of Ahriman? She clenched her teeth. “You better keep that one in check! Or else I’ll kick it’s ass myself, then yours!” She threatens, but it was more for the safety of the group and to make sure that this mission didn’t flop, than to be cruel. After she had said that, she heard the wolf had said he’d listen to Kyran, which made her snicker. “Good boy.” She mutters under her breath. She quickly turns her head as she hears scuttling going on in the forest, and wasn’t going to have anything sneak up behind her. She gives a sharp nod to Kyran as he said that the area was cleared.

“Let’s get moving… I don’t want to be stuck in one spot for too long and have more things pinning us down.” She adjusts her tank top a bit, and looks around. “Everyone okay? Not out of anything?” She continues to walk on, of course she was alert for anything to jump out at them. She had a feeling all that they’ve seen so far, wasn’t even the last of it… They’d see more of them all… whether Adalinda liked it or not. She hoped everyone was able to rest up well enough and was able to continue on. If they didn’t have a way to gather their mana, she hoped they were gonna rest enough to get it back, or maybe Tammy had gotten something for them to use to get it back.

As they were walking further into the area, Adalinda realized that she was starting to hear some noises in the bushes not too far from them. They were having company again. Those little annoying grass viper creature things that they first encountered, they had come back and were wanting to cause trouble once again. What was with these dang plant things?! They weren’t doing anything but being a nuisance to them, or more Adalinda since they were moving plants… ‘Don’t you mean that this whole deal is since it seems all we’re coming up against is moving plant base things?’ Veles was trying his hardest to not laugh at Adalinda inside her head, and she simply pinched her nose a bit. “More of those Vipers!” She gave the heads up as she noticed everyone took care of the walking trees while she noticed the vipers. Guess it was great that her team was rather strong. She felt it made her job much easier as a leader. Tammy came back to Ada as Demi went on ahead to scout for them. She felt Demi could be here more on her own than the rest of them, especially since she had been here before already. She then pauses and sniffs the air. She makes a gagging noise as whatever she was smelling was smelling rotten. That other dragon slayer might be able to smell it near immediately, but she wasn’t sure how Amalie and Kyran would smell it. She turned her head and notices four twisted plant things not too far from them. She visibly shuttered from the sight of the plants.

Noises from these strange, smelly plants made the dragon slayer groan a moment later. They were up and noticed them. She was done with this. As the vipers came up in groups of four, Ada used her hands and straight up kicked one of them before it could attempt to bite them. “Cover your noses guys… we should just wear hazmat suits or something here with the plants with how terrible they are.” She mutters in annoyance. She had gotten rid of a group as the others started to come up. Tammy was working her way with another group, not allowing her back to be exposed to the vipers, but she was also relying on the others to watch her back too. “I hope nothing else comes at us!” The exceed cries out. “Don’t you dare! That’ll probably call forth more of these rotten, good for nothing, plants!” Ada nearly screamed at her companion. She wasn’t having it, already fed up with these plants that moved. She wanted to take a break for a moment, longer than that walk she had, but she guessed she wasn’t having it. They had to really work for that break.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 21st March 2019, 1:04 pm

Amalie had to admit, turning around to check on the box onto the see the carnage that was her team fighting amused the Articulation mage a great deal. She had only fought with a team once before, but her state of mind had been altered. Reversed and made weak by the black powder. It had been such as shame; she hadn't really been able to invest herself into it properly. She had held back massively, which really was no fun to reflect on. Amalie had recalled the creature's she had been required to fight that now, it irked just how much she hadn't done/ She could've easily handled them, and had fun with it too, if it hadn't been for that strange magic in the air, making her so hesitant. Which was why she was more than eager to make the most of the little group battle. Despite being capable enough on her own in any fight, it felt good to be able to work alongside other magics. To see how your magic compared as you took on the same beasts. She had even felt a sense of triumphant satisfaction when Adalinda had called upon her to burn the rose she had trapped; the success had made the mage crave more of it. Just how far could they go working together, just how compatible was this group. She was keen to indulge herself in the battle, although it seemed she no longer had any enemies to target. With the blonde Fairy Tail mage taking down more trees in an impressive combination of agility and water magic, the redhead, summoning a feral wolf-like beast that ferocious destroying the remaining beasts. Amalie twirled to look at Adalinda; she assumed that they would be moving on. But she was waiting for her leader's instructions first, even if she was eager to fight some more, her blank expression didn't reveal much at all.

Once the area was confirmed to be cleared by Kyran, Adalinda would ask if they felt okay, most likely conscious of the deadly pathogens they were at risk of being infected with. Amalie, who felt fine, made an 'okay' gesture with her right hand. Before following after the dark-haired woman. The walk made for a pretty short break from the fighting, Amalie supposed this could be construed as a 'rest' period, which would hopefully mean that the next round was going to be nice and feisty. After all, how often did you get to fight creatures a such a mass scale? Use your magic without holding back in the slightest, with no risk of feeling guilty for killing living things. There was a smoothness about the whole mission that Amalie enjoyed, the fact that they could do whatever they wanted in terms of killing these creatures, there was no rescuing involved or protecting those unable to fight. Everyone here seemed capable of handling themselves, which meant all of them could fight at full capacity, no concern over civilians. Just kill the enemy. All this destruction and yet they were still technically saving the people of Tolgalen. Because with these guilds combining their efforts to deal with this 'situation', who knew how many could become infected and die. It was a strange justice, at least in Amalie's eyes.

As a short time past, Amalie could hear the scuttling and rustling of moving around. She felt her magic creeping up through her, eager to be released. Perhaps she was enjoying the fight a little too much. Then again, she had been fighting for as long as she could remember, but it was only in the past few years she got to incorporate her magic. Before then, it had always been with her fists. During the regular 'pit fights' held by the Corvins, was there ever a disagreement between one of the women or a wife, it was handled via a fight. Amalie, being the wife of one of the head-brothers at the time often faced jealous, or discord with other women, and so was called on often. She never lost, only because she was more terrified of Wyatt's reaction if she did. It would bring shame to him, and he didn't take that lightly.

She heard her team leader call out a warning, snapping her head around sharply to look upon the creature's she had specified. Amalie waved her palm, creating more shards they would fly forward towards the vipers swiftly, taking out a row of four vipers with ease. Sliving away, they would shred them into pieces. These were too easy, Amalie felt such little resistance as the edges of her shards carved their way through them. She knew they were plant-based, but it genuinely reminded her of mowing the lawn. Not that she had to do that anymore, living in an apartment meant she didn't have a garden. She didn't miss it that much; she hadn't been much of a green thumb when she did have a garden. She really only preserved it for Wyatt's satisfaction. In his eyes, as a dutiful housewife, it was her job to keep the home looking presentable to any visitors, which meant keeping the garden in good shape.

Amalie heard Adalinda comment about a bad smell, taking a moment she paused. Then as it hit her, she wrinkled her nose. It was indeed rather unpleasant. She raised her right hand and snapped her fingers. At that moment, several air bubbles appeared all around them. Amalie stepped over to one and pushed her head into it. "Use those if you wish, they will keep out the scent."  She instructed, and as she continued, the air bubble would sit on her shoulder. Keeping the air she breathed pure from contaminated scents or toxins. She wasn't really fussed if her teammates decided to use them or not, but she figured if they were 'supposed' to work together. This meant dealing with something like this, after all, a smell like that mind indicate an airborne bacteria pertaining to the virus. She could be wrong, but it wasn't worth the risk. She turned to face one of the stationary plantlike creatures, a twisted thing that sort of reminded her of a crab, yet a lot more 'organic', for lack of a better descriptive term. As she eyed the wood and moss, she decided to try the simplest theory of attack. Spreading her palm outwards, she released a ball of fire. That slammed into one of the smelly creatures. Catching alight, the creature screeched loudly as it withered away and died. Another one weak to flames, She thought casually, it seemed her magic really was well suited in this fight. And while Adalinda seemed insistent on not wanting to lure more of the creatures over, Amalie really was hoping for more of a challenge.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 31st March 2019, 12:53 pm

Kyran glanced at Adalinda when she told him he better be able to control Ahriman. He'd cast the sealing ritual, hadn't he? Ahriman was a demon. The pentagram kept him under control. Any idiot could see that. You shouldn't be so critical with your thoughts, Master Kyran. Eae cautioned. Kyran could still sense tears in her eyes from when he'd yelled at her. He had conflicting feelings regarding that. Eae hadn't deserved to be yelled at. Yet he didn't really want to apologize to the angel. She knew exactly why he was lashing out. Well why he had lashed out. All of his concentrated rage was held within Ahriman now.

