WINTER WONDERHELL! // [EVENT: Amagiri, Lance & Blitz!]

Colorless eyes trembled in a bizarre concoction of curiosity and fear. Snow cascaded down from the sky in bunches, blanketing the empty ground beneath in a white coat not too dissimilar from the clothes that Amagiri himself donned. You'd think, on a wintery day like this one, that white would be the only color you see. The delicate beauty of snow trickling down to decorate the world in it's fervent and pure glow. You'd think the addition of extra colors would only add to the angelic atmosphere; the assumption couldn't have been more wrong.

Though beautiful in it's own right, there was something mischievous and deadly about the red, green and icy blue portals that dotted the sky like flocks of birds. They whirlpooled around eachother, coalescing within one-another often-time to create bigger and smaller formations. A magical nature exuded from their depths though this particular form of energy didn't fill the white-haired mage with a pleasant feeling but a sensation of dread. Something sinister was afoot and the thunder slayer couldn't place his finger on what that was.

No sooner had the thought crossed his mind than the portals displayed differing reactions of activity. The swirling had come to a stop only to rain down monstrous-looking silhouettes. These shadows emerged from the luminescence that birthed them and hit the ground with a resounding thud. It was impossible to make them out for now such was blinding effect of the snow that now rained down even more heavily than before. A storm began to converge on the small port city of Hargeon, icing the very sea that dotted it's coast. The shadows began to converge and Amagiri took a step back despite the resistance that met his foot. It was as if the very snow itself were acting against him, working with the monstrous silhouettes that loomed closer and closer.

"This isn't good.. what's going on.."

Amagiri paused and his mouth opened as one of the silhouettes sliced through the snow in an effort to an attack. A sudden dive into the white depths below narrowly saved his life as the glint of something sharp flashed past his eye. Heart-in-mouth, Amagiri remained, coated in the snow that acted as a form of complimentary yet very temporary camouflage; breathing heavily. This was no ordinary storm.

Lance and Ambit often went on adventures together to the places where Lex often sent the young mage. Lex, the demon he had made a deal with, usually sent the mage places that would help him in some way or something that could help him get back to the way he was before: Fun loving and exciting. However, this was not one of those times. Lex sent him here with complete urgency and refused to send Ambit a long with him. Lance was very curious about this fact because when he got to the town, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary.

Pure white snow fluttered onto the ground, enough snow to make his foot prints and inch or two into the ground. Puling his hood up, the boy looked around at the snow-covered trees and the dark sky. As his golden orbs scanned the area, he caught sight of something that caused his eyes to widen with fear, sending a chill down his spine: The colorful portals in the sky with things coming out of them. These were often seen as beautiful or cheerful colors that fit the current season of joy but this time it was different. This was not a good scene.

The first thing that he thought about when the silhouettes hit the ground was the event that happened in Era a very long time ago when a group of mages summoned the king of the dragons. He almost died trying to save the world in that event. Quick flashes of the city being destroyed, people dying under falling buildings, among other things from that event crossed trough his mind. He couldn’t help but stare at the beings, unable to move out of fear.

His eyes darted around and eventually saw a being that was being attacked by one of the monsters. The man was able to dodge but Lance was unsure about what would happen with the monsters next attack. Lance’s first thought was to turn and run. Everyone he had ever tried to help or save had met doom or got out very hurt. Turning his body fully away from the being, he took a few steps before stopping. He his faced the ground as he shook his head, fists clenched at his side.

“Ah hell…”

He took one more step away from the drama, this time his foot pressing into the snow and launching his body in the opposite direction. He quickly ran over to the man’s side, his own white hair covering his face. He looked at the beasts while his eyes took a moment to adjust. What he saw were simple polar bears. He smirked for a second in disbelief. “What? Polar Bears?” He glanced at the man beside him and nodded “You know how to fight? If so I hope you don’t mind me joining you…” that was all he would say as the symbol on his hand started glowing bright red.

He was still confused as to what was happening. This was not normal, it was dark.

A resounding crunch was heard only a few meters away from where Amagiri remained. Snow dropped from the sodden white hair that rose in concealing curls away from the white-haired mage's obscured features. He breathed heavily as the cold started seeping deep into his bones such was the intense atmosphere that pounced onto Hargeon like a predator after prey.

