    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

As the two were seeming like they were making a challenge, Ada just sighed as she shook her head. She would of loved to join in on that challenge, but not this time. Had to be a slight leader at least. Near the forest and swampy areas Ada looked back to Amalie as she spoke. Her words, and her voice didn’t seem to match, and she simply snickered. She honestly wondered if Kyran had been serious about the challenge he had proposed earlier or not. She would have to challenge him later, if anything, just for kicks. When the two girls had gone to fight off the trees, Ada smelt Kyran, and snickers as she felt herself speeding up too. That definitely had helped the dragon slayer in her beatings she was giving the tree demons. And made her start having a bit of an ego that she took a couple of them down herself. After she had helped Tammy not be attacked by a vine charger, and managed to get herself trapped in the tree demon while it stood up, Ada sighs as she just let her arms hang above her head.

She sees her team coming to help her, and sighs as she felt terrible. ‘This is what you get for trying to show off, child.’ ‘I wasn’t! I was protecting Tammy, damnit!’ She hissed towards her dragon in her head, who was laughing at how easily he was able to get under her skin. She looks to Amalie as she orders Kyran to get after the other tree demon, and smiles to her while giving her an upside down thumbs up. “Great! Doing good so far! All according to the plan.” She chuckles at her bluff. Of course, she already said she had no plan, so she was just trying to not let her pride get the best of her for what was probably the most graceful moves she had made in her entire life. Perfect timing too probably. As she sees the glass, her face goes stern as they go to the wood around her. Her scales were still on her, and she knew she wouldn’t be harmed too much. “Don’t be afraid to hit me with the glass. I’m not a fragile flower.” She smirks to the blue haired girl. She gives an upside down shrug as she was told what to do with the bubbles, though, she was glad she wasn’t going to be falling to the ground, even though Tammy would have probably caught her. As Amalie said she’d go distract the demon, Adalinda chuckles a bit. “Go have fun with the ‘big fella’ for me." She waved her hands lightly as she was rather bored upside down. Could she attempt to help? She did have another sword spell… but it probably wouldn’t help with Amalie’s glass already there, that and she probably would end up chopping her leg off too.

She looks over to Kyran the best she could from where she hung, and saw the wolf demon looking like it, and it’s six clones, were zipping about. A snicker came to her as she found that rather amusing. Was that how she had looked when she ran after getting the speed buff? Probably not, but the thought of a greyish silver line zipping by, sounded like a great thought. The tree demon though, that wasn’t too amusing. It seemed to have a more limbs than the other ones they had fought, wondering how the hell that was even possible. It still was as tall and looked vaguely similar to it’s brethren though, so she knew it would be similar to it regardless. She only hoped Kyran wouldn’t have too much trouble. Looking back towards Amalie, Ada watched her go around the tree’s face. A snicker was coming off of her lips as she watched the tree take a bit to realize things were happening in front of his face. Wow, it wasn’t too smart now, was it? As the tree was finally attacked, Adalinda felt herself jolted a bit from it moving, thankful that she wasn’t being used to swipe at Amalie as she watched it’s other arm raise up. She heard Kyran and quickly looked back to see him flying after she heard him telling Ahriman to move. She let up a groan and shakes her head. “Good grief…” She simply mutters as she just shook her head now.

Amalie’s voice got her attention now, and a grin was on her face. “Feel free to take your time chopping me out of this stupid enchanted tree. I’m having a swell time hanging out here!” She laughs before she started to fall a bit. Tammy had been watching as Ada was being carried down by the air bubble a bit. She saw that Amalie was being slightly distracted by the tree demon and instantly went to fly around her slayer, making sure she wouldn’t fall. Ada’s blue eyes went to Tammy, smirking to her as she moved to jump away from the air bubble towards her exceed. “Adalinda!” The exceed cries out as she didn’t expect to be jumped at. She managed to catch her slayer nonetheless though, and flew her down to the ground with ease. The two looked at the tree demon that crashed to the ground, and Ada just takes a deep breath. One down. She looks over to the other one as a dragon was devouring the second tree demon Kyran had been fighting? She didn’t notice the dragon thing before.

Taking a deep breath, Ada leans her head back when she sat herself on a fallen log, making sure that it wasn’t going to come to life first. “Jeez… I’m ready to go home…” She closes her eyes as she was taking her own breather. Tammy had spotted the iron Ada was munching on before, finding it on the ground since the rumbling had knocked it away from her, and quickly zipped to get it before going back to her and offering the iron again. She takes it back, and takes a bit out of it after she opened her eyes and looks towards the other two, smirking to Kyran as he asked if anyone needed some healing. She herself shook her head. “I’m good for a good few more rounds.” She chuckles to him and glances to Amalie. Tammy raised her paw a bit. “I’ll need some.” She confesses. Ada didn’t blame her exceed, she was a small thing compared to her. She probably took a decent hit when she had fought that last vine charger… She sat there for a bit, just staying quiet as she listened to Kyran ask her what they were going to do from there while Tammy got healed. She snorts after a moment of silence. Like hell was she going to rest, not yet. “I just took my rest. If you two are good. I’m good to go.” She takes another bite of the iron before she makes her way to her feet. She looks around the area, and motions for Tammy to stay close. The cat goes over to rest herself on the slayers shoulders, seeming like a little backpack kind of.

What exactly were they to do? Were they almost done? Would they even get done? It did seem as though the numbers of creatures had died down though… ‘Best to probably not think it’s almost clear…’ Veles warns while Ada slightly nods. When everyone was healed, or ready to go again, Ada starts walking again after she realized she had left her two iron snakes in the one tree, calling them forth and wearing them on her arms like a pair of over-sized sleeves. She started to use her nose to sniff out some potential enemies while the group traveled. She wasn’t having Tamaria go on ahead for the time being though, not so soon after she had been healed at least. “I think for a little bit, we get a break…” She tells them as she wasn’t smelling anything, or hearing any creatures around them. It felt eerie as she didn’t like not hearing anything either. She had stiffened as she kept her guard up. She focused the whole time she was walking, slightly ignoring Amalie and Kyran so she could make sure she wasn’t missing anything that was going on. A crack of a twig. The scent of death. Anything. There wasn’t much of a sound though as they walked. That was, till Ada caught  whiff of death again. “Get ready guys… our death stench friends are somewhere nearby…” She comments as she covers her nose again. Tammy lets go of Ada’s shoulders, causing the slayer to stop as the purple exceed shoots for the sky.

