Post by Amalie 30th December 2018, 2:31 pm

Strange things had been happening all over the place recently, portals appearing in random locations. Within the last few hours, reports of weird creatures popping up all over the place, causing all sorts of chaos. Amalie like many mages across the land, had been assigned to handle the concern. it wasn't long before she arrived on the shores of the Celestial Sanctum, land she had recently learned was property acquired by the alliance of the three guilds; The West Fiore Trading Company, Fairy Tail and Silver Wolf. She hadn't been around the guild very much lately, since having learned what it was that was triggering the strange reaction within her. She had poured herself over several textbooks and pages of research, visited three grande libraries in which she had spent hours on end reading up on the seven seals and the four horsemen. Pulling out every bit of historical or biblical text that even referred to them in the slightest. She had managed to find the excerpt that broke down the seven seals. Breaking it down and learning what she could, attempting to interpret the information. See the four horse man were easy enough to grasp, but the others, the remaining three, that was where the mystery lay.

So, she had reached a dead end.

Her research had only led her so far, now it was time for a real test. Something much more practical, and concrete. Amalie knew exactly how to manage it too. She just need to subtlety enlist his help... Again. It was a good thing he was her mentor now, else she would struggle to justify why she was spending so much time with the man. Not that she really cared how people might interpret things, as long as she got want she wanted in the end. When the situation had broken out, she had requested that she accompany her mentor to wherever they were sent to deal with it. Of course, she fully intended to handle the beasts. But she also wanted to see if there was more to it, this thing inside her that reacted so strongly to Mars, and the being she believed was called Aporia. She couldn't exactly reach out the Markus Eldridge, not as easily as she could Johann. Vice President of her guild and mentor, it was an easy enough set up. Now to see if it worked, if that being truly did exist within her. She looked around at the area surrounding her, standing there in her white West Fiore Trading company uniform, her rapier resting in its sheath, resting firmly at her hip. She began wondering just how long she would have to wait before her mentor arrived, her patience was growing thinner by the minute. The sooner he got here, the sooner she could test her theory.

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Post by Shen Kadokawa 4th January 2019, 5:00 am

The tiny bells gave a short ring when Jo left the store, the door falling into its frame behind him as he walked out, the small, white bag in his hands. The day was rather cold, as expected of a day in the middle of winter, a thin blanket of snow covering the port city of Anhew. The formerly quiet, but functional town closest to the Headquarters of the West Fiore Trading Company, over the past year, had grown into a bustling trading port and settlement, filled to the brim with merchants, traders and folk directly or indirectly doing business with the WFTC, with its Vice President right in the middle of it. Jo preferred to do his shopping here in Anhew, especially for the fresh ingredients and other consumables he required for his meals and daily business. Thus, the silver-haired Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company had found himself here in Anhew today once again, walking down a small alley on his way back to the Company Headquarters, the bag with the ingredients by his side, the air filled with the sounds of a vibrant merchant metropolis and the scent of all manners of baked goods and spices from the nearby market. It was a day like any other, as far as the Vice President was concerned, the reports of strange portals opening once again, as it seemed to be tradition in Fiore, not yet reaching Anhew or its citizens, Jo paying little mind to his surroundings. The atmosphere of the port city, safe for the seasonal changes, was the same as always after all, Johann casually continuing to stroll down this alley, dressed in his white West Fiore Trading Company Suit which, for one, seemed to blend in nicely with the snow, about to turn a corner when a quick, lazy glance to the side made him stop in his tracks.

Before himself, just to the side and leaning against the cold stone wall of a building was a small cardboard box, covered in snow, cramped within, cowering to one side in a desperate attempt to keep warm a tiny, unmoving body. A puppy, perhaps a golden retriever, the young canine just lying there, out here in the cold and in the snow. Jo kneeled down to inspect the box more closely. "An unwanted Christmas gift, perhaps ?", he whispered to himself as he set down the bag, stretching out a hand with a sudden realization. That's why he had felt no aura ... the young creature was dead. The silver-haired Vice President grit his teeth. That someone would willingly accept the possibility of the thing freezing to death for the sake of their own convenience. "You lot truly are the worst, tsseh", Mars giving voice to the VP's thoughts in his head, the words ringing through his subconsciousness. It really meant something when the apocalyptic Seal of War could claim the moral high ground. "I suppose some of us are", he spoke back harshly, his expression reflecting his emotional state, stretching out his hand anew, carefully pulling the body from what little bit of shelter it had had, taking off his jacket and wrapping the small thing up in it, leaving only the little head exposed to the elements before reaching into one of his pockets for an item that he had come to carry with himself at all times, not exactly for cases like these, but as a back up plan. "Are you sure you wish to waste such a valuable item on a useless creature like this ?", Mars inquired with his usual, playful tone. Of course, he would. The small stray dog reminded the man of himself, after all. He couldn't recall how many times he had wished that someone had helped him out when he had still spent his days on the streets of Minstrel. "What would you know of empathy, Lord of War. I don't expect you to understand", the agitated Vice President opening the small vile of water before emptying the entirety of its contents into the little creatures open mouth. The VP had a point, the Lord of War thought. Not that it really mattered, anyway.