A grimace on his face, the blood mage followed after his team leader. His mind dwelled upon the unlocking of his new powers. A demon or several had once been apart of his family bloodline. Ironic that his family had forgotten and isolated him for that very fact. His terrible treatment had been for unlocking a singular ability of their blood. Any of them could have done the same. It was ridiculous that with the lost history came prejudice and fear. Adalinda called out about more grass snake things. It drew Kyran back into the present. They had a job to do. There was no point in dwelling upon the awful past that colored who he was.

Amalie seemed to be handily dealing with the vipers that had appeared by her. Kyran turned to see what his wolf would do. Ahriman batted one with his claws. it shredded apart instantly. The demon sat back on his haunches. "Not worth my time, flesh bag. Deal with these weaklings yourself." He huffed, licking a paw. Looks like the doggie has lost his taste for the fight Medea taunted. Kyran rolled his eyes, his spear spinning around him. With the amount of plant based opponents, he was beginning to feel a different weapon was in order. One that breathed fire. For these snakes however, there was little need for such a weapon. His spear danced and spun among them. Soon, six bodies joined the one Ahriman had killed. The other vipers seemed to be keeping their distance. Kyran couldn't tell if it was himself or the demon that was keeping them at bay.

He leaned the spear back against his shoulder. A terrible smell began to drift through the trees. Ahriman whimpered, pawing at his nose. Kyran wrinkled his own. Something must have died here. As some twisted plant forms came through the trees, it was evident where the smell was coming from. Fantastic that on top of everything else there was a terrible smell to deal with too. Oh fantastic now it can smell as awful as it looks. Malinda commented dryly. Luckily, Amalie seemed to have a solution to the smell. Kyran carefully fit the bubble over his head. This was a rather useful spell to have. Now the issue was how to deal with the plant things that emitted such a stench.

The redhead stuck his spear in the ground. Putting his hand to his side, he concentrated on the angelic powers of his secondary magic. Bright light encased his hand. When the blood mage pulled it forth, a sword formed in his hand. It had a beautiful silver blade being swallowed by the golden dragon of the hilt. Kyran turned the blade this way and that. It was the Draco Gladius Sanctus. The sword that Eae had tested him with. The angel winced opening her mouth to issue an apology. Kyran silently shook his head to cut her off. That was neither here nor there. It had helped him get closer to Gaia which in the end was all that truly mattered.

The blood mage leveled his sword at one of the approaching plant things. Amalie had already taken care of one. Here was the second. Flames swirled down the blade, coalescing in a fireball at the tip. The thing shot through the trees to consume the plant. It barely had time to scream before shattering into ash. Kyran looked at Ahriman. The demon was still pawing at his nose. "The faster you deal with these things, the sooner the smell will be gone." He said, his voice lacking any emotion whatsoever. The wolf growled low in its throat. His body glowed red as the wolf shot forward.

Six copies of Ahriman tore into the second plant. This one lasted a good deal longer, shrieking and striking out at the demon wolf. Kyran walked forward calmly yanking his spear from the ground. He studied the thing while advancing. Regeneration or heavy armor if plants had that seemed to be slowing Ahriman down. He would tear it apart, of that Kyran had no doubt, but it would take quite a while. Possibly. Six Ahrimans were a powerful force. Kyran watched Ahriman take a hit to the side before turning toward the final creature. His damage output would need to be fairly high to deal with it. His fireball earlier wasn't a joke but the plants were weak to fire. That had probably doubled the damage it would have normally done.

So be it. A golden light in the form of a dragon crawled up from his sword. It settled down upon his shoulders imbuing him with more power. Kyran had a faint thought that maybe he was overdoing it. The monsters they'd met hadn't been particularly powerful. If they were merely the weaklings in this forest, he could be setting himself up for failure later. There was no desire to bring down his team due to miscalculations. You sound like a damn robot. Medea grumbled, swiping at his mind. Take it out already and reabsorb Ahriman so we can get the better version of you already.

Kyran obliged the cat. He shot forward, driving his spear into the plant creature. It shrieked trying to strike at him. The blow was dodged with ease. It seemed to be moving in near slow motion. His sword slashed twice followed with another stab from his spear. So the dance went. Strike, strike, dodge. Strike, strike, dodge. Kyran found himself getting into a rhythm just as the creature shuddered. He spun away from a halfhearted blow. That must be the end of its strength then. Kyran drove his spear deep into its side, twisting to ensure its demise. It shrieked one final time before toppling over on its side. Ahriman trotted over, finished with his monster as well. Excellent. That should make three of the four he'd seen in the trees down. Plus Amalie's, that was the last of them. That awful scent should dissipate with their deaths.

"Ms. Adalinda?" He called stepping away from the monster's corpse. "How will we know if the area is clear or not? There is no way to see the entirety of it and the monsters seem to keep coming from somewhere." Their mission to clear things up seemed rather endless to that end. However, if they were preparing this area for others, it seemed prudent to find the source of the problem as quickly as they were able. "Is there a plan to find a monster's nest or are we to slog through every monster, hoping we didn't miss any?" No need to be snotty, Master Kyran. She's doing the best she can. I'm sure the mission orders were vague and unhelpful. The blood mage pressed a finger to his temple. He didn't need the commentary. There had to be a game plan for really clearing out the area. Otherwise, every monster they killed could easily be replaced by another in a short amount of time. That didn't accomplish their mission in the slightest.

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Again, the little group the dragon slayer had accompanying her was proving to being able to handle themselves and was fighting these creatures with near ease it seemed. A grin was on her face as she knocked out the vipers and saw her companions doing the same. Tammy had been rather helpful and finished off the last of the vipers after she had kicked a couple away. As Amalie had snapped her fingers, Ada looked over to her, covering her nose a bit. She felt like she was ready to barf from the smell… in fact, she actually was since the smell was so strong to her. Having something to eat before this was a terrible idea now. And she was hating every moment of this feeling while she bent over a bit to let the contents of her stomach out by her feet. “I’m going on vacation after this…” She growls to herself while wiping the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand. She looked over at the air bubbles Amalie made, and smiles to her. “Thanks! I need this!” She breathes as she grabbed one of these air bubbles. Adalinda pushed the bubble thing onto her own head and took a deep breath. The smell had subsided for her, but she still had that lingering feeling of wanting to throw up, even though there wasn’t much left for her to throw up anymore really. Even though she knows it’s probably a bad idea to do so, she took a moment for herself to gather herself together again. Her group wouldn’t let anything happen to her, neither would Tammy. Slowly, she stands up straight once again to see Amalie and Kyran going after the plants that smelled like literal death. She could deal with not going after one… she didn’t know if she could handle it after smelling them already.

