As Ayeseru was occupied with his own battle, he failed to notice the amount of new opponents that had just appeared. The signal to him was the leader shooting a rocket launcher, hitting his own men and other mages as he missed the little girl. He smirked as she defeated the ringleader, and then focused on his own opponents. Though there were not many left, they were being a nuisance to him, and so he was annoyed. He needed to put an end to them as soon as possible so he would be able to stop the mage leader.
However, as he was looking on to see what was happening with the girl, he failed to realize till after they were near him that the remaining four merchants were NOT happy. Seeing their leader and other comrades fall was horrific to them, causing them to go in a state of rage. Two of the merchants were charging towards Ayeseru, who with his dragon-like reflexes managed to shadow step out of the way before he was pierced with two pitchforks aiming at him at a high speed. He was getting sick of it, and so casted his Dark Fist spell.
That was mistake number one. Mistake number two would be his failure of realizing where exactly were the other two merchants he had been battling, which, in fact were right behind him, and they did NOT look pleased as they were trying to drive their hammers onto Ayeseru's skull. Again, his dragon-like reflexes saved him and so he was able to shadow step away from his foes. At this point, Ayeseru was not pleased at all. Now that he let the merchants dish out their failed strikes, it was his turn to do damage.
As he turned into his shadow form, he went straight to the merchants with the pitch forks working together. They stood their ground, not because of bravery, but because of fear. Ayeseru would then use his shadow to leap into the air, and JUST before his shadow would land on them, he solidified himself and smashed the face of one of the merchants with his Dark Fist, and kneed the other again in the face. I seem to like striking faces very much for some reason... I wonder why that would possibly be the case. In his mind, it all sounded sarcastic.
Eight were taken down, two were left. Seeing what had just happened to their comrades right before their eyes put the remaining merchants in a frozen state. Ayeseru calmly walked to them, with a very wicked and sadistic smile. One of the merchants couldn't stand seeing Ayeseru and ran off, though the other was still frozen. As he approached the merchant more and more, the expression on his face grew more sinister and evil. Not giving the merchant much time to react, Ayeseru used his speed, dragon slayer strength AND spell strength to strike the merchants groin, sending him flying into the air, and then falling with a loud thump noise.
One remained. Ayeseru yawned as he watched the coward merchant and his attempts to flee, though that did him no good. Ayeseru shadow stepped in front of the merchant and quickly knocked him out with a single strike. Ayeseru would then return to the side of his temporary ally. "Well then, that is taken care of. Do you require any assistance?"