For a few seconds, nothing seemed to happen, every passing moment a little more painful for the silver-haired male before finally, with closed eyes, the young canine seemed to stretch, yawn and open its eyes. It seemed exhausted, weak, and rather confused, but ... the puppy was alive. "... and what now, old man ?", Mars asked with an annoyed tone, his advice as usual ignored. "You intend to take this thing with you back to your domicile ?", Johann answering without delay, carrying the bundle in his arms and standing back up, completely disregarding the bag before turning around the corner to ultimately make his way back to the HQ. "Precisely, Mars".

It did not take the VP long to find his way back to the front desk, Alisha seemingly already awaiting his return, the blonde giving Jo a small wave when he stepped through the large mahogany double doors that marked the entrance to the building. "Hey Johann, there's ... is that a puppy ? I had no idea you wanted to get one", she smiled as she greeted him, Johann shaking his head "I didn't. Is something wrong ?", inquiring about her approach. "It seems like there is, yes", the blonde was quick to answer, "Miss West requests your presence at the Celestial Sanctum. Looks like there are strange portals and sighting of monsters yet again", finishing her sentence with a small sigh. "I see", Johann spoke briefly before making a beeline for his office, "I'll hand this over to Artorias for the time being and be on my way, in that case. If you were so kind to let the kitchen staff know he requires food and milk for ... for ... we'll name her later, I suppose".

It took the God of Ishgar not long to settle the creature with his admittedly confused, but cooperative advisor before he left the building, the instant he stepped of the stairs vanishing into a stream of wind and reappearing at the Celestial Sanctum, the island that all three guilds of the alliance shared and had designated as their combined base of operations, at the moment not much more than untamed wilderness and a lot of ancient ruins with the occasional small settlement scattered about. In any case, Jo would follow the already somewhat familiar scent, the two had met a few times before, after all, approaching the woman stoically and distanced, as always, giving her a small, but respectful bow as a greeting. "Good day, Miss West. I do hope I haven't kept you waiting for too long. What is it I can assist with ?"

Post by Amalie 4th January 2019, 11:54 am

Amalie's ice-blue eyes would stare idly ahead in a bored fashion; she had found herself a spot on a tree stumped to sit on. Knee's pushed together, leaning slightly to the left. Her right palm was supporting her chin, while the over arm was crossed over her.  The minutes were dragging by slowly, moment to moment, lingering on ruthlessly. She didn't like waiting, but she didn't really have a choice. She needed for this to happen today, at least if she was going to progress her understanding of what had been going on inside her. If it had been something less significant, she could've let it go. But for some reason, like a worm, this thought had niggled its way into her mind, and she couldn't let it go. It kept drawing her attention, her thoughts, she couldn't focus on anything else. Her need to find out more, to learn the truth, had become almost obsessive. Something was telling her to follow this; her instincts made her feel like chasing this truth would reveal something important. But what? Was there really something living inside, something she had no control over — something that at any moment could render her so... pitifully weak. She needed to find out what it was so that she could take control of her life once again. She closed her eyes, sighing, she was more tired than usual. This thing had been keeping her up, flooding her mind, robbing her of sleep.

There was an intense gust of wind, and she knew, he was here. She glanced up idly at him as he arrived; she had at least been waiting fifteen minutes since her arrival on the Celestial Sanctum. So not unbearably long, but long enough for her to grow lost in her thoughts, to itch with impatience. She resisted to urge to comment on his tardiness, that wouldn't benefit either of them. Not with what she was intending on asking him in a few moments. She stood, brushing down her white uniform. She heard his greeting, offering him a polite nod in response, a small smirk on her lips. "Johann, Thank you for coming on such short notice." She replied, stretching her arms as she addressed him. She needed to limber up afterall; she could sense something strange in the air around them. Following this, she straightened somewhat, his demeanour a little more serious. She took a few steps closer to him before addressing the matter at hand.

"There have been reports of strange incidents occurring recently, portals opening up in random places, monsters appearing. I was hoping this is something we could handle together." She explained to the Vice President, she paused, the next part felt a little strange, almost uncomfortable. Even for someone as closed off as Amalie. Asking for help in any way didn't feel natural to her, she never expected assistance from anyone. She had been fighting alone for the longest time, alone was what felt comfortable, what felt safe. But if she was going to get what she wanted, she was going to have to rely on Johann a little, that was if he was willing. This wasn't the same as putting in a request at the West Fiore Trading Company for a tutor; this felt a little more personal. "You see, considering how well of a job you did training me with Celeste here," Her hand would move over the handle of her rapier as she said this, she glancing down to it for a moment, before dropping her palm and raising her gaze to his. "I was hoping, you would consider taking me on as a mentee. Since joining the West Fiore Trading Company, my magic has improved vastly, quicker than I expected. Yet it remains... unrefined. I've seen you fight Johann. Your abilities are unrivalled. If you allow me, I would like to work with you, or at least alongside you. So that I may get the opportunity to pick up on a few things, techniques that may prove useful to me as I develop as a mage."