She looks up as she watches Amalie take care of her one smelly plant, and Kyran’s wolf demon multiply and attack the others. She probably could have joined that frey… but not with the state of her stomach right this second. She tapped the bubble a little, trying to see how sturdy it was now that it was on her. “Sorry I wasn’t much help…” She rubs the back of her head as she takes a deep breath. The slayer looks over to Kyran as he calls to her. “Kyran… C’mon… drop the ‘Ms.’” She rolls her eyes as she snorts a little. No way was she having him get that formal with her. Tammy excused herself from the group to go on ahead and scout once more. Adalinda had a half smirk on her face for a second, but it dropped as she listened to him more. She raised an eyebrow while slightly turning her head to the side. Didn’t she already give him this information before? She then lifts her head up again and makes her way over to Kyran. She’d just have to expand on it now. “Kyran… We are to clean up, and be security here. We clean up any infected matter somehow, and thin out the hostiles and protect the other groups collecting samples and getting information about the stuff. That’s all I know, and all you know. A monsters nest would be great to find and cut out at the roots, but there is also the thought of, what if we are already in the monsters nest? Hm?” She shrugs her shoulders as she turns around to Amalie. She raised an eyebrow to her as well. “I’m open to suggestions on how else to get rid of the creatures we’re facing. My only plan is take them head on like we’ve been. ‘Cause really… that’s all there seems to be with knowing nothing of the land and about what some of these creatures can do. Now. If no one else has any ideas. Lets go.” She let her jaw clench shut as she casts a side glance towards Kyran for a moment.

She wasn’t going to hide that that had irked her a bit, but there was also nothing she could do too. Maybe she could dragon up and roar over the land? But that would put others in danger as she didn’t know where the group was. Or it could kill her if she inhaled some of the wrong pathogen. Now that she was thinking of that… using the roar would not be wise to do. ‘Look who’s thinking more with actual plans and the like! Please don’t try sucking in any of the air like that… Even with this bubble.’ Veles was sighing to her. She shakes her head some, and looks back to the group. Kyran questioning her simple plan made her start questioning herself as a leader already. Didn’t help that she knew next to nothing of the area herself. This was no fun now. ‘Being a leader isn’t supposed to be fun. Do what you need to to keep your group safe, and complete what you were sent here to do.’ The dragon within her head was actually comforting her? She blinks to herself before she shakes her head. No more playing. It was time to get back to work. Tolgalen was at stake here… kind of. She looked over her shoulder to the pair, and raised an eyebrow while she smirks. “Ready to keep on slogging?” She jokes a bit. As she said that though, something white had flown above the trees and past the area. Adalinda quickly snapped her head and looked around with a bit of worry at the sky. She hoped to all the high heavens that they didn’t have to fight some monster bird… She more hoped it wasn’t a plant bird though.

Tammy came flying back once more, and wearily looked towards Kyran before looking between both the girls. Whatever Ada saw, it hadn’t been in Tammy’s line of sight at least. Or she was going crazy. “So… It seems this area is free of any more creatures, save for those vipers here and there.” She starts out, then she clears her throat. “But it seems about a mile or three north is a couple groups of… more plant... tree... creatures.” She makes a face as she felt bad for having to announce that. Adalinda lets up a groan. “Why do we have mutated plants here?!” She rubs her temples for a moment before she takes a deep breath. “Alright… lead the way… Hopefully they can be taken out quick.” “Maybe not… the groups I saw each were tree things and they each seemed to walk on two legs - er… stumps? They also had their branches in claws? One was in a swamp area to the northwest, the other in a more forestry area and… kinda taller…” Adalinda puts her hands on her hips as she shakes her head, then motions for Tammy to lead the way once more. Vacation sounded really great now… Get herself some alcohol, enough to get blackout drunk again...

At the very least the air bubbles Amalie had provided were proving to be an effective defence against the smells. They weren't powerful in terms of their defensive capabilities, mainly because they were designed more to be offensive. But both Adalinda and Kyran had taken to using the air bubble to protect themselves without hesitation. It was intriguing how well her companions trusted in the belief that she was aiding them. Having put the air bubbles on without even question her. Perhaps it was because they were members of the same guild or maybe they assumed that it would be foolish for her to use the spell in a way that didn't benefit all of them. After all, they were supposed to be fighting as a team, and even though she liked working solo. She wasn't foolish enough to believe she could scour these lands on her own without any further aid.

Still, it was interesting to witness others using her magic for their benefit. For the most part, she used this spell to suffocate or poison her targets. If she wanted to, she could fill it with a poisonous miasma or pull out all of the oxygen inside of it. That was just how she had initially designed the spell when she'd learned it. It's supportive qualities hadn't come into use until more recently. Maybe it had something to do with her being part of her guild that was causing her to consider ways in which her magical could be more contributory. Before today she had used it once during a job to rescue civilians who had found themselves shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean — having used the orbs to lift them out of the water with the air bubbles and moved them to the safety of a new ship. That had been the first time she had used the spell supportively at all, but it had been a rescue mission, not to mention there had been children involved. It was always a different story when children were at risk.

Like a switch, something tended to change in Amalie; even she knew she had a soft spot for children. Having yearned for many years to become a mother, only to be consistently disappointed whenever that time came to reveal that she once again wasn't pregnant. It had been a key pinnacle in the downfall of her marriage with Wyatt. She wanted a child, and he wanted a son — someone to take the family name and continue the Corvin line. But the doctors revealed a truth that left him furious; he was to blame for the childless marriage. He could not give her or any woman a child it seemed. But it didn't stop him from trying; it had been some times after the infidelity started. And although there were those in the organisation who claimed it was because he had grown tired of Amalie. She knew the truth. That his denial that it was his fault had pushed him to betray her, and she had no means to stop it. Because the first time she had confronted him, he had punished her ruthlessly. Almost starving to death in the confines of the cupboard he locked her in, following the merciful beating her had given her first. A result of her ... 'insolence' as he so put it. The first of many shut-ins.

In spite of these unpleasant memories haunting her mind, the emotional state of Amalie did not shift. She was good at that, not reacting. For as long as she could remember she had always been relatively numb to sadness and hate. Perhaps it was why she had managed to endure it for so many years; she had just accepted it as her fate, a consequence of the husband she chose. Perhaps if she were a little more emotional receptive, she would have gotten away sooner. But sometimes it felt like something was holding back those feelings, stopping her from caring more than she did. Her shell would remain the same regardless of what horrors she was thinking of, and it would not affect her as she fought. She had still been able to deal with the grass vipers and that smelly beast without faltering.

It seemed that the red-head managed to handle the oncoming creatures with little difficulty as well; the man had also taken advantage of the air bubble Amalie provided. It seemed he had no trouble continuing the fight. Amalie had to appreciate his ability to get the job done at the very least. Adalinda, on the other hand, seemed especially affected by the stench. She had thanked Amalie for the air bubble, but it hadn't been quite enough to settle her immediately as the monsters were finished off between Amalie and Kyran. The black haired woman apologised for her inability to take part in that round of fighting. Amalie cocked her head, "I see, I've heard that Slayers had heightened senses." She commented. It was more of a statement of acknowledgement rather than a question. Out of most magical types, Slayer was the one with the most immediately recognisable similarities amongst its kind; with features like heightened senses, the ability to consume the element of their magical type to increase their power and other variables. From what Amalie had observed, Adalinda's magic, in particular, created some form of metal-based attacks, perhaps Iron. Although she wasn't sure how the 'consumption' factor worked, Amalie didn't have any iron-based spells, and so couldn't aid the woman. Not that she felt concern for their team leader, but it would increase the likelihood of their survival if she were able to recover quickly. Amalie supposed that in this circumstance the slayer would just have to find her own means to overcome her nausea.

Kyran would make a rather abrupt comment about their purpose, Amalie raised a brow as she listened to his questioning of their leader. The mention of a nest would cause Amalie's lip to curl up slightly. That was an exciting thought; she could just imagine the strong monsters she would get to face. Her magic would truly get to be tested; she liked that possibility. Although the risk of death would be significantly higher, even so, it was an exhilarating prospect. Plus overcoming such an overwhelming fight was bound to help her grow strong, and strength was something she aspired for. She needed it, especially if she was going to face off against Charles and the remainder of his underground organization. Amalie listened idly as Adalinda began reiterating the actual goal they had been given. Amalie's eyes remained on the woman as she turned to her, claiming she would be open to suggestions but for the time being their only function plan was to take them head-on as they had been.

