Pseudonym: Torian Pace (and often addresses to such)
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Birthday: January 2
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics:
The fact that he doesn't seem too familiar with anything related to Earthland
Personality: Terith grew up to become the bright-eyed boy in a family of two sisters and a single father, his mother being a grave on the other side of their hill house. Being sheltered without a mother had been rough, but it certainly wasn't enough to push him into a recluse. Instead, Terith admired his father dearly, and in his mind, he was the boy's model of a strong man -emotionally and physically.
He carried his father's outlooks into his world with a smile, one that showed how much he favored depth over shallowness, where he found an importance in intellect and charisma, and where Terith learned the meaning of consequence and the responsibility that came with it. With this, he founded most of his life foundations that involved his dreams, his family, and notably, the people he'd share his works with.
His sisters were relatively fond of him, not only because he was the youngest out of them all, but mostly because his natural personality was endearing. He had this way of musing you into his train of thought, had you actually listen to him without droning on like a preacher boy. He liked to act mature even if he wasn't at the right age, and it was commendable to watch him looking so lost but still so keen on analyzing the state of something he barely had any knowledge on. The boy also did have a strange way of looking at things, and sometimes, his analogies weren't the best, nor were his poetry, nor was his humor, which was as dry as it could get -perhaps even drier.
But they knew Terith would grow up to become a fine young lad, and he honestly did. He could have been grown to have this perfectly calm persona, if it weren't for his siblings who poked holes into his ego and brought out his true nature -an awfully awkward young man who had a difficulty of expressing his feelings properly. Sure, they had taught him how to properly treat a lady but his dull skills of handling his own affection was a waste of effort (they noted how he'd grow a little loose on the lips, what with the smidgens of insults and the constant denial, and the terrible red blush of embarrassment...what was it called then? A Tsundere?)
He's habitually over-thinking things too, one quirk that earned him more teasing.
Nevertheless, he treated people with high regards. He knew how to play the gentleman if needed, but even a well-rounded man like him went over his bounds. As he becomes more associated with someone, he finds it easier to open his mouth and talk over countless things, and throw in a bit of a mean comment or two, but nothing too harmful (well...so long as it isn't brought about from teasing, at the very least).
Whether a leader or a follower, he finds trust in his better judgement and only keeps his best mates closer to his best kept secrets. Otherwise, it's quite difficult to earn his trust if he held a horrible impression on whoever was concerned.
As for a fight, perhaps a writer who barely managed to pay his student loans isn't much for a blood-curdling fight at first. The only fighting experience he's had was with his PC and his consoles back home. But after his years with a good friend and mentor, he may have founded a keen eye for strategy, never really favoring brute force. Although still very clumsy with his positioning and only narrowly dodging things, Terith fairs in swordplay in a slightly notable way. He hopes to gain more experience eventually. Hopefully.
Now, if only he'd rid of that stupid habit of calling everything stupid when he was frustrated.
Likes:
►Paintings: His eldest sister was a free-lance artist and when he was young, he'd often tag along with her and watch her be in her element. He isn't gifted in painting or any drawing for that matter (in fact he can do no more better than a 6 year old), but he likes to look and think.
►Lemon Tea: Terith always had a very high tolerance to sour stuff, but what he really seeks at the end of a long day is a one cup of lemon tea and anything to compliment.
►Literature: It was in good nature for the Blair family to rear their youngest in an upbringing framed by their love for anything prose and poetry; and to further his passion for the literary arts in both his mundane life and otherwise is a means of upholding them, in memory and in love.
►Music (specifically rock): It servers as his pick-me-up after a long day at the university. He's not exactly sure where to find a good guitar solo in Earthland, but he seems to have adapted to the other genres somehow.
►Videogames: It's a shame they don't seem existent in this world, but he seems content with thinking his life is now officially an rpg in the making...maybe?
Dislikes:
►Recklessness: Having schooled in strategic processes, his manner of swordplay thrives on calculations and timing. Terith would rather retreat as a decisive move as opposed to lunging head-long into irrationality.
►Teasing: He has a horrible tolerance for petty teasing that pick at his downsides, he isn't the type to blow from a short fuse, rather, he feels irked and annoyed and this a guaranteed strategy to make him show how loud he is.
►Calling him cute: No. Don't. The easiest way to embarrass him is calling him cute.
►That Priestess who thought it was funny to spirit him away: He tells himself she must have had some kind of reason, like make him realize something important, but he just loses his patience sometimes and wishes she'd answer when he calls out -sadly, she doesn't, so he's left with his frustration and a samurai sword.
Motivations:
►Artistic Merit: Publishing a book is something of its own worth, but to be reveled for his talents as an author by an audience feels incredibly more profound to him.
►His father: His father died with wisdom and honor, and ultimately, he wishes to inherit a similar level of greatness. Thinking of his father and his teachings greatly provides him a source of motivation that he otherwise wouldn't have managed on his own.
►An Unknown Goal: Realistically speaking, he knows that apart from writing, he wishes to accomplish something else. Though he may not be aware of it, he trusts that his journey ahead ends with him filling that void in his chest.
Fears:
►Femme Fatales: Notably associated with his elder sisters, he has this induced fear of strong females. Mainly because he fears he feels he lacks the stability to present himself without mentally pulling off that tsundere side of his.
►Human Folly: At the very roots of all things dark and morbid are the shortcomings of humanity. Terith cannot be exempted from imperfection, but he wholesomely fears the day his incompetence results in someone's else's undoing, more so himself.
►Eternity without a solution: He does like the idea of magic at his disposal and a world of fantasy, but he just really wants to get back home. And if he doesn't, well...that's where compromise kicks in and he hates to compromise his dreams for something else.
General Appearance:
Height: 172 cm
Weight: 53 kg
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Skin Tone: Fair
Appearance: Formal wear is what the blonde sees as his go-to for days on end, regardless if it might be a little unorthodox for some. He only ever gravitates to these garments out of pure habit, considering how his late father liked to express his dislike for whatever was the current trend for male youths at the time - and truly, Terith shared the opinion in earnest. There's something far more comforting about sporting pressed dressing shirts and knotting ties, a linger of professionalism in a vest or a blazer. Some exceptions to his solemn fashion tastes is when a casual dress code is implemented, if everything else is at the cleaner's, or if it's just too hot to wear more than two layers. In this case, he'll properly don something lighter, but nothing too adventurous.