There it was, put out there into the open. She shifted slightly on her heels, waiting for his answer. She had openly admitted she was weaker than she'd like and was asking for his help. It was out of character for her, but the only way she could really get somewhere. If he said no, then that was it. She would just have to hope that she could observe him in other scenarios, guild work where they were randomly assigned together. It wouldn't prove as effective as if she were his mentee, this way she could find out more about him and Mars. Why they affected her so? If there really was something to this theory of hers. Perhaps he could prove useful in helping her learn what she could do to deal with it, either manage or be rid of it entirely. But trusting someone with something like that, it was unsettling. She was well aware of the risks, the possibilities of just how involved she may need him to be. It was admittedly unnerving, the idea of having to trust someone again. It wasn't just that either, after watching Johann fight at the Fairy Festival, she had picked up on how behind she really was. Her power was miniscule in comparison, she needed more, much more. Especially if she had any hope of dealing with Charles and his men, they weren't weak in any sense, he had many mages under his ranks, and then there was Charles's power. Formidable and terrifying. That combined with his heartless nature. She wasn't ready to deal with that, not yet. She pushed away those thoughts, bringing herself back to the moment at hand. Waiting for his answer.

The air around them began to ripple and Amalie could feel the disturbance growing thicker, ready to strike. It seemed even if he said no, at the very least. She would be finding out something today, as long as Mars came out to play. She would glance around, she spotted it quickly, the portal that was beginning to appear. Manifesting slowly a distance away from them. She turned, watching it carefully. Her magic pushed up through her and she cast two abilities in preparation. "Empowerment." followed shortly by "Resistance." Her body would pulsate with magic. Protecting and amplifying her in preparation for the fight ahead.

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Post by Shen Kadokawa 6th January 2019, 11:18 am

When the woman approached him, Johann gave her a short nod in response, taking a quick look around. The "Celestial Sanctum", as the members of the alliance had come to dub this island, was equally cold to the winter shores of Tolgalen, though the oceanic climate somewhat preventing the forming of a thick layer of snow, a thin, but omnipresent sheet of fine flakes covering the land instead. The wilderness of this island was just that, wild, untamed, far out of reach of anyone who would seek to find this island other than members of the alliance. From now on, at least. Still, the Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company, too, could feel the strange chill that mixed in with the wind. "So I have been told, hencewhy I am here now. You can count on my assistance", turning to inspect the surrounding area, his gaze swerving through a nearby treeline before shifting to the horizon. It felt like the two weren't alone, and yet there was no one and nothing to be seen in the area, even with his inhuman senses. Truly strange. When the woman addressed him once again, he turned back, tilting his head with anticipating, but surprised expression.

In honesty, the silver-haired male was quite startled by the sudden change in attitude. Amalie West had always struck him as a loner, never quite opening up, not with anyone in the Company, at least. Sure, from what Jo could see and feel, her magic power and aura had changed, improved even, quite significantly so, but whether she had grown as a person ... who was he to tell ? The two had interacted casually before, and the woman knew about Mars in greater detail than most people, there was that, but had she really integrated with the trading organization that administered Tolgalen ? Thinking about it ... he knew hardly anything about the woman before him. When she had finished directing her request at him, he lowered his gaze, raising a hand to his chin, stopping in place for a few seconds. Was this an attempt at trying to foster more cooperation ? The compliments aside, Johann was unsure. The woman certainly was the type of person the Company was looking for, perhaps on both sides of the coin as well, but was she really someone he could work with ? But ... she was essentially asking for help, was she not ? "Well, this is certainly new, tsseheh ...", Mars commented in the back of the VP's head, "... you creatures are always so back-and-forth, why can't you just say what's on your minds ?". Johann couldn't help but breathe out, a small sigh leaving his lips. Yona had gotten strong enough as it was, and the girl no longer required a mentor. He would have the capacity to accept this request, it seemed, so ...

"Fine with me", he answered curtly, expanding on his decision, "If you desire to strengthen your magic and experience, I can be of help with that, certainly. If you wish for me to train you, that, too, can be arranged. I have no objections". Perhaps this would prove to be a prime opportunity to learn more about his guild mate. "Well, aren't you just a saint", Mars, as usual, unable to shut his mouth while cackling to himself in the back of Jo's head. Before any of the two could add onto this conversation, however, Jo felt the sudden and forceful tear through the air, ripples of magical energy sent through the atmosphere as the portal opened without warning just a good few dozen meters away from the West Fiore Trading Company mages. Without delay, a whole range of creatures started emerging from the glowing tear in space, the whole light show seeming strangely festive. On second glance, the creatures that stepped from these portals, too, seemed to be ... christmas themed ? A bunch of elves accompanied by even more polar bears, even two moving christmas trees and a massive, bulky figure, dressed completely in red, towering over the others easily. Johann had to do a double take, blinking a few times to check if this was an illusion. Well, he could see through illusion magic anyway, so this ... this was real ? Was this similar to the events that had occurred around halloween ? Why was it always portals and strange creatures ?