Amalie didn't have any suggestions, because she didn't actually find issue with the plan they had at current. She was happy to just continue forward for as long as they were able. It didn't make sense for her to argue against the most fitting ideal for her. The slayer was noticeably irritated as she began to move on. Amalie fell into step behind her, eying the area as she considered whether or not she should comment on the matter. She could very well have stayed quiet at this point, let the 'energy' of the interaction sit in the air. Adalinda and Kyran seem to know each other, perhaps they were even friends, although Amalie couldn't tell. Even so, she had the urge to comment, and after a moment of thought. She decided to state it because quite frankly there wasn't any reason not to.

"If I may..."She began simply, her gaze falling on the man as she addressed his point. "I doubt it is a major concern whether we find a nest or not; as Adalinda stated we are merely here to thin the herd. To decrease the numbers of enemies that could potentially attack the others. But even so, I doubt the missions of the other teams will proceed without them having to defend themselves should monsters stumble upon them. Which as we have thus far witnessed, seems to occur quite frequently. Nor do I doubt they aren't capable enough to kill the monsters. We are all mages after all, and seeing as the West Fiore Trading Company had included the 'Alliance' in this task. That would only mean we have the equivalent of three relatively capable guilds handling this mission. Which is quite a number in itself, from what I understand about guild relations, it's rare that more than two guilds will work together. To have three well-known factions involved is an impressive feat in itself, I wouldn't place doubt on the impact that our overall total will have on diminishing the number of monsters in the region. Not only that but isn't the primary focus of this whole ideal based on the success of the other teams. Those who are gathering samples and information on the pathogen so that we can work on a cure or potentially even a vaccine for it. As far I was aware, we really are just a 'clean-up' crew, are merely here to support them." She explained, her voice wouldn't carry particular concern, but more of one merely stating their point to gain mutual understanding. This had been at least her expectation of why they were here in the first place; she had never anticipated any major glory from the job. It was just 'kill what you can' what you looked at it simply.

"Don't get me wrong, the prospect of a nest is an exciting one at that, and to remove the source of the pathogen at its base would be a great success for the entire operation. But regardless the further in we move the more obvious it will become where the monsters are coming from. If we move in that general direction, the likelihood is we will stumble on the nest anyway." She said, her expression became teasing as she glanced between the others. "That is, of course, only if we can last that long." She added with a wink. It wasn't impossible to suspect that they very well might run out of steam before they even got to that point and running on empty while facing the mass birthplace of such a horrific horde of beasts. Well, the odds weren't good, as fun as it might be, Amalie didn't intend on dying on a random island at the hands of some diseased plants.

As Adalinda glanced back at them, asking if she was ready to continue on. She would nod at her simply; she was more than ready to take on more. Tammy, who seem to be the scout of the group, returned once more with more information. She broke down what monsters were around, mentioning once more plant-based' creatures, which cause their leader to groan. Amalie got the impression the woman wasn't fond of plants monsters or perhaps it was just planted in general, she had determined which. Amalie had no qualms; she had determined that some of the more 'plant-like ' of the monsters tended to be weaker to her flames. Which meant she had, for the most part, an advantage against these creatures, for she had at least two spells that would aid her, one of which so happened to be one of her stronger spells although the situation hadn't yet become dangerous enough for her to cast 'Firestorm'. The first and only time she had used it was when she had been fighting alongside that green-haired girl when they had taken on the giant Leviathian. Which really had been a fight or die scenario. It had been the first time Amalie had actually felt she was at real risk of dying, especially when that one snake had swallowed her whole. Fortunately, her instincts had gotten her out of that one.

As they moved forward, Amalie's eyes fell on the monsters. Both types of the monsters ahead were quite large. Some looked like the rotting carcass of some type of mammal, reduced entirely to the bone. Its body was covered in vines and moss. They were around ten feet tall, as Amalie's icy-blue eyes landed on the lethal looking talons they had. She made a note to avoid those when she fought. The other type of tall monster was somewhat similar to the tree like hunter thing from earlier. Only while those had only been ten feet tall, these monstrosities were fifty feet. Although their movements seemed slow. Amalie paused, contemplating her options, she moved forward, so she was standing between the two areas; the swamp and the forestry. She did a quick estimation of the range, this should be enough. Although it would be fine to take the creatures on in a much closer combat style of fighting. There was quite a few of them, and she suspected they wouldn't be as easy to fell as the others. It made more sense to play strategically rather than whimsically at this point.

She cleared her throat, feeling the magic pooling up inside her at this point. Becoming stronger and more commanding as she went to call her next spell. She magic burst from her, manifesting in her spells. "Firestorm." There was a rumbling in the sky above, as the clouds would shift. It was quite the dramatic spell, and one of her more powerful. As from the sky, four giant balls of fire rain down. They were soaring down from above, moving towards the group at great speed. Moving towards the targets Amalie assigned them to, they slammed down hard, two of them into the swamp creatures and the other two hitting a tree demon each. Amalie observed as the beast's reaction. As the moss and vines caught alight and the monsters flailed at the damage. Amalie recognised that the swamp ones were more affected by the fire. Within moments, the two boney creatures crumpled to the ground as the magical fire reduced the creature to a pile of charred bones.

Satisfied, she turned her gaze to the giant tree monsters. Who although they had taken some damage was still much less affecting by the spell. Additionally, they were moving towards her, although, quite slowly at that. She took this initiative for her next attack, turning to face them. She raised her palm and released a burst of fire. The spell slammed into the closest one. The flames from the spell merging from her Firestorm spells. She felt it connect, but still, it wasn't doing enough to really affect the beast. She needed more, with a wave of her arm. A horde of shards manifested in the air behind her. She directed them towards the monsters, hacking away as much as they could. Amalie strode towards the creature's, her eyes steady. "Flight." She commanded. Her body as though suddenly weightless rose into the air, and she shot forward. She stopped mid-air between the creatures. She brought her arms down by her side, palms facing upwards. "Discipline." her hands began to crackle with electricity. The electric currents extended from her grip, forming long whips. Pulling her arms in, she suddenly lashed both whips out. They stretched towards the tree demons, splitting in the air, each whip divided into five from each hand. They wrapped themselves around the bodies of the tree demons. Areas like their necks, arms, waists and legs bound by her whips, all the while crackling with electricity. As the electricity crackled through them, their movement slowed even more. A less sturdy opponent would have been stunned by this attack.

She took a steadying breathe, "Alright beasties, time for a lie-down," Turning in the air, she gripped the whips tightly, before dragging her body down. Using the force of her spells to increase the force, she gritted her teeth and dragged them down as hard as she could. She landed on the ground, pulling harder. Her shards erupted around her flying towards the creatures. They slashed away at them, pushing down on the beast in and attempt to aid their fall. After a few moments, the monsters lost their balance, falling towards each other. They smashed into one another, forced that way from the direction that Amalie had pulled them. She quickly darted back out of the way as they crashed to the ground. Panting as she did so, the shards continued to slice away at the creatures. Like a hungry swarm, making sure the prey was dead. She took a moment to catch her breath, a small satisfied smirk on her lips. Now, these things had been tougher to take down; she had actually needed to exert some energy to kill them. Perhaps they really were moving closer to a nest of sorts. The more powerful beasts were certainly beginning to show themselves. Plus she had the feeling that there was something much more challenging ahead. Perhaps it was just a hunch, but her sense of 'self-preservation' felt greater than normal.