The look on her face while she was up there, made Ada pause. “What…?” She asks worriedly as Tammy came down slowly. “I think we found a nest maybe? Or just a mass of them in general.” The exceed glances away from Adalinda. She didn’t need to see how pale her slayers face got from hearing that. If she was in her neko form, she’d be just as pale probably. “There’s a little town or abandoned community up ahead… and the death things are at the far end of it… along with some little vipers… Roses… hunters… and the chargers… Only thing not there is the tree demons…” She looks to the other two now, wondering what they would say to this news. Ada was clearly not thrilled, closing her eyes. She had put her hands on her hips, and hung her head. She wanted to punch something. Vacation. Vacation was what she was most definitely going on… she needed it. Ruvel, nor anyone else, could tell her no. A secluded island with all the alcohol she could handle… dreams. ‘Get this over with, and you can go on your ‘vacation’ you nit.’ The dragon's voice made her lift her head up as she looked to the other two again. “So. I’m ready to go home. Really ready. But, I guess we have some more plants to burn.” She says as she sighs. Her eyes glance towards the direction of the town, and she throws her hands towards the ground, making her iron snakes jump off of her arms and dig themselves into the ground. “Time to go and cook some shit up.” She grumbles while making her way to the smells. She hoped this would end quickly.

Adalinda barely made it to the rundown entrance of wherever, as the words on the sign were beyond recognition, when a bunch of the vipers finally showed themselves. She snickers as she half jogs up to one of the vipers, and kicks it. She punted the thing into a tree, feeling pretty good about knocking the thing away. She repeated it a couple more times before Tammy came in and knocked one with the scabbard of Talizar. “Most of them are in the town… But those hunters probably noticed us already…” She confesses to Ada, but was loud enough for the other two to hear too.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) - Page 2 Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 1st May 2019, 3:56 pm

Following her decision to rescue Adalinda from the tree demon, Amalie was satisfied to see that Kyran did not argue over who got to save the woman but instead quickly set off after the second tree demon. She had no desire to 'play the hero' in any way, she was just trying to get the job done as swiftly and efficiently as possible, all the while keeping their team leader intact. As she had approached Adalinda and explained her plan to her, she couldn't help by smirk at the woman's comments. The female Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company certainly had her own level of 'spunk' about her. Not only trying to find amusement in the situation but showing no concern about Amalie's shards of glass. And so, as Ada had encouraged, she certainly did go after the 'big fella' for her, doing what she could to take him down all the while freeing the girl. As she confirmed with Adalinda as to whether she was ready, she heard her remark and grinned. "As long as you're having fun!" She retorted, wholly amused by the woman's reaction to the situation.

After bringing the Tree Demon crashing to the ground, Amalie would eye it for a moment, before turning to the others. She glanced over Adalinda, she didn't ask her about her wellbeing, but the woman's ice blue eyes would conciously check her over for any major wounds. Kyran had managed to take down his demon too without much issue, Amalie would nod at his comment, then hearing his question about healing, she commented. "I'm good, thanks." She hadn't actually retained any injuries thus far, which was fairly surprising considering the brutality of the fights she had engaged with. She had always been a fighter, but that had been hand-to-hand combat. It had taken the Articulation Mage some time to get caught up when fighting with magic. These fights so happened to help her assess her skillsets, and areas in which she could improve.

When Adalinda asked if they were good to go, Amalie would nod. She was definitely ready to continue, the adrenaline was still pumping through her. The anticipation for the next fight only growing, she wondered how much she would be able to take on before they became a real grind. Adalinda seemed to suspect that they would be getting a little break as they walked, although this prediction quickly fell short of true as she froze. Concentrating for a moment, only to announce that more of their 'death stench friends' were nearby. Amalie prepared a few fresh orbs for them to use. Commanding one of them to form around her head. Tammy would shoot upwards to scout the region once more, Amalie waited keenly for the result. As the exceed returned and began to explain what she could see, Amalie's eyes lit up. At the mention of the word 'nest', she shot Kyran a devilish grin. It had been him after all that had initially mentioned hoping a nest, he had put it out there and the universe had delivered. The Exceed continued to explain that there was some sort of town or abandoned community not far from them, filled with quite the list of monsters. Reeling them off one by one, Amalie could feel her excitement growing, now this was going to be a fight.

Amalie would follow quickly after Adalinda, her shards began to appear her as they walked. Like a swarm of bees, growing greater and greater in mass. Practically humming with eagerness, as they reflected their caster's desire to fight. As they reached the town, Amalie would see Adalinda throw herself into the fray and follow suit. She kicked off the ground, taking flight once more. The Articulation mage would dart forward, twirling through the air. The glass flying along her body in a streamlined fashion. She swooped up, coming to a stop, she would throw her arm out, pointing her sword-wielding arm towards a group of Grass Vipers. Her shards would burst forth towards them, slicing three of them to shreds in a matter of moments. She would glance around, she spotted one of those rotting plants. She swooped down towards it, landing in front of it. She raised her palm towards it, releasing a burst of fire towards it. The flames quickly engulfed the stinking creature. Reducing it to a pile of ash, Amalie turned away swiftly, ready for the next target. As she spun, she spotted a collection of creature making they way towards her; one of those rose creatures, a tree hunter thing and bone chargers. Huh this many at once... She smirked to herself, running her tongue over her teeth in anticipation.

The hunter was closest, so Amalie went for that first. Moving upwards towards the tree monster, she used its arm to swing herself under the creature. Thrusting her rapier up into its belly, before releasing a burst of magical energy from the sword. Tearing a hole into the stomach of the beast. She pulled the sword back, and place her palm over the hole. A horde of shards materialized in front of her fingers and poured themselves into the wound. Burying themselves inside the belly of the beast. It would hack away at the wood inside. Amalie swooped back around the creature, sitting herself casually down on it's back. She crossed one leg of the other, resting there for a moment as her glass did its work. Within moments, the hunter would begin to crumble to the ground. Falling to the ground with a crash, Amalie still sat quite comfortably on it's back. She scooted herself up off of the now dead creature and strode along, what was next again? Oh yes, the Rose and the Charger.

