Virtues:
Affable: Zieg is considered as relatively friendly or at least tolerable by those around him. Since he was brought up by his parents to have a decent degree of class, he has incorporated that into his everyday life, especially in his dealings with others. To this end, he can usually be seen with at least a polite if not friendly smile on his thin lips and when he speaks, he does so in a welcoming manner. Of course, this is all an act that he puts up constantly to lure others in so he can then convince them to do his work for him since he doesn’t like doing things himself if he can avoid it.
Brave: Zieg is not one to be daunted by a situation which would make a lesser man get all shook up from the source of his fears. If push comes to shove, he is more than willing to jump headlong into the fray to do whatever needs doing (although running away or circumventing said hazard will always be his first choice whenever possible). The only exception to this is if he is dealing with women, since they scare him more than most opponents would (although if he was really really backed into a corner and absolutely had to fight them he would do so without hesitation).
Charismatic: Zieg has a magnetic personality that he inherited from his father. This comes in handy when he has to persuade someone to do what he wants or when he wants to bring someone’s attention onto himself for whatever reason. He can easily slip into the good books of nearly anyone he meets after just a few interactions, thus allowing him to use them to his advantage. That is, of course, presuming that they haven’t already seen through the façade of friendliness he makes a point of always having in almost every situation. Unfortunately, this also means, whenever in the monster territories, the females among them (especially if reptilian) would keep hounding him incessantly as long as he is within range.
Cool: Zieg can almost always keep a collected appearance when faced with a challenging situation or some other form of stress. This ability to never panic and have a steady composure almost all the time has come in handy several times in his past. It is what allows him to analyse the situation and find a way to resolve it quickly and effectively. Of course, if he is in the oresence of women, he tends to lose his cool a bit more quickly due to his fear of them.
Glib: Zieg has had an extensive education in languages so he has quite the wide vocabulary to use against others. He takes advantage of this by using clever wordplay to confound his targets so they will hopefully be more susceptible to being manipulated by him. It is also useful for those occasions when he is caught up in a sticky situation with no other recourse that will allow him to extricate himself from it by talking his way out of it. It also aids him when he is trying to smooth talk his way into someone’s good books (usually those of women)
Shrewd: Zieg is almost always able to see right through to the heart of the matter at hand. This helps guard him against almost any potential deceitful web that his enemies might try to trap him in for their nefarious ends. It also means he has the foresight to pre-empt any disadvantageous situation before it comes upon him by making adequate preparations beforehand. This way, he can make defeating his targets look easy to any beholders and also conserve his energy for more important things. The only ones he has a real hard time predicting and seeing through are any of the female opponents/targets/acquaintances in his circles.
Neutrals:
Comical: Zieg loves to play the fool whenever and wherever he can plausibly do so. He finds this to be a useful tool to make others let down their guard around him and underestimate him. This in turn makes it easier for him to either manipulate them or to strike them outright to accomplish whatever his objective is in the situation at hand. However, this also means that people may not take him seriously and listen to him when he needs them to do so.
Dramatic: Zieg has had training in the theatrical arts when he was a child. As a result, he can convincingly portray any kind of character (masking his true personality with this fake one), allowing him to blend in with virtually any group he needs to in order to fulfil his needs or accomplish his goals. Unfortunately, this past has also given him a tendency to be overly dramatic in his gestures and preference to build up suspenseful tension before revealing his plans to those around him, a quirk that can be quite maddening to his allies.
Flexible: Zieg is remarkably relaxed and prefers to go with the flow of whatever situation life throws at him. This means he can adapt to almost any set of circumstances he may find himself in at any given time and work with whomever and whatever he needs to in order to accomplish his objectives. While this can be a great strength, it also means he tends to chafe when any kind of extremely strict or particularly rigid rules and regulations are thrust upon him and he will have a hard time following them to the letter when its imperative for him to do so.