In any case, Amalie seemed to get herself ready for a fight, Jo adjusting his stance as well to face the invaders. The runes on his body would flash briefly with different hues and a surge of magical energy would expand outwards from his position, the familiar, multi-coloured runic bracelet forming around his own and Amalie's right wrist, amplifying both their magic power as they received the ability to infuse their magics with different elements. Following up on that immediately, he raised his hand, intent on not giving the enemies any time to react, the runes on the extremity flaring up with intense scarlet energy, a projectile of glowing, ink-black flame launched at the group. Still, the enemies seemed quicker than they looked, a christmas tree launching forward what appeared like an oversized, intricately wrapped present that met the ball of fire mid-air, both exploding with a burst of energy, covering the area in smoke and dust. Briefly, Jo had raised his arm and closed his eyes, opening them again as the dust settled. It seemed like this attack had been somewhat ineffectual, but ... something was off. Off as in ... his uniform was gone. The various magical accessories, including his white lacrima gloves, were still there, just ... everything else seemed to have vanished into thin air. "Huh ?", Jo spoke, perplexed for the time being while Mars couldn't help but laugh out loud, continuing to cackle to himself with more than amused laughter. "Tsssehehehe ... This certainly is an unforeseen circumstance. Aren't you cold there, old friend ?"

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Post by Amalie 7th January 2019, 2:34 pm

Amalie waited quietly, giving Johann's his moment to think. It seemed like the prospect required that at least. She understood, in fact, if he had hastily agreed without giving it any thought at all, she might have been a little questioning of his behaviour. Still, her lips would curl into a small smile as he agreed, offering even to train her as well as allowing her to observe his fighting abilities. Perfect. At least this way, she got two things, first of all, to work closely with Mars and figure out her ties to the vessel. Secondly, she could use this to grow stronger, strong enough to face Charles or at least survive should he attack her. She was sure Johann could handle Charles, but he wasn't going to be around all the time, and even if she could ask him for a small help now. By now means would she ever ask for his outright protection, she would rather die than sink to such a level of weakness.

"I appreciate it." She said, giving him a small nod, before looking away. She wasn't exactly the type to give out hugs and overzealous thanks you. Her comment had been about as much gratitude as she could comfortably muster. The portal was a well-timed distraction. After casting her initial spells, Amalie would draw her rapier. Now seemed like a good time to practice some of the skills she'd had learned. She watched the portal flutter and from it emerged, several rather curious creatures. Something straight out of a children's storybook, making their way towards them, were elves. Wearing colours that appeared rather negative in tone. Polar bears, snarling viciously in their direction. Walking...Christmas trees, now that was new. And finally, a giant man, in this case, the person Amalie could only presume to be Father Christmas. Who seemed to do a whole thing with his muscles, engorging them to the point in which his clothes would rip. Amalie cocked an eyebrow at the scene. "Well this is...festive." She remarked casually. Not really amused nor bothered by the scene. However, from the look of it all, it seemed that they were dealing with pests more than anything. It was a little disappointing; she couldn't imagine having a great deal of fun in a fight like this.

She glanced over to Johann, waiting to see what he would do. If memory served, he wouldn't immediately bring Mars into the fray. Not until they at least got into the thick of it. She felt a tingling on her wrist and glanced down to see a curious bracelet of sorts. Covered in different coloured runes, she could only presume that this was his doing. A magical booster of sorts perhaps? She was about to ask him how it worked when she was caught off guarded by an exploding present launched in their general direction by the Christmas tree. A response to Johann's attack. Amalie felt her clothes lift from her body, disintegrating into nothing. She glanced down, to see that for unknown reasons. She was now completely naked. Everyone vanishing aside from Celeste and the rune bracelet Johann had given her. Her sudden nudity didn't particularly faze her, Amalie wasn't exactly insecure about her image. She ate well and kept in good physical shape. Her body could only be described as curvaceous, and feminine, as expected of a woman her age without children. Fortunately for her Wyatt had been insistent on keeping her skin unscarred, and had her often treated by some of the best magical doctors on the underground stream. His handiwork over the years, had at least, not left any physical scarring because how could he keep enjoying the delight of her body if his temper was continually breaking it. Healing her had just been another means of justifying his incorrigible behaviour.

As she glanced back up, she quickly learned that she was not the only one who had been stripped of her clothes. He was a little in front of her, meaning that as she craned her neck slightly, she had a very pleasant view of the Vice President's surprisingly shapely ass. She admired it for a moment; she imagined there weren't many in the West Fiore Trading Company that got to see the Vice President naked. His body was nicely built, muscular, but not over the top — the left side of his body covered in runes, the same runes she wore on the bracelet he had given her. She scanned them, slightly intrigued. It occurred to her that there were more important things she could be doing right now, straightening up, she let out a soft chuckle. "Now, this is turning out to be more fun than I expected." She said waving her free hand through the air. Her magic would rise up through her throat. "Shards." On cue, several shards of glass would appear around her. She made a flicking motion with her fingers, and they shot out, impaling some of the approaching elves. She would then stride onwards honing in on a polar bear. Passing her newly appointed mentor. Before she reached the beast, she glanced back at Johann with a playful smirk. "I do hope this doesn't affect your performance, God of ishgar." She teased, shooting him a wink before turning back to the bear. That had already set its sights on mauling her.

Her uniform had been the only thing keeping her warm. As she eyed the polar bear, she wondered. Perhaps, if she didn't make too much mess, she could fashion something out of its white furry coat. She extended her sword, moving into her stand, awaiting its charge. The bear gave, launching itself towards her. She spun on her feet, lighting twirling out of the way, before pulling the rapier back and driving it through the left side of the polar bear's throat. The beast roared, thrashing against her as she continued to force the blade through to the other side. Blood would seep out of it, staining its fur coat. So much for her new fur coat. Oh well. She thought, deciding there was no point trying to preserve it now. Opening up her palm, she called out her next spell. "Burn." Fire shot out of her hand, covering the bear entirely. It's fur singeing, and it's skin scorched. She pulled out her sword, flicking the blade in an attempt to get rid of some of the blood. She would turn, making her way to the next polar bear, figuring getting rid of these would be better if she wanted to see Mars. She needed to leave the big fry to Johann, after all, that was still her intention.