As Amalie turned to look upon the Rose, it's body was surrounded in a cloud of gas. Amalie spoke quickly, casting her next spell. "Harden." Her skin would quickly transform, hardening and becoming clear. Sparkling like a diamond all of a sudden, she shot backwards away from the rose. But not fast enough as they were a spark, followed by a giant explosion. The air erupted in flames, and Amalie was blasted back several metres. She rolled for a moment, before skidding to a halt, her heels pressed deep into the earth from the force of the blow. She took a moment to collect herself, thanks to her diamond skin, she was okay. The added layer of protection meaning that she wasn't actually harmed. Although she glanced down at her newly charred uniform, patting lightly at it to put out any remaining embers. She wasn't going to need to request a new one after this, even her handiwork with a needle couldn't repair burnt clothes. She tutted in slight irritation. Before glanced up at the Rose, eyes narrowed slightly. She glared at it for a moment, almost appearing to do nothing. The creature seemed to take them as a sign to attack and began scuttling towards her. Perhaps it was the fact it had landed a hit, but the beast pay little attention to anything but her, keen on the concept of killing her off. Had it paid more attention, it might have noticed that the sky rumbled slightly, and from the clouds, a single giant fireball came bursting out. Soaring towards the creature, slamming into the beast. It screeched loudly as it erupted into magical fire. Amalie smirked in satisfaction. "That's for my uniform." She quipped.

They were the pounding of footsteps and a snarl moving in from her right. Amalie twisted towards the last opponent, the remaining member of the group. Amalie bit her cheek thoughtfully as it ran towards her, she remembered that this beast was weak to fire. But she'd just used those spells on two of her prior opponents. She would need a moment before she could use them again, by which point the beast would likely be open her. She quickly came to the conclusion that she would need to use a different strategy for this Charger. She flexed her fingers and more glass would appear. Shooting forward towards the beast, it would swarm it, slowing it's approach. Amalie stretched both her palms once more, summoning another set of electrically infused whips. She stalked towards the creature as it swatted at the glass angrily, she threw the whip in her right hand, lassoing it around the creature's waist and left arm. She then followed suit with the left, this times the whips multiple tails wrapped around the right arm and throat. Holding the beast in place as it shocked it with its electrical currents. An air bubble would begin to form above the creature, slowly lowering over the skull of the beast. Unlike the air bubbles she had made for herself and the others, this one would act differently. The air inside the air bubble would grow toxic. Poisoning the creatures, robbing it of oxygen and replacing it with a lethal miasma that would soon render the creature lifeless.

As the creature fell to its knees, it's struggled against her whips. Trying hard to pull away, it's movements would become erratic, almost desperate. Then after a moment, the monster's attempts would begin to grow more feeble. The magic doing it's job and draining the creature of life. It would fall down dead, collapsing to the ground with a loud thud. Amalie cocked her head at it, retracting her whips, glass and globe spell. She turned to see how the others were fairing. That had been quite a horde, and she had enjoyed it. Even getting blast by that one rose, thanks to her magic she had been able to take it without consequence and it only spurred her on for more.

It was just a shame that there wasn't anything stronger to fight.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) - Page 2 Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 2nd May 2019, 12:15 pm

Kyran nodded when both of his companions passed on a healing. It looked like he was the only one that had really taken a hit anyways. If they ever needed some healing, he'd be quick to offer his help again. Salvator Alitis had broadened the range of what he could do. Ahriman padded up next to him. It seemed that the demon got filthier every time they went into battle. The blood mage made a face. Next time he called out the demon, he'd be sure to order the beast to keep clean. It was a certainty that Ahriman kept rolling around in the corpses he'd slain.

The redhead returned Amalie's devilish grin at the news of a nest. Finally. He wouldn't mind letting loose in that place. Some of his spells were nearly finished. He could feel the end of their duration lurking about. The faster they got through the nest, the better it would be. Getting mana dep out here wouldn't be fun. There was a need to invest in some mana expansion items or mana potions. He was finding that his store of mana was running on empty more and more these days. It was something that could get him killed if he wasn't careful.

Kyran let the ladies go first into the nest. Not out of chivalry really but a desire to observe Amalie's magic in action. He'd seen glimpses of it without really comprehending what he was seeing. It was quite the vision to behold. Amalie didn't waste any movement or breath as she fought. The sight of her glass swarm made the blood mage glance at his spear. Could his Blood Morph copy such a technique? Probably though he had doubts it would be as powerful. It would be merely a blood red shade of her technique. Tired of watching, the redhead finally threw himself forward. He ignored the bubble of fresh air Amalie had sent his way. There was an intrinsic feeling that it wouldn't be able to keep up with him.

"Ahriman, take the swamp thing" Kyran ordered pointing his spear at the Charger. The wolf shivered, once again becoming six versions of himself. Each howled triumphantly as they rushed to attack. A dragon crawled from his sword, settling upon his shoulders. Kyran watched Ahriman for a second, letting the absolute speed his body was capable of vibrate in his cells. When the redhead moved, there was an explosion of sound and wind behind him.

Kyran decided to take care of the weakest enemies first. The vipers were more an annoyance than anything. It was better to get the last of them out of the way. His sword and spear made quick work of the things. Heads separated from their bodies. Pieces of the creatures littered the ground around him in seconds. He paused long enough to throw Adalinda a wink. "There, there no need to fear, Ms. Adalinda" He teased before rushing away. The wind picked up the moment he moved.

His next target was the weird rose creatures. From earlier fights and Amalie's handy dispatching of one, Kyran knew they were susceptible to fire. The first one screeched as Kyran appeared before it. It was too easy a target. A cruel smile spread across Kyran's face. He shoved his sword into the gaping mouth. "Eat fire" The fireball blossomed on the tip of his sword. The creature had little choice but to swallow it. It abruptly turned to ash, the fireball consuming it. The creature's ally had barely had time to turn toward Kyran. "You're too slow" He retorted, blurring as he stepped up to it. He felt powerful, slicing the creature apart. Stab with the spear, slice off a leg with a sword. Step away from the clumsy counter strike and drive both weapons into its side. The thing struggled weakly as it fell on its side. Kyran finished it off with a backstroke of his sword.