She used her magical senses to evaluate her magical resources, concentrating for a moment on herself. She tested the levels of her remaining power to see how much she had left, her smirk dropped slightly at her discovery. She had to be careful with her spells, that had been quite the expenditure of magic, she had used up over a third of her mana at this point. She hoped some of it might begin to regenerate naturally soon. But still, if she weren't careful, she would put herself at a real risk of running out of mana. Inspite of her ability to slowly gain back her mana over time, it she used magic quicker than she could get it back, her body wouldn't be able to keep up. I need to surpass these limits. She thought, feeling a small sense of frustration. Not only to face off against Charles but just to get it through this mission. As fun as it was to fight powerful creatures, it wouldn't be worth it if she ended up dead.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 9th April 2019, 1:28 pm

There was a glimmer in Kyran's eye as Adalinda asked him to drop the 'Ms.'. It was too perfect an opportunity to miss. "Whatever you say, Ms. Ada." He teased, drawing chuckles from Erebos. The redhead did listen to the explanations of his teammates. They made good points. They weren't here to entirely clear the area, nor was that even possible for them. The other teams would get attacked regardless of what they did. They could also be standing in the middle of the monster's nest but it would be impossible to tell. Well not impossible. One of them would need to be a proficient monster hunter or tracker. Those were skill sets Kyran didn't have to be sure. And as Amalie pointed out, this mission's success didn't even depend on them. It was the successes of the other two teams that were truly important.

The blood mage found himself struggling against his magic. Struggling against the absolute baser parts of himself. The parts that wanted only to win, to be mischievous, to lust for blood in this case. Each of his demons had been born from those parts of himself. With his anger, his violence, gone they all vied for attention, for control. He wanted to one up his teammates. Be the absolute, undisputed best on this mission without reserve. Amalie seemed to be his only competition but he knew what Adalinda could do when she got serious. Briefly, Kyran's eyes flashed gold. Tawny fur began to spread up his arms before receding. He wanted to play tricks, play games with the monsters and his teammates. Push them off balance until they finally lost their cool. His eyes flashed a dark green. Sections of his skin turned pure shadow, almost vanishing in despite the light. He wanted blood. To drench the ground in monster blood until it stuck to everything. The piles of corpses would rise higher and higher until they formed a mountain range. Kyran's eyes flashed a purple color as snake scales climbed up his arm. A deep growl reverberated from his chest.

Just like that it all pulled into the background again. Kyran blinked, hearing the end of Amalie's teasing statement. He let his lip curl slowly upward. "This is nothing, Ms. Amalie. I'm sure you can keep up with me if you really try hard. Maybe I'll even give you a bit of the monster nest to take care of." His voice and expression were arrogant. His body however was posed like some kind of super hero. Kyran even managed to hold the stance for a few seconds before dissolving into laughter. It didn't last long but it was soul cleansing. It was also quickly apparent he'd been putting on a show with his arrogant act. "Thank you. Both of you. I needed a good laugh after losing my..." His voice stopped, choked off by emotion. Eae buffed his mind disapprovingly. You need a good cry, not laughter. Let yourself grieve properly. With Gaia. Your one and only.

Kyran took a deep breath. It was easy to brush aside the angel's words. What use did grief have? Especially here. Besides, Gaia didn't know about his daughter. It would be a shock that could destroy their relationship. At that point, he might as well lie down and die here in this stinking pit. He managed a strained smile at his companions. "I lost someone close to my heart recently... It's not important, lets go." The blood mage leapt up upon Ahriman's back. The demon wolf growled, his body shaking violently. Clearly he didn't like being ridden. A kick of Kyran's heels sent him forward however. The demon didn't have any choice but to obey.

The redhead kept a fair distance from his companions while they traveled. He didn't want to talk about it. There wasn't a need. The matter had already been handled. Adalinda might know that his daughter had died. He'd had to brief her on the mission to go save her. Not to mention the Iron Dragon Slayer had taken out a black lab of her own. He'd have to ask what experiments Gruen had been running in that one. Kyran only needed to hand the evidence in from those labs to get Gruen kicked from Dyer Industries. The only reason he hadn't at present was doing so would catapult him into the CEO position. He wasn't ready for that. With the wedding coming up, he also didn't have time. Gruen's punishment, eviction, etc. would have to wait for now. His older brother would get what was coming to him though. It was only a matter of time.

The appearance of a shambling mound confused Kyran. Ahriman's hair stood on end and the demon growled at the thing. It turned slowly toward them. "Shit" Kyran muttered seeing the bone white of a skeletal face. This was one of the creatures they were supposed to fight. He looked around. His teammates weren't in sight. He'd wandered too far away, lost in thought as he had been. That was fantastic. They could be facing more of these creatures while he puttered around. There weren't any sounds of combat though. That was a good sign. Probably. The blood mage eyed the creature in front of him. Was it fast enough to catch him or could they leave it behind? Ahriman turned his head to look at Kyran. The redhead sighed. Of course. What had he been thinking?

"Go." That was all Ahriman needed. The black demon wolf leapt forward. He was near the size of the creature. It could be an even match. However given some of the unique qualities of monsters they'd seen, Kyran doubted it. The blood mage launched himself into the monster once they were close enough. His weapons blurred, striking repeatedly. The creature bellowed, dripping ichor from its wounds. Kyran landed in a crouch next to it. It was almost done. The wounds he'd inflicted were fatal. He slowly rose to his feet as the thing teetered. Its body glowed, drawing something from the surrounding plant life. Green light streamed toward it. Then Ahriman hit it. His claws and teeth quickly had the head separated from the body. It was over.

Kyran jumped away from the ichor spraying from the severed neck. "Enough, lets go." He said as the demon ravaged the corpse. "The others need us." You don't know that. Perhaps you are worried about them? Kyran didn't reply racing side by side with Ahriman. The wolf led the way with his superior sense of smell. They arrived in time to see Amalie destroying two tree monsters. Ahriman gave Kyran a wolfy grin. "I like her. Can I keep her?" The blood mage didn't say anything, merely closing his fist. The marking upon Ahriman's brow glowed. It caused a whimper to wind its way from the demon's throat.

"Kill the monsters" Kyran said, opening his fist. "And give us all a boost if you will." Ahriman glared but threw back his head and howled. The magic washed over Kyran. He could feel the power emanating through his veins. The magic swept across the battle field washing over everything. From testing it, Kyran knew Amalie and Adalinda would feel much faster. Their opponents on the other hand would only feel pain. Each monster glowed red as Ahriman's spell took hold. Their bodies smoked touched by the powers of hell. The tree things didn't seem to take as much damage. Kyran frowned at that. They'd take a little more work to take down.

Ahriman split into six versions of himself before charging one of the trees. Kyran decided to watch for the moment. The six wolves tore into bark. They growled viciously trying to do damage. It took the six of them to do any real damage. Ahriman finally opened up a large cut upon the creature's trunk. Then all of his copies vanished. The wolf howled as he grew in size. Runes glowed across the entirety of his body. The blood mage turned away. The tree was done. With its slow movement and Ahriman's power up, it wouldn't take long for it to topple.

The redhead turned his attention on the last three shambling mound creatures. Two smoldering husks sat nearby. Weak to fire then? He aimed his sword. The dragon's mouth opened, shooting a fireball off the end of the blade. The creature it struck shrieked, flailing. Kyran charged forward. It needed to end quickly before it called upon its healing magic. He tossed his spear at the thing. The monster cried out again, the blood red shaft protruding from its throat. What passed for its throat anyway. Then Kyran was beside it, his sword flashing rapidly.

The light went out from the creature's eyes. The body hit the forest floor with a massive thud. Happy with the results, Kyran retrieved his spear. There were still plenty of tree monsters left. Perhaps they needed to work together to take them down. Working alone, these things could consume their mana at a rapid pace as the mages threw multiple spells to bring them down. Ahriman reappeared at Kyran's side. His tail was wagging, his muzzle covered in gore. Kyran wrinkled his nose and looked around for Adalinda. Where was she in all this mess? If he remembered correctly, she didn't like plants too much. Their first set of jobs together probably had something to do with that. Zombie bears and other animals because of flowers could creep someone out. Yet he didn't think she'd abandon them to combat because of it. Kyran settled into a defensive position for the moment. Until he knew where Adalinda was, he didn't want to let loose. There was a risk of accidentally hitting her. Even with all their problems that was not something Kyran desired to do.

