"So, you think that is where they went after robbing you of your tome?"
"I've no confirmation but... hopefully that is the case. Please get it back in one piece!"
"I'll see what I can do."
The blonde woman strolled along the outskirts of Shirotsune, shifting her aquamarine gaze about as she analyzed her surroundings for any sign of others in her magic sensory range. She wore a tucked white dress shirt, with two top buttons left undone and a black buckle just a few inches above the ends of her sleeves, as well as a pair of sleek blue jeans, a belt matching the aforementioned buckles, and brown boots reaching up to her ankles. Along her shoulders was a navy blue cloak, with a heightened collar that fluttered from the every occasional breeze, and kept hanging from her due to a pair of black laces tied together while hovering over her neck.
The calm and collected, platinum-haired Mage stopped dead in her tracks and sniffed for a moment, before squinting further ahead into a clearing. Submerged in bushes amongst the woodland she had been trecking through, she had just stepped into a sufficient range to detect her the suspects. Right now, she could detect about... nine people within her sensory range? But her sense of smell was off in contrast to that, making her suspect that there were more ahead, just out of her range. What was the strangest part of it all was that they seemed alert, and their clothing was unorthodox. They barely revealed their skin, and instead opted to hide behind the coverage of a partial face mask and various, baggy clothes that left their gender or what they might have concealed up to debate.
Angelica let out a heavy sigh, knowing that from the tension in the air that her arrival had not gone unnoticed, and that they were as aware of her as she was of them. Standing up from her prone position amidst the bushes, the slayer casually elevated her hand past her shoulder, pushing her for once free-flowing, lengthy blonde locks behind her. "I might've gotten in over my head.. but let's give this a go anyways." Angelica murmured to herself, before buckling her knees. She sprung into action, thrusting up into the air to give herself a good vantage point. Under normal circumstances, a Mage of her level -- with no supplementary talents at least active would've noticed the concealed ninja, but an unmistakably conceited sneer, matched with a craning of her eyebrows, showed that she had otherwise under her belt.
The female extended her arm forth and stuck her pointer finger out, magic energy channeling itself in the form of a flickering white light at the base of her index. Now detecting about twelve white ninja instead of the previous nine, her bravado faltered, but it was by no means visible. Half a dozen shuriken were sent thrusting up towards her, their owners moving about in her line of sight while the other six seemed to make an effort to conceal themselves amidst the surrounding woodland. Regardless, the white light suddenly fired off, expanding out into decently-sized, six-separate waves that rained down upon the set of enemies.
The waves pulverised the incoming projectiles, proceeding to home in on their throwers as they made an effort to take cover. Each of them were struck with an individual wave and thrown off their feet, though they were quick to get back up, showing resistance and resilience, but slightly more sluggish movement than before. As Angelica landed on the ground, they ran up to surround her, drawing their blades in anticipation for her to make some move.
'This is gonna be tough.. oh boy.' Angelica mused, before flaring up her magical energies enticingly. She was ready as ever... or at least wished she was!
