- Job Title: Retrieval from termination
Rank: A rank
Job Location: Morgate Town
Solo Word Count: 10,000 words
Group Word Count: 14,000 words
Additional Requirements: At the start of the thread must find a hazmat suit to protect from chemical waste.
Job Description: A desolate area which is saturated with radiation and chemical waste even a mage will take damage from being in the area, however you are being paid a great amount to retrieve a lost artifact from within the area. Many years ago there was a great family manor on a small mountain that overlooks Morgate Town, much of it was destroyed after the bombs fell. Once exiled from the family a son of a maid and the head of house has returned to Fiore asking you to go and retrieve what heirlooms you can. Before entering the area even the highest mage or creature will have to don protective equipment, which may perhaps be found at a store or market for those who wish to purchase it, whatever heirlooms you retrieve will be brought back to the Heir and locked inside a lead sealed box for the safety of all those nearby as residue from the chemical waste and bombs still radiate out.
Enemies: You have the ability to decide on the enemies strength, if they appear, and can create any other enemies if you so wish.
• Weak thorns, although these may seem like a minor annoyance it is important that one is wary of the plants which will tear away at your protective hazmat suit. Leading to more toxic fumes and residue leeching into you body. Excess contamination may lead to prolonged nausea, headaches, hallucinations, hormone imbalances and nerve pain. If too long is spent without treatment it may lead to increased chances of cancer or poisoning.
• Normal Snakes, get bit and feel the pain. They will swarm, small and fast they snake up your pants and wrap around a torso or leg, every few seconds injecting you with as much venom as they can. Whilst the majority of snakes act like this there are rare cases of larger boa constrictors being spotted with their markings glowing slightly after a hearty feed.
• Strong Wolves, a pack of mutated wolves will nip at your heels, any member of the party lagging behind will get swamped, if there is a member shown to be weak due to illness injury or age they will get cornered. Unlike other wolves these have been affected deeply by the chemicals in the area, now thinking only to attack one enemy with the entire pack at once, regardless of how many canine like creatures may die many of these are missing large chunks of flesh, various body parts or were born with multiple limbs.
• Boss abomination, the only way to describe this creature. There is a chance you will awaken the bubonic like disaster. Rising from the ground it will feel like a mere earthquake until the acid wielding creature erupts from below, glowing slightly it oozes out a noxious yellow liquid which is boiling and evaporating in some places. Looking much like many tumors glued together it stands to the height of three mages and is surprisingly fast. It uses aoe and multi-target attacks with its boiling acid due to having bad eyesight. You may be able to defeat this creature for a short amount of time however unless you 'kill' then heal it back above its original health therefore purging it of impurities then it will simply fall unconscious when hitting 0hp and will reawaken within a few posts, chasing all intruders until they leave the area.

Re: Radioactive Retrieval
Wearing a green t-shirt and black skirt with bike shorts underneath and white tennis shoes, Victoria visited a military surplus store in Ace of Spades earlier today. She was looking for a radiation suit because today's job would be taking her into radioactive territory, specifically a place called Morgate Town. Aside from that twist, she would also be working with a partner, a fellow Sabertooth mage named Kenna Terrynhain. The town was still radioactive decades after it was used as a testing ground for a dark guild's numerous biological weapons. If the brunette entered it without protection, she would only end up a glowing corpse.
Victoria had purchased a yellow military-grade hazmat suit with armored glass that could withstand a few hits before shattering. The suit itself could also withstand a few hits and resist minor tearing. Both of those features were useful properties to have in a place that was a bombed-out city full of radiation and Wizard Saints only knew what else. She suspected that the Sabertooth mages might have to deal with looters and mutated animals. Fortunately she had plenty of weapons with which she could fight back if push came to shove.
Victoria approached the outskirts of the former city and waited for her partner. She did not want to go into the radioactive hellhole alone. Something about this place was forbidding even to a normally dauntless mage like Victoria.
She laughed to herself. She had fought crooked cops, a serial killer, crime family thugs, necromancers, monsters straight out of a child's nightmare, undead of various types, and even a mob princess. Why was she afraid of radiation? It was probably because radiation sickness could weaken even the strongest and healthiest person with almost no way to fight against it. It was a slow and agonizing death that made starvation seem appealing.
Victoria holed up outside an abandoned house that was somewhat structurally intact and free of radiation. Doing that reminded her of the bad old days in Capital Crocus, when she lived in the house that Burr reinforced. It seemed that lately she was going on frequent trips down Memory Lane.
Victoria sat down on the front doorstep and waited for Aura while keeping an eye out for trouble. She pulled out the Geiger Counter she had bought and kept it nearby. If any radioactive mutants were around, they would be sure to trigger it.