Vices:
Cowardly: Despite his ability to be brave when push comes to shove, Zieg can be a coward, but this trait only really shows itself when he is confronted by a female target/enemy, making him somewhat more likely to balk/hesitate when facing a female opponent than he would when facing a male one. Due to his bad past with females, he is now quite scared of anything and anyone female. Of course, he tends to exaggerate the degree solely for comedic purposes, but nevertheless, there is a kernel of truth to the fact that women of any kind and any age make him shudder in fear.
He will even try every possible method he knows to run away from his post if the enemy happens to be a female, even if that means abandoning whatever duty he has been given at that moment, unless the reward was such that he would be a fool to abandon it. That said, he will never be scared to the point he would go comatose or catatonic, so he would never be completely defenseless against a female target/enemy/opponent and will be able to bravely stand in their presence should the situation really demand it of him.
Detached: No matter what’s happening around him or how emotionally charged the situation happens to be, Zieg always maintains an objective frame of mind. He is actually so detached that most consider him to be almost apathetic, his heart and mind immovable by any emotion, other than his fear of women, of course. He almost always acts merely based on the pros and cons of a situation which means he can almost never be made to act out of sympathy for someone or if someone appeals to his “humanity”. It is also a deficiency because he has a hard time showing empathy towards others, regardless of their connection to him, though this really depends on the nature of the target of said empathy.
Egocentric: Zieg’s other defining trait is his extreme self-serving nature. Whatever he does, one can be almost always sure the end goal will almost always be beneficial either solely or mainly to him above all others. He almost never acts without there being something in the venture for him, the more tangible the better. He will never love or trust another as fully as he does himself and his possessions, no matter the nature of that person or thing.
Indolent: Zieg is a man of many vices, but among them, his sloth is probably his most defining quality and influences his personality as well as actions strongly. He does not like to exert himself and instead likes to be laid-back as much as possible. He will use any excuse he can get his hands on to avoid exerting himself if the spirit of laziness has him in its clutches, no matter the consequences, so its very difficult to get him moving to do something if he doesn’t feel like it, so he can very well cost his allies a crucial victory or cause them to lose a major advantage. If he has to do it anyway, he will most likely take the easiest, least obstacle-ridden path from start to finish all so he can evade exerting his abilities to the fullest extent possible, so his work can very often be slipshod and lacking in substance when in this mood.
Wily: Zieg is a prankster and a manipulative person at heart. He loves to play tricks on others, especially those that subtly maneuver his enemies into defeating themselves if possible through the use of feints, traps, misdirections, and even traps within traps. He especially favors ones that make his allies or associates doing his work for him so he doesn’t have to lift a single finger and yet can achieve his objectives for any given situation, at least as far as and as often as possible. This is a flaw since it can tend to alienate him from others, especially don’t like to be used as pawns in a chess game they cannot see in action.
Whimsical: Despite his self-interest, Zieg can also be fairly eccentric in how he does things since he loves to mix it up as often as possible. Sometimes, he will be on the side of “good” and at other times, he might just stab the “good” in the back since he feels like doing something naughty instead of nice, meaning his moral code is extremely loose, to the point that many people could assume he doesn’t have one at all. Just when people think they have him figured out, he loves to turn their thinking on its head and completely throw them off track from their original objective(s). This also means he tends to gain an intense interest in something one moment and can just as easily and quickly lose interest in that same thing a few moment later. It also means he may show traits that are not necessarily part of his core persona. So, it’s virtually impossible to tell what he is thinking at a given moment or what he will do in the next one, making him a very hard person to work with and even more troublesome to have as a mark/opponent.

Exotic Things: In his younger days serving as a cabin boy under pirate captain “James the Swallow”, Zieg has travelled over quite a few different areas of Earthland. As a result, he has picked up quite the discerning nature when it comes to anything and everything exotic. So, he now loves discovering and sampling all kinds of exotic things from the four corners of Earthland, whether that be cuisine, drinks, or anything else, even people and other entities.
Himself: There is no one else in the world Zieg loves more than himself. Due to this, his daily routine involves spending quite a bit of time on himself. This self-love is so intense that it often looks almost narcissistic to any beholders.