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Post by Shen Kadokawa 8th January 2019, 4:40 am

Well, this was certainly rather odd. He did not expect an enemy to fight like this, especially some kind of strange Christmas tree that was throwing out presents. What kind of "present" was this even ? Still, Jo was annoyed for more than one reason. Firstly, it seemed that whatever he did, whatever he tried, and no matter what mission he would seek to accomplish, he would always, without exception, lose his uniform in the process. He had made the right call standardizing all of his work clothing, the white West Fiore Trading Company uniforms. Secondly, there was the fact that he was now, without a doubt, entirely freed from any sort of clothing. If someone would see him like this it would perhaps reflect poorly on both his own and the West Fiore Trading Company's spotless reputation. That reminded him ... he wasn't alone here. Turning his head slightly, he was reminded of Amalie's presence when she made her way past him, getting a good look at the woman who now, too, seemed to have been stripped by the effect of the Christmas present, tilting his head, staring for perhaps one or two seconds longer than he should have as she walked forward to face their opponents. The woman seemed wholly unaffected by the sudden change. Still, it was quite the surprise, and Jo had never given this a thought, however, left with no choice but to acknowledge the fact that the woman's form was pristine, something the Vice President wouldn't have associated with her ... aggressive style, but by no means an unsatisfactory sight.

"So ... are you enjoying yourself ?", Mars reminding the silver-haired male that this wasn't quite the time to make assumptions. Instead, Jo turned his attention to the invaders. "Not at all", the somewhat straightforward response spoken with a subtle smirk aimed at both the Lord of War and his guildmate. There was, after all, a more pressing matter than clothing right before them. It seemed like Amalie had no issues with this new situation, not holding back as she rushed in for the attack, mowing down some of the smaller fish, somewhat twisted little elf creatures which looked like darker versions of what you would normally expect of the holiday-themed helpers. Well, a situation was only embarrassing if you allowed it to be, the VP thus shrugging it off for the time being and instead focussing on the threat.

Twisting his right hand the red blade of war materialized in within his grasp, glowing with bright red energy before shifting, changing shape into its crimson spear form within the fraction of a second, the God of Ishgar spinning the bladed weapon around, a slight grin spreading across his face. "Let's go, Mars !", his left eye undergoing the familiar, demonic transformation, Mars replying from the VP's mouth with harsh, deep voice as the two shared the vessel once again, "It will be my pleasure". Within the fraction of a second, the shadow and light around the VP seemed to bend, break almost as if a tangible element before being molded into different shape, an aura of intertwining light and darkness surrounding Johann's form, some of the elements running down his arms like black ink and glowing smoke. Around his hands, his fingers, dark talons began taking form, the demonic powers of Mars given shape.

"Very well then, let us have some fun, tssehehe ..."

Instantly, the VP's form blurred, launched forward in a sudden burst of extreme acceleration, a scatter of icy flakes thrown up where he had stood just a moment before. His two heterochromic eyes centered on his first target, Mars grinned as the spear slammed into the elves shoulder, the creature wincing out with pain. Immediately, the twisted monster swung forward a large, pointed candy cane at the attacker, the Lord of War playfully spinning around the spear to block the strike, the candy cane sword bouncing off the weapon's hilt, Jo losing no time, grasping the elven weapon's blade before ripping it from the creatures grasp and jamming it into its neck, jumping back with the spear forcefully ripped out from its body. The thing sunk to the ground instantly, pained gurgles the last sound the God of Ishgar could hear from it.

Promptly, the other two elves that were left standing, but bleeding and hurt from Amalie's attack turned their attention to the threat that was now in their midst, drawing their swords as well before lunging forward, stabbing and slashing fanatically in an attempt to pin down the VP. Mars was unfazed by this, hastily and playfully slamming the spear into the ground before lifting himself up, swerving around the weapon's hilt and upward before coming to a complete stop on the very end of the shaft, balancing on the weapon with a single foot momentarily before dropping down, grasping the hilt and swinging it down with him. With heavy impact, the blade of the spear slammed deeply into one of the elves' shoulders, its eyes glowing with burning hate as the Lord of War spun the weapon with a wide, sadistic grin, lifting the elf's body off the ground and launching it into its companions body, both of them knocked back by the impact. Startled, the elves had just begun to gain back a footing, scrambling to pinpoint Mars' location when he suddenly appeared behind them, the spear grasped by the weapon's very end as he swung widely, the bladed portion of the polearm cleaving through their necks like it was nothing, decapitating booth in a single swing, splatters of scarlet beginning to colour the snow around them in a deep crimson.