That left one creature. Ahriman trotted over to Kyran, his tail wagging. The charger was torn asunder behind him. Kyran stuck his spear in the ground to pat the demon's head. "Not really the challenge we were hoping for is it, boy? They're falling apart before us." Kyran stated, turning to look at Amalie. He smiled at the other mage. "Working hard or hardly working, Amalie? I feel like I'm taking care of everything." He called out. Medea purred at the challenge in his voice. The blood mage felt there was a bit of his old self returning. It wouldn't last. The grief would over take him again. For now, however, he'd revel in the feeling.

A bit of creaking caught Kyran's attention. There were a few monsters that he'd missed. Two spider plant things were hidden in the shadows of a dilapidated building. "Ahriman, if you would." Kyran gestured to the things. Gauntlets made of red and white vines snapped into existence over his hands. "I'll deal with the big one." Ahriman growled at that. "Don't like. Too weak" "Don't care. Do anyways" Kyran responded. He pointed the hand with his sword at the Flatland Hunter. Ahriman continued to grumble as it trotted away.

"Grave crimes deserve grave punishment!" Vines burst from the ground around the Hunter's 'feet'. They wrapped around its body, tearing furrows where ever they touched. It bellowed struggling against the vines. It was fruitless. The vines soon held it immobile. Kyran drew back his arm. The spear was balanced in his hand. "Its over" Kyran murmured. The spear blurred as the blood mage threw it. The creature let out a dying cry as the spear pierced its body. Tearing the spear out was postponed until the Hunter was entirely limp in the grasp of the vines.

The redhead turned to look at his demon. The creature was dancing around the plants. His lips were drawn back in a snarl. A brutal bite wound marred Ahriman's leg. A smile flickered over Kyran's face. The demon had underestimated his opponents. The blood mage debated using spells to obliterate the plant creatures. It seemed like a waste of mana. They were stationary, unable to move. His spear afforded him the range to poke them to death. The wind picked up once more as Kyran moved.

"You underestimated them." Kyran stated with a bemused expression. Ahriman carefully stepped away from the creatures. The evidence of his teeth was clear on the bark. Yet it didn't look like he'd done too much damage. "Resistance to physical damage then." Kyran murmured to himself. He peered over his shoulder at Amalie and Adalinda. They seemed to have cleared the rest of the area. These things were all that remained of the nest. Time to take care of them.

The spear helped take care of the creatures. Kyran danced around them, using the range of the spear to keep safe. He chuckled in his little dance. This was strangely fun. It didn't take too many pokes to finish off the Rotting Maws. They might have resistance to physical damage but they didn't have hardy constitutions. He stepped away from the corpses. That was the nest taken care of.

"That was a little disappointing, I must admit." He said, walking to his party. "We didn't exert ourselves much to clear it out altogether." Kyran looked around the town. The monster corpses littered the ground. His brow furrowed. "I wonder what happened to this town... How did it turn into a monster nest?" Shaking those thoughts from his head, Kyran leaned against his spear. He looked expectedly toward Adalinda. Where were they heading next?

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

Ada was glad the two worked well together while she was hanging out upside down, each taking a tree demon and taking them down. Of course her pride had taken a hit from her state. She looked around the area a bit while Kyran healed himself and Tammy, trying to calm her nerves. Would there be more plants to fight? More than likely, and she wasn't happy about it. She was just ready for this whole deal to be over with. The dragon slayer noticed how the demon wolf looked when he came over to the group again, and raised an eyebrow to him. "Have fun?" She snorts before she had stood up and said she was good to go. Their walk through the woods was slightly quiet, which was helpful to her. After she said that she smelt the death plants, she immediately put the bubble that Amalie made once again for her. She knew most definitely that she'd be puking her guts out again if she smelt those things once more. "Thanks!" She said before Tammy came back with the news of their enemies. Of course her two companions seemed rather delighted in the news of a horde of creatures, and simply chuckled to herself. At least they were ready to take care of it and do the job. That kind of enthusiasm always welcome for this kind of work.

After she had went and kicked a few of the vipers, her teammates seemed to get even more excited and start tearing down monsters one after another. She was thankful for Amalie being the one to take down one of the rotting maws again, she didn't want to have to deal with them. She heard a loud noise and looked over to Kyran, or more, where she last saw him. Next she new, all the vipers we're gone from around her, and Kyran was 'saving' her from them. She glared at his wink, and shook her head. "I'm calling your girlfriend after this!" She threatens. After Kyran had taken care of the vipers, the next Ada knew was that Amalie took down a hunter, a rose, and a bone creature. She was quite amused by how she took care of them all too. What she was even more amused by though, was the fact that Amalie seemed to have diamond skin after one of her spells. "Nice…" Ada murmurs, but she was quickly distracted as she had noticed another hunter from outside the abandoned town, come running in. "My turn!" She chuckled as she quickly ran after it herself. She could feel her scales starting to weaken on her, and takes a deep breath. "Fuck." She had to work quickly. This hunter had a part of a home on it's back, sturdy and made of clay it seemed. It had spotted her running after it, and started to run after her as well.

As soon as she was close to the four legged creature, she made sure to dodge the house it tried to ram her with. She chuckles as she had made a quick roundabout and was slightly dancing with this quick hunter, till she got close enough and reached her hands out and grabbed a leg as she ran by, yanking it and snapping the wood rather easily. She turns and uses the leg to stab through the wood before she grabbed another leg and yanked it off, throwing the creature off balance. She quickly grabbed one side of it and ripped off a bit of the side. Her scales were about to slip off of her body now. This wasn't good. "Goddamn scales! Good for nothing! Pieces of-" 'I resent that!' Ada had quickly moved and used the legs she tore off to cut the head off of the rest of it. To be extra sure it was dead, she put the two legs together and swung them a bit as if they were a golf club. When she was sure the legs she tore off were fine, she swung them at the head she tore off, and grinned as it smacked into a ruined building. "Four!" Just as she had said that, her grey scales disappeared, and she was once again pale skinned and normal. Tammy was taking care of some little vipers that had come in not too far from the hunter Ada was fighting did.

