With a slight smile and a twinkle in his eye the killer looked at his handy work, at his feet lay Mr. Jekis and Mrs. Jekis, as well as their children. Rope tied the family together, and cloth gagged their insistent whimpering. Whistling a tuneless, but cheerful jingle the killer was setting about his work. He had gotten hay from the barn near by and placed it everywhere he could thing, covering the family, the bed, the living room, and everything else in sight. Once more he glared to his side as the little one seemed to burst into tears, with a sneer and a glare he turned away, his mood and tune ruined.
‘Del’ turned to look at his handiwork, his black hair looking like oil in the torchlight, his red eyes looking sinister, demonic, sadistic. With a smile he dropped the torch and walked from the room, enjoying the cries of anguish coming from behind him. Sending just a few minutes to light up the fields, the barns, and the rest of the nearby buildings. With a wicked grin Del closed his eyes. “Enjoy…”, the anarchic personality said as he drifted off to sleep.
‘Enjoy… Enjoy… Enjoy…’ the voice seemed to come from a far away place, as if coming from a muffled room. The first thing that came to mind was warmth, heat, glow. He could feel it on his skin, as a bead of sweat dripped off his white hair. Opening his eyes, the second thing he noticed was light, blinding light, piercing light.
Suddenly, the Assassin realized he was not where he last remembered. When he had last ‘slept’ he was drinking in a bar. Now, he was in a field, in an unknown location, surrounded by fire. Deleronark signed, once more Del had taken control and ‘sated his appetite’, and once more he had drifted back into their conciseness leaving Deleronark to deal with the mess.
Giving a heavy sign Deleronark reached towards his face, and to his satisfaction discovered that he was wearing his mask. Del had learned some time ago how much it angered Deleronark when he was up to his antics, and not taking care to keep their identity a secret. Luckily, the two had stopped having that argument, Del had come to realize that if they were to be captured by the rune knights his antics would come to an end. Now that the assassin was sure that was dealt with, he realized there was screaming. It was hoarse and raw, the last screams of a dying man. Turning towards the family home the assassin realized that must have been where Del started. Without wasting any more time, the assassin got started making absolutely certain there were no signs that he had even been here, starting with the remains of the main house, and ending with the fields he then walked from the farms, whatever reasons Del had, they were done, and there would be no signs.
Now it was time for Deleronark to wash off the blood.