Though, with a flick of the wrist, the demonic Seal grinned once more as the blood began rising from the ground, the spear and the bodies of the fallen, rushing towards Mars before, in a swirl of crimson hues, forming a circulating sphere of the sanguine liquid above him, a perk of his newly discovered Berserker magic. It appeared like the spell had come into effect just in time too, Johann quickly ducking out of the way of a clawed strike directed at him by a massive, hulking polar bear, the enraged roar of the monster echoing across the battlefield. "So you want to play as well ?", the Seal asked with a wide smile as he dashed backwards and just avoided another strike, the Seal's eyes flashing with bright red, the normally intricate pupils turning into burning red orbs that left a trail of flaming, magical aura with each movement. "Fiiiine with meeee. Let me shooow you the truuuue meaning of ... agonyyy". With a wave of his free hand, the Lord of War unleashed a heavy projectile of blood from the sphere, the attack slamming into the creature's side and embedding itself deeply within its flesh, the polar bear itself growling with anger and pain.

It looked like it was ready to charge at the still uncovered vessel once more, taking one step forward before stopping suddenly, its movements freezing up, the look in its eyes making no mystery of its confusion. Mars only grinned, his senses intoxicated by the rush of blood. From the moment the creature had been hit by the blood it had been poisoned, granting the Lord of War full control over its form, Mars snapping his fingers before one of the creature's hind legs twisting 180 degrees, the horrid sound of tendons and bones ripping apart only overshadowed by the pained screams. Once, twice, three times, Mars snapped his finger time and time again, and with each snap, another bone would audibly break in half, another muscle was torn apart before finally, with a wave of his hand, Mars ended the gruesome display, the polar bear's heart bursting in its chest. It let out one final yelp, blood spurting from its mouth before it sunk to the ground, unmoving. The sphere still hovering above him, Mars turned to the rest, the glowing charcoals in his eyes meeting the gaze of several other creatures as well as the towering man clad in festive red before lifting the spear lazily over his shoulder, the broad grin revealing the two enlarged canines on each side of his jaw.

    "Sooo ... who's neeext ?"

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Post by Amalie 9th January 2019, 12:38 pm

As she approached the next bear, Amalie stared idly at it as he reared up onto its hind legs. Roaring at her viciously in a manner she just couldn't bring herself to be impressed by. She waved her hand up its body, following the path she made, shards would appear. Slicing their way into its stomach. The creature swiped at them, a feeble attempt to stop their onslaught. Only the loose shards would embed themselves in the bear's paws, and the shards already inside its body would only be pushed deeper. Amalie would shift onto her back foot, Celeste at the ready, as the bear fell forward. Her sword would route itself up through its throat, into its head, and through its brain. Before the bear tumbled down dead, she quickly retrieved her rapier, pulling it back out from where it had pierced the bear. She stepped away, moving along casually as he crumpled to the floor. She moved on, unfazed by the situation, as though she wasn't just butchering polar bears one by one. Not that there was any reason to feel attached, it was just a beast after all, with the obvious intent of killing them.

She made her way to another polar bear, she brought her palm forward and opened it, from it more shards would burst forth. Multiplying vastly, until a sea of broken glass would wrap itself around the bear. "Punishment." She could, and from her palm, a dark cloud of energy would emerge. Floating towards the glass-encased bear, it would envelop it completely. Then squeezing in the magic would squeeze, forcing the glass into the bear's body and slowly begin crushing it to death. Amalie would turn away, watching as a third bear made its way in her direction. Charging towards her, she grinned at its ferocious approach. Readying herself, as the bear closed in, she would duck it's swipe, manoeuvring around it swiftly. She brought her sword up and drove it down into the bear's shoulder. Using her momentum to pull herself up onto the bears back. The bear roared in pain, Amalie would hold tightly as it attempted to throw her off. All the while she was working her sword out of its shoulder. Once it was finally free, she took aim, holding it as steady as she could before finally driving it down through the bear's skull. The was a moment where the bear would still attempt to move, before slumping down dead. Amalie still perched on top.

Amalie took this moment of stillness to glance over to Johann; he still was the same at present, aside from one of his eyes being a different colour. She watched, trying to gauge if Mars was there yet. Finally, she heard the seal speak and felt it. Inside her body felt like a source of energy was curling inside her, something was reacting to Mars's voice. It wasn't the initial reaction she had before, the unbearable loss of control mixed with nausea. But it was something. Still, this wasn't enough to prove her theory; she needed more. She decided to wait off fighting for a moment more; this wasn't exactly a difficult job, they were more than capable of finishing these things off with ease. She would continue to admire Johann as he fought a polar bear. Fighting with skill and precision, his body moving without hesitation. This was a man who knew was he was doing. For the first time in a while, Amalie felt a slight tingle run through her body. There was something about watching an attractive man fight off beasts completely naked that was ... stimulating to watch. As her eyes once again found themselves tracing the lines of his muscles, she would begin to wonder what it would feel like to use her hands explore them herself.

    Stop that Amalie.

The voice barked out in her mind so suddenly, Amalie jumped slightly. It only took her a moment to compose herself, quickly scooting off the polar bear, ducking behind the bear out of Johann's line of sight. Her heart would begin to race because she knew that voice hadn't come from Johann or Mars. But from someone else.