After she had taken down her hunter, and Tammy had taken care of her vipers, Adalinda had noticed a few more creatures out in the distance running towards the village, and looked over to Kyran as he commented on this town being a disappointment. "I'm not sure what happened to the town… maybe what happened to those two guys from the ball happened to this whole town? Or they all evacuated from it. Either way, look alive. More frie-" Above them, something white soared through the sky, cutting Ada off as she noticed it came from the direction of the other creatures. Her eyes followed the wyvern as it circled around. 'Its rounding up it's food. It seems…' Her eyes shot back towards the horde of creatures that seemed to be scurrying towards them. They seemed to be running out of fear this time, instead of at them to destroy them. "Shit…" She hissed. "Tammy!" "On it!" Ada looked back to the other two while Tammy flew slightly up to check out ahead of them. She was weary of the wyvern though. "Not too many creatures this time! A few of the hunter things with rocks on their backs, a few more of those viney things, and a group of those vipers!"

"Okay! Two options, run, or fight. If you're staying to fight with me, much luck. And be careful of that wyvern!" Ada calls out to Amalie and Kyran. As soon as she finished, as if on cue, the wyvern had flew by them and opened it's maw, letting out a breath of fire between the group. Ada had jumped away, not letting the fire get close, then just looked at it. Everything that the fire had touched, was melted beyond recognition. Not only was this thing fast… but it spit out hot fire. And they had to deal with a few more plants on top of this. Great. 'I think it's my turn now…' Ada felt a pang of pain, letting out a strained cry before her eyes closed. The next moment, her eyes opened and seemed to resemble those of a dragon's eyes. "I think it's time for some fun…" Her voice no longer sounded normal, it was now reverberating and sounded deeper. Tammy instantly knew who that was. "Veles! Don't mess anything up!"

"You're talking to a dragon, Tamaria… I won't mess anything up…" The dragon smirked as he gripped his hands into fists. He glanced over Ada's shoulder to look to the two, how he looked at them was far different than how Ada did. His eyes had a fierce look to them as he was ready to tear more up than Ada did. Probably helped that he personally wasn't afraid of enchanted plants or plants that came alive. "If you two don't mind… I'll at least land the beast. Dyer, that spell you used to speed us up, is it still in effect? I'll keep it off of you two." His eyes went up to the wyvern. It was using it's speed and it's wings to corral the other creatures towards them. A grin formed on the slayers face as he shook his shoulders and let the dragon take over. If he could be fast enough, maybe he could make the wyvern land so they can keep it from firing off another blast of fire, or crushing them with their talons. If he was lucky, maybe even take it out. This creature seemed like he might be sturdier than the rest, even the tree demon that they've encountered before. The dragon that Veles has assumed the form of was rather large- probably not as large as Sol when he changes to one- and was made of iron. Veles shook out his wings, and launched himself into the sky, regardless if Kyran's spell was still active or not.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) - Page 2 Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Amalie 10th May 2019, 8:27 am

As Kyran commented to her she glanced over with a wide grin that sparkled as brightly as her diamond skin. "You would consider this work? Feels more like playtime to me."  She remarked back before continuing on with the fight. There was level of honesty in her word; It didn't really feel like that much of a grind to her. Perhaps it was because she had spent most of her life-fighting due to the 'pits'. It was almost second nature to the woman when one got used to having to survive, it became easy. Plus, she was enjoying herself far too much to really consider this work, the thrill of testing her strength against another being, even disgusting monsters as these. Being able to defeat them with such ease, it was a testament to their strength as mages. There was a small sense of glory to be taken from such wins.

As the fight seemed to end fairly quickly, Amalie approached the others once more. Keeping her diamond skin intact, there was no point wasting the spell now that she'd used it. Also, she had a feeling this wouldn't be the last wave of monsters they would face.  At least, she hoped it wasn't. She nodded in agreement with the redhead, it was pretty disappointing for a nest. "Perhaps it's something to do with the humans that lingered here, the creatures seemed more inclined to attack us humans than to fight each other. Maybe they simply enjoy killing humans, or perhaps human flesh makes for good sustenance, a human village would be the ideal place to lure out more humans to eat or kill." She stated, glancing around, it was quite an assumption but, she was sure if they explored the abandoned homes they'd likely turn up a few human skeletons. Not that she cared to explore; if she on the first team she would have, as that would have been her job. But their team's tasks was solely based on eliminating the enemy, so that's what she would focus on.

Adalinda was stating her views on the matter before she was interrupted by the appearance of a new enemy. Amalie glanced up at it, her ice blue eyes widening slightly at the sight of it. The creature was magnificent, a large white reptilian body, and black underbelly. A wingspan of over fifty feet, and golden claws. Compared to the monsters they had faced so far, it was actually quite majestic and beautiful. Amalie had seen a dragon before, or at least a human turned dragon. But even so, this didn't take away the awe she felt in seeing the beast. Now this is what I've been waiting for. She thought. There was the sound of monsters moving in on them in the distance, that drew the women gaze away from the Wyvern. She eyed the monsters, flexing her fingers with excitement. She wanted to get to that Wyvern, but she needed to help thin this horde first. She laughed at Adalinda's comment.

"Not a chance in hell I'm running now!" She remarked back, it was at that moment the Wyvern flew down, releasing a blast of brilliant blue flames towards them, Amalie kicked off the ground, soaring up into the sky high enough to avoid the attack. She eyed the carnage the flames left in their wake. It was such immense power. She glanced toward Adalinda, hearing her strained cry. As she opened her eyes again, they had changed, appearing like the eyes of a dragon. When she spoke, her voice sounded different, much deeper than before. Tammy called out to her, only referring to her as 'Veles'. Was this some kind of creature that existed inside Adalinda? It was a possibility that Amalie was only mildly surprised by, having learned that she too was the host to some form of being. It turned out this was more common of an attribute than the woman had initially realised. The 'being' referred to themselves as a dragon, from which Amalie could only speculate had something to do with Adalinda's magic itself. They would state that they would attempt to 'land' the dragon. Amalie would nod, "Hogging the fun huh? Fine, I'll do a bit to thin the herd, but once I've had my fill, whether it's landed or not, I'm coming to play."