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Adalinda wiped the back of her mouth as she takes a deep breath, nodding to Amalie’s statement of Slayers having heightened senses. “Yeah. I can smell maybe better than a dog. Can hear better too.” She points to her ears as she looks over to Kyran again. She got he was trying to be slightly formal or whatever with her, but she didn’t need him to be. Especially not with her. “I’ll beat you to a pulp if the plants don’t eat you first after we’re done here.” She chuckles at him before he questioned her and irritated her a bit with it. When Amalie begun to speak up again after Adalinda’s initial comment of their tasks at hand, she paused and looked back to the other woman. She listened to the other woman as she spoke, smirking slightly as she nodded to her. “Yes. Our removing the creatures will be helpful to the other groups, but our success also determines the other teams success, technically.” Ada points out. A smirk was on her lips as she pointed to her. “We fail to thin the ranks, they have a high chance to fail to get a sample or whatever. I dunno.” She waited for Amalie to get done with her spiel before she snorts. “I’ll make sure we last that long.” She tells her with a small nod.

Before she continued on, the dragon slayer looked back to her long time guild mate as he had started flashing between the various demons within him. Her eyes glaring at him through slits for a moment. She wanted to make sure he wasn’t losing his mind or whatever. She rolls her eyes at Kyran once he was back to normal and commented to Amalie. “Don’t make me get in contact with your girlfriend.” Ada snorts at him. She gives him a ‘I’m sorry’ glance when he mentioned losing someone close to him recently, and felt she had a pretty good guess of what it was. She shakes her head and went on forward. Like hell was it not important though. She was grumbling things to herself about not liking having to deal with these ‘stupid plant creatures’ and about how they just had to come to life. With all her grumblings, she didn’t notice Kyran had gone off on his own at first. She blinked and looked around them. “I swear… if he ditched for home… I’m going to kick his ass to oblivion and drown him under the waters of Tolgalen!” She hissed aloud, not caring about Amalie hearing her threat.

She looked over as she sensed the huge monsters not too far, and takes a deep breath. “Yo ho and a bottle of rum.” She mumbles as she quickly lifts the refilling horned flask, that Kyran had gotten her once upon a time, and drank from it. A grin was on her face as she felt rejuvenated from simply sipping the contents. If one had a strong nose, they’d smell the alcohol within the horn. It was one of the stronger alcohols her mate created for her to have. Instead of hindering her, the alcohol was helping her instead, and it showed as she focused on the creatures in front of her. “Hey Tam…” The black haired slayer smirks as she looks over to her purple companion. Tamaria raises an eyebrow to Ada, and crosses her arms. “Yes…?” “Have any Iron for me in that bag of yours?” She questions before the exceed reached into her bag and chucked a bar of iron at her. “Eat up.” “With pleasure…” The girl lifts the bar to her mouth and took a rather huge bite out of the metal, leaving a chunk missing. Then, she just stuck it in her mouth, holding it very much like a cigar as she cracks her knuckles. It was time to stop slacking and get to work. She felt her mana just slightly come back, as well as her necklace pull some from some iron that was apparently nearby.

Amalie went on ahead of her and had thrown out some fire once again at both of the creatures they had to go after. As she had done so though, she apparently had taken care of a couple of the creatures that were in the swampy area, falling prey rather easily to her fires once more. She wasn’t going to stop her from doing that. If anything, that helped her, or more Tammy. Let them both know that fire was the best thing for there, and it only made Tammy happy as she was the one with the sword that used fire. This would be easier on her. She let Amalie go after the giant trees, going to go and help her while staying out of the way of her fire and shards, till she flew herself up. Adalinda wasn’t exactly expecting that, but she was impressed none the less that her magic allowed her to fly. Her going between two of the creatures made Adalinda feel a bit worried for a moment. “Ama-” She was cut off as she created two whips, in which Ada just threw her arms up. “Guess you got this.” She chuckles quietly. Tamaria came up from behind Ada and grabbed her. This was Adalinda’s way of flight out of her dragon form.

“Throw me at one of them!” She chuckles to the purple cat. Tamaria lets up a groan, but does as her crazy dragon slayer asked of her. She threw her at one of the giant tree demon things, and Adalinda landed on it’s shoulder. “Hi there, bud!” She chuckles as she slams her hands into its shoulder. “I think you may have some iron snakes in you, best watch out.” Usually these six meter long iron snakes would wrap around their enemies, but in this case, she figured they could simply snap the wood that are within the tree demons. And if that would work… best go to the bottom. To their legs. She chuckles as she begins to climb over the beast like it was nothing. Shaking her arms, she felt the strength come to her hands. As her snakes traveled down to the legs, Adalinda was going over the back of the tree demon, trying to distract it from the snakes within it. She managed to scramble herself onto its head, and snickers to herself as she puts her hands on her hips. So far, this thing was being rather slow for her. It wasn’t too much fun to mess around with. “Ey! Wake up sleepy head!” She cries out as she raised her hand up and balled it into a fist. She then brought it down and smashed it into his head rather hard, chuckling to herself as she felt it rumble in pain. Or was it hunger? She wasn’t going to find out as she quickly moved once more.

As she was messing around with her tree demon, she felt the ground shake as Amalie had taken down the other two demons. “Woo! Awesome! Keep it up, Amalie!” She couldn’t help but call out to her with a grin on her face. As she was cheering her though, the slayer had gotten smacked from behind by another tree demon. The smack was enough to make her face plant on the demon's head, and start to slide down a bit. Ada had managed to grab hold of some the hanging moss off of its face and starts to grin. She lets out a rather excited howl as she kicked her legs, starting to swing as she hung on the moss. Maybe she could do some damage like this. She felt her snakes getting closer to the legs, and snickers as she kicks her legs more. The demons weren’t able to keep up with her as she was swinging too much. Actually, with how she was swinging, the second demon managed to swing its arm at the face of the one she was on. Adalinda let out a rather excited laugh as she jumped off of it to scale the arm of the second one. She was letting out an excited cackle as she ran up the arm rather happily. The first tree demon was trying to step forward towards the second, but as it set its foot down, it begun to shake. A rather devilish grin was on Ada’s face. She managed to snap the insides of the legs just right by having her iron snakes coil tightly together around the joints, like she planned. With the first one shaking and trying to balance itself, the second was trying to walk away to avoid being hit. “I~ don’t think so~!” Ada sung out. It wasn’t too great of singing, but she also didn’t care. She had ran towards the other side and grabs hold of a moss on its head. She jumps off of the side of its head before she went in to punch the side of its face. The punch managed to direct the tree demon the other way.

Despite her moaning and groaning of hating plants, Adalinda was enjoying being able to beat these things up and killing them. These plants were trying to harm, they had no feelings, well maybe hunger… but not feelings of compassion or anything good. She could use that for why she didn’t care about hurting these ‘plants’ if someone was going to complain to her about destroying them. Not including that they were in an infected area. The tree demons were tumbling down together as Adalinda’s snakes were making their way up the body once again to start severing more joints on the inside. Ada had let up a groan as she had gotten herself caught in a tangle of leaves as the two fell to the forests floor. She holds her head and takes a deep breath. “Ouch…” She mumbles as she twists her body, punching the tree to get the bark away from her foot. It didn’t take her long to get her foot free, kicking herself from the tree and slowly getting to her feet. With one of the plants unable to walk properly, as well as them both laying on the ground, Adalinda chuckles. “Now it should be easier to work with you guys.” She cracks her knuckles as she runs towards the second tree demon that was on its back. She grabbed some moss that hung by its head, and quickly jumps up onto its chest before she launches herself to the other side, twisting the head rather violently to the other side. She did struggle a bit with yanking the head, but she managed to get it, that’s all she cared about.

That second tree demon now… The snakes were making their way up its body, going to the leg joints at the hip, snapping those, and going up to the arms from there. She runs over to the other one, and grab some more hanging moss again. “While it was fun to swing on you like some jungle person, time for you to go bye bye.” She growls as she yanks it the other direction. Two limp tree demons, and Adalinda was shivering as she honestly wasn’t taking a liking to having touched them now that they were defeated. “Hate plants…” She mumbles to herself as She noticed Kyran had taken down one of his own with his demon dog. “Next ones of these tree things, lets all yank them to the ground or something… Get ourselves a massive exploding lacrima… bah…” She growls as she looks over to where Kyran had gone, making her way over to there on foot.