So you do exist. She thought excitedly, shifting from where she was sat. She wiggled with excitement. Finally, she was closing in on the truth. Who are you? She asked, only to be met with silence. She felt whatever or whoever it was squirming within. Yet it didn't seem like they were ready to talk. A moment past in silence, nothing being said. Amalie bit the inside of her cheek with irritation, as she did, a curious thought came to mind, and she smirked, a devilish glint in her eye as she remembered just what it was that had caused it to speak in the first place. She would bring herself to her feet,  drawing her attention once more to Johann. Purposefully, she would stride towards him, her intentions clear in her mind. She didn't know how the Vice President would react to such behaviour, but it wasn't his reaction she was looking for.

    Do not pursue that man.

She stopped walking, there it was. The same male voice she had heard that day, it had the same smooth, and silky nature, except that it was spoken firmly like an order. A satisfied grin on her face, I won't stop unless you tell me who you are. She thought in response, she suddenly got the sense of irritation, except it wasn't her emotion, but someone else's.

Fine. You only wish to know who I am?

She turned away from Johann, moving toward a polar bear instead. And what you are? She asked back, as she began to engage with the beast. There was a long pause before finally, he spoke again, and with her, finally her truth.

I am Anima, the Fifth Seal of the Apocalypse.

& the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann] Empty Re: & the bells are ringing out for Christmas day ~ [Johann]

Taking a quick glance to the side, Mars watched for just a few moments with gleeful joy as Amalie, too, maneuvered her way across this battlefield, massacring the polar bears that had dared to make an approach with seemingly playful ease. Well, this was the way of the world. You shouldn't pick a fight you cannot possibly win, as far as the Lord of War was concerned, and the victor would, as it was natural, claim what was rightfully theirs, their victory. As far as Mars was concerned, though, he could understand what his vessel thought. The woman made not one redundant move and had a certain ferocity to her that excited the Second Seal. If he could do something, perhaps she would agree to mutual combat one day? The prospect of pure wrath clashing with cold, calculated anger ... no, his excitement was getting the better of him. Though, it seemed that indeed, for a human female, she was of the ... aesthetically pleasing sort, at least from what he had seen ... not that he would know. With a satisfied grin, unaware of the processes within the woman's mind, he turned back to face the rest of them, his head tilting to one side, the single, furiously glowing left eye almost bursting with sparks of pure magic that radiated from the ocular as he observed what was left of the group. There were still a few of those absurdly cretinous animals present, their strength obviously no match for someone like him, but those trees ... seemed like they did possess magical qualities which, if used correctly, could prove to be an annoyance, something the Second Seal would rather avoid. Then there was also that enigmatic man of rather robust, towering stature who had yet to make a move.

But before that ... there was still the creature's to go through. The things at least weren't completely idiotic, though seemingly insensitive to magic and unfamiliar with sensory, working to surround the Lord of War and flank him in a semi-circle, the Seal's eyes shifting back and forth with every bit of movement and every step. It didn't take long before one, with a deep roar, began another charge, all other polar bears following swiftly, the 5 massive animals sprinting forward at the Lord of War and his vessel. Patiently, Mars waited, waited until they had gotten closer just a few seconds later, waiting until, just before they would converge where he was standing and, without doubt, start their furious assault. In a split second reaction, just jumping out of the way of a rather well-aimed strike with a claw, Mars vanished into nothing, his form reappearing from the instantaneous burst of speed high above the ground, standing still as he now hovered in place, overlooking the group of bears that seemed confused, perplexed at the sudden disappearance of their target. "Time tooo ... put an end to this chiiilds plaaay", the vessel's hand lighting up with ink-black flame as he stretched it downward, a projectile of fire shooting off towards the monstrous predators before slamming into the ground, causing a massive burst of scorching heat, a dark inferno to erupt around it, immediately engulfing their forms and swallowing the screams of agony.

The flames and heat did not last long, dying down and vanishing shortly after, the confident smirk vanishing from his expression. To his dismay, the creatures seemed still alive, their fur singed, blackened, their forms hurting, but still, they were alive. Mars grit his teeth. His patience was running short. Without much more hesitation, he snapped his fingers, the curse causing the fingertips to spark with negative energy before, just a moment later, the ground was thrown up in a massive explosion, the polar bears annihilated in an extreme shockwave of pure force, a cloud of smoke, snow and dust covering the area around the now gaping crater in the ground where the bears had been just a second before. The smile returned to Mars' face. Floating back to the ground, Mars landed on his feet gracefully, his eyes once again searching for a target. His regular vision was somewhat impaired by the omnipresent cloud of smoke that had just begun to settle, closing his eyes, letting his sensory do the work for him. For a few moments, he scanned until, suddenly, he ripped open his eyes, whipping around and raising a hand, the invisible shield of force stopping the present just in time, the magical box floating before him briefly before exploding into another cloud of sounds, red and green light and smoke.