Amalie didn't wait to see what Veles did next, instead, she turned in the air, moving with great speed towards the horde of monsters that were approaching. She swooped low towards the ground, extended her sword up, she swept through the group of grass vipers. Her blade pointing towards the group, releasing a blast of pure energy. Two of the vipers disintegrated into nothing from the force of it. She didn't pause, continuing on towards a Charger. She turned her sword towards the beast, releasing another blast of energy, which hit the creature directly in the chest. Causing it to stumble back a step. Amalie didn't stop, as she flew closer, the creature swiped at her with its lethal claws. To which she would roll out of the way, swooping under its arm, she would pull her fist back. Punching her fist directly into the point of which her sword's magic had hit. The bone cracked, allowing her fist to pass through. Summoning her fire, Amalie released a burst of flames into the beast. Burning it from the inside out. The creature let out a screech as it's crumbled to the ground. Amalie kicked away from its body, moving around the fallen beast to another target.

The Flatland hunter would be her last target, this was at least a third of the horde, which was her fair share as far as the blue-haired woman was concerned. She swooped under the gap between its legs, spinning in the air to face the creature's back. She would spread her palms, summoning two more electrical whips. She would throw them both back before whipping them forward, lassoing them around the creature's waist. She would rest her feet on the creature's back, pulling the whips tight. They would both release a series of currents through the creature's body. Burning away at the area it gripped, all the while Amalie's shards materialized around her, soaring towards the beast it chopped away at the region the lassoes were gripping onto, weakening the area. Amalie yanked the whips as hard as she could, causing them to tighten even more. The wood and fauna that made up the creature's body began to crumble, giving away after a moment. The whips snapping it completely in half, the top half would sink to the ground with a loud crash, the light fading from the creature's glowing eyes. Amalie moved away from the beast, she would land for a moment, turning towards the others to see, with hopeful eyes if the Wyvern was still alive.

To her relief, it was. Also, it seemed that it was accompanied by another dragon, this beast made entirely of iron, it was quite large too. It only took Amalie a moment to realise that this was Adalinda. Huh, it was an intriguing observation, did all dragon slayers have the ability to turn into dragons? It was a question she would have asked. Was she not more excited about taking on that wyvern."Ready or not, here I come." She remarked playfully, her crystalized features splitting into a grin once more. She couldn't help herself, she was too keen to get involved in taking down the beast. With a burst, she launched herself off the ground towards the Wyvern. Regardless of whether Veles had successfully landed it, Amalie would move her fingers in a flexing motion. Causing her magic to ripple through the air once more, the sky would begin to rumble a little more fiercely. And a ball of fire would descend from the sky, moving towards the Wyvern and hitting it directly in the spine. The beast let out a fierce roar that carried through the air with tremendous ferocity.

Amalie didn't stop however, she continued towards the creature, swerving to avoid its powerful tail. She would carry herself over it's back, pulling out her sword, she brought it up with both hand. With a loud cry, she thrust it down into the beast shoulder. It wasn't easy, the beast's skin was hard to break through. Amalie grit her teeth, pushing the sword down with everything she had into an attempt to bury into deep enough to keep it in place. It certainly wouldn't kill the beast, in fact in terms of damage, the sword would barely make a scratch to such a strong monster. However that wasn't its purpose, Amalie had a different reason for stabbing the creature. Once it was deep enough not to be dislodged by the monsters movement, Amalie would kneel down, gripping on the sword's hilt tightly. Her shards of broken glass would begin to manifest around her. Like a horde of insects, they grew greater and greater in mass. Surrounding the beast they would begin to move around the body of the beast. Slicing away at it relentlessly, all the while they caster rode the beast with the help of her embedded rapier. At this point she would look the others, she knew that the most efficient way to kill this beast was to take it out together. Even if it would be a lot of fun, to face it by herself. Even if this was more play than work for the woman, she had to go about it in the smartest manner. At the end of the day, this was still a job, and they were still her team.

[Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain) - Page 2 Empty Re: [Team 3] The Cleaning Security (Demi, Amalie, Kyran, Rain)

Post by Kyran 10th May 2019, 6:32 pm

Kyran chuckled at Amalie's response. Clearly the woman loved fighting. Small wonder looking at how powerful she was. The little back and forth was a great relief as well. It kept his grief at bay. A little quip here, a tease there, at the moment, Kyran would do anything not to grieve. He did wonder whether Amalie had suffered something in the past. Or been a soldier at some point. The way she fought wasn't anything he'd seen before. Not to mention his own way of fighting seemed entirely unorthodox next to hers. There was much he needed to learn. He rubbed his chest, remembering the crystal that had pushed its way into his heart. There was much to learn about many things.

The comments of his companions on the village sparked some memory in Kyran. The memory of forms floating in strange liquid, slowly crystallizing into something else. "Maybe... maybe they are the villagers." He said quietly. Ahriman chuffed at the statement. The demon liked that. He'd been killing humans potentially this entire time. Kyran lightly cuffed the demon. Whatever the demon wished, he was chained to Kyran. A fate neither one of them really enjoyed.

Kyran happened to be on the edge of the wyvern's attack. The blue flame splattered across his back. It was bad but not life threatening. His spell had managed to mitigate the damage. Ahriman managed to move out of the way in time. The redhead grit his teeth against the pain. Despite his magic having eaten his feelings of violence for the time being, Kyran threw back his head and roared. "Is that all you've got, you great lizard?! Well its not enough to bring me down!" The fire still burned upon the mage as he turned. "Ahriman, reapply your spell then destroy that thing." He gestured to the charger. "I'll handle the rest." The demon rushed to do his master's bidding.

The blood mage spread his arms. What little blood ran down his charred back began to rise. Fire flickered behind Kyran's eyes. As the blood coalesced over his arms, Ahriman's spell washed over him. Speed to get what needed to be done accomplished. The wolf pack Ahriman always created thundered past him. The charger would be torn apart then. Time to deal with the rest. Blood Morphs came into being over his arms. Immediately, Kyran had them transform. Bolts of pure energy tore into the vipers with vicious intent. The creatures didn't stand a chance.