While Adalinda had been fighting the tree demons, Tammy had zipped off to fight some of the vine chargers. As she got over to them, Kyran was working on his own charger, and Tammy takes out the blade to Ihai Agneya Talizar. The exceed takes a deep breath as she closes her eyes for a moment. She quite liked using the sword, and it could come in handy when in flight. Like right now. Tamaria holds the sword up and quickly charges towards one of the swamp vine things, aiming the blade towards the chest. She slams herself into the chest, and grins as she presses a button on the hilt of the sword, and suddenly it was lit aflame. The vine charger let out a shriek as Tammy flew up and over the vine charger, yanking the sword with her through the bone before flying in a circle around it to attempt to cut it in half diagonally. The charger was trying to heal itself up again, breaking the diagonal she created. The exceed clearly wasn’t happy and quickly threw the sword at its neck, letting the flames burn through the moss and lighting it up more on fire before the head was lopped off by it. “Thank you Ada… I don’t know where I’d be without your beautiful sword.” The cat says as she starts to fly over to a small portion of the forestry area not too far from the swamp that seemed like it was just a hill. She could have sworn there was another of those ones… she landed on the ground, tapping her chin while still holding Talizar. The fire on the blade out temporarily. As she was thinking, something was starting to come up from behind her, and Ada was coming from her left. Adalinda spotted the vine creature coming up on Tammy, and quickly sprints. “Tammy!” She shouts as she uses a rock to launch herself after her companion, wrapping her arms around her as she rolled into a ball, her back taking a hit from the claws of the creature before she kicked her foot out and knocked it away. Ada still had her scales on, so this was nothing to her, or at least it was less damaging to her… Slowly, she uncurled from her companion, and smiles. “You good?” “Yeah.” “Go kick its ass.” She chuckles as Tammy snickers and turns the fire on the blade, right back on before she uses her wings to throw herself right at the charger again.

The dragon slayer stands up as she watches Tammy shove the sword into her current enemies chest, and makes a motion like she was wiping way an imaginary tear away. “Oh, she grows up so fast.” She chuckles to herself. ‘Yeah, you’re just happy she’s the one dealing with the thing, not you.’ Veles snorts at her. Ada can’t help but snort as well. She wasn’t denying that at all. She was about to take a step when suddenly the ground began to shake again. She stops and looks to Tammy, who just burnt the second vine charger to a crisp with the blade after being hit by one of its claws. Of course Tammy wasn’t too happy her outfit was ruined… she liked her little uniform she wore… She’d have to deal though… this wasn’t over yet. Tammy didn’t feel the ground shaking since she was fluttering in the air, but she looked over to Ada as she seemed to be vibrating, and quickly flew up a bit to see what was around them. She didn’t see anything? Ada suddenly let out a rather girly shriek as the ground moved under her feet. The little hill that Tammy had been on, wasn’t a hill. It was another tree demon that apparently had been sleeping.

Adalinda was about to jump off when she stepped just right on a spot and her foot sunk into the wood of the creature, making her fall flat on her face. Not so graceful of her as she was about to kick her foot out, the ground shifted from horizontal, to vertical, and she was now dangling at an awkward angle. Her foot was stuck in the arm of the creature. “Just my luck!” She cries out as the thing was slowly getting to its full fifty meter height. She wanted to kick herself out of the creature, but she didn’t think the fall would be too great. She turned slightly, and noticed that a second hill was moving to do the same now. “Fuuuuuuck man!” She shouts in a rather annoyed voice. Tammy comes flying up to Ada, and grabs her arms, attempting to yank her out of the tree demon, but Ada shakes her head. “Nope! My foot is twisted in there and stuck pretty good… Thought third time's the charm, not second?!” She hisses. She tried to spy Amalie and Kyran from where she was at now. “Hey! You two! Do me a huge favor and make sure this freaking tree doesn't crush me, m’kay?” She was literally hanging upside down from the arm of this tree demon, feeling the blood rush to her head. ‘Some leader you are… getting stuck and all…’ Veles chastised her. Ada hisses as she glances towards the tree that didn’t notice her on him.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 17th April 2019, 9:37 am

Amalie nodded at Adalinda's comment about her senses, wondering what that must be like to have such keen senses. Although she doubted they would have known any different if one had always been a slayer, therefore it was probably only noticeable if the senses gained were new. It would surely have its benefits in battle, and it would definitely decrease the likelihood of being snuck up on by an enemy, being able to smell or hear them before they even got close. Especially if the enemy was able to hide their magical signature. But much like with any benefit, it likely came with its downsides. As Amalie had observed, foul stenches like the one released by the plant had been somewhat overwhelming for the Dragon Slayer. It was an interesting fact to note. Adalinda would reciprocate Amalie's comments on the task, confirming her understanding of what would be classed as a success for the teams. It seemed the group had come to a mutual understanding, that at least was good. They could move on.

When Kyran challenged her, Amalie's eyebrow rose slightly, she smirked in response. Her eyes were glinting dangerously at the excitement of such a challenge. "Oh my, such a confident man you are. But I assure you, I'll have no trouble keeping up. In fact, you'll be lucky if I don't leave you breathless in my wake." She teased, she could feel her excitement for the fight ahead growing. This was certainly amping her up for a good fight. Although he appeared serious, it seemed Kyran managed to hold his resolve for only a moment before bursting into laughter. Amalie nodded as he thanked her, it hadn't been her intention to cheer him up, but if his morale was improving than hopefully he could focus on the fight more. She said nothing to his comment about the recent events of his life. She wasn't good at expressing empathy and felt it was better not to remark on something she did not have experience with. She had only lost someone once, and that had been much more of a relief than a loss. The redhead seemed to move away from the group as he travelled, meanwhile, Amalie had remained a reasonable distance from Adalinda up until the fighting commenced.  She was no longer paying attention to him, which was why she didn't notice when he moved too far from the group. It was only when Adalinda mentioned kicking his ass when Amalie noticed he was even gone. "How disappointing, I was hoping to see if there was stock in his challenge." She commented blankly, she didn't especially care, but she had hoped to witness some more exciting feats of magic and fighting. She wondered if his words of confidence had been false, and following his talk about losing someone dear to him, he had lost his resolve.

It seemed they didn't have time to dwell on the disappearance of their teammate, having run into the monsters at hand. Amalie quickly zoned in on her targets, no longer paying attention to anything but the fight at hand. It hadn't been easy; the trees actually took a little work to take down. She heard the howl and glanced over, witnessing the red-heads return. She felt a sense of magic wash over her, she froze cautiously, although quickly realised that its purpose was to reinforce their speed. She smirked watching as he made quick work of some of the monsters at hand. She heard Adalinda comment and nodded. She certainly intended to 'keep it up' and more some. Although it seemed like she didn't have much to 'keep it up' with, her teammates were working hard to fell the beast. Amalie hovered through the swamp, keeping an eye out for anything that may become free. This was also good timing. It seemed; she could feel that some of her mana was beginning to replenish itself. That at least was a benefit to this small break, it wouldn't be much, but even the smallest amount would help her last a little longer. She was also glad that Anima, for the most part, was staying out of the way. Despite his earlier assistance, she had found that sometimes, when he was too present she found herself overcome with nausea and sickness. It was something she still had yet to take care of. It had of course been quite the risk coming out her and facing such monsters with the possibility that he could overwhelm her. But she hadn't been about to say no.