The three silhouettes were clear now. Behemoths coated in white fur, piercing black eyes and terrifyingly long claws that decorated the humongous paws that left gargantuan marks where they stood. One of them lay on the floor, breathing heavily after a seemingly impactful blow left a rather nasty mark in it's side. Snow glistened along it's fur and the young mage gulped a little. Could all this damage actually be derived from something so small as a snowball?

Amagiri glanced around himself to see two others, magical energy swirled around their bodies in formations not too dissimilar from himself.

Wizards...

Slowly, the white-haired thunder wizard brought himself to his feet. A glance of surprised echoed across his blue features as he realized how quickly the snow had built in such a short amount of time; Amagiri was sure this would become a great hindrance should this fight drag on too long. He shook his head while his body began to crackle with black electricity, melting the snow that attempted to coil itself around his feet.

"Guess we'll leave introductions for later. Yeah, I'm ready to fight."

Amagiri readied himself into a boxing stance as black lightning coursed through the rivulets of his knuckles. He launched himself from the snow, whereby shards of white evanescence flickered through the wind--rocketing through the air considering the power of Amagiri's take-off. He appeared infront of one of the polar bears which roared upon his arrival. A swinging right hook that burnt with raw energy came careening into the polar bear's exposed jaw. It raised it's claws in a desperate attempt to bat off the blow but it was too late. Electrical light illuminated a small vicinity; blinding everyone that was within it's reach.

Smoke coursed in streams off Amagiri's exposed fist as he breathed heavily. The polar bear's formerly black eyes had descended into orbs of unconscious white while it's body lay in a heap atop it's compatriot which also resided in a form of haplessness.

"You're up, pal! Last one is all yours.."

Amagiri exclaimed to the other white-haired individuals whilst more silhouettes dropped from the sky. This battle was far, far from over.

Lance was about to launch his first attack but became distracted by a snowball flying past him at high speeds, hitting a bear in the head which caused it to fly back. He would glance towards where the bear landed and saw just the body of a creature that could no longer move. He shook his head, the fact that a creature like this could be beaten so easily was not a foreign fact to him. He knew full and well how fragile a body was as he had broken many.

The other mage would speak up, responding to the question he had previously asked. He looked at the mage that had just joined them and shrugged “No clue. It’s not good though, I know trouble when I see it.” He said just in time to witness the white-haired wizard lunge and the second bear, knocking that out in one blow as well. All that Lance could do was watch in awe, these wizards were truly powerful and if he picked a fight with either one of them, he was sure to lose. He scratched the back of his head “Damn, with performances like that, I feel like I’m outplayed.” He gave a soft chuckle as he himself readied to fight the last bear.

His magic was not what it used to be, in fact, it was only a shell of his former shadow magic. His fight with Famine had all but drained him of his power since he decided to enlist the help of a demon. He eyed the opposing bear cautiously, seeing what he could do about it as his magic was weak. He scratched his head before nodding, deciding it was better to do something rather than nothing at this point.

By this time, the snow around his feet had created a nice case around them but this would not matter in the slightest as his first move didn’t require him to move. He placed the palm of his hand out in front of him, closing one eye to aim the spell just right. The red symbol on his hand would start glowing a bright ruby color as a seal of the same appeared on his palm. Red and black aether would flow in and around the wizard, encasing into a ball shape in the middle of the seal, growing as the seal grew bigger as well. Both the ball and the red seal would shoot back into Lance’s hand, everything going quiet for half a second before Lance opened his mouth to speak “Forbidden Seal: Chaos Beam”.

A demonic red and black beam would shoot out of the wizard’s hand, flying at the bear. The beam would travel through it, moving the polar bear with it. When the beam finally died out all that was left of the bear was a body lying next to the others.

Lance would let his hand drop to his side as he silently proceeded to get his feet unstuck out of the snow. He would look up and see more figures falling out of the sky all around the group. He circled his gaze around in all directions “Well, it would seem we are surrounded.” He said calmly as he gazed at the mixture of polar bears and tiny little elves around them.