The blood mage turned to see Veles standing there. "So we come face to face once again, dragon." He said amiably. They could count on the dragon to bring down the wyvern. Amalie seemed to be well on her way to dealing with the rest of their opponents. Kyran felt a tightening in his back as he moved to join her. His back was probably worse off then he realized. Potentially, this could put him out of commission until the wedding. Gaia would probably be happy with that. He'd been constantly out on missions since the death of his daughter. No matter. It wouldn't slow him down right now.

Kyran reapplied his Black Spirit spell. It would help his body move until they could get it looked at. Then he tore off the tatters of his shirt. Those were only a hindrance now. Now to the fight. Their last opponent was this weird looking tree thing. Amalie had the others in hand and Ahriman was finishing off his meal. "You were unlucky enough to be faced with me." Kyran said coolly as he approached the monster. He hefted his spear, sending it careening into the monster's chest. It keened in pain. the body began to glow green. "No you don't" His sword unleashed its fiery wrath. The hunter burst into flames, killed instantly by the attack.

The blood mage looked at his spear in the center of the burning body. He could retrieve it. His body was already badly burned. A little more wouldn't do anything really. However, it might injure his body enough to make him a liability to his teammates. A wave of his hand disintegrated the spear into dust. Turning around, Kyran saw Amalie dealing with the wyvern. As much as he burned to get some payback, the blood mage waited. Jumping in without warning only worked with people you knew implicitly. He could prepare for Amalie looking for help though.

""Light, to bind your darkness. Fervor, to curb your hunger. Steel, to diminish your strength. Death, to satisfy your essence. I call you forth. Medea!" The demon cat yowled in triumph as she formed from the blood he provided. Her tawny fur was smoothed back and a purr rumbled in her throat. She stood level with his shoulder. Black symbols were etched into Medea's fur and her fangs glinted in the sunlight. "Let's get some bitches. Gotta make momma proud!" Kyran grinned at that one. Adalinda was going to love this. He'd just have to keep Medea around until Adalinda was back in human form. A golden aura sprang up around Kyran as if the cat could read his thoughts. Her way of thanking him in advance.

When Amalie looked around, riding the beast as she was, Kyran moved. "Ahriman hit the left flank! Medea, the right." He extended a finger toward the beast. "Grave crimes deserve grave punishment." Vines of red and white wrapped around the wyvern. They pulled it to the ground, immobilizing it for the time being. A black blur hit it on the left. Medea on the other hand, moved toward it leisurely. When she was almost touching it, the demon roared. Threads of black energy wrapped themselves around the wyvern. A pulse of energy burned through the wyvern's scales.

It was hurt, bleeding, almost done at this point. Kyran drove the point of his sword into its shoulder. Leaving it there, the blood mage reached into his palm to pull out a dagger. He could hear the demons tearing into its flesh. There was knowledge of its death in its eyes. It seemed only fitting that Azreal's blade would reap its life. "Death comes for everyone" The blade split, burying itself in the wyvern in multiple places. It roared in pain, struggling to escape the inevitable. Kyran's eyes were cold as he ripped the blade sideways. The wyvern fell dead, sliced into a few nice patties.

Kyran stood next to the dead thing breathing heavily. Reaching forward, he pulled the sword from its side. "I think I might need to be done for the day." He said gesturing towards his back. Magic might heal it but it was always good to take things easy afterward. "I can keep going if need be. I can't feel the pain so I'm not sure how bad it really is. I'd rather be safe than sorry though with my wedding in a week. Gaia would kill me if I was in the hospital for it." He gave his companions a wry smile. Hopefully, with the death of the wyvern, this constituted as their job being done. He'd hate to bail in the middle of a mission.

    Adalinda

    The Iron Dragon Slayer

As her group started to gather together after they killed their enemies. She continued to look around, keeping alert for any of the creatures that may come after them. She looks to Amalie for her suggestion of why the creatures were here in this town, and shrugged her shoulders. It was a possibility there. Kyran's suggestion of the creatures being the villagers made her shake her head. "I highly doubt that the monsters roaming here are villagers. They're way too plant-like to even seem like they had human in them. And there would be traces of human more than likely!" Tammy had spoken up and crossed her arms over her chest. The exceed looked around with Ada as she takes a deep breath. As Ada voiced her suggestion, the exceed kind of nodded, she could see that being plausible. The wyvern joining the party though, it caused even Tammy to be a bit fearful. She just got herself healed. That thing could eat her alive as an olive! She wasn’t even snack worthy. Ada warned them all to be careful if they were staying, and nodded to Ada. She wasn’t leaving her either. As her two companions agreed that they were staying, a grin formed on her face. At least she could count on them staying and fighting with her. Ada rolled her eyes a bit at Kyran crying out at the wyvern. “You better watch who you’re calling a ‘giant lizard’ you know! Some find it rather insulting to be called so!”

When Veles took over and spoke what he wanted the others to do, he let out a snort to Amalie and Kyran. Sure he was hogging up the fun. He just knew he could take it down after tiring it out some so they could help take it down. “Be my guest to help out when I land it.” He growled at her before he dragoned up. He flew up and begun roaring at the wyvern to get its attention, in which he just started to loopdeloop around to get the thing to come after him. He didn’t pay any mind to Amalie, Kyran, or Tamaria. He didn’t need to be distracted by them, he just needed to feel where they were magically so he could steer the creature away from them. He swerved around the wyvern as it had gotten close to him after he taunted it. It didn’t seem too happy that Veles did that, or could even be up in the air like it was. It started to speed away as Veles just watched it in the sky. He could figure out what the ‘fake dragon’, as he called it, was trying to do. It was fast, so it was going to try and use it’s speed against him. The dragon gave a toothy grin as he prepared himself. The wyvern came back at him and aimed right for his neck. Veles actually had let him get dangerously close before he had twisted and flew out of the wyvern’s jaws. He also barely missed being grabbed with his claws too. Adalinda was screaming in Veles’ mind that he didn’t need to take over and that she wanted to do it, but he wasn’t having it.

