Bandit Wars [Alleria/Solo]

A lone figure cloaked in black stood by the edge of a cliff. Eyes filled with anticipation watched over the horizon, waiting for any signs of movement. If the intel she got was right, then today was the day when rival guilds Pyjacks and Buzzards would come together in the vast field below, and finally end the bad blood that plagued both clans. Yes it was a she, pulling the hood back, it revealed the face of one of the most sought after villains in all of Fiore. None other than the former magic council member turned traitor, Alleria Kusanagi.

Two weeks ago, Alleria happened to visit Clover Town's busiest spot, the Bureau of Internal Revenue. She was there to pay her monthly tax when she noticed a flier posted on one of the division's notice boards. It read in bold letters Urgent hiring, mercenaries with exceptional skill. Interested individuals can apply at any of the nearest Rune Knight's garrison in your area. Then she smiled when she saw the reward money. "It seems I found something fun to do. The reward money is just a bonus." So after paying her tax, just like any law abiding citizen she proceeded to the rune knights garrison which was conveniently located a across the street.

Once she got in the garrison, she handed the flier to the knight stationed at the front desk and said. "I would like to apply for this job please." The man gave her a confused looked and spoke "Good day to yah little Miss. Are yah sure yah sure yer be taking this mission? Tis be a pretty dangerous one. If I were yah, I'd roll along and drink tea and eat crumpets." Though a bit offended and annoyed, she still gave the officer a polite answer. "Yes sir, I am positive." Then as if on cue, the knight along with several of onlookers laughed out loud. Everyone knew that the mission was short of suicide, not even the bravest dare take up this job. No amount of jewels will suffice if in exchange you will loose your life.

Then the laughter suddenly died down when a man stepped through the door and asked in a monotonous tone. "What's so funny?"

It was the division's commander, Sir Ned Stark. A middle aged man, well built and a regal presence. He exuded an aura of command and his confidence was evident in his stride. The man spoke again. "I asked, whats so funny?" The attending officer held up the flier that Alleria brought and said. "Little missy here wants to take this mission. Either she be missing some nuts in her head or she be thinking tis be a matter to be taken lightly." The commander eyed Alleria then looked back him and said. "Have to tested her yet?" The man was startled, could their chief really be serious, it was clear that this young girl was just yanking their chains. Just look at her body, her flawless skin and delicate hands are proof that this young lady had been spared from a life of toil and hard work. How could he possibly take her serious, she is even wearing a long flowing dress. Not the typical apparel chosen by mercenaries. "But, but..." the man said as he made a gesture pointing out the girls visible flaws, which was everything about her. "If your too afraid then I do it myself." their commander said. He blushed then said. "Fine, but remember, my hands are clean on this on. It'll be on her head if she gets injured. Ok missy, just follow me outside and yer test shall commence." The confused Alleria, along with curious onlookers, followed the man into the a vacant lot at the back of the building.

The commander walked between then and began explain. "Alright then. As you probably might have know, this is a perilous mission. And in order for you to be approved, you have to undergo a test. The test is simple. It is a one on one battle. In order for you to pass, you can either knock out, incapacitate or force your enemy into submission. In this case Officer Mc Draw. Be warned though, he may look harmless but he is a really good fighter and no one can match his exceptional skill. If the rules are clear to you, lets commence the test."

The burley knight grinned at the young lady and motioned for her to attack, then he said in a condescending tone. "Come and get me little missy." Alleria was never the type to refuse such an offer. "Come to me Korchin, your master summons thee!" A purple magic circle formed on the ground before her and a bat-like creature appeared be their eyes. "Ohhh,she be a summoner this little lady." he took a second look at her summon and added "An ugly little summon if ye ask me." then laughed a hearty laugh which was followed by the spectators. "Master, he called me ugly! Let rip him to shred master!" said the agitated summon. She winked at the bat and said "No, I have a better idea. Lets humiliate him first then you can rip him to shreds." The familiar understood what her master meant and nodded.

A purple haze cloaked her entire frame, hiding her from everyone's eye. Then two bat-like wings peered through the haze and starts flapping, blowing the purple haze away. On Alleria's back were a set of wings similar to her minion. Then a shrill sound rang out which signaled her to attack. The knight wasn't caught off guard, but somehow the little girl managed to land some hits on him. He tried his best to block it with his trunk like arms but hit after hit her strikes are connecting. Everyone but the Commander was impressed. He could see right through her tactics, she attacks while her summon appears to be doing nothing. Then he noticed the opened mouth of the bat. "Of course, super sonic waves that hinders balance and reaction time."

Meanwhile on the battle field, the knight was being barraged by punches and kick. Though they dont hurt that much, its starting to annoy him. As if having enough of this insult, the man suddenly gave out a war cry which startled the little girl. A golden light began to swirl around his body. His appearance became more menacing and his eyes are now serious, far different from the one he had earlier when he was jolly and laughing. "Ok little missy, let play for real this time."

