I've been out there and seen the things she's made
It had been one hell of a match. Mythal got the opportunity to watch it from the ground, his body refusing to answer him as he called it to move. All he could do was watch as the Voidwalker fought with her heart and soul, all the power she had putting put on display in grand fashion. By the end of it all, Argus was lying on the ground immobile and Serilda was left standing. The audience was stunned for a long moment, every single person waiting to see if Argus would get back to his feet one last time. But no such revolt came and then the cheering began, the chants of ‘new champs’ echoing throughout the arena. The God Slayer managed to smirk just enough as the darkness of unconsciousness began to seep into his vision. He watched Serilda up until his vision went completely blank and he passed out.
He was out for quite some time, even after the healers had tended to them. The amount of magic he had expended all at once had done a number on his magical pool and he needed a good, long rest. The medics helped him and Serilda back to their cottage, gifting them with their prize and their winnings before leaving. Though it was just bordering on evening, Mythal continued to sleep right through the night and only stirred right before dawn. He groaned softly, his eyes shifting behind their lids as he rose out of unconsciousness, feeling the heaviness of reality set back onto him. His body was sore, sure, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. It was amazing what some actual rest after healing magic could do.
It was still a bit early for Serilda to get up, though not by much. Surely once the first beams of sunlight curled over the horizon, she would be waking as well. He glanced over at her, lying in the bed next to him and he sighed, a small smile on his face. Fighting beside her had eased a lot of his mental anguish, if only temporarily. He forgot how thrilling a good fight could be and they had gone through a lot of them in a short amount of time. All his worries and cares were locked away for the time being, his mind just relieved to have let off some steam and stress. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, stretching his body and feeling all his muscles pop and quiver from exhaustion. There was a definite need for a morning stretch today.
And so he did just that. He took a moment to pause by Gren and give him a good petting, the small pup groaning a bit in his sleep and rolling over before falling back into it. Then he walked out to the small screened porch that was attached to their cabana, moving some of the furniture around so he had ample room to set himself up. Once there, he fell down softly and quietly, getting into a perfect push up position and then began the routine of descending and ascending, getting his muscles back into prime form.