Veles waited till the wyvern came back around again after he dodged the first time, hoping to dodge again. He roars at the wyvern as he started to fly himself towards the creature, throwing it off as it wasn’t expecting him to charge at it while it charged at him. It was perfect. Veles managed to grab hold of one of the wyverns front legs, effectively whipping himself over the creature and reaching down to grab hold of the other leg before reaching his hind legs out to grab the wyverns hind legs. As he had done this, Amalie had launched herself at the two, and he just growled a little to her. He wasn’t expecting her so soon, or did he just have that much fun playing tag with the creature that he took forever? Whichever the case, she was there, and was under him. He couldn’t crash it then, he might crush her himself in the process. “Little human, mind where you are.” He told her, despite lifting himself a bit to simply hold the wyvern’s legs, and not have his belly touch the creatures back. He was going to hold the creature steady while they flew so Amalie could injure it. That would most definitely help. It being weaker would make landing it easier.

He wasn’t going to stop her as she shoved her sword into the beast, waiting to see her idea and trusting her a bit. Her glass would hit the beast, and it started to wriggle a bit in Veles’ clutches. This wasn’t good. He glanced down to Amalie, hoping she’d be fine, despite her holding onto her rapier. He was having doubts on how safe she would be with how much this thing wriggled. Should he grab her and pull her off? Or let her ride it out? He wasn’t too sure, but he knew he had to make that decision quick. The wyvern jerked just right that Veles lost hold of one of the wyverns front legs. “Stupid human.” He mutters as he had quickly moved and grabbed her with his now free claw, being careful to not harm her as he let go of its hind legs and shoved on the wyverns back and towards the ground.

Kyran’s vines had come up and grabbed hold of the wyvern as it neared the ground, making the dragon confused for a moment. What was he doing? He watched a bit as the human had used his couple of summons to attack the wyvern, and then went to stabbing at it with a dagger? A puny knife of all things. Though, despite the dagger, it somehow worked in ending the creatures life. Something felt off to the dragon though. He moved to land next to them, setting the woman down as he looked at it. He had looked over at Kyran once he spoke of being able to keep going, but he had a wedding in a week. “There isn’t really much more it looks like… little humans… though you should learn some restraint, especially working with a team. You’re lucky it ended like how it did this time… Your life could have been the price if this creature was any stronger than it was…” He growled to the redhead. He looks back at the wyvern, then lifted his head to see what was around them. Tammy came flying up and looked at the trio. “There’s stragglers here and there around the forest, but the others should be able to take care of it if need be. And there’s no more of the tree demons.” She announced.

Tammy looked over to the wyvern, thinking she saw something, and Veles had turned his head to look right at the wyvern as well. “Stay back.” He says as he moves to put himself between the humans and the wyvern. The wyvern started to shake a bit, a low mumbling growl escaping from the maw as it looked towards Veles. This didn’t seem like the same wyvern that they were just fighting before. The color already seemed to drain from it as its eyes seemed duller than before already, and some plants seem to be growing out of the places where Amalie and Kyran had stabbed the creature. Adalinda would have hated seeing that, but Veles actually had a delight in seeing this. It was coming back from the dead to greet him, and he was more than happy to oblige. The dragon launched himself at the wyvern. It still had fight left in it, and was pushing against Veles as he used his massive body to shove it away from Amalie and Kyran, not wanting to risk their lives with how much it was getting at him. The force behind it, the claws, they would easily harm the two, especially if their magic was running low. The zombie wyvern let out a strangled cry as it tried to get after Veles. This thing was slower than it had been in the sky, and Veles doubted that this was as strong as it originally had been too.

Veles let out another roar as he let his jaws down on the creatures neck, managing to maneuver around its head to do so. He shoved a claw on its throat, effectively shoving it on its side, and away from him. Veles was now towering over the crazed seeming wyvern, glaring down at it with the ice blue eyes it carried, and growled menacingly at it before he slightly lifted his head to bring it down and roar at it. This roar, was different than before. It was a roar that spewed out a tornado of iron and steel shrapnel onto the face of the wyvern, causing it’s already strangled cries to be even more strangled and shriek out in pain. This went on for a minute, before the dragon closed his maw and took a step back. The shrapnel had managed to impale itself in various areas on the dragons head. Since the roar was so close to the wyvern's head, it had the full brunt of the blast on it, especially since it couldn’t dodge it at all. The zombie wyvern had fallen back slowly, landing with a loud ‘thud’ afterwards. Veles admired the work he had done before he stepped forward to lock his jaws around the base of the wyvern’s head where the neck meets it, and placed a leg on the shoulder of the creature. The next moment, Veles jerked his head away, successfully yanking the head from the neck. “There… the plague was taking over the wyvern…” He growls before he looked back towards the two.

Tammy was in between Amalie and Kyran, looking up to the dragon. He shook his shoulders a bit before he shifted himself back to Adalinda’s body, and closed his eyes for a moment. “He’s gonna give Ada control again… She’ll be weak and possibly faint, so don’t worry about it too much.” The exceed instantly flew after Ada as the girl started to go limp. Veles had taken all her strength like he usually did when he took over. It sucked. Hanging over Tammy, Ada gave a rather weak grin to the two while holding up a fist. “We did it…” She half chuckled while the purple exceed lead her towards them. “Its official, I’m done with plants… forever. As for you two… I think I’ll buy you two a couple rounds of drinks… hm?” Ada was trying her hardest to not let herself actually seem as drained as she was, knowing that not even her alcohol could get her out of this sluggish state at the moment. “Since… Tammy said there was only stragglers… I say we can call this a job well done… the other groups can deal with them.” Ada tapped Tammy to be let down, knowing she was ready to pass out, and Tammy helped her dragon slayer sit down on the ground. “Hey, even though it was Veles who did it… you’re technically now a zombie wyvern slayer~!” Tammy teased the girl. Ada just snorts while shaking her head, glancing towards Amalie and Kyran to see if they were celebrating or leaving or what. Regardless, she leans her head back while closing her eyes, grinning to herself that this was finally over.