Although her membership in the West Fiore Trading Company had certainly beneficial, she had made plenty of money and gotten undoubtedly stronger for the work she had put in. However, that only aided two of the three goals she maintained. She wanted to become renowned for her strengths and capabilities. But for the most part, the effect her work had on the guild had been minimal. Aside from the rescuing of those children with the green-haired girl, and the slaughtering some werewolves that had been attacking villagers and campers. She wasn't doing enough to be recognised for her work, and although she wasn't quite ready to be famous. She did want to be acknowledged. She was pulled from her thoughts by Adalinda's cry, looking over sharply. She witnessed as the dark-haired woman dangled from the tree demon at an awkward angle. Her exceed attempted to pull her out, but it didn't seem to work. The team leader called to them, ordering them to help — Amalie, who didn't really have anything else to do. Flew over to the woman, she eyed the second tree demon, moving toward them.

"You take out that one before he realises she's hanging from his friend here." She told the red-head, before returning her gaze to Adalinda.  Several shards of glass hovering by her, she waved them through the air towards the wood around Adalinda's trapped leg, cutting away carefully all the while leaving alone some of the wood closer around Adalinda's foot, not wanting to accidentally cut the Dragon Slayer. In the meantime air bubbles began to surround Adalinda, immersing her. "When my glass cuts through the wood, you'll fall, try not to panic. My globe will surround you completely and keep you afloat enough to land you safely on the ground, but if you flail around you risk popping it and freefalling. Following which I may not be able to catch you depending on the circumstance." She told the woman, before turning to the wood demon that Adalinda was actually trapped in. "I'll distract the big fella here until you get cut free."  The woman darted away, leaving her shards to work away at the tree's arms. She floated over to the creature, appearing a few short metres from its face. Appearing so suddenly that the Tree Demon took a good minute before it realising there was suddenly this tiny human floating around in front of it. She reached from the sword at the hip, pulling Celeste from her hilt. She pulled back the rapier, before slashing it across the creature's face. The monsters face contorted in what Amalie could only assume was anger. Although who could really tell with a monster like this. The creature reached up with his Adalinda-free arm, taking a swipe at the woman. Amalie darted back, raising her palm, She released a ball of fire that caught the monster in the face. The tree demon groaned as the moss around its face was seared away from the heat. The magic fire quickly proceeded to scorch the wood, but it wasn't enough to kill the creature. She manoeuvred through the air, flying around to keep the creature's gaze locked on her. She moved back a little causing the monster to slowly tread after her. She could feel her shards still working away. Chipping through the wood bit by bit, Amalie was trying to keep the monster distracted from the magical glass cutting away at its arm by slashing away with Celeste. She flew forward, stabbing the sword deep into the creature's shoulder. She used this as a steading point for herself.

"Ready Adalinda?" She called out, regardless of whether the woman was ready, the last of the remaining wood around the foot would be sliced through, relinquishing the hold the demon intentionally had on her. Amalie took the moment to focus on the air bubble, attempting to carry the woman to the ground safely. Although it wasn't easy, with the tree demon attempting to swat away at her. Amalie yanked back, pulling the sword from his body. She sheathed the sword once more, flying around the demon. She created more electrical whips from her palms, lashing out, they would wrap themselves around the creature's throat. Amalie landed on the shoulder of the creature, pulling the electrical ropes as tightly as she could. The beast would claw at the ropes around its neck, attempting to dislodge them. Amalie glanced towards the sky, which rumbled above her in anticipation. As before, another giant ball of fire descended upon them. Moving toward her and the beast. Amalie waited for the last moment, before letting go of the ropes and leaping off the shoulder of the beast. Freefalling towards the ground, there was a giant boom as the fire slammed into the beast skull, quickly enveloping its entire body. Amalie, who was crashing towards the ground pretty fast, used her flight magic to sweep herself up before she splatted against the ground. Soaring away as the monster began to collapse to the ground. The ground rumbled as the beast fell down dead, Amalie turned to look at it. That had been quite intense, but at the very least, she had managed to free her teammate from the beast. She looked around to see where Adalinda was and to see how she was fairing after that.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 24th April 2019, 9:44 am

Fire, glass and dying howls perpetrated the battlefield. Kyran was easily able to pinpoint Adalinda and Tammy. They looked to be holding their own. He didn't bother looking for Amalie. That mage was clearly strong enough to withstand most anything these things threw at her. The redhead moved around the monster corpse. He wanted to be ready to provide aid if his teammates needed it. A small growl drew his attention. Ahriman had lost his joy at destroying another enemy. The violence was revving him up for another kill. Chuckling softly, the blood mage put a hand on the demon's side. "Calm Ahriman. There are plenty of enemies for you to fight. There is no need to be anxious."

Kyran's words became a self fulfilling prophecy. Adalinda managed to get her foot caught inside a tree creature. He put the back of a hand over his face in exasperation - weapons didn't allow a proper face palm. The hell had she been doing that got her foot caught? The blood mage started his journey to her. Amalie was closer however. She directed him toward the final tree thing. An easy enough task to take care of. "Ahriman?" The demon wolf swung his head toward Kyran. His tongue lolled out of his mouth. He knew what was coming. "Bring it down."

The demon threw his head back, howling triumphantly. His body split into six copies. With his speed boost from earlier, the wolves became red streaks streaming toward the tree thing. Kyran took his time approaching. He wanted to study this one. It looked different from the others. Power almost exuded from its bark. The number of limbs was much greater than those that had already fallen. It had six legs, walking like a crab rather than a human. There were four arms too. That could prove problematic. The eyes glowed red instead of green.

As before the tree thing resisted Ahriman's pack. The demon shed red light as he got even bigger. The demon smiled in delight. Kyran could see the glint off Ahriman's teeth. Those things were nearly as big as his thigh now. Bloodlust radiated off the canine form. Time for Kyran to step in. With the power boost and lack of enemies, Ahriman wouldn't hesitate to turn on Adalinda or Amalie. His sealing spell might not hold the idiot now either. Better to not let the demon in on that little tidbit though. I'll be sure to tell him when he returns. Medea purred, licking her paw. She enjoyed the potential failure of his spells. It meant she had a challenge whenever he next summoned her.

Kyran twirled his weapons as he ran forward. "Ahriman, move!" He shouted. The wolf reluctantly moved away from the enemy. Kyran's eyes widened. The tree hadn't stood still. It had been on the verge of attacking. Now Kyran was directly in the path of its blow. "Gah!" He spat blood as the branch hit him. It knocked the blood mage off his feet. He tumbled for a fair distance before coming to a stop. "Note to self: its smart." Kyran groaned as he lifted himself from the hole he'd made. The tree was creaking rapidly. Laughter? Perhaps.

The blood mage leveled his sword at the creature. A fireball erupted from the end. The tree's laughter changed to screams. It didn't like blasts of fire very much. Kyran came in close on the heels of the fireball. He didn't want to give the creature a chance to recover. The blood mage became a whirlwind of blades. With the creature moving as slow as it did, Kyran might as well have been nigh untouchable. Every time it tried to attack he was somewhere else. It became weaker and weaker with every strike. When it could barely stand, Kyran turned away. "Go."

The dragon resting upon his shoulders snarled. It leapt into the air. Kyran didn't turn to watch the dragon consume the tree. The ichor was flicked off his blades instead. That battle was done. By the looks of things, Amalie had rescued Adalinda and destroyed the other tree thing. The area was clear, for now. Kyran strode up to his companions. "Nice work, Amalie. As expected of you." He said once he was close. "Does anyone need healing?" Kyran looked them over. There was evidence of the battle but he couldn't tell if there were any severe wounds. He'd never really taken the time to be a surgeon or a doctor. It felt like one of the few things he didn't have at least a basic knowledge of.

Depending on their answers, Kyran prepared to summon one of his healing monsters. Regardless, Kyran looked around the arena. "It seems we have cleared another area of monsters." He murmured, eyes lingering on the mutant tree corpse. There wasn't much left after the dragon ate it. A few limbs and a chunk of the torso. "Do we continue on then, Adalinda?" The blood mage turned to look at the leader of this party. "Or do we need to rest?" He wasn't tired but Ada wasn't at ease with all these plant monsters. She might want a break before fighting the next batch. The redhead was attempting to be nice by giving her an out should she need it.