This time, the Lord of War had reacted in time though, the present dealing no damage whatsoever. In response, he lifted his paw and- ... his paw? Staring at the extremity, the Lord of War, Second Seal of the Apocalypse was caught completely off guard, sitting there, unmoving, the two eyes, one still glowing with burning magical aura, staring at the slightly lifted, animalistic limb. He shook his head. "Oh come on, you gotta be f-", thinking to himself, his mouth unable to produce any sort of sound even resembling speech before being interrupted by baubles slamming into the ground all around him, the Lord of War hopping back as a reaction. Wait, he was hopping? Now was the time Mars got a good look at the vessel and the apparent change that had befallen it, realizing, with an overwhelming cringe, that he had been, in fact, turned into a small, fluffy, white bunny. Without delay, unstoppable, burning rage overcame the Seal, the sparking magical aura in his eye turning into a roaring flame of what appeared like deeply crimson magical power. "How dare you, you imbecilic, lowly life forms. You will pay for this. I will-", interrupted by strings of tinsel shooting from the now nearby, moving Christmas tree, trying to grasp and get a hold of him. Fortunately, it seemed like his magic still worked perfectly fine, his form blurring and vanishing in a flash of light before appearing to back and to its side, flanking both the two Christmas trees and the man in red. "Enough", the little bunny thought, shrieking angrily as hundreds and hundreds of rips in space appeared all around the small, white animal, the countless dozen of eyes opening, shifting and staring down upon the two trees and Santa Claus. With burning hatred, the rabbit unleashed a furious battlecry before, in a massive burst of energy, hundreds of laser-like beams of energy were fired from these eyes, bursting down towards the opponents and slamming into the earth all around. Instantly, one of the trees was torn into shreds, while the other tree was pierced a multitude of beams, as was the man in red.

No, this would not stand. These measly creatures would pay. Fiery, destructive vengeance would be his and his alone! They would learn to fear the mighty Lord of War for ridiculing him like this!

Amalie didn't have to do much with the last polar bear; it seemed the mammals had taken an interest in the Vice president and decided to target him instead. Amalie shrugged, deciding to attempt once again to communicate with the seal that she had now learned was inside of her.  How long have you existed in me? She asked the seal. So far she had confirmed that she had indeed at some point in her life become a vessel to a seal. The same sort of being that lived inside Johann and Markus, except hers referred to himself as Anima and claimed to be the fifth. She went through the seals in her head, remembering the text she had read about the fifth seal. It spoke of the souls of those slain for their testimony to the lord. What did this mean of Anima? What kind of being was he? There were still so many things she needed to know. Why had this being chosen to exist in her and how long had it been there? She had never sensed anything like this before, then again she hadn't exactly spent her life around many mages until now. She could only presume that finally deciding to incorporate herself in the world of magic and meeting someone with a similar being inside themselves would be what opened the floodgates to her truth. Yet most important what she needed to know, was how long this thing planned to stay.

She was met with silence; on top of that, she couldn't sense his emotions anymore. It seemed the seal no longer wanted to talk, Amalie sighed. She supposed she could work on getting more answer later, for the time being, it made sense to deal with the matter at hand. She had dawdled for long enough. She turned to look at her guildmate, to see what he was dealing with. At this point, it seemed he had finished off the last of the polar bears. All that remained were the two trees and Santa Claus.  Amalie was a little out of range and had looked just in time to see Johann get hit with another present from a tree. Disappearing in a puff of colourful smoke, she took a step, looking around to see where he had gone. Finally, as the smoke cleared, Amalie's ice blue eyes fell on what remained of her mentor. Her hand rose to cover her mouth, and Amalie did something rather out of character even for her.

    She burst into laughter.

The sound erupted out of her so quickly and heartily that she found herself slightly bent forward, holding her stomach. She couldn't help herself, it was just so comical. The great Johann Von Weiss, Vice President of the West Fiore Trading Company, and God of Strength, someone who was always so serious and seen to be revered by many. Had been reduced to small, white, and quite frankly adorable white bunny rabbit. Amalie keeled to her knees, her eyes watering as she laughed. Several moments passed before her laughter settled, she took a deep breathe, chuckling as she wiped the water from her eyes. She hadn't laughed that hard in years; it was a welcome change of pace. It was undoubtedly obvious how pissed off the guy was when he blasted the remaining targets with beams of immense magical energy. The first tree shattered into nothing, whilst the second along with Santa was pierced all over by the attack. Amalie would smirk, this would be easy enough. Johann had done the brunt of the world. She just had to finish them off. She turned to the remaining tree, raising her palm to it would release a burst of dark energy, which would envelop it, and crushing it inwardly. The magic would tighten and tighten until the tree's splintered entirely in on itself. Not stopping until it eventually crumbled into sawdust. Then finally, looking at Santa, who was barely holding himself up anyway. She summoned as many shards as she could,  she glanced at the Rune bracelet she was still wearing. She glanced at a specific symbol and decided to test it out as she sent a wave of shards towards the not so jolly saint nick. Then glass would glow with holy light. Aiming for the holes Johann had made, the glass would bury themselves inside his flesh, relentlessly carving deeper and deeper into his body, tearing his insides apart. Eventually, Santa would keel over dead, and that would be the end of that.

"Well that was eventful." She said, turning towards her mentor, she made her way over. Kneeling down, she admired the bunny for a moment, an amused look on her face. She ran her fingers over the creature's fur, "It suits you." She teased, before standing up once more. She glanced over herself, still completely naked. It seemed that killing these beasts would not return her clothes to her. It wasn't an issue here, but she didn't want to head home and be arrested for public indecency.   "Harden." All over, her skin would change, taking on the appearance of a diamond. This wasn't perfectly concealing, but it would be enough. "Flight." She called, and her body would lift off the ground. She wanted to get home, get washed and then review what her plan of action was. Now that she had confirmed Anima's existence, she needed to figure out what to do next.  "Until next time, Johann," She called, before shooting off into the sky.