Trickery: Zieg is an eternal prankster, taking after his magic mentor, Loki the god of mischief in Iceberg’s ancient mythology. He can’t get enough of seeing others fall for his tricks and is endlessly amused by watching them do so. As a result, he is always on the lookout for new pranks to play and new victims on whom to test his tricks.
Dislikes:
Adulterated Exotic Things: Zieg has had many a chance to thoroughly learn the ways of exotic cuisine from around all of Earthland, As a result, anyone who tries to put their own spin on anything exotic, alter the customary recipes in any significant way, be cheap when making said exotic things, entities, or people and pass them off as authentic exotic curios would seem quite loathsome to him. Due to this, he often tends to only go to places which he knows have the most authentic exotic cuisine and drinks from around all of Earthland.
Manipulator/Tricksters: Even though Zieg loves to manipulate and/or trick others either for his own amusement or for achieving some other objective, he does not like others doing that to him. He finds those who try to micro-manage his life to be highly disagreeable, regardless of their gender. So, he tends to avoid other tricksters and control freaks as far as possible.
Weakness: Zieg has had to watch many an ally die in battle because they were too weak to make it out alive. So, now he loathes seeing weakness, both in himself as well as in any whom he encounters, but may or may not show it openly. Even more so than in others, he dislikes the weaker parts of him since they leave him vulnerable to exploitation by others, and so he tends to avoid association with the weak as far as possible (unless they happen to be his clients) and prefers to keep the weaker aspects of himself hidden from the rest of the world, especially from the women in his social circle.
Motivations:
Freedom: As a pirate, Zieg has come to love freedom above all else, even above himself. This is because his freedom has allowed him to travel around all of Earthland, explore the unknown, and have lots of adventures in the process. So, now, one of his main goals is to maintain/protect that freedom from any who would seek to take it away from him, and he will do so at almost any cost because having this vast freedom will allow him to sate his irresistible urge to travel, explore the unknown, and have many exciting adventures either by himself or with others.
Strength: Zieg has seen what sort of atrocities can result from a lack of strength, whether physical, magical, or otherwise, can do to people on his many adventures in the past. So, he now has a deep craving for acquiring power in all its forms as far as possible. As a result, now, one of his main goals is the pursuit and acquisition of ever newer sources of power which he tries to then acquire at almost any cost because it will allow him to protect his freedom, his wealth and himself from those who would try to take it from him or harm him in any way.
Wealth: As a pirate, Zieg finds it natural for him to be attracted by the allure of treasures, regardless of what form they happen to manifest themselves in before him. He has been exposed to many such treasures while working for his erstwhile superior, pirate captain “James the Swallow”. Due to this, As a result, now, one of his main goals is the pursuit and acquisition of ever newer treasures which he tries to then acquire at almost any cost since having this wealth will mean he has the means to maintain his high end lifestyle as well as his freedom to be a pirate adventurer.
Fears:
Loss of Freedom: One of Zieg’s biggest fears is being tied down to anything and anyone. This is because it would deprive him of the freedom he loves so much. That in turn would mean he would not be able to sate his urge to travel all over Earthland, to explore the unknown, and to have lots of cool adventures during his travels.
Poverty: As a pirate and the only heir to one of Earthland’s biggest merchant guilds, Zieg has come to love being wealthy too much to have to live without it now. As a result, becoming poor is one of his greatest fears. This is because if he was to become poor, he would not be able to maintain his high end lifestyle as well as his freedom to be a pirate adventurer.
Women: In the past, Zieg has had many bad experiences with women of all sorts and from all walks of life, sometimes due to his own faults, and sometimes due to things not under his control. As a result, now he is afraid of women and so, he is more likely to balk/hesitate for at least a few moments when in the presence of one or when one is coming onto or in contact with him in some other way. This fear causes him to try to avoid running afoul of them as much as possible so that they won’t go all scary demoness on him and jeopardize anything about him, especially his health.