Officer Mc Draw seemed different. His body looked bigger, his face fiercer on and he is now covered with scales. Seems the knight uses take over magic. The fat and tubby knight transformed into draconian like beast. His face resembled that of a dragon, yellow piercing eyes and a huge jaw with jagged teeth. This body now completely covered with scales, his hands now claws all sharp and ready to shred her to shreds and a tail which span to three meters with a fin like edge on the end. "I hope he doesnt breath fire." No sooner had she said those words, smoke began to rise of his nostrils and an orange like seemed to emanated deep within his throat. He opened his mouth and released a huge breath of fire which blasted its way like a wave rushing towards the shore. Seeing as she cant out run it, she signaled Korchin to stop his silent screams and to take to the air to avoid being roasted. The creeping fire incinerated everything within its path, forcing onlookers to back further away. The enraged knight continued to spew fire all around him, making the temperature rise significantly. She was trying to see what her opponent was doing within the blaze when something came out speeding right her way. It grazed her cheek drawing blood before it retreated once again. "The tail!" A cowardly tactic but its quite effective, she wont be surprised if he lunged himself at her. It darned hard to see with all this blaze going on. "Master what now? We cant reach but im probably sure he can reach. It seems this guy is quite strong, if he keeps this up... you know what might happen." Korchin was right, she might loose herself and expose herself then and there. It was time to end this little game.

She held out her hands and a small purple mist appeared. The mist then began to spread, through her hands, arms and torso. It continued until her whole body was covered by it. Then she flew, encircling the burning blaze, seeding the mist as she go. Soon the blaze was covered in darkness, the light of the fire trapped within the shroud of haze that she had concocted. The fire began to die down. Even with Mc draw continuing to breath fire, the flames still dwindled. "What have yah done yah little witch!" the draconian knight said as he attacked her with his sharp claws. But the attack never reached her, a glowing orb stopped him dead on his tracks, toppling over the huge beast. The man staggering knight looked at Alleria as she stepped closer and said " What is that?". The man was referring to the bird like insignia on her forehead. Alleria ignore her question and said "Hush, go to sleep. When you wake up, you will remember nothing. You will remember nothing." The knight then started to doze off, his appearance reverting back to his human self. The mist that she casted on the battleground then began to dissipate, when the fog was cleared, Alleria stood smiling while the knight lay flat on his face. Everyone was shocked. There was utter silence at first but when the commander started to clap his hands, the rest of the crowd began to cheer for her. The commander walked up to her and said "I dont know what you did, but you did it." He handed a sealed letter to her and added "That is your proof. The instructions are there, it will also grant you free train pass and the hassle of inspection on town gates. Good job and congrats!" The commander gave her a light tap on the shoulder as a sign of recognition of her talents. Then he went to attend on his fallen comrade while Alleria left with the document in hand.

Alleria was yanked out of her reverie when she saw a cloud of dust rise off in the distance. Two dust clouds to be exact, and they are heading right towards each other. "Finally, they have arrived. Time to earn me some money."

A huge group clad in ethnic clothing arrived from the east, the fore runner had in his hand a pole with a banner attached to it. The logo on the flag was a black bird resembling a vulture or buzzard, its wings spread open and it perched upon a red skull. The man leading them waved their flag proudly. Roy Mustang, leader of the Buzzards. A middle aged man almost barely in his forties. A muscular guy, with black hair and comely face. He wore an eye patch on his left eye and had a bushy mustache above his lips.

From the west side, came the other group. They wore garbs which would remind one of sailors and pirates of the seas. Like the Buzzards, their leader was also on the vanguard and he too waved their banner. Their banner had the symbol of a red snake coiled around and right through the eye holes of a white skull. Their leader was Lorkan Sparrow, he was younger in comparison to the Buzzards Leader. He was still in his late twenties. He had blonde hair and well shaved face. If not for the silly feather hat he had on his face, you might actually say that he's quite a dashing debonaire.

Both parties marched on until there was but a hundred meters separating them. The leader of the Buzzards made a hand gesture and a skinny man ran towards him clutching something in his hand. The leader grabbed and spoke trough it causing a loud booming sound "Are you ready to accept our terms and surrender?" The leader of the Pyjacks also made a hand gestured and a man also brought him a lacrymic megaphone. The man spoke in an irritated tone "Are you crazy? We Pyjacks never surrender to anyone. And with this huge number of people rallying, do you think that its an option we will take? Its you who should agree to our terms!" There was a brief period of silence, then their leader Roy answered "So be it. Buzzards attack!" And with that both camp started their advance.

Alleria was contemplating whether to attack them both or to just wait for the clash to end then ambush the victor. There were definitely pros and cons to this and the latter choice had the most pros so it seemed to be the most reasonable pick she would make. Wrong. A smile crept up her lips as she dashed towards the battle field below. "Who am I kidding, the first choice is way more exciting. And besides, I hate waiting." were her thoughts as she descended into the fray.

Meanwhile, far off into the distance. The two leader were battling it out one on one. The Pyjack leader wielding a ornately decorated scimitar while the Buzzard leader had an iron staff with a bird statuette at the end of its pole. They were swinging at each other with great might, non of them thinking of giving up. They knew that their men looked at them for morale so they cant afford to slack off.
